evening to you and praise the lord thank you for joining us this night we bless the lord for this opportunity um we bless the lord also for the amazing things that he's doing in our midst and also through us um i was out in mumbasa for a mission and we saw the hand of the lord you know many salvation in feeling and just empowering the body of christ and that's why yesterday we couldn't make it but we are here today so welcome for the bible study this is also a week of prayer the seasons of harvest let's begin with the word of prayer father in the name of jesus we thank you we bless you and we honor you lord i thank you for this opportunity event to be here even to run this program oh god and even to continue with the bible study thank you for the hunger that you have instilled upon your people and thank you lord for the grace to even continue doing this and i know that lives are being changed destinies are being transformed thank you for the many testimonies and the many people that you are changing our father through the reading the prayers and everything that is happening under this particular vision may you receive all the glory even as we journey today in the book of exodus may you reveal details unto us and above all oh god let us understand the truth and the realities of these scriptures and it is in jesus mighty name that we do pray and believe so thank you and welcome and so we are now past the ten plagues um the children uh the passover has already taken place they've crossed the red sea and now uh the journey in the wilderness begins and so uh once they saw the red sea cross and they saw the armies of the enemy covered a song which is called the song of moses also accompanied by miriam a song is bathed out and this was after the miracle so this is the first song we are meeting in the bible according to what we call uh the law of first mention we are we we never saw any song written in genesis so this is the first song that we are coming through and um this is a song um that has different parts to it and we're going to look at it first and then after that we'll check on the other section of the scripture but a bigger portion of this song is um is of course on is about the song it is divided into three portions and and we are going to look at the three portions um and then we will just analyze the details the words and then possibly go on then moses and the children of israel sang this song to the lord and spoke saying i will sing to the lord for he has triumphed gloriously the horse and its rider he has thrown into the sea the lord is my strength and soul and he has become my salvation he is my god and i will praise him my father's god and i will exalt him the lord is a man of war the lord is his name pharaoh's chariot and his army he has cast into the sea his chosen captains also are drowned in the red sea the devs have covered them they sang to the bottom like a stone your right hand o lord has become glorious in power your right hand o lord has dashed the enemy in pieces and in the greatness of your excellence you have overthrown those who rose against you you send for the wrath it consumed them like stubble and with the blast of your nostril the waters were gathered together the floods stood upright like a hip the dead congee the dead congealed in the hearts of the sea the enemy said i will pursue all overtake i will divide the spoil my desire shall be satisfied on them i will draw my sword my hand shall destroy them you blew with your wing the sea covered them they sunk like lead in the mighty waters who is like your lord among the gods who is like you glorious in holiness fearful in praise doing wonders you stretch out your right hand the ads swallowed it you in your mercy have led for the people whom you have redeemed you have guided them in your strength to your holy habitation the people will hear and be afraid sorrow will take hold of the inhabitants of philistia then the chiefs of adam will be dismayed the mighty men of moab trembling will take hold of them all the inhabitants of canaan will met away fear and dread will fall on them by the greatness of your arm there will be a steal a stone till your people pass over oh lord till the people pass over whom you have purchased you will bring them in and plant them in the mountain of your inheritance in the place o lord which you have made for your own dwelling the sanctuary o lord which your hands have established the lord shall reign forever and ever for the horse of pharaoh went with his chariots and his horsemen into the sea and the lord brought back the waters of the sea upon them but the children of israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea the song of miriam then miriam the prophetess the sister of aaron took their timbrel in her hand and all the women went out after her with timbrels with dance and miriam answered them saying to the lord for he has triumphed gloriously the horse and its rider he has thrown into the sea so when i look at this song it has two dimensions the first dimension of the song is that it's a praise song and the second dimension is that this song is it it's also a prophetic worship so there are two things that come out of this song there is praise and then there is prophecy why am i saying it's a pray song the difference between worship and praise is not in the speed of the song i know we come from the backgrounds whereby uh the worshiper will sing the slow songs and then we will transition you know and uh there's always that transition sasan wakatua comes and there's a lot of noise and there's a lot of dancing and a lot of jubilation and then there's a time to worship the lord and it is it looks like this calmness and the coolness and the melody and then you know the slowness of the music is what we call worship and and the first music is called praise but this is not the reality the reality to distinguish between worship and praise it comes on or it