[Music] hi there i'm ashley and when i was 15 my dad brought home a new woman while my mother was in the hospital my mom had gotten into a bad crash on a snowy january evening her leg was shattered into pieces and she had to be put into an induced coma when she was airlifted to the hospital my parents never had a perfectly sound marriage it was full of rocky road bumps along the way all in all they shared 30 years together and i thought they loved each other but i guess i was wrong the person who crashed into my mom's car was a hitman my dad had hired to finish her off so that he could start a life with the new woman that he met through work it was his client as he was her attorney those slimy lawyers he always had something up his sleeve he never told the truth only parts of it but i never thought he would do something like this i never knew any of this when i was waiting in the intensive care unit for my mother to be revived back to life that was until i saw my father happily prancing into the hospital but he was not alone no no no he was with his new chick she resembled much of a normal woman except she was younger blonde in which my mother was a brunette in her middle aged years it was now quite obvious to me that my father didn't care about whether my mother lived or died he had already moved on fury built up within me resentment and angst against him rose in my soul like the fiery depths of hell how could you i managed to whisper scream to him since after all we were in a hospital all he replied to me was don't worry ash you'll understand in time with a smug look on his face he was no longer the father that i always pictured him and created him out to be he belonged in the trash where other garbage goes to rot later on we had to leave my mother at the hospital since her injuries were to the extent of being very serious i decided i would let my dad and his deceitful client have a word with me at home explaining themselves after all he is my father he would never want to tear his family apart i couldn't have been more wrong while sitting me down on the couch he told me exactly what he had done from hiring a hitman he wanted to create a new life for him and his mistress to even wanting to leave us children behind because we reminded him too much of his wife who was dead to him and now may even be dead to the world i'll be leaving for good once i know your mother's outcome he coldly stated to me not bothering to meet my desperate gays searching for any piece of the father i knew but finding none i retorted snarkily finding inner strength it's best you leave now before you can mess up anything else from that day forward i never spoke to him or seen him or his mistress again my mother eventually came out of the induced coma and school when i was an outcast i always wore a hat baggy clothes and shoes with no name brand i would always be teased and because of that i would always speed walk from class to class then i was dubbed the weirdo who walks fast my mom wasn't any nicer anything that i would do she would find something to say about it my parents are super conservative whenever i would do something that she would not approve of she would quote a bible scripture to me when i asked to hang out with my friend she would say bad association spoils useful habits don't you read the bible when i wouldn't get good grades she would call me worthless and say i would not amount to anything whenever i would watch tv she called it demonic i ate food to comfort myself and gained some weight that's when she started to call me pregnant the only kind person in my life was this bus driver when i would take the bus for home from school i would see the same bus driver he was very kind to me he would tell me that i am a smart girl i opened up to him and told him about my mom and her ways he encouraged me to be a better person and to still respect my mom fast forward to high school i was sophomore in high school the teasing got worse once a girl threw water in my face another time a girl smashed my head against the wall so i hid in the school basement to eat my lunch that's when i had the last straw i was eating my lunch when upperclassmen guys came into the basement too they surrounded me i said may i help you the guy said yeah and grabbed me there was another guy recording everything i screamed i kicked him then slapped the guy with the phone and he ran away i never returned that school again after a few years i learned how to do makeup to enhance my look i also became a nurse assistant and got a job with an agency then one day i was taking the bus buying groceries from my mom and guess who i saw that bus driver he kept staring at me he was so happy to see me he asked me on a date i said sure we went to the movies got lunch and hung out life was actually going well until my dad got sick he lost his mind and needed someone to help him and take care of him my mom quit her job to help him so i started to contribute to the house expenses my sister took it hard and stopped attending middle school she was 16 at the time and i was 19. then one day my mom said it's time for you to get out you are a leech and i can't afford for you to stay here you have until the end of this week my sister even added her two cents and she called me a dirty girl my sister and i were really close as children but once she became a teen hell broke loose i left and i called the bus driver and told him he said i can live with him and his sons but first he has to ask his wife hold up you have a wife you didn't tell me then i got mad all over again he said yes but i can live there by saying i am one of the son's girlfriend i didn't have much of a choice i packed my stuff at home and left when i got to his place his son answered the door he was already tote the situation i asked him how old he was he said 19. oh my god how old is the bus driver i thought he introduced me to his twin brother and his stepmom the bus driver's wife she was beautiful so i lived with them the bus driver's son turned out to be a little freak he kept trying to whip out his little manhood ugh i have to move i found a college that i could live in but they needed my parents info and signature so i went to my mom or should i say that lady and asked for her signature she said no and slammed the door in my face i went to the library and googled free places to live and discovered job corps i signed up and within two weeks i left the bus driver's house and that's when my life changed forever i moved to job corps and they had all girls and all boys dorms which was pretty cool i took classes in the medical field there and made some friends my roommate became my bff her name was anastasia and my other friend denise they were both in the medical field too then i met eric he is 25 he had this huge crush on me i was a little hesitant to talk to guys again but eric won me over he would hold my hand buy me cute jewelry and help me with some assignments that i didn't quite understand by the way you should know that eric is a genius the students would call him doctor even our instructors would ask him to teach