all right today in prep for the 2023 CrossFit Games I'm gonna take on the Rogue 1 000 pound challenge I saw them post this online recently you have basically one hour to complete a one rep max bench press back squat and deadlift there are three tiers there's a 750 total a thousand pound total or a 1250 plus total I'm gonna be going for that top tier 1250 plus I think I can pull it off but instead of doing it in a one hour window I'm gonna take five minutes to find a Max at each lift back to back to back so 15 minutes total I'm hoping that I can hit at least 300 pounds on the bench at least 440 on the back squat and at least 500 on the deadlift if I do that that'll add up to that 1250 roughly if I buy myself a little wiggle room on the first two I can adjust on the flywheel see my Maxes on all of these lifts are 305 bench press a 465 back squat and a 540 deadlift let's see how it goes ready Rock and Roll come on let's go the other one opening bed 275. [Music] [Music] all right 295 come on come on come on come on come on count it two more and yet [Music] come on no you got it I tried [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so I just hit 455 pretty easily on the back squat my best ever is for 65. I'm gonna try for 475 if I make it amazing and I'll drop the bar if I miss I needed to get the bar to the ground for the deadlift anyway so here goes everything [Applause] [Music] all right nice I like that now I definitely I don't have much time to spare but so far 475 plus 295 is 770 1250 minus 770 is 480. that's 475. I'll put 485 to get my stuff to 1250 and then where we go from there [Music] [Music] if I want to get to 1300 I need what 35 more pounds [Applause] 15 seconds to spare solid day what's that total 295 bench plus 475 back squat 10 pound PR plus 525 deadlift 12.95 total we want to count the two and a half that fell off you can and we made it to 1300. I'm pretty satisfied hard to be upset with the pr would have liked to have benched more body feels healthy is probably the best part it's risky to like push your Maxes go for a heavy heavy deadlift or a heavy heavy back squat not too far out from the games that was like the main concern in the back of my mind so huge win healthy happy couple PR's feeling strong ready for the games thank you for the challenge Rogue let's see what you guys got
