Plain slice of toast, plain tuna, black coffee for lunch? Gross. This is why people say diets don't work. They try something like this for a few days and hate every minute of it and are rewarded with a mere 2 lb loss instead of the 10 promised. It must be so discouraging.

Why is this a military diet? If anything the military is going to encourage you to eat more calories to compensate for all the running around you do. And those MRE's contain about 2000 kcal per meal.
My best friend and her boyfriend did this when I started CICO. My friend texted me she was starving and quit after a few hours. I asked her a couple times if she wanted to do CICO with me since she's always telling me how miserable she was at her current weight but she said it was too much work. Well, fast forward two months and I'm 25 lbs down and she's stagnant, still telling me how miserable she is. I can't make her listen to me and do CICO but I wish I could, I hate seeing her sad.
I mean, I suppose you could lose 10 lbs in 3 days if you weigh 750 lbs...
This is why FAs say dieting is torture. No one would be happy eating this. It looks like something the superskinny on Supersize vs. Superskinny would eat, and even those people seemed miserable about what they were eating. This is setting people up for failure in more ways than one.
What I don't understand is that I person I knew in the military posted this on their Facebook. You KNOW it's not a "military diet" why are you posting this??
My sedentary TDEE is 1758. If I don't eat for 3 days (and this diet does have you eat stuff), I would lose 1.5 lbs. Anything more would be instantly regained through water and poop and stuff once you return to eating normally.
As an actively serving member, I was under the impression the military diet consisted of alcohol, cigarettes and energy drinks.
