Mudlarking Bottle Beach: Return To Pottery Paradise

[Music] filming now Kate hello zubaba see we're back our favorite beach again today and I just there's been like a lot of storms recently in a lot of flooding so we're kind of hoping some new things have been on earth so and I could already [Music] it is just quite nice to come here because it's some quiet its competitor oh look at that compared to the fall shop that's pricey tide is lovely and ouch today oh look there's a piece of I don't want to start carrying that already but that's a nice piece of there's a nice piece of Victoria edging yeah but it's very big I have to be so choosy when I come here pottery wise I think that has something like [Music] I'm not sure I don't have enough hands you have to sort of make a conscious decision when you come here well if you're gonna go for Oh every time I start speaking and tried to tell you something but you look at Matt's that would be in the top of a beautifully lid of a paste pot or something I can't not all be there I would be stunning [Music] Oh as I was saying you have to make a conscious decision whether you go for bottles broken anyway but out there in the mud or go for the little things they're all in here and I don't know I think I like little things more than I like bottles but I do like thumb bottles I seem to find myself going towards the small things Wow such a beautiful pottery here really is but I want the heads and the beads and I'm not gonna find them out there there you go you start out in the little things and immediately look at that pretty little stopper that's a little perfume stopper that's so beautiful [Music] my decision coming to the small things [Music] cake will find the bottles through the weird mindset that you have to get into doing this here anyway because there's so many things you have to accept that you're missing some of them sort of therapeutic just after so if you're seeing loads of things I'm missing I hope don't think about why what is that makes me see something I know they talked about taking I in on the foreshore if you see the same shape and it's to go just Britain look for circles and straight lines but there's no circle a straight line and a doll's head no no it's weird odd thing to do [Music] [Music] [Music] something enough that I think I'm gonna take it that piece is quite nice too [Music] [Music] Wow that would have been stunning Oh No look at it look how thick the bottom is Wow that would have been beautiful [Music] lid I'll take that so maybe it'll fit something you have at home the tide is super out today so good potential but also as you can probably tell this place can get a little overwhelming sometimes just a sheer amount of pits everywhere you want to look everywhere but at the same time you don't really know where to look [Music] in awhile since some we found a whole bottle or a doll's head and this place has always been quite lucrative for dolls heads so maybe today will be the day that we find one again pretty pretty piece of pottery they're really lovely flower see that's quite cute in this most hole but this seaweed is growing out of it and that's a bit too much seaweed to pull up hot to new things living in it so I'll leave that one what's that well most looks like like a fin okay so like fin it's quite a big chunk of like yellow class I got do one open oh that's just like that is like a whole pot I mean it's chipped and broken it's supposed to be that size but I think I'll leave it Oh who is that I think potentially that is some knees the leg and arm their heads missing of course but this is like a little level ball and that's possibly like a little lamb or cat oh well clean that up I'm gonna get home I think that's what it is help sweet boy rich in London see this this area looks like a lot of freshly especially uncovered treasures but it's just dirt hides quite there's a lot of boats around here and quite a lot of it's just smashed beyond recognition pretty pretty pretty sad but every now and again you'll come across a little unbroken treasure fingers crossed we'll find some of those today [Music] you [Music] houses see the pagoda time again another one over here I'm gonna have to make an oriental plate picture aren't I [Music] it's pretty [Music] that is definitely the top to something but I don't know if it's got any waiting on it so in way that I do I put it in my pocket the little button again could have something on it but I can't see take your home to clean it [Music] sometimes you just have to stop and really look definitely have something on the heel clay pipe that's the worst investigation tiny piece of clay pipes down with WB on it this used to be with her pipes are [Music] no I said that I won't burn I think another one oh is that a big door I'm sort of toggle you shame it's broken there but that's quite unusual like a beehive [Music] Katy's making noises in the background that makes me think she's found something good I don't believe this oh why [Music] it's a tiny arm never a leg just the arms maybe I just resort to put the legs and arms on the legs cuz Oh thumbs up oh come on God give me a leg button we made a film he'll once cool button because there were so many buttons and it might be again but we didn't make a film on scald this is weird old come to West and I already found an arm today actually like to name this video look at all the heads and beads and marbles we found on this beach optimistic [Music] this looks like a version like this last time we were here it's like my version of a bird you can see where they burnt it oh it's all fused together I wish they hadn't burnt it this is a bit like their Thames for all the time is little bits of metal lots of little round metal things here it could be a watch winder or just the end of a sardine tin lots a little little bit but that is the top a pocket watch maybe [Music] that's definitely a piece of shaped glass [Music] he's lost his top but he's quite cute do you think this cellar next one is hole - [Music] how cute Oh little friends says talk this says Orie up Jos and it's called reading people's heads almost home and then we see lovely beautiful bottles that you know that have like right hang on it's that a stopper it's not a chop or it's another like knob the door knob or handle drawn up oh that would absolutely tiny huh three shoe soles together come up with a beach like this you've gotta be really careful make with your feet because you don't wanna accidentally draw it destroy something alive the magically whole cuz I can see some bottles that promising Lee baby hole almost I thought that was just a tiny piece of pottery it said marmalade and they think it's just you can see it's broken so I learnt that I'm pulling it out but I think it still good its bottom are white don't boo ya our W and sunlights oh that's so almost whole so you