comes in the content and what the song says a praise song is a song that talks about what god has already done a worship song is a song that talks about who god is so worship tells you of who god is praise communicates what god has done this has to be well understood so that's how you categorize a song that's why we must go to content not to speed and peace because worship is when we tell him who he is irrespective of what is happening because god does not change and praise is when we tell god what he has done a good example um uh a song like amethyst it's a prey song though most of the times we do it in a small slow pace why it says majabo and the mystery is a song like banana mages that song is a worship song because it talks about the exaltation of the lord of hosts he's the lord of hosts so ideally we can see out of our our presentation of what praise is and what worship is we begin to see now the discrepancy and you know different people argued out and said um of course this song talks about the goodness it's after the revelation of god now they began to sing many times it takes a man in the spirit and in faith to worship the bible says the hour cometh and now is the hour when true worshipers will worship the father that's a language of relationship in truth revelation and spirit the inner man because worship needs the truth the unchanging truth of who god is he's a good god he's a faithful god he's a merciful god he's a sovereign god even when you feel like your enemies are overpowering you he's still good in my terms of reign and that's why that's why worship needs truth that can bad faith but praise needs actions that can bad side evidence so that we can sing that's why the bible says let everything that has breath praise the lord you just need breath if you can breathe you can see but you need the spirit and truth for you to to to worship of course there are around seven dimensions of praise uh when you go to them to the greek one i mean to the hebrew word uh but um uh this is this has to be left at that so for me this is the first prey song that carries a prophetic dimension um it it begins as a praise but shifts into some level of prophecy and in that prophetic direction it takes some element of worship so from chapter number from verse one to verse five the song is divided into four it describes the lord as a man of war versus one two verse five um you know uh i will sing to the lord for he has transferred gloriously the horse and its raider he has thrown into the sea the lord is my strength and song and has become my salvation he is my god and i'll praise him you see it's a praise my father's god and i will exalt him the lord is a man of war the lord is his name that name is yahweh when i was in mombasa one theologian told me something very powerful and and he told me well they were interpreting the bible from uh from from from from from hebrew into you know greek and english they say it took a lot of time because any time the interpreters of the bible came across the name the lord which is yahweh they will wash their hands and then write their name yahweh and then wash their hands again so it took a lot of time for them to interpret because that name was considered to be very holy so the lord is a man of war the lord is his name pharaoh chariots and his army has cast um into them into the sea so we begin to see that um he his d he's noticing who god is and if god be a man of war then salvation automatically is necessary and if god be a man of war then he becomes the very pillar of our strength because does not have a history of losing any battle get that you see moses had seen him in the ten plagues now this was something new they saw him also and so he's now declaring who he is the lord is my strength and son and he has become my salvation he is my god and i will praise him his my song is my salvation the other thing we begin to get is that when david writes and says that um seeing a new song sing a new song unto the lord what does david mean it doesn't mean that you go uh compose a new sound it automatically means when there is a change of season there is a change of sound when there is a change of season there is a change of sound that's why the bible will talk about the lord will put a new song into your mouth it automatically means that the lord is ushering you into a new season and in that season there will be new declarations and new utterances so that is the first part of the song um and then the second stanza or the second part is from six to ten it talks it is about how god overthrew the enemies of israel how god overthrew the enemies of israel you are right hand oh lord has become glorious in power your right hand oh god has dashed the enemy in pieces why do we use the right hand of god it doesn't mean that when you enter heaven there's a place called the right hand it is what we call anthropomorphism where we give god human character so that man can be able to understand god and so and the right hand is always considered to be the the place of power the place of rulership the place of strength so that's what they're talking about your right hand oh lord has dashed the enemy in pieces and in the greatness of your excellence you have overthrown those who rose against you you send forth your wrath it consumed them like stable and with the blast of your nose trill the waters were gathered together we know it took the presence of the east wind to drive the waters away so that the children of israel can walk on dry land um the floods stood upright like a hip the depth concealed in the heart of the sea the enemy said i'll pursue an overtake i will divide the spoil my desire shall be satisfied on them i'll draw my sword uh you blew with your wind the sea covered them they sunk like leading the mighty waters these of course using um you using using a very poetic language because the lead does not float it's a very heavy metal so leads things