found uh are not speaking or acting things that are not light it is those whose heart are clean hearts i want you to just lift up your hand and just prepare your spirit for the lord has never gathered his people in vain and even today there is an expectation that zion prepared before the creation of time and god i shared a few things that he is gonna release into your life on this day the bible says it is by what all things are created i want to believe that when god thought about this day way before we were born he spoke some things that are supposed to align with us on this particular day and men who have aligned themselves are able to receive that which the lord has prepared and i want you to just lift up your hand and just begin to tell the lord father here i am on this day but before you and one of the works that we have been commissioned by christ and he said that of this shall i take with you again on the day when i shall actually turn but do this in my remembrance in remembrance of me and the bible says and he took the bread and in the same manner he also took uh let's go back to 24 and when he had given thank he broke it and said take it this is my body which is broken for you and do this in remembrance of me and i have said and my heart is fully convinced that when the bible speaks about the body of christ and the breaking of the body of christ it tells us the formation and the shaping that allows a man to be conformed into the image of christ that they can be able to ascend before the heavenly realm and when they get to the throne of god through the highway of holiness the same path that christ used in the day of his accession that they represent visible before god as sons but a conformed image of the son of god praise the lord and so every time we speak about the body of christ it is the shape in which we are being formed into praise the lord and so he broke it and gave thanks father we thank you for this blood that is a significance of your body as we partake it o father we look behold the oppressions of life and see as christ saw in hebrews chapter 12 and verses 2 the hope that was raised beyond the cross and the glory said thereof and so therefore father everything that the word speaks about the bread the bread that was broken even to usher us into the holy of holies let it find expression in our lives as we take it in the name of jesus so he he gave thanks and he broke it and he gave them to eat in his remembrance so for those who have already received let us just break it and let us take it expressed in the name of the lord and in the same manner he took the cup father we lift this cup before thee the symbol of thy blood the cleansing of our sins o father and my god and my father as we take it let there be a cleansing big for us hallelujah so i i want to uh we began on a conversation called the days of noah and the discipline of bible exposition is that you don't build a matter before you establish the matter amen what do i mean by that to all the visitors feel at your father's feet and thank you for coming uh to them that are watching online from all over the world welcome on board now the the the matter we began was in the book of matthew chapter number 24 and that is jesus talking about the days of noah it is 24 oh jesus just leave me where i was i was very okay i don't know where you have touched it is matthew 24 matthew 24 beginning from 35 there's something you have touched and i've gone off i or you're coming back okay heaven and eye will pass away but my words will by no means pass away now look at 36 but of that day an hour no one knows not even the angels of heaven but my father only but as the days of noah so also will the coming of the son of man be now you see i began by using that scripture but we picked it from a conversation now the challenge of doing that when you're preaching is that the culture of preaching is you don't just speak a scripture and preach from there but you must lay the background allow me to share this wisdom with you so that anytime you'll be invited anywhere to preach you'll have this culture and you will not preach error this is the culture of bible preaching these are the four things that you must observe the first thing you observe is the literal reading and interpretation of the scripture the literal what does that mean you read it and how you understand it you carried that is the first level it is called the literal the second level is checking on the cultural so you read a scripture like this and you check on the literal meaning days of noah will be the coming of the son of man then you go to the cultural what was the setup of that culture the reason why i'm saying that is because the bible was written in a certain time in a certain culture and to a certain people and so if you don't understand the culture of the day you might pick a scripture and teach error the same way we talk about let women not wear the clothes of men the cult of the day they didn't have trousers so what was the culture what was the communication at that particular time and it is possible to build a doctrine and say the bible says are we together and then now we come to the historical the historical the historical the historical context what was the history there are many prophecies in the bible that have already been fulfilled they were not written to us they were written to a people in a certain time in a certain space historically so you can't lift that prophecy and make it look like this is what god is saying and then there is also the canonical from the word canon now this is where now we begin the preaching the canonical so there is literal cultural historical and canonical and that one will help you to analyze the text before you get the context and the content okay the other time i was in prayer the lord told me stop telling my people i'll teach you when when you're mature he told me teach them now so we are downloading hallelujah now the background of the scripture is in matthew 24. so we are limited and incapacitated to understand that particular scripture if we don't understand matthew 24. so i want to invite you this morning for what i call an exegestical journey towards matthew 24. we'll read the whole chapter and we'll take the whole meat and then i will come to that verse that's how you study the bible are we together so we will not quote one chapter and shout we must know where did it come from what was the background so now let's go to matthew 24 from verse 1 and be ready for this journey it's going to be it's going to be deep and it's going to be it will undo a lot of things you have learned the bible says then jesus went out and departed from the temple and his disciples came up to show him the building of the temple and jesus said to them do you not see all these things as surely i said to you not one stone shall be left here upon another that i shall that shall not be thrown down now as he sat on the mount of olives the disciples came to him privately saying tell us when will these things be and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age and jesus answered and say to them take heed that no one deceives you [Music] for many will come in my name saying i am the christ and will deceive many and you