wouldn't be gonna be difficult to like she had the top off but I've got quite a few bottles that are waiting to have the top cheered on so I'll leave that one sometimes I wish we wouldn't come when the tide was out because that to me looks whole but it's just too far out it really is the tapered leg they're not for me they have the doorknob that one's a beautiful color but I'm not sure what I'd do with it what does this one say London trademark with like a would have been beautiful okay that is a deceptively deep bit well what's that it's perfectly round sort of stone just happens to me I'll clean it and conveniently right next to a clear water and that could just be a very round stone but it could be something else it's quite heavy say it again I'll ask mum that looks around that looks round but also quite big Oh mystery round things that's metal but I mean it could just be but oh it's quite big oh so it's the coin it seems quite large this sister this is the first thing is that just a round stone but is perfectly round isn't it to be honest whoa could be a big marble and then this huh that's a good is it yeah we don't have a lot luck with coins that look like that but maybe it's huge it's definitely a coin that's not TP that's too big and huge and flat oh yeah no it's old so wow we're filming this and for you ribbon like maybe last week but our trip to the Thames was yesterday when I found my coin to give you an idea of how vicious the diet is here even-paced spots get broken this one of the because I can drive him out and now we have time to sit because we don't have to worry about my dad getting home all day it's a crude table this crouton doesn't know I mean on the floor yeah the ball would the baits are done yeah Maginot would have been quite nice on that she brought delicious cheese it's raining all right well we're having to fill the out show in the car because this isn't some run because it suddenly started really raining so probably here so not that much today Bree was was all about being able to drive us somewhere to find stuff not there and we found some yourself maybe my coin is that elliptic it is maybe is a big giant marble oh it went to the beach that we always go to you again we call it bottle beach and I thought sunny again is pushing Kate's arm suppose he's trying to record this film exists a very unprofessional sunny so we went to the beach that I like yeah well I like to get pottery for work which I'm going to do one day but the pottery but my favorite thing that we found is the tiny arm and before we found heads and two other arms so now I've got well he's licking the young but this one's a little thumbs up it's so cute so we're gonna use it as a symbol in our thumbs up symbol because that's the like symbol a like symbol because that's what it's doing she's doing it maybe it's a little boy doing that but maybe not so that's cool just need some legs one day I say in the video I might use arms as legs for my weed dog because I just can't find the legs and then the pottery is the next favorite and there was some amazing things on the pottery it's quite camel on it it's got a camel I mean that's I don't know what that would have been but that this was a little man in a sea he looks like he's standing on a board it's like a round thing what that is one pagoda to go does three pagodas maybe four pagodas in the top of one and a willow bridge just slip this one's pretty good like a little church in the middle of it this one's amazing I think this would have been the like an advertising the pop-up some sort of pot but it's a beautiful that would have been so beautiful it's very sad punkin take one's pretty pieces too lots of flowers and then it's this bit that would have been part of like a decorative so like a condiment set and Katie found this little figurine but the tiny I'm saying lamb maybe but that would have been adorable it's really tiny you know what that would mean a tiny little ornament but of course his lost his head I always lose their heads I would find his head and this lovely perfume bottle stopper it is beautiful very tiny that would have been a very beautiful bottle imagine this weird beehive shaped toggle it only could have been the top could it be the top of one of those you used to get China and metal teapots I think man like not not on top like this might be a knob no no or a toggle or a bead but if anybody knows there were a few bits of pipe amazing letters is Jane Marple it's just a stone but it's so round I know so we're gonna tumble it and just have a really nice like paper weight around stone it's not but it is just a stone and I coin that's nothing left on it it's completely corroded away just a shame and a plaque turn if you ordered weird metal round things the top of a pocket watch Oh white swipes lemonade stopper which is really nice you don't often find them that shape mm-hmm I don't think I've never found one thing we don't know we don't know ever found one there was this lid that Kate found and it was made of stone this isn't bakelite this is stunned mad I don't know what I thought was like the end of a footballer or something but they usually like Stoppers they usually have like a bit of gold and rubber in it so I don't know again if anybody knows it's very hard sort of mottled stone this little bottle that we dug up film doesn't have his end but it's very small it's very cute little imagine sheer top thank the bottle and the other little bottle we found at the same time how to crack it that's about it really I'll bet Victorian flooring again I'll write that to my flooring pile we've miscellaneous stooped bits of glass and there's this which is either the end of a very very tiny key a screw from a sardine tin or a watch wider outside than one of those whichever one you think comment below and see what's just tell me which one you think it is it is hollow but it's full of stuff so it could be a watch my note or could be the top of tiny key or it could be as I say sardine opener it's one of those it's random thin with which one now it looks like feathers yeah it could be the crest of a bird miscellaneous lumps another arm which I'm going to you I say I'm going to but one day I would quite like to make a like I say this but one day I am going to make a mosaic and I'm going to use bits like this in the middle but circular crests of things with jewels and things we found and it's gonna be amazing but it might take a few years for me to get over how to treat it I've got it in my head I will I will anyway that was it not quite as successful as a fall short chip but it's just quite nice to go there sometimes because it's quiet and it's peaceful and we drank soup and it was fun and we have made it to 2,000 subscribers which is amazing never did we think in a million years that we would get to 2,000 subscribers and we want to thank
