Met Gala 2019 Fashion Review

[Applause] [Music] [Applause] see picture me I was gonna get mad but then I realize we're on the red carpet it comes with the territory come to the territory of being the absolute biggest fashionistas that this world has ever seen and being that we have to we have to do it to him well we have to critique one of the biggest fashion events on the planet mm-hmm and that is the Met Gala Met Gala known for extraordinary extravagant outfits now and for Ionis tea I just have no idea every year we might go has a theme oh yes and what is it this year the theme is camp what the theme is yeah like summer camp well that's what I thought initially but apparently no okay I really thought everyone's gonna be dressed up as like Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts yeah or a tent uh-huh or a sleeping bag yeah like a Laura like a campfire we're like a s'more like a big marshmallow [Laughter] but unfortunately that wasn't it camp apparently let me I mean I the screenshot it's only today that explained its miss of it picture of me sleeping anyway for everyone wondering what camp is at the Met Gala theme it's a nod to Susan Sontag essay notes on camp and is essentially the love of the unnatural of artifact and exaggeration so think over-the-top gaudy extreme and playful cool okay yeah makes total sense to me that was actually that was my second guess yeah all right so kicking it off Met Gala style gentleman a Jenelle monster II know she looks like a [ __ ] Picasso paintings that was this supposed to that has to be the inspiration I'm pretty sure that was okay I mean it has to be dad you know what I actually really think this is dope I know baby you know what they say what they say Janelle Monae really has an eye for fashion no they say an eye for an eye makes the whole world okay mine was actually I like her hat looks an Animorph it does yeah I wrote an Animorph yeah yeah it's just morphing into a bigger hat looks like someone tossed the Hat and it's like an action shot of hit like landing on her head Tracee Ellis Ross oh I see what she did here I don't you don't get it I can't I just you don't see what you did what rhymes with schmick sirs name all right on three one two three picture frame I think this is to be honest I think it's a little bit on the nose like she looks like one of those dudes that dresses up like a YouTube video for Halloween or like a tinder profile you would say like dude yeah hot guy you know yeah five you know not that I've thought about it you just you can't just put a black dress on and stop it Michael's before you get to the Met Gala and like just call it a look you know good uh-oh early on the queen of the ball you know what I I don't I don't mind it I don't mind it either I want to mind it I'm not gonna lie it kind of looks like the tomb raider came and dressed up for an event it yeah it looks like cool she doesn't look bad yeah she's pretty badass honestly Kacey Musgraves she's just she's legally blonde that's what it is she just looks like Elle Woods it's like what this is like people were like this is my favorite look at the evening and it's like she really just looks like anyone ever in LA Tessa Thompson she came from the [ __ ] Kentucky Derby she's in with her hair weapon awards gala uh here she is Lady Gaga started out in what looks to be a big pink tent and then walked a little bit I guess and took off the pink thing to reveal this dress right and then walks a little bit more took off black dress and then choosing this like sexy hot pink dress and then walked a little bit more and just took it all off so she like just kind of like an onion just unraveled yes she onions the pink carpet she dressed as a red onion like everyone thought it was high-fashion I was just dressed up as my favorite veggie she goes from parachuting into the vet to be in like a royal Queen yeah then she does the Jessica Rabbit look huh and then just just takes it all off yeah and this one the third panels he looks like Kacey Musgraves party animals sister and she's like her older sister that's like still going to college parties actually comes home looking like the fourth panel yeah I gotta be honest I do like the four outfits and one yeah I think that's a really cool idea I think she I think she should have taken it even further like like a magician that keeps taking up a hanger like ten porn stress and you're like what the holy [ __ ] dresses yeah Met Gala is going on inside and she's just taking off dresses Billy Porter making an entrance I absolutely love this yeah this is this is a pretty [ __ ] crazy entrance like other people have purses for example or other type of accessories he is six people and a throne yeah and a throne which is pretty pretty crazy it's pretty bold yeah he like did it right this is a Power Move yeah oh my god this is him when he gets off just off the throne then he has wings that's pretty crazy that's amazing yeah he looks like he looks