will hear of wars and rumors of war see that you are not troubled for all these things must come to pass but the end is not yet for nation will rise against nation and the kingdom against kingdom and there will be far mines and pestilence and earthquakes in various places all these are the beginning of sorrows then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake and then many will be offended will betray one another and will hate one another then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many and because lawlessness will abound the love of many will grow cold but he who endures to the end shall be saved and this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations and then the end will come therefore when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by daniel the prophet standing in the holy place whoever reads let him understand then let those who are in judea flee to the mountains let who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of the house and let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes but woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days and pray that your flight may not be in the winter or the sabbath for then there will be great tribulation such has not been since the beginning of the world until this time no nor ever shall be and unless those days were shortened no flesh will be saved but for the electric those days will be shortened then if anyone says to you look here is the christ or they i do not believe it for false christ and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive if possible even the elect see i have told you beforehand therefore if they said to you look he is in the desert do not go out or look he is in the inner room do not believe it for as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west so also will the coming of the son of man be for wherever the carcass is there the eagles will be gathered together immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light and the stars will fall from heaven and the powers of the heavens will be shaken then the sign of the son of man will appear in heaven and then all the tribes of the earth will moan and they will see the son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory the scripture has to be well understood because it says the sign of the son of man we will come to there and he will send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet and they will gather together his elect from the four winds from one end of the cavern to the other now land is parable from the fig tree when its branch has already become tender and put for the leaves you know that summer is near so you also when you see all these things know that it is near at the door as surely i said to you this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place let's read that five together heaven and earth will pass away but my words will by no means pass and then now another one but of that day and hour no one knows not even the angels of heaven but my father only i'm going to read the whole chapter so you better bear with me you came to church hallelujah but as the days of noah so also will the coming of the son of man be for as in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking and marrying and giving in marriage until the day that noah entered the ark and did not know until the flood came and took them all away so also will the coming of the son of man be then two men will be in the field the one will be taken and the other one left two women will be grinding at the meal what will be taken on the other one left [Music] watch therefore for you do not know what you are our the lord is coming but notice that if the master of the house had known what our the default come he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into therefore you also be ready for the son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect who then is a faithful and wise servant who is servant made ruler over his household to give them food in due season let's stop there because now that one will open that's that's a a different conversation now let's begin to open up this scripture and please i want to beg you there will be a lot of adjustment from what you have heard popularly and i will take time to lay not my argument but the scripture as it's supposed to be so let's go back to chapter verse 1 and begin to see now remember in bible discipline there are four things we have to look at number one the literal meaning number two there their cultural number three the historical and number for the canonical be together so now they then jesus went out and departed from the temple and his disciples came up to show him the building of the temple the temple was one of the magnificent structures in jewish and roman colony in fact it is considered as one of the seven wonders so we are not talking about a small structure it was a very visible magnificent structure in the roman territory and it was big it was huge that is the first thing the temple was a wonder and it was a magnificent structure you couldn't miss the site of the temple any time you were near jerusalem the same way you come to nairobi and kisses is standing out that's how the temple was and now at this particular time jesus is talking to the disciples and and his and and came up to show him the building of the temple it was a beautiful magnificent structure and we need to understand that these are some of the last or teachings that christ gave before he died now let's go let's look at two so two let's come to two and jesus said to them everybody read do you not see all these things as surely i said to you not one stone shall be left here upon another that shall not be thrown down he was pointing to the temple he was telling them the temple you see not even one stone is going to stand now this was a radical statement because the civilization of israel was under the temple everything that israel did was dictated by the temple their worship their sacrifice their way of life so taking the temple out was ideally killing judaism and killing israelites because the laws that govern the jews came from the temple the worship of the jews was connected to the temple and here is jesus saying you see the stone none of that will stand because i'm about to destroy it this was not a statement to be taken lightly and and the people here to ask what do you mean now when we go to three of these so we begin to see the context is about the conversation of the temple and the destruction of the temple okay but when we come to 24 3 we discover the whole of matthew chapter number 24 is an answer to two questions hallelujah understanding is upon you in jesus name so let's read chapter 3 verse 3 now as he sat on the mount of olives the disciples came to him let it let us hold it there so if you're a good student literal meaning who is the audience talk to me who is the audience so the chapter 24 and chapter 25 was a response to the disciples it was a response to the disciples that's what the bible says as he sat on the mount of olives their disciples came to him privately and these are the questions there are two of them tell us when these things will happen what are these things tell us when the temple will be