automatically just to show we can also see the intention the pride of pharaoh and the armies um the way they are trying to pursue them and the lord took charge of that particular battle and this is a song just to commemorate what the lord did when they were crossing the red sea and then the that stanza is is is the glorification of who god is is the glorification of who god is and for me this is where what she begins so they began with the praise and now they begin to acknowledge who god is but this acknowledgement of who he is is because of the truth of their encounters so they're not just declaring moses is not just writing words he's writing that which has already encountered and worship is as powerful as your depth there is no deep worship you just have a deep person showing up in worship so your depth in god can make a very simple song to sound very deep but your shallowness in god will make that song just look like mere english and that's why worship is very personal it takes some form of maturity this is where now we draw a line between uh committed christians serious christians and jokers you just know them when worship comes because you you don't worship in the flesh it takes the spirit to connect with god all the challenges of manner in the flesh and in the soul the fears of the world so if you can journey beyond this the flesh beyond the emotions the temperaments of life beyond what you feel and enter in the spirit and worship him for who he is then it's a sign of maturity and many people are comfortable in praise but i tell you worship worship is what begins to reveal the maturity of the people and we see citation of very powerful words who is like you oh lord among the gods this is moses we said egypt had more than 23 gods uh it's only that we couldn't go through each and every of them we just went through the plagues moses saw the lord judge the gods of egypt so he has the revelation that there is no other god other than yahweh god because there is no god of egypt that prevailed over god over the lord and so he's saying who is like you o lord among the gods all the other gods which are the creation of men and all the other gods which are the expressions of the fallen entities because behind this creation of men is just a worship of these fallen angels the principalities all of them are under they are just creatures created by the sovereign lord who is like you glorious in holiness holiness simply means perfect justice and perfect righteousness perfect justice and righteousness so moses encountered this dimension of god you remember when moses was almost killed by the lord because of circumcision he didn't have any dealing with the covenants of abraham and so at that time he understood the holy standard the justice and the righteous standard of the lord fearful in praise doing wonders this is you you stretch out your right hand the other swallowed them you in your mercy have led forth the people whom you have redeemed you have guided them in your strength to your holy habitation this is the first time we also i believe encounter the word redeem that name is to purchase it's a marketplace language you have bought them out from the hand of the oppressor with your own money these are now your people you have redeemed them you have judged the gods of egypt and you have purchased israel um you have purchased israel so this is this for me is a dimension of worship remember we are looking there are four stanzas here uh the first one is the lord is introduced as a man of war in the second stanza we begin to see the lord who overthrows the enemies of israel the third stanza is a dimension of worship you know exalting and magnifying and then the fourth one is where the prophecy is uh the prophetic stanza 14 to 18 uh this is now where we begin to deal with the prophetic side uh the people will hear and be afraid sorrow will take hold of the inhabitants of philistia then the chief of the dorm will be dismayed the mighty men of moab um a trembling will take hold of them all the inhabitants of canaan will melt away and this one was fulfilled when they entered into jericho and they found the prostitute by the name of rahab this prostitute began to say we have a heart how your god has done great things this is in joshua chapter number two verse 10 it says for we have heard how the lord dried up the water of the red sea for you when you came out of egypt the people of canaan did hear of what god did for israel and some responded with godly fear so this automatically took place we see it was it was the reality it happened um that the the dealings of god went ahead you need to understand that egypt was a superpower this was not just a small city this was a superpower it's like kenya defeating america and then russia hears that we are going in that direction and china they're here there's like a small nation that has brought down a superpower and they're coming in our direction and that's why like the king of the moab realized he could not fight them he could not fight them so what happened he hired balaam we'll see that in the book of numbers the king of moab hired balaam to come and them and he fought them spiritually when they were going through the land of the philistines will even see the past in territories and people were terrified that the terror of the lord just came upon the people and they told them you can pass and the deal was very simple as israel was passing in these areas they requested for place to pass and said whatever our animal eats we shall pay their territories that contended and god fought for them but they are those who also accepted to allow them to pass through so a moab is mentioned here it happened um sorrow will take hold of the inhabitant of philistia the the chiefs of edom will be dismayed edom was the root of esau and it became a nation and they were considered not to have helped the children of israel in many ways so they were an enemy trembling