like the final boss of the Victoria's Secret Show Katy Perry this is so stupid it's so dumb we thought that the frame the frame over the face was like a cop-out like this is a cop-out like what what why you're gonna be just a chandelier your scalp you're just gonna be a chandelier it's supposed to be funny cause like when I see it I'm like oh she's like she's trying to get a little humor out of it but then that face I don't mean oh she's taking this very serious she's like trying to look all hot exactly that all right Kim Kardashian so I heard her describe her look and the her designer wanted her to look like a California girl who just got out of the ocean and she honestly does she looks cool I think what if she had someone just pouring water on her constantly it's like splashing on the cameras everyone's slipping down the carpet baby oil [Laughter] it just becomes one giant slip and slide now that would be a met gal yeah Gigi Hadid oh my god Giggy hadded here she looks like a special agent from 2065 I honestly I can't wrap my head around this yeah I don't know I watched an interview and I know like what she was going for but like what was it it was like if Elton John David Bowie Liberace and like one other person like that all had dinner at Daisy Buchanan's house that's what it would look like I think it looks more like they all had an orgy with the snowman from frozen bird it looks like they were like what's your inspiration she was like chalk cardi B she looks like a turkey she does Cara Delevingne we got Cara Delevingne G like somehow she still looks good I know I I don't I don't mind it I think so this [ __ ] stupid hat what is that the elf it was fine and they're like alright let's just throw a bunch of trash on her head she's somehow some good yeah she the legs look fantastic fantastic yeah you could say it all you want her so gonna agree with you okay yeah fantastic Elle Fanning um it kind of looks like she's going to Woodstock and Coachella Lupita Nyong'o this is wild it's kind of dope it's pretty cool yes she looks like in like a like an acid trip ferry oh my god she does that too Elle that's what else Fanning is gonna see you and she's frolicking around Celine Dion Oh Celine oh listen I know us Canadians or norm very nice but I gotta say this looks [ __ ] horrendous oh my god what is that why is it why does she have amp but she looks like an insect like an insect that you would see me yeah she looks like a moth he looks like a moth she looks like she probably like all the flashing lights from the cameras she just like started moving towards them they're like sweetly what are you and she's like that's [ __ ] crazy I don't know where to look isn't it crazy yeah I was wrong this this looks like the insect Celine Dion was like make me look like an insect and then she's not having to like this is what I was talking about you guys seven eyes not not this is me Cinderella this is what the Met Gala is just bougie Halloween Emily Ratajkowski ratted out ski how do you say it it's Emily ratatouille yeah I mean if you can you might as well you know that's all I have to say about that I bet you probably towards the end of the night people were like oh my god I didn't even notice your wings holy [ __ ] mrs. Bieber she she looks so good Jennifer Lopez I didn't think it was possible for her to look bad but she's proving me wrong she looks pretty good though this sparkling wig is just a little bit over the top they cut off the slit okay and then they just had it left over and she was like throwing my head throw it on my head yeah yeah and they're like no it's not gonna talk on my head just walk down there like god dammit like that's what my hair looks like after I get get it wet like it's just all just strands hanging there you know what actually they do that was just kind of a bad picture she looks pretty good from this great from this angle I don't even see the hair thing go any staff I feel like she was like oh [ __ ] I just got like a last-minute invite and definitely just had that oh yeah I just want to say yeah that's enough that's real chinchilla for sure she brings it she's like yeah this is polar bear just keep it oh that's the same girl alright yo John Jonas here they've been in a year 3000 yeah they do and they come back and they're like this is what fashion looks like yes oh it is yeah I was waiting for you to like okay guys that was us reviewing the Met Gala fashion we probably could have looked for like another three hours and all of these absurd outfits but didn't at the time another time we have a lot of the office to watch I hope you guys enjoyed this we are well aware that these are all well styled celebrities who have a lot more money than us and are way more successful than us but you know what it's kind of fun to just to just laugh at it yeah okay don't take it too seriously and with that being said thank you mm-hmm see you next time mm-hmm keep up the good work I love you please
