[Music] do [Music] [Music] [Music] hopefully hopefully one of my last videos before hitting south korea obviously my videos are kind of posted in random order but i've been trying to get to south korea for like the last month [Music] [Music] right now i'm in the jackson heights area of queens one of the best places most diverse places for food all of new york city meaning one of the most diverse most delicious places in the country this neighborhood is home to little manila tons of chinese restaurants thai restaurants also a large population of people from the himalaya region resides here so you're going to get a lot of great tibetan food food from india bhutan there's a large uyghur population here i don't know what we're going to find today but let's go eat what's your first impression of jackson heights i feel like i'm in a different country yeah it does not feel like manhattan at all it's awesome right we feel at home we're pretty much just gonna eat whatever we find that looks good but there's a huge south american community here mexican food latin food so this neighborhood you can find basically anything you want breakfast got to start off with some mexican food oh thank you thank you thank you so nice let you try the meat before you buy it [Music] thank you much i feel like i need some hot sauce but wow this is pretty good got a chorizo quesadilla double litter quesadilla great corn flavor [Music] it's meaty it's cheesy nice crunch from the lettuce this is a wake you up kind of breakfast all right my taste buds are all awake nice smoky flavor from the sausage another thing you should definitely get here is that you got to get a tamale from one of the tamale ladies spicy beef tamale look at that opening it up tender pieces of beef covered in this sweet scrumptious tamale with green peppers oh my gosh meat is delicious spicy aromatic tiny bit of sweet flavor from the corn and the corn just melts all for a buck 50. you cannot miss you've got to get a tamale when you come here any of the tamale people you see get one from them it's gonna be good y'all let me know what you guys think it's really good it's spicy brian got the pepper how's the pepper a little bit they can't do spicy that much i can't do spicy i could come down here every morning or every day and you like three days this is the best tamale i've ever had seriously i'm bringing people now just so like you guys don't think i'm like saying food is good and it's not good i got like back ups now so you can uh get you guys like a verification of my reviews we're walking around looking for lots of fast food and it's literally inside an electronic store so you literally you have to i don't even see it you saw it right there oh my gosh that's the sign you can't even see it unless you you really look but they do have outdoor dining dinner place isn't open yet so we're stopping by kimfa kitchen there's something you gotta see that they serve the food is so interesting and also i gotta say everything is very not that expensive it looks like huge portions probably ten dollars around so we got a pause which chinese is sponsored to vendors puzzle we got a fried beef rib basically anything that has the word special i wanted it of course the meat pie which is their specialty here and they recommended the beef sausage also this also had a special mark right there so i got that it looks like cumin beef with chili peppers welcome to new york this is another edition of eating under the trench trash it's new york all right so we got a variety of dishes and our main event is not even here yet the meat pie and each dish is only about 10 i think the pricing is really good it's a munto or chinese we call this huajin because it's kind of a twisty mento i love the texture so typically we eat this with soup or they have congee here oh wow it's milky and it's buttery like we never put butter in kanji before it's not bad it's not bad so this is paired up with the beef dish the beef and pepper dish and tibetan food you're going to find a lot of buns dumplings very meaty dishes this is great those are so good i feel like my throat is being assaulted right now and usually in the in the time of covet that's not a good thing here oh it's a very good thing it's so spicy they use so many chili peppers the gravy is fantastic beaver's tender 100 percent get this when you come here it kind of tastes like the chinese it's spicy chilies with beef slices such a great earthy flavor they 100 knocked this dish out of the park you guys going to suffer this is really spicy i can't eat really spicy i'm going to eat small one it's not that bad that's good right flavor is amazing so i think if you don't eat the peppers you gotta eat the peppers eat the chili i can't it's not spicy really yeah it tastes like bell pepper you guys are lying to me i'm so excited because jesse and brian is telling me this is really spicy look at this fried rib holy crap look at all that fat that's on here oh so first of all this is a choir dish if you're not into something really fatty you won't like this good it reminds me of the meat i had in mongolia it's just big chunks of fat and it's so good because they fried it so that there's a little crisp on the ends of the fat i love this eat that with some of your [Music] buns so juicy that is a meaty bowser so meaty and they left so much fat in here that you saw the juice erupting from that thing right the only thing that i think needs is some hot oil and i have it i brought my new additions two of my new editions of hot oil with me i have the regular hot oil and i have the japanese crispy chilies [Music] i don't think i've ever had a hot sauce like this this is one that will usually go in soups and noodles [Music] you can really taste the sesame that's good [Music] flaky crust stuffed with veg and beef the bottom part is so good it's soaked up all that grape beef broth that flavor is just explosive i love the veggies they don't steal the show they just accent all that great beefy flavor the dough is not very crusty it's not very flaky it's kind of like a like a kind of a heavy set dough but it's so great absorbing all that fantastic juice it's also a celebration dish so this is a dish that's about families eat when they're celebrating when they're home together they bring out one of these things i feel like there's a blessed sausage in every single culture in the world and tibetan