(Please turn on subtitles in CC 🌐) Let's start! We got a VIP fast track before arriving You can skip the regular immigration line (In hindsight we didn't need it since we're not in Bangkok during peak season) But thought I'd share if you're planning a trip to Thailand The fast pass package also includes airport car service to our hotel You can purchase these packages on Klook or KKDay (Not sponsored) Our hotel is located in a small alleyway We have just checked in to our hotel: the Ad Lib Bangkok And we are staying in the Superior Plus Room Our friends are staying right next door to us So here's a little room tour We have our bed on one side The desk on the other And one window that overlooks some residential buildings And then to the left is a small mini bar- Where Vic is doing his charging for all the cameras and gear that we have There's some free water and tea And then across the bedroom we have the bathroom One thing I wish there was is a door that separates it So- you know- you get a little more privacy (but that's ok) We have the vanity and the sink And a closet with a safety box We already hung some stuff here And then across is the toilet And the shower And that concludes our short but sweet little room tour! Trying to get a taxi on 'Grab' The wait is no joke- order your car 10 minutes ahead of schedule This itinerary is clustered by locations to minimise time on taxi A Michelin recommended restaurant The original store is across Where you can get a bowl of noodles for only 60 baht! A light lunch before our massage Victor wants to organise these cables lol What is a 'cheek bulge' surgery πŸ˜‚ We just had a quick lunch We're going to grab a coffee before heading to the spa! A coffee shop with an industrial aesthetic Did you know Meiji milk is from Thailand? Freshly squeezed pineapple juice I love the modern interiors of this spa Filling out our massage preference form: You can also choose a post-massage dessert! I'm doing aromatherapy so you can choose a scent of oil Quick foot wash before the massage Tea, ice cream and a warm neck wrap to finish Now for some shopping! This mall makes Hong Kong malls look tiny πŸ˜‚ The food court alone spans two floors Attempting an 'M' πŸ˜‚ A shop full of curated stationery and art supplies The stationery isn't cheap though! There's a few Bangkok brands I want to check out here: So all 3 stores I want to go to are all next to each other! You know I love cute, random shops... Frank is a lifestyle store selling fashion, accessories and small home goods Omg these bear posters 😍 Picked out some shirts to try It's summer so I need some short sleeves And I really like this collar I think it's called the 'cuban shirt' It's a green Cuban shirt It's an XL- but it's quite big on me This is a yellow stripe It's a bit short- I don't know if it's a women's shirt actually This is the brown stripe with the blue Also a bit short- not sure if it's the wrong size But yeah... probably a no Sadly most of the clothes are one size :S Meanwhile... the girls are getting stickers πŸ€“ Victor found a logo-less MagSafe iPhone case he wants! (Shopping haul at the end of the vlog!) Next door is a pink-theme store: A Y2K inspired store Still into my bows Here to check out this Bangkok fast fashion brand! Their tote bags are really popular in Hong Kong Wish this had more structure Going to get a pre-game snack before dinner Because the restaurant requires waiting for at least an hour :S I want to try this Thai exclusive! Surprised there are so many Western dessert shops here It doesn't taste like salted egg yolk... It's more like a custard Hong Kong bun! Always love visiting local supermarkets when we travel Going to pick up some snacks Some very interesting chocolate flavours including: "Peanut curry chocolate" To properly explore this mall you would need a whole day... But we have a lot to do tonight still! Hopping on the BTS Using Line to get our single tickets Not here to buy anything Our friend is an architect and wants to have a look at the building design Bangkok loves Care Bears! My friend is copping one hehe Now for dinner! All right... Let's see how long the queue is It's closed for Songkran 😭😭 Luckily this area has tons of food Okay backup plan: we're going to go get chicken rice Maybe we'll go back for the noodles on our last day then! They serve both fried and boiled chicken! Not gonna lie.. the heat was