[Music] god [Music] once we [Music] oh [Music] in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit the lord be with you welcome to this celebration of the eucharist on behalf of frg ministry i thank you for praying with us for joining us in this time of prayer today jesus talks to us about the fact that we are sinners that we are in need of god's mercy and we need to fight we need to be warriors we need to keep going until we achieve the breakthrough that christ has won for us i'll explain this throughout the mass i'm going to offer this mass for your intentions for those of you who have submitted your prayer requests through our website and you can check the link here if you'd like to leave some more requests i offer the mass every sunday for these requests in particular and those on social media we're blessed to be able to celebrate this mass for you because of our ministry partners check out aftermath our ministry partners and see how we can offer you ask god to impact our hearts to give us a fighting spirit for holiness to be his saints lord you call us to life in abundance lord have mercy you forgive all our sins christ have mercy and lord you ask us to be signs of holiness in this world lord have mercy and may almighty god have mercy on us forgive us our sins and bring us to everlasting life glory to god in the highest and on earth peace to people of good will we praise you we bless you we adore you we glorify you we give you thanks for your great glory lord god heavenly king o god almighty father lord jesus christ only begotten son lord god lamb of god a son of the father you take away the sins of the world have mercy on us you take away the sins of the world receive our prayer you are seated at the right hand of the father have mercy on us for you alone are the holy one you alone are the lord you alone are the most high jesus christ with the holy spirit in the glory of god the father amen and let us pray keep your family safe o lord with unfailing care that relying solely on the hope of heavenly grace they may be defended always by your protection through our lord jesus christ your son who lives and reigns with you in unity of the holy spirit one god forever and ever amen the first reading is taken from the book of isaiah in the year of king uzziah's death i saw the lord of hosts seated on a high throne his train filled the sanctuary above him stood serifs each one with six wings and they cried out to one another in this way holy holy holy is the lord of hosts his glory fills the whole earth the foundations of the threshold shook with the voice of the one who cried out and the temple was filled with smoke i said what a wretched state i am in i am lost for i am a man of unclean lips and i live among a people of unclean lips and my eyes have looked at the king the lord of hosts then one of the sarahs flew to me holding in his hand a live coal which he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs with this he touched my mouth and said see now this has touched your lips your sin is taken away your iniquity is purged then i heard the voice of the lord saying whom shall i send who will be our messenger i answered here i am send me the word of the lord thanks be to god the response is in the sight of the angels i will sing your praises lord in the sight of the angels i will sing your praises lord i thank you lord with all my heart you have heard the words of my mouth in the presence of the angels i will bless you i will adore before your holy temple response in the sight of the angels i will sing your praises lord i thank you for your faithfulness and love which excel all we ever knew of you on the day i called you answered you increased the strength of my soul response in the sight of the angels i will sing your praises lord all the earth's kings shall thank you when they hear the words of your mouth they shall sing of the lord's ways how great is the glory of the lord response in the sight of the angels i will sing your praises lord you stretch out your hand and save me your hand will do all things for me your love o lord is eternal discard not the work of your hands response in the sight of the angels i will sing your praises lord the second reading is the first letter from saint paul to the corinthians brothers i want to remind you of the gospel i preached to you the gospel that you received and in which you are firmly established because the gospel will save you only if you keep believing exactly what i preached to you believing in anything else will not lead to anything well then in the first place i taught you what i had been taught my myself namely that christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures that he was buried and that he was raised to life on the third day in accordance with the scriptures and that he first appeared to cephas and secondly to the twelve next he appeared to more than 500 of the brothers at the same time most of whom are still alive though some has have died then he appeared to james and then to all of the apostles and last of all he appeared to me too it was as though it was as though i was born when no one expected it i am the least of the apostles in fact since i persecuted the church of god i hardly deserve the name apostle but by god's grace that is what i am and the grace that he has given me has not been fruitless on the contrary i or rather the grace of god that is with me have worked harder than any of the others but what matters is that i preach what they preach and this is what you all believed the word of the lord thanks be to god alleluia alleluia come follow me says the lord and i will make you fishers of my people alleluia the lord be with you a reading from the holy gospel according to luke jesus was standing one day by the lake of janazarit with the crowd pressing around him listening to the word of god when he caught sight of the two boats close to the bank the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets he got into one of the boats it was simon's and he asked him to put out a little from the shore then he sat down and taught the crowds from the boat when he finished speaking he said to simon put out into the deep water and pay out your nets for a catch master he replied we worked hard all night long and caught nothing but if you say so i will pay out the nets and when they had done this they netted such a huge number of fish that their nets began to tear and they signaled