plus sausage really lovely it's definitely one of the meatiest ones i've ever had if you're not a fan of blood you can try this you don't taste a lot of the blood here you taste really big chunks of meat you don't have a lot of the metallic taste that you would with typical blood sausage even better with hot oil today is one of those prime examples where this food is good it's just better with hot oil let me make one of those tsa yeah we'll make a tsa approved you can carry on the plane plane food is bland already hot oil you're playing flute we're back at the last uh fast food place and they're open now so we've got a deep sushi hey it's a familiar face can we get one chai uh one chive and beef this place is really popular though because we left for like 20 minutes and now it's just full [Music] brian just had a panic attack what happened this orange sauce was so spicy really yeah taste taste it again maybe it's not no no i can't i can't oh jessie's gonna try okay wow that is so spicy all right come on i'll let you guys know it's really spicy or that why you why is there fear in your eyes one is chive and one is chive with beef and right away you can see how thin the skin is it's like you have dumpling x-ray vision so you guys said this spicy sauce was really spicy that was a lot you guys think i've dipped a lot in here actually it's really spicy that's so good huh it's really spicy though right no look at me look at me am i struggling i'm struggling to deal with how good that is but this is so good i mean it's stuffed with filling and chive is sugar is there some kind of broth in here though it does taste like a meaty broth so that's definitely not just like chive sweat or something that is an amazing amazing momo would you like a momo yes i would in just a moment this is momo with beef oh that is juicy this is a borderline soup dumpling this is a sushi lapping obviously it's not sushi it just kind of looks like sushi a piece of gluten it tastes like lumpy a little bit like the xi'an wheat noodle mainly because of the gluten i think it's cold rice noodle wrapped around gluten it's okay i feel like it's just spicy not much other flavor this is spicy is it spicy uh i don't know i'm scared it's all right oh my god oh my god i need water i would highly highly recommend this if you love dumplings this is something truly delicious and truly unique so i'm gonna put these on my top five let's try dumplings in new york you see it oh you guys haven't had a raper before i haven't you have okay yo it's awesome and this place does a really well rape a lady when you're in jackson heights you got to get some latin food [Music] a rapa if you've never had it before i first had i didn't hear about it before i was filming the great cheese hon with insider and we had this in miami and it's so good the outside is made with corn so in this one particular is fresh corn and this one i got is chicharron dip it in the spicy meal i beg you please come to jackson heights and get this the chicharron one i feel like today my mind is being progressively blown the momos are so good and now this this is just beyond words like how do you really describe the love the pure unadulterated love you feel for a food item you can you can only show it by biting the hell out of it when you bite down that escapes from its media imprisonment then you get that slight crunch from the skin this is better than what i remember having in miami sausage amazing but get the chicharron that meat is good i feel like a simple um does not do that justice how good was that it was really good that was so good can we just be honest you didn't even want to come here i know but i'm glad we came how was that your first arepa my first arepa good experience i don't know what a golden momo champion is but i want to eat it hi one beef momo please yes thank you all right conclusion is every time i eat momo i want more momo okay i just want it i think it's bigger than typical dumpling filling the skin is thin this one the top is a little thick but the bottom is still then little fat that defies dumpling physics how so much filling can be held together by such thin skin just made our way to flushing you hear that birds instead of uh you know subway rolling above so you actually hear us talk now uyghur food amazing especially known for their noodles we're getting a big plate of chicken that's like the most popular wicker dish big plate of chicken right here that's iconic oh daniel this is great cumin with lamb so good oh gosh this is kind of like the meat now we had before inside this lamb meat onions oh this should be really amazing either this or non-ball roll oh this is really good the samsa the samsa hello baby that is a big plate of [Music] chicken we got mav and amy joining us for dinner with lunch litter it's like a week or dumpling inside onions lamb outside crusty beautiful dip it inside some of that big plate of chicken sauce hot oil this thing i mean this is already good but i need the hot oil pearl noodles i've never had these pearl noodles before but very algente it's like little noodle nuts and they have such a great shoe the flavor actually penetrated a little tomatoey spicy cumin lamb always one of my favorites they knocked it out of the park with this one what's really hard to do is try to get the gaminess out of the lamb and this one mission accomplished plush it's so tender this is the nun and this dough that's soaked into the sauce like a little pizza from chinese we call it samia we're like death dope it's very dense so the liquid doesn't get in really easy that's why when it's soaked into a broth or sauce it's not going to get soggy easily so far everything i try is good now the main event bamboo noodles inside the big plated chicken you gotta dip it in the sauce let the sauce wash over it wash away it's blend this i call this the never-ending noodle because it's essentially just a couple really long noodles noodle perfect chicken flavors on point everything just tastes homemade i think right after the big plate of chicken my favorite is these pearl noodles i love onion noodles with a lot of texture not a good chewy texture this thing just nails at home dessert time jesse is a monster so where are you going jesse i'm going to eat dinner we've just been eating since 10 a.m i'm proud of you what are you gonna eat thanks i don't know we you don't know i hope you're not eating