will take hold of them the mighty men of moab trembling will take all of them it came to pass the inhabitant of canaan will melt away fear and dread will fall on them that's exactly what happened they surrounded the city the walls came down the testimony of rachel i mean of rahab the testimony of rehab is a sure sign of the fulfillment of this prophetic praise there will be still as a stone ah okay fear and dread will fall on them by the greatness of your arm there will be as still as a stone till your people pass over all or till the people pass over whom you have protest again that is redeemed you'll bring them in and plant them in the mountains of the inheritance in the place of lord which you have made for your own dwelling this is moses he has seen the temple in jerusalem before it's even established so there are few things that moses decoded in the spirit while he was writing the sanctuary oh lord which your hands have established the lord shall reign forever and ever and i can tell you this sanctuary uh is a prophecy of the church it's not the temple because the church uh the chief cornerstone was jesus laid on the very foundations and the foundation of course was what was jesus again he said upon this rock me i will build my church and he became the chief cornerstone so for me the sanctuary oh lord which your hands have established the lord shall reign forever and ever this is the church this is the new jerusalem this is the dwelling place there's a lot of prophetic here not just for now but even in the future because in the coming new jerusalem the lord will inhabit with his people forever and ever and that is the essence of prophetic worship um i remember there was a time i i met with esta wahome and and she did a song uh a song before the post-election violence uh in 2007. she did a song that was very powerful and and she said the lord instructed her to sing that song prophetically and she was celebrating the different tribes of kenya and celebrating the world of kenya and the political violence that came was so divisive and very tribal so meaning that she released a prophetic sound though war came as sounded already been released prophetically it was a prophetic worship or a prophetic praise very few that there is a dimension where people enter into the prophetic dimension of sound um yeah oh jesus you you must be very much in tune with the holy ghost to download the frequency of that prophetic dimension it takes not just maturity but it takes a heart that can partner with the holy spirit and there are many sounds sometimes released prophetically and that's why sometimes you tell even a musician um like when i used to do music i used to rap and i discovered my my music was more on on alignment then later i discovered i am i'm a little bit apostolic so meaning that even the fivefold can manifest in your sound you can do music that is evangelistic in nature it's about soul winning you can do music that is pastoral in nature you know it's about confronting and encouraging the people you can do music that teaches like i was listening to a song done in um what is it done in tanzania and the guy sings a whole chapter about elijah and the fire and you listen to that song is like a preaching and and i say this guy has a teaching grace in his music and i see tanzania lord picking scriptures and expounding them you can also do music that is very prophetic that you release a sound and that sound carries prophetic donations so even for those who are listening maybe you're a musician it's not just waking up and writing lyrics locate yourself in the five-fold where do you fall do you feel you're more apostolic to think evangelistic and the anointing just flows naturally you don't force it you don't force it but the moment you understand it's more powerful that's why when i began music i used to call myself mr t aka the team disciple aka the apostle and that's why now they began to call me apostoli uh but but it was just my musical kind of language uh those days anyway um so so we see that this was a prophecy released and then we introduced to a very important character by the name of miriam we will meet her later now miriam they say she was the sister of aaron of course aaron was the brother of moses so this must be a sister to moses uh this must be the sister that watched over moses when the daughters of pharaoh came to pick moses in the river and we discover that miriam was a prophetess what a home that um the brother ends up becoming a priest moses ends up becoming a prophetic leader an intercessor and the sister is a prophetess and she be she took the timbrel in her hand and all the women went out after her with timbrel with dances and miriam answered them saying to the lord for yes triumph gloriously the horse and this rider he has thrown into the sin this was a time of jubilation and a time of celebration and a time of acknowledging god and prophesying through songs and worshiping exalting the lord um of course we'll meet miriam later as she became a stumbling block in a certain place and opposed the ministry of um moses but we see god dealing with her that is in numbers 12 but let's continue so so triumph successful what an amazing story the song is there divided into four talking about god as a man of war talking about the defeat of the enemies of god and also looking at who god is in terms of exaltation and worship and the final stanza talks about it's a prophetic proclamation so this is the summary of that song the summary of that song and then now we come to and then i will come to to the other one this uh um the other part of the scripture which is bitter water made sweet so moses brought the israel from the red sea then they went out into the wilderness of shur and they went three days in the wilderness and found no water now when they came to mara they could not drink the water of mara for they were bitter therefore the name of it was called mara and