to their companions in the other boats to come and help them then these came and they filled the two boats to sinking point when simon peter saw this he fell at his knees and saying leave me lord for i am a sinful man for he and all his companions were completely overcome by the catch they had made so also were james and john sons of zebedee who were simon's partners but jesus said to simon do not be afraid from now on it is men you will catch then bringing their boats back to the end they left everything and followed him the gospel of the lord god has called us to be a people of breakthrough now i want to explain this because you see some of us don't live to our full christian potential we don't live to what god has promised for us because we give up too quickly and too easily and because we do this we're almost there and we spend our lives almost there and then when we finally god is about to do something we walk away you see when it comes to breakthrough with god when it comes through answered prayers with god when it comes through being able to stand on a higher level with god this breakthrough is usually preceded by a time of difficulty a time where we are disheartened a time where we want nothing but to walk away take the gospel today they were these disciples who had given up they were tired they had fished all night and god provided nothing they saw nothing for their labor and now this is the same with us so often we ask god for so many things we'll bring up our children and and yet it's like our prayers are not being answered they're not come they've not come to the faith and we we ask for for breakthrough in our spiritual life and it just seems like no answer nothing is happening there's no breakthrough but the thing is then we get tired and we walk away we get tired and we think nah it's not worth the fight and you know you see at that moment when you get these thoughts thinking that it is not worth the fight you're praying and you've been praying for 10 minutes 15 minutes 20 minutes and all you feel like is that you've been talking to the wall for the last 20 minutes and it is at that point you want to give up but you see at that point when you want to give up that is the point where if you persist you're about to reach breakthrough because god does this i don't know why but this is very often what happens with god again in this gospel they were ready to throw it all away and then when they had given up tied it up walked away jesus says throw your nets out and they're tired they're exhausted they don't feel like doing it but they do it anyway and then they catch not what they were expecting or not even what they had experienced ever before but they caught more than they could ever hope or imagine to the point where they couldn't even keep it for themselves they had to call other boats to help them with it because you see with the god of breakthrough then the hebrew word el gebor god of breakthrough he will pull through he will break through but we need to persevere through those moments of darkness i wrote a book now this book is published in the united states and published here in australia around the world but it's it's called breakthrough now this is the story of my testimony the story of how i moved from a place of addiction to a place of breakthrough but the principles of that book is about this is about holding on persevering the moments where we want to walk away the people who see victory with god in their lives other people who even though they want to give up even though it's so difficult even though every part of them is saying no it's not worth it it's not real it's not true they keep going but you see god not only breaks through to our prayers and giving in to our expectations but he provides more than we could ever hope or imagine and this is my encouraging encouragement for you to persevere to keep going to this god of breakthrough god will break through but you have to persevere you have to listen and obey the voice of god don't give up even if you've been praying for 20 years 25 years saint monica i cannot help but think of her she prayed for 30 years for the conversion of her son but you know what it's not only her son was converted god provided more in those nets to the point where he became a saint and he was responsible for the conversions of thousands possibly hundreds of thousands of people why because she held on to el gibor she held on to this god of breakthrough let's just pray this god please please give us a fighting spirit those of us who are tired exhausted from the fight help us get ready when on your voice on your command lord to throw the nets back into the water no matter how exhausted how tired how disheartened we are give us your spirit your fighting spirit so that we can receive your breakthrough we ask this lord in jesus name amen so now let us proclaim our faith in a god of breakthrough i believe in god the father almighty creator of heaven and earth and in jesus christ his only son our lord who was conceived by the holy spirit born of the virgin mary suffered under pontius pilate was crucified died and was buried he descended into hell on the third day he rose again from the dead he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of god the father almighty from there he will come to judge the living and the dead i believe in the holy spirit the holy catholic church the communion of saints the forgiveness of sins the resurrection of the body and life everlasting amen and so we bring our prayers to the lord i'd like to pray for you for you who are tired of praying you who are tired of even fighting for your holiness you who are stuck in addiction and have no place no way no understanding of how to keep throwing the nets in lord god give your people the strength they need right now to keep fighting to keep praying to keep persevering till they receive the breakthrough in your name lord hear us we pray for your church lord that our church may not be tired and weary and lazy that we may stand up and continue fighting be the militant church that you have called us to be to be your saints we pray for the pope for the bishops for your all of the clergy and we pray also for for your your lay people lord give us a fighting spirit lord hear us so now in the silence of your own heart so together with your families just bring your prayers to the lord lord we ask you to receive these prayers which we pray through the intercession