killing us I want to check out a bar that's just 10 minutes from here Live performances every night But first you need to find the bar entrance... Which is literally hidden behind one of these photo booths So dead. Goodnight Grabbing breakfast at the hotel Breakfast today: I got the Vietnam noodles with a large onsen egg And then Sam got the Greek yogurt granola bowl Good morning! Just want to catch you guys up to speed with our little Bangkok itinerary We hit the ground running yesterday after we landed We went straight to eat lunch, spa and coffee But we will be here for 4 days in total And our itinerary is just packed full of spas, shopping, eating and coffee hopping It's also 40Β°C here- I notice I don't have any shorts And I need to buy a pair of shorts ASAP Our first stop is a spa Book ahead- they only had a 10am slot available A friend recommended this spa to me Very wabi sabi interiors For oil massages you can choose from a variety of blends They also have a scents based on the 4 seasons Our couple's treatment room Changed and starting off with a quick foot bath Returned to the foyer for tea and a herbal neck pillow Checking out the shop before leaving Would recommend this spa if you want a slow, relaxing massage Yesterday we wanted to do Tom yum noodles for dinner (That restaurant is closed) And we originally going to do crab fried rice today And that restaurant is closed So we're going to go get coffee Regroup our thoughts and find somewhere else to eat lunch! Looks like a resort more than a coffee shop... You didn't read wrong Most people visit for the Instagrammable interiors We came because of the name 🀭 The cafe is popular with freelancers Can't wait to try these beans XD We decided to get Pad Kra Pao Order first, get a receipt and wait for them to call your number Customise your spice level (You can also get takeaway!) They told us to come back in one hour Lightsaber ice cream at 711 By the time we sat down, we waited 1 hour 15 minutes Honestly it was hard to enjoy the meal Everyone who is still queuing is staring at you while you eat πŸ˜… So I feel stressed out and try to eat fast without tasting my food If you've ever been to Australia Dairy Company in Hong Kong.. same feeling πŸ˜‚ I need to go somewhere to calm and cool down πŸ₯΅ This is a stationery store and coffee shop (same as Emquartier) Mediums has a standalone store here with a cafe in the back We love the interiors! We're heading to a coffee shop to kill time Because we're going to wait for this rooftop bar to open to see the sunset A 3-storey cafe that's decorated to my taste We are now heading over to the rooftop bar! The bar is in this funky building Dang, there's a line to get up there! We got there 10 minutes before opening The bar layout: After an ID/bag check and 2 elevators up... There's a lot of seats to choose from Tichuca is known for this funny LED tree At night it lights up and resembles a jellyfish The drinks weren't very strong- even for a lightweight like me haha Come here for the view and the ambience Upstairs is all bar seating Waiting for blue hour to set in Suddenly the jellyfish turns into a rainbow 🀳🏻🀳🏻🀳🏻 Picking up mango sticky rice for dessert back at the hotel tonight 🀭 This tricolour one caught my eye Secured the bag πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯ I'm as sticky as a mango sticky rice... Ready to head into a shopping mall for the rest of the night A luxury mall we always visit for the supermarket in the basement πŸ˜‚ Yo I have never seen such a large avocado like this before The staff are singing and dancing πŸ˜‚ The supermarket is so big- we didn't know where to start first No way... I know this is Korean But I've been looking for this bag brand for a while now I tried to purchase one of their bags online but it was always sold out But I also wanted to try them on in person first before buying The pop up is only until April 28 :( My new baby!! We just finished shopping So now we're going to grab a bite to eat at the food court restaurant We really want to ride a tuk tuk... one that has a lot of lights πŸ˜‚ She's negotiating the price... Our driver has a massive durian in the passenger seat πŸ˜‚ He tries to cut in front of another car... but is unsuccessful This is the Chatuchak fit for today! I need shorts! Today's plan: coffee, lunch, weekend market, spa! But first, gonna need a coffee... This local cafe also