the class and do the lesson plan while eric and i were courting the bus driver kept calling my phone relentlessly he kept asking stuff like who is eric i asked him how does he know about eric he said i saw on facebook that you two are a couple he screamed i asked why does he care so bad he said i actually love you i said sure you do he said well i want to be with you i asked him about his wife he said they were getting a divorce and wanted to start over with me i asked him then why did you hook me up with your son then he said because it would be an excuse to have me around i rolled my eyes he begged me to talk to him and meet with him on a weekend i agree later my phone rang and it was that woman aka my mom up to now i had been living at job corps for five months mom started talking with asking how i was doing and what not and then she said how she missed me and i said oh thanks then hung up that weekend i hung out with the bus driver on the bus he was at work he asked me to move in with him again i told him no again then one woman got on the bus at the next stop the bus driver looked frightened he quickly told me to sit down but it was too late this crazed woman attempted to attack me and screamed get away from my baby's father wait you have another baby i asked him the crazed woman answered yes she's two thanks i got off the bus blocked the bus driver i went over to my friend denise's house and spent time with her and her husband we got some food and i spent the night with them not liking the way you're thinking in the morning my mom called me to come over and see my sick father i agreed i came over and said hello to my father he looked so sick like he aged 39 years i did bring some things over for him and gave my mom some money for him mom asked where i had been living i told her with denise and her husband then mom screamed you're having threesomes tell the devil to get behind you she ran to get her bible and i ran out of the house and didn't return now i am in a happy relationship with eric he has asked me my ring size so asks me luck thanks for listening to my story i know it seems a little unreal but yes i am a real-life anime character my name isn't really important as it's not who i am anymore but you can all call me tammy i started off my life pretty normal just an average looking girl from a little town in texas i wasn't special couldn't really be classed as pretty and didn't have any amazing talents one thing i did love though was anime i would always rush home from school looking forward to my next episode or to see what new series had come in from japan i was a total otaku addicted to japanese culture when i was about 16 i learned about cosplay the idea of dressing up as one of my favorite characters thrilled me and i got about making my first costume it wasn't very good but i was proud of it my friends all thought i was pretty damn weird but i didn't care i was making new friends in the cosplay community and i even started going to conventions and joining the community with social media i was even getting a small following but that's when i watched it for the first time it was a lesser known anime when it was first released but it quickly began to gain a lot of attention one of the main characters was this beautiful girl with stark red hair and red eyes i felt this insane connection to her she was everything i wanted to be in everything i wanted to look like i became obsessed with her and did everything i could do to become a little more like her i dyed my hair red began wearing red colored contacts whenever i could i even changed how i would act and talk in my day-to-day life to mimic her the more content that came out about her the more i changed i began eating her favorite foods redecorated my apartment to look just like hers i even quit my job and tried to get into the same profession she did however that last one was a bit too difficult so i instead began documenting my life story and showing people how dedicated i was to becoming a real life anime character i got mixed reviews from my followers a lot of people thought it was really cool how i wanted to become somebody new and the lengths i was willing to go for it but a lot of other people thought i was a total freak or that i was lying and faking it it didn't take long for my stuff to go viral and i even began to earn money on sponsorships from japanese companies wanting to help me in my quest to become her these days i go to conventions dressed up exactly like her i don't even need to pretend or put on an act i feel like i am one with her personality and her character to the point i just naturally act like her my boyfriend a total sweetheart really pushes me to do what i want and since it became like a career for me it's even better these days through physical training and some surgery i went through i looked just like her and even act and sound the same so yeah this is the story of how i became a real-life without combing my hair because if i didn't do that it'll turn into a heavy dreadlock disaster for me by the time i turned 17 i'd grown so many long curls that i was looking like rapunzel myself i always thought to myself what if i could meet rapunzel for real and the only difference between me and her would be the magic in her she carries unlike myself but taking care of these long heavy curls has been a journey for me ever since i was a kid cause like any other teen i can't participate in swimming or even dancing it was also hard for me sometimes to even do certain household chores my classmates often stuffed paper and gum in my hair it became so uncomfortable that i had to wash my hair twice to get the mess out when my hair becomes a mess and my hair gets locks i used to sob telling myself was i cursed for having such beautiful long blonde hair of course i know that even if i'm tagged for being a rapunzel my prince will not climb the tower using my long hair and take me with him right how silly this theory sounds but people are naive they'll always find stupid things to make your life miserable once there was a party at my school and i went to a hair stylist she gave me a beautiful hairdo no sooner i started taking interest in hair styling it was so much fun before that moment it was like i couldn't do anything with my long hair but after visiting a hair stylist i was known as rapunzel of the town some girls my age came to me to ask tips on how they could make their hair look more beautiful i was very happy that i had something worth having my whole life changed drastically after i joined the beauty salon of hair styling later i started hair styling myself and everyone adores it and compliments me for my looks that time i learned that one shouldn't feel bad when people brag about your long hair i want to tell everyone and especially all the girls in the world that if you've got long hair you should invest more of your time adoring it rather than cutting it because someone teased you because your hair is the crown you should never take off to be honest my mood depends on how good my hair looks so folks what do you think about my story do you
