Milwaukee's mayor sees economic benefits of hosting Republican National Convention in Democratic cit

so my hope uh coming out of this is that business sports and entertainment events will choose Milwaukee that's what I want to see come out of this Donald Trump regardless of where it happens is going to be the Republican nominee for president so it doesn't matter if it happened in Milwaukee it doesn't matter if it happened in Mara Lago Donald Trump is going to be there he's going to be a force he's going to be the Republican's nominee for for president and yeah he called Milwaukee a a horrible City it's another just you know crazy Blasphemous thing that came out of Donald Trump's mouth but something that we shouldn't necessarily be surprised I don't espouse to support the Republican Party platform absolutely not and I certainly don't support uh Donald Trump um but I do support Milwaukee I do support creating business and growth opportunities for our city I do support uh having an opportunity for the folks who work in our tourism Hospitality uh industry uh in this city to have a leg up and an opportunity and these are people that are coming here tens of thousands of them from across the country around the world they have to stay somewhere right and these people uh they're not coming home they're coming to visit a place so they'll have to eat right so they may not have booked necessarily and would I've lik to see them book absolutely yes um but the fact the matter is that they still have to eat right and so they will be going out to bars they will be going out to restaurants they will be consuming Goods whether the food or otherwise uh here in the city