the people complained against moses saying what shall we drink so he cried out to the lord and the lord showed him a tree when he cast it into the water the waters were made sweet there he made a statue and an ordinance for them there he tested them and said if you diligently heed the voice of the lord your god and do what is right in his sight give ear to his commandments and keep all his statues i will put none of the diseases on you which i've brought on the egyptian for i am the lord who heals you that means jehovah rapha then they came to elim where there were 12 wells of water and 70 pounds tree so they camped there by the waters one of the things as i was reading this it was very clear these guys have just taken a three-day journey and i want to believe prophetically these stories here just remind us something they have just composed a very powerful praise song telling god who he is and for me just reminds me how quickly we forget about god they're here chapter 15 you know talking about they've just seen the red sea open they've seen the plagues they've seen wonders and then they walk three days no water they walk for three days and they say naturally you can survive for three days in a desert that's the maximum time you can survive in a desert without water and um and they went out into the wilderness and they went three days in the wilderness and found no water now when they came to mara they could not drink the water of mara for they were bitter now for me this statement has dual levels of interpretation so they come to mara and that name mara means bitter and they say is the water was bitter but also on the other side the people are bitter now you can see the temperament of the children of israel they have no problem following god as long as there are no challenges and when they are confronted with challenges complain is there fasting there are few things here that can be analyzed number one sorry number one sorry they overstayed in egypt for 30 years that could have been the source of their bitterness so even though they were delivered from egypt their hearts were not healed and sometimes no matter how good you become to a person whose heart is not healed a small trigger will stir them up they were bitter and the first waters they met it was a reflection of their heart that name mara means bitter the waters were bitter the people were bitter and i want to believe that the lord led them to a pool of water that reflected their inner pool they were bitter and you know it's like as they are moving with god and they see the miracles they are happy but a small challenge complained did you take us out of egypt to kill us egypt was stealing them their slavery time raised them and made them a better people and there is nothing as hard as dealing with a better person a husband a wife an employer an employee bitterness that's a time bomb you can blow any time what a very small issue and it blows and moses was given a technology of healing the waters now there are two things here again we learn moses saw the power of his road in pharaoh he saw the power of the road he saw the power of the road in dissecting the water but this time the lord leads him to another formula what does that tell me god does not use one option and that's why as we are working with god we need to open our eyes and open our ears because he might not move the way he moved in egypt is not the way he's going to move next tomorrow and he tells moses collect some stick put them in the water the prophetic picture of this is just to show that the healing of nations will be through a stick in calvary the healing of nations will be through a stick or sticks in calvary last week was sharing about the jesus manifesto and one of the things jesus came to do was to deal with the brokenhearted there is a level of bitterness that counseling cannot sort it just take the intervention of the cross to delete burdens bitterness vengeance and all these things so first of all we come to a community that forgets quickly the things of god and i tell you i look at these people i i just read and i'm like could i have been different if i was among the people sometimes we read and you're like these people are complaining they've just seen the miracle how many miracles have you seen in your life and you still complain and you reach a place and feel like god will i still make it you see it is the same terrain same god different generations i want to assure you if you are among these people maybe you'll get your leader or give lisa moses and that just reveals who man is god knows us so the lord um therefore the name of it was called mara and the people complained against moses saying what shall we drink so he cried out to the lord and the lord showed him a tree when he cast it into the waters the waters were made sweet it was not trees it was a specific there is only one place healing of bitterness can take place there is another tree it's the cross they are not trees it's just a tree and he raised the statue and an ordinance for them and there he tested them so this was a test and said now remember god will test but the devil will tempt a test is for promotion a temptation is for demotion but temptations also reveal points of weakness that's why jesus was tempted and there was no weakness and after that he could walk in the power of the holy ghost so temptations reveal points of weakness and the devil sometimes just come to reveal that and we take it seriously and deal with every point of weakness so he tested them and said if you diligently hit the voice of the lord your god now what was the lord calling them to a place of obedience he's giving a question hey can you stop murmuring just diligently follow and obey my voice and give ear to his commandments and all his statues those are laws i will put none of the diseases of there i will put none of the diseases on you which i have brought on the egyptian for i am the lord who