Museum Dates, Noguchi Lamps & "Rare" Muji Purchases | Life in Tokyo

[Music] it's not come on bro [Music] we made it aome we go bit of a wait maybe like we waited 70 minutes it's um pretty nice the Yuzu was nice the one I had was nice I forgot what it was uh sh it's just like a sh with like special in it very soft very tasty and yeah I think maybe like a 8 out of 10 I think I don't know I don't like what would you say this was the best ramen you've had in Japan or not so much I don't know like it was good it it it was great it's just hard to compare yeah I don't know I haven't really had like Shi AR in that much so Tokyo Tokyo is like famous for their Shield so I do I do like it compared to like tonu which is like a little bit thicker heavier heavier flavor I feel a lot light to right now you sick but say like a solid 8 out of 10 I would recommend opens at 10: a.m. so come here a little earlier and get your fix it good stuff what like day I get your frequenc when I'm recording like we could do this frequently and end up like the L you knows that I got you like you got me every so often out into your passions like I invest you need a camera to show your Perfection standing in a for [Music] this one's nice there I think I like the green one the m this is cute you have this one then yeah I really like that one but I don't need any more ples you literally can't get this in a is this c yeah it is think about it this way look at the price it's $10 each do you think you'd be able to buy something like this in Australia for $10 there's no chance there's actually zero chance like this thing it's just cute and this is like $5 this is so cute as well you be cute for like olives something right no I definitely think that like M this stainless steel Muji wear that we can't buy in Australia is good cuz it's like cute shape and it won't break in the luggage yeah yeah it's and it's light and it's $10 each it's like the devil in my ear it's a no brainer oh but look it's pretty expensive oh yeah you want the sound I think these are actually like handmade stuff maybe I put it sa sauce y for sa sauce nice popped a couple little things nice nice got a couple little Cutlery things I'll show you guys [Music] later like [Music] [Music] understandable so I just came back from some shopping and so oh so I just came back from shopping and as you can tell I got the bag and I thought I'd sh with you guys what I got because I got some pretty cool stuff so let's just get right into it so from the museum I bought a little poster I thought it looked really cute the way they framed it the poster is basically just a outline of a motorcycle thing it's like a blueprint that's blueprint it was $6 it's pretty cool so I just got it now the next thing that I bought was really special and it's been something that I've been looking for ever since I came back here and it is another lamp by nuchi it's an akadi lamp now these lamps they're pretty cute they're made out of the same material as the paper like walls that we have here in Japan basically just diffuses light really well it's got cute structure to it and yeah I've been a big fan of it for a while and I bought my first lamp from them last trip I think it's like last year sometime and I got it for about 250 AUD Australian do and this one I got for about the same price now thing is in Sydney these lamps cost like triple the price of that so yeah no way want to pay that price but I went into the Herman Miller store and as you could tell I was pretty lucky because this was the last one and it was the display piece that they had I just asked the guy if they were selling it and yeah he said this was the last one so I got him to pack it up and put it in this box and I bought it I'm going to be on the hunt for more of these so if I see one in any stores over here I'm going to grab a and I'm going to bring it home for sure I actually haven't seen this model before so it's kind of cool now this is the poster this is one of the posters it's a uh very nice green color there is a little Wrinkle in here that I just noticed but I'm sure I can fix that up the other one it's like a white color and it has these like blue little um marks on it from what the guy at the shop told me is that these are the same patterns that are printed onto some of the more popular lamp choices I think it looks really good as a poster so going to have to frame this up for sure it's also the same material as the paper on this so it's a little bit see-through and um very light especially at the home and Miller store this was really r can you pass Wilkinson Wilkinson if you know you know now at the end of the day Mii took me to this place called found Muji and found Muji is essentially a Muji shop that sells a little bit more of their rare items but then when I walked in I was kind of confused cuz it looked like it was just the regular items but after looking through a couple of different different items I picked up two things that I thought were kind of cute and for the price I thought why not first thing a little bit random but it's a a ladle holder it's this burnt orange ceramic Ladle holder honestly nothing too special about this except that it was I think $5 so I got this it's got a little hole here so you could probably hook it onto something but I mean it's just like a cute color so I thought eventually I might use it next to that I got a little vase tiny tiny little black vase I think it's really cute on the display they had a little dainty like dried up flower in it so I'm probably going to do something similar or just keep it on the Shelf either way it's not really doing much but it's kind of cute yep yeah that's uh all the stuff that I bought for this video um stay tuned more videos to come that's cool if you haven't subscribed