roasts their own beans I'm trying their "Good day" blend which is a medium roast Really like their branding and orange interiors Got a bag of beans ;) Tip: always ask for the freshest batch roasting date You know I love chicken rice! In 2018 we went to one that has a massive chicken rice plate Today we are going back there and eat there again There's boiled and fried chicken options Here it is! The giant has 2kg rice And 1kg of chicken 😱 Not gonna lie: the cucumber is my favourite part of the dish And to top it off: Sri Leung has an air conditioned room upstairs where you can eat comfortably We managed to finish the chicken but not the rice πŸ’€ Need to walk off all that chicken We back, baby! Victor is on a mission to buy summer clothes This one corner shop is really popular with tourists: For their smiley face crochet bags! It's a blazing 40Β°C outside There are so many cute Korean-inspired tote bags! This shop caught our eye Fell in love with this hat! "I'm not fat, I'm just fluffy!" My first purchase at Chatuchak! Found a local cafe in the middle of the market Asked for a fruity roast: this one's from Chiang Mai! Bought a bag of beans- 100 grams- something small! We stumbled upon this drink stall across Jerd Coffee Roasters Every drink is made by hand so we lined up! Worth the wait πŸ₯Ή Section 4 and 5 are my favourite sections at Chatuchak market It has a more 'indie' vibe with smaller boutiques I can't tell if these are real Polo shirts or not... The trees also provide more shade so we can walk more leisurely Victor spotting some shirts he likes: I can't leave Chatuchak without my coconut ice cream Choose your toppings We got our coconut ice cream And now we're heading off to DD Mall to check out some vintage stores Got sidetracked and got a mango smoothie Don't sleep on this mall if you love vintage! DD Mall is across the Chatuchak Weekend Market Clothes and Y2K aesthetic items can be found on the top floors Are we in a beach club or a coffee shop? Nana Coffee Roasters is packed with customers! Trying a hand drip with beans they recommended They also serve really elaborate desserts like this Strawberry Bomb Would like to come back on a weekday! On the way to our spa appointment we saw this cute block of buildings There's a few shops but mostly people taking pictures outside We're getting a foot massage plus head/shoulder The space is beautiful, but I didn't have a good experience There was some miscommunication And skipped my head massage completely πŸ˜” Maybe just not my luck today An upscale mall across the river If you like lifestyle shops, I recommend going to EmQuartier (Just because it's more convenient ) Going to have dinner at the indoor floating market Picked up another mango sticky rice for my dessert tonight We decide to sit down at this duck noodle restaurant! I recommend leaving before 10pm so you can get a taxi before the rush! A cute gin bar in Chinatown! We got turned down because they're full tonight :( Backup plan because 'Teens of Thailand' is full So we're going to check out that Wallflowers Cafe I know this cafe is famous for their aesthetic cakes But we could hear live music spill out into the streets and came to check it out But I didn't know they're a bar as well? πŸ˜‚ A cafe/bar that looks like it came out of a fairytale It feels a little like 'Iron Fairies' Another day, another mango sticky rice I'm a chocolate dessert person But how aesthetic is this colourful dessert? Our last day in Bangkok! And we are hitting up a few coffee shops in the Talat Noi area! An old Chinese publishing house turned into a cafe! I like the warm interiors They also have a charity program For every item you order from the menu, you get 1 coin Each coin represents 1 baht which the cafe will donate on your behalf They have a huge selection of cakes that many people recommend! This is a sign I was meant to come to this area We heard Chinatown is aesthetic And it's true! I feel like we're walking into a vintage Hong Kong postcard Known for their puddings- I wanna try them all! Are you supposed to pour this on top? