Death Grips to him yeah Death Grips was definitely very interesting right um we've been getting a lot of requests for this yeah we have so I'm really interested to see what you I'm extremely I have literally no idea so from what you've been saying I'm like okay I feel like I'm going to be like I'm going to feel a certain we so this was released in 2018 and it's called veteran because he was actually enlisted in the US Air Force uh for four years and then he got discharged because uh he uh complain about a superiors I guess reported abuse or whatever wow that's so Random yeah wow this ALB show on film it is yeah looks like it's the first of the role first of the role first of the role if you don't know it's the first shot of the roll and there's a little burn mark on it cuz that's been like the lyrics sounded like they were over the wrong thing but it was justar it was absolutely hilarious I feel like he doesn't take himself very seriously and I appreciate that in a person yeah it's it's very like humorous he is very like it's like angry but humorous also yeah yeah and I feel like that kind of reflects in the production too like his Productions production style is quite wild sounds very like uh it sounds weird like I don't want to say homemade but kind of like you know but s good yeah yeah and you can tell like he the attention to detail there's so much going onh you know mhm and that I don't know if I've ever really experienced that before that uncomfortable noise felt like it was like down here it was so yeah was a weird frequency for sure it it was very weird I tunnel the sewer yeah I feel like I understand why people would compare Death Grips to him but I feel like he's a slightly different vibe oh no for sure yeah um he has like wild things going on but it's kind of it's like kind of I don't know it's kind of more relaxed he sounds really angry yeah sounds really angry at white people sorry I just think he's hilarious yeah I think he sounds like a funny person the the thing that I really like about some of these beats or like the songs that he does like he'll he'll make that or like track number two there and you just don't know how he's going to rap over it and then he just wraps like crazy over it it fits so well so that's that's kind of what impresses me the most about jpeg like he just I think like him and Danny Brown like they they they rap over like the weirdest beats and they find they find a pocket in the beat where they just they sound good they make it sound good so yeah cuz when I first heard that one for instance I'm like how was he going to rap on this right I'm like how was he going to do this so yeah yeah I love this so far great next is my thoughts on Neo dying what's Neo I believe it's some sort of like website been a while since we listened to the first part of the album I'm sure when I go back I'll have I'll be able to tell you my favorites you can't you can't really it's hard to remember stuff actually really good because it's a one album it's got all these different Vibes in it you can pick and choose and that's the thing is like obviously this just a first listen so like it's you know it's enough to like pull you in and then you I will be listening to this again and then you just start to uncover stuff as you listen to it repeatedly so okay okay we got a couple more so uh this next one is so good yeah it was extremely long um the songs weren't long but there are a lot of them so I I can't tell you which ones were my yeah it's hard to remember I will listen to again I'm definitely going to listen to this again I thought this I I truly I thought it was so good cool I think it's funny like the lyrics A lot of them are absolutely hilarious but also just sounds so good yeah it's a great mix cool yeah I loved all the references I thought those were fantastic I just thought it was a great album I'm really happy we listened to that I feel like I expected to be much more like scared scared cuz like when like on specific speically on the Death Grips video we did it was there most people were recommending this album and like I get it but I definitely expected it to be much much much much much more chaotic than it was I thought it was a perfect amount of chaotic a great amount of weird MH great amount of funny I just thought all around that was a great album I really really enjoyed that I did not prefer the first or second half like I I didn't have really a preference I thought they were they were great for their own reasons cool yeah I love that that was and I thought the song titles were amazing yeah yeah he has a great sense of humor yeah obviously so this was like it's not his debut album but it's his breakthrough album this is the one that I think got him noticed more uh critically and I guess among amongst listeners uh definitely critically acclaimed this album and he has two more so there's one called all my heroes are cornballs okay and uh another one called LP mhm which I think is personally my favorite okay a lot of people say that's their favorite jpeg Mafia album but I wanted you to hear this one cuz I feel like this one's more I don't even want to say more raw because the others the others sound a little bit different but they have the same kind of qualities but it gets more well I don't want to give it away because you're going to I'll get you to listen to those as well and then obviously last year he collabed with our homie Dan Danny Brown so we're going cover that yeah definitely that's the next thing we'll cover from either of them do you have any expectations for that one I guess like after listening to this with Danny Brown I think they're both absolutely hilarious I think they're like the funniest people I've ever heard so I think the album might be funny yeah but soundwise you you probably soundwise I I I imagine it'll be wild cuz Danny Brown is a bit wild and this was a little bit wild um I think to get I I'm looking forward to that I thought they're both so funny we'll definitely do the other two albums at some point just kind of show you like where he's kind of gone musically yeah that's not what I expected I don't know exactly what I expected I think I expected it to be like much more chaotic yeah I loved it honestly I thought it was great I think the chaos is more with the randomness yeah it is very random and you know what I really like songs are like fun I like when music is is like fun it doesn't follow the conventional yeah doesn't have to be like super serious or like whatever I just