healeth you so when we begin to study the concept of divine health one of the concepts of diseases finding expression in the life of a person is sin sin lifestyle because there are diseases that come to you but behind that disease is a demon one day some people went for prayers and they found a young boy who was diagnosed with tb and as they were praying word of knowledge came the doctor said it's tb the young boy was under medication the preacher get in and as they are praying the lord tells him the boy is not sick the parents have not been in agreement and because of that there is a breach of the priestly so once the parents reconcile that door that was open would be shot and the pastor stopped the prayers and said you two make peace and this one will be healed and he left see and and he revealed a name here he said i am jehovah rapha the lord that he led thee now for me something powerful comes out of this that it takes challenges to see god the power of god is not revealed in comfort the power of god is revealed in travail and challenges let me show you the next scripture so that you get it then they came to a limb where there were 12 wells of water and 70 palms trees so they come to there by the waters so there was mara what did they say in mara they saw wood a tree heal the water that was a miracle here the lord comes and tests them and tell them if you abide by my word i will walk with you and there will be no diseases of egypt upon you so in mara there is miracle but in a limb nothing is mentioned other than clean water and shade because 12 wells and 70 palm trees is a big picture of a place that was well watered and a place of shade and this for me is a place of establishment and most of the times when people enter a limb they no longer see the signs of god and through that also their commitment to god is reduced and through that miracles are also not very evident because it's natural when man enters into comfort you know uh as i as as i was in mumbasa i remember just taking a walk along the beach and looking at the many people around the beach people that have traveled from nations just to come for holiday i was telling myself the lord has blessed people and sometimes the cast of the blessing is breaking relationship i began to ask myself you don't see these people in church the marrying spirit has just gotten in them you know on sunday they're just in the beach some are drinking and then boom someone gets a disease and now that's when they run to church and they want god now now and at that time they are willing to give everything they want to serve in all departments they want to surrender their lives to god three times but when they are in a lean they forget him and it's the nature of man you know even you who is watching me today do you still pray as you used to pray when you're jobless for those who are working can you weigh your commitment before a limb the place of 12 wells and 70 palm trees can you weigh your commitment before and now and say pastor since i got a car i don't miss casuals or since i got a car i've never missed any service because a tool of efficiency came or does it mean since you got a car now every saturday you go for all baby showers all the weddings all the birthdays and on sunday you are very tired and you watch online i'd rather stay in mara and see the waters being healed than stay in a limb and nothing is mentioned not even a new revelation about god but i can't even see jehovah rapha and i'm not saying being established is bad i'm just saying once you enter elim desire to move to the next level because it is your daily walk with god that ushers miracles power and new dimensions of god and that becomes a very important father we thank you and we bless you lord some of us are bitter and very bitter let them walk and the power of the cross lord just minister to them take away that seed of bitterness that has slowed them down and every time they mama they are like time bombs they don't see anything good lord just take away heal their hearts let the balm let the healing anointing be upon them lord some of us um we have entered our early and we lost our vibrancy and we lost our vigor in doing your assignments may you revive the old fire revive the old prayer system standing the word and all that you are sovereign we thank you for this night in jesus name pray amen and amen so thank you very much for everyone that has joined us tonight buster timon is my name we'll be meeting for the midnight prayer this is the first week and this is a very significant month in fact the next three months are very significant to the saints october november and december in fact somebody said all the months that end with september october november december there's something they carry a lot of spiritual significance so we'll be praying it's our season of harvest we'll be praying at the midnight hour one hour from 11 to 12. it's better one hour daily and we'll see miracles and hear what god is going to do so just take some time and then let's gather it's time to offer our sacrifices give our offerings be a blessing i want to say thank you for your giving we are able to grow we are able to do a lot um by today we were able to purchase two base speakers because the money you give once it hijacks quad tuflani we buy and this october we have i think more than seven schools and we will be visiting and majority of them is weak and challenged so these are three days revival so remember we need a lot of gear we need to reach out to our generation they need jesus and nothing else will sort them out they need the tree hallelujah in their bitterness and so remember it's by your giving that we're able to do this so never get tired never get tired we bless the lord for you and we'll give you all the glory and may you never lack the giving details already there seven two six seven one four seven one three and eight to one seventy seventy god bless you amen so my