destroyed the first question was tell us when the temple will be destroyed the second question was and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age now this question is one and i'll tell you why the coming of jesus is automatically the end of the age because they're coming here is in greek called perusia now what does perusia mean because the the problem with english is that english is limited when you talk about coming it is coming and there are two greek words that mean coming and the reason why matthew 24 is not understandable to most of us is because it was interpreted from greek to english and english is limited so we lose a lot of truth in the greek context when it is translated to english so there are two words in the greek language that means coming the first one is perusia and the second one is echo mine now perusia is what we call the advent the physical coming and appearing of the messiah are we together the physical coming the destruction of the temple now when you read that chapter you will record the following things there around 10 things he tells them to watch out for and they're around five things he tells them to saw him resurrected his death was public but his resurrection was private and so it gave room for many people to rise as false messiahs and many came claiming to be somebody and we can dig deep and theology is church history it is around 100 lectures because you are incapacitated to know the bible if you don't know history it was written in a certain time in a certain space in certain dispensation so if you are not conversant with history you will misquote scripture because you don't know when it happened so that time the israelites were under the roman territory and rulership and of course there were few uprisings in the territories of rome there were few uprisings and that's why you you realize the word of wars and rumors of war they were there there was some few uprising are diseases pestilences pestilences number six there will be earthquakes there will be earthquakes for national race against nation kingdom against kingdom and there will be foreign pestilence what you're going through you will go through fire you will go through waters it is a fact maybe right now you're in fire you don't know how to get out it is part of the cup someone said they say if chill until it becomes a part of you amen yes let's go to danielle chapter number nine daniel 9 27 26 and 27 daniel 9 26 and 27 abomination of desolation and after the 62 weeks messiah shall be cut off this is daniel prophesying about the death of jesus he even says messiah i think this is the only time the name messi appears in old testament and the name cut off there is that he will die and he death of jesus so this is what jesus is saying to the disciples you are conversant with this prophecy that when the messiah cometh and the messiah is cut off the temple will be destroyed now anyone that believes matthew 24 is futuristic is a jew because for them the messiah never came so they are waiting for the messiah so that he can be cut off and wait for this and wait for great tribulation jerusalem is surrounded flee because they were first attacked and the temple defiled and before jesus the temple was destroyed jerusalem was surrounded for two years 67 68 then it was destroyed in 70 a.d now that one will make you understand because the next scripture there is when you see jerusalem surrounded in luke that is the time when you needed to flee it was a sign an expectation am i speaking to anyone so if i was in jerusalem and the follower of jesus and i see jerusalem surrounded i knew abomination of desolation the temple is about to be brought down as messiah prophesied and that there has never been such a thing and it will never be now you begin to see how serious god was when they rejected him as the messiah the judgment of the temple you know he said you will see me before the second coming there will be peace now the greatest warning about the second coming it has nothing to do with wars and rumors of war okay let's read so that you can understand but the days your life and death but now choose your life but he cannot make that decision and today these two are standing before the presence of the holy god because the world has come straight to their hearts and their lord they are not standing before a man they are standing before you the bible says when we believe in our hearts oh god and then go farther and fall project it with our mouth because we know you died rose again and resurrected and you're forever seated and you're coming for your holy church lord then a journey of becoming a new man and entering into the dimension of the newness of life begins and today these two are standing on a virgin path and i declare even as they make this prayer i know right now they are being disconnected from anything that is not of you and they are being set free and they are being taken now to the ordinances and the orders of zion i coven unto their lives i cut off they lineate the appetite and the conflict of egypt and i declare by the masses of yahweh let them be accepted in the household of faith and in the family of the godly thank you jesus and so i ask that you just to make this prayer say lord jesus this morning i have heard your word and i know that i'm a sinner in need of a savior i know i cannot save myself and now i accept by faith that jesus you died for me and because of that i receive now the forgiveness of sin i believe in your resurrection and now i receive by faith the resurrection power and i declare with my mouth because i have believed in my heart that jesus you are lord and savior over my life thank you for loving me and from today walk with me hold my hand when you come for the church let me be among the saints father thank you for this harvest jesus receive all the glory it can only be by your masses thank you because he who the son set free is free indeed now i declare the possibilities of a new creation new creation health power authority in jesus mighty name hallelujah church i believe of the very blessing that are attached to every giving but above all god we give you because we love you and we give you lord because all that we have as david said we are just custodians and thank you lord that we are lacking nothing good receive the glory receive the honor in jesus name and now lord i please and i pray for every one of them that came for the first service i declare the coming week is blessed i declare they are going in and coming out is blessed i declare law that they are covered in the highways and the byways they are shielded and protected they are covered oh god by your power and authority and i declare the coming week is a good week we are all functioning in the place of our ordinance the heavens are open and we are dealings with the dealings of zion nothing good can be hindered from us and oh god we receive the blessing we receive the provision we receive the care we receive every good thing that you are releasing from zion and i declare as we walk out of this door even in this season of corona none of us is permitted to be sick divine health shall be your portion no accidents no incidents you shall live to testify the goodness of the lord in the land