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Cold desserts just hit different on a hot summer day What no queue?! All right we're at this Michelin star oyster omelette restaurant Look at the chubby oysters! On our way to the last coffee shop in Chinatown Stumbled upon this cute glasses shop with a vintage vibe On the ground floor they sell classic eyewear Upstairs has a 70's aesthetic selling vintage glasses The tea is from northern Thailand Usually I find Thai iced tea too sweet Wasn't expecting too much when we stumbled upon this Thai tea shop But when I had a sip of this- oh my goodness- it tastes like a Hong Kong milk tea But a lot smoother and lighter And it's got a very floral-y kind of tea taste And it's really addictive after you have the first sip Finally reaching our intended destination! My friend @bankpyt recommended this coffee shop to me! The cafe is originally from Copenhagen Their Silom branch specialises in bread! First time trying a cardamon bun and it taste like ginger And that's it for Chinatown today! Had to stop by the 'Daddy' standalone store The sticker shop gave me such nostalgia! They also sell stationery and cute tech accessories Upstairs is a Photo Booth theme If you're looking for cute local brands, Frank! is the shop for you "Everyone is..." "content creator" I like this but I'm content with my new STAND OIL bag! Cassette tape-lined staircase Interesting area... upstairs from Frank Garcon A cute store that sells baked goods packaging! Trying some local McDonald's It tastes like chicken nuggets with spicy sauce lmao Since it's our last day, I want to take advantage of the hotel! Haven't had time to enjoy the pool yet I've heard a lot about head spas lately- Really excited to try this one I found here in Bangkok! Personally, it felt more like an upscale wash and blowout (It's also not cheap) Made reservations at a cocktail bar for our last night! The hotel here is HUGE The humidity 🌫️ Crowned #3 best bar in Asia Inspired by Argentina and the Art Deco style Got a lot of snacks because we'll be having a late dinner It's our last night in Bangkok And we're going to try this place again called 'Jeh O Chula' We were here during our first couple of days But it was closed and today it's finally opened up! But it's an hour wait long Dayum!!! Better be good! It's 10:50pm- we just got our ticket They said to come back in one hour We just wandered the food street This cola slushy stand should come to Hong Kong! Can you believe it... we only had to wait 40 minutes!!!! And here comes the piΓ¨ce de rΓ©sistance: 2 visits and a 40 minute queue later... we got our instant noodles! Last mango sticky rice Sad this one doesn't have toasted mung beans Pad thai, latte art and dim sum at an airport lounge? 🀯 Wow you guys are still watching this? Well, this is our shopping haul from Thailand So, as you may have noticed I lost a bit of weight over the past few months So I did want to buy some new summer shirts I got these from JJ market They were about like 80 bucks HKD per shirt I got a blue stripe short sleeve seersucker shirt And I got a brown color one And lastly, a striped red linen shirt I also got a couple items from the Chatuchak Weekend Market Which is this salsa t-shirt and a green baseball cap I've been influenced by Victor's obsession with green We also have a couple of stationery items from the store, Frank Garcon Which is a Thailand based lifestyle brand that you saw I bought a pack of stickers I'm gonna put this my suitcase and a little postcard just because I thought it was really cute And from the same store I got a iPhone 14 pro max silicon case It has no logo and it has MagSafe And it's the same green I've been trying to find all along And my biggest purchase is from a Korean brand But I haven't been able to see in person And they happen to have a pop up store in Siam Square Which is this chubby bag by Stand Oil I've been looking for this bowling bag for a while now And I'm so happy that I got to try it there in person If you're interested in hearing more about this bag, I'll probably do a 'what's in my bag' video in the future At the local grocery store, we found this peanut curry chocolate bar Thought it be fun to try one, got one of these And these lavender scent inhalers It's supposed to help with nausea or migraines so I got 3 flavours And last but not least, coffee beans from Thailand! I wanted to try locally roasted beans, so we got 3 bags The first one is from Jerd cafe from JJ Market And the second one is from RISE Coffee Good branding, it's called 'Good Day' And lastly, From a coffee shop called 'CUM' I got the seasonal blend which is a light roast Ethiopian blend And that's a wrap, thanks for watching!