of mary the warrior the one who teaches us to fight hail mary full of grace the lord is with thee blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb jesus holy mary mother of god pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death amen [Music] oh [Music] blessed are you lord god of all creation for through your goodness [Music] is [Music] so pray my brothers and sisters that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to god the almighty father may the lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name for our good and the good of all his holy church oh lord our god who once established these created things to sustain us in our frailty grant we pray that they may become for us now the sacrament of eternal life through christ our lord the lord be with you lift up your hearts let us give thanks to the lord our god it is truly right and just our duty and our salvation always and everywhere to give you thanks lord holy father almighty and eternal god through christ our lord for through the his paschal mystery he accomplished the marvelous deeds by which he freed us from the yoke of sin and death summoning us to the glory of being now called a chosen race a royal priesthood a holy nation a people for your own possession to proclaim everywhere your mighty works for you have called us out of darkness into your own marvelous light and so with all the angels and archangels with thrones and dominions and with all the hosts and the powers of heaven we sing the hymn of your glory as without end we acclaim oh [Music] your glory [Music] you are indeed holy o lord the fount of all holiness make holy therefore these gifts we pray by sending down your spirit upon them like the dewfall so that they may become for us the body and blood of our lord jesus christ at the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion he took bread and giving thanks he broke it then he gave it to his disciples saying take this all of you and eat of it for this is my body which will be given up for you in a similar way when supper was ended he took the chalice and once more giving thanks he gave it to his disciples saying take this all of you and drink from it for this is the chalice of my blood the blood of the new and eternal covenant which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins do this in memory of me the mystery of faith [Music] is [Music] therefore as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection we offer you lord the bread of life and the chalice of salvation giving thanks that you have held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you humbly we pray that partaking of the body and blood of christ we may be gathered into one by the holy spirit remember lord your church spread throughout the world and bring her to the fullness of charity together with francis our pope with shane our bishop and all the clergy remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection and all who have died in your mercy welcome them into the light of your face and have mercy on us all we pray that with the blessed virgin mary mother of god would bless joseph her spouse with the blessed apostles and all the saints who have pleased you throughout the ages we may merit to be coheirs to eternal life and may praise and glorify you through your son jesus christ through him and with him and in him o god almighty father in the unity of the holy spirit all glory and honor is yours forever and ever at the savior's command and formed by divine teaching we dare to say our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil deliver us lord we pray from every evil and graciously grant peace in our days that by the help of your mercy we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our savior jesus christ for the kingdom the power and the glory are yours now and forever and lord jesus christ who sent your apostles peace i leave you my peace i give you look not on our sin but on the faith of your church and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will who live and reign forever and ever the peace of the lord be with you always and let us offer each other a sign of peace take away foreign [Music] this is [Music] behold the lamb of god behold him who takes away the sins of the world blessed are those called to the supper of the lamb lord i am not worthy that you should enter under my roof but only say the word and my soul shall be healed [Music] opened my eyes [Music] you [Music] all together [Music] oh [Music] all together [Music] please for a moment allow me to pray for you to intercede for you so if you're comfortable just bow your heads and pray just pray that god would heal would break through into your life father god i thank you for your people that you love each and every person that you know their desires you know their fights you know their tiredness is well in this fight father god i just pray for those who are struggling struggling to keep their faith alive those who are struggling to keep their relationships alive marriages lord those who are struggling to keep their lives together give them your fighting spirit give them a desire to come back to you to come back to wholeness to come back to holiness lord those who are struggling to in their fight for holiness those stuck in addictions and those who don't even know if they can ever come back to this place of holiness or even step close to you give them lord jesus this fighting spirit when things seem lost lord let them know that the best is yet to come as they keep fighting and struggling towards you lord i'd like to pray for those who are wanting to conceive children lord give them this grace give them the strength to trust in you lord i'd like to pray for someone who's struggling in the that their leg the back of their leg there's a sharp pain on the back of your your right leg and the lord is healing you even at this moment thank you jesus for your amazing love lord i'd like to pray for those who struggle with someone with a hip problem lord he'll put things back into place you are a god of breakthrough el gabor you can do it lord jesus thank you lord i'd like to pray for those who are suffering with migraine those with depression and and mental breakdowns those who are stressed and and just have lost all sense of hope give them you lord jesus and give them your healing thank you lord for your amazing love and your presence and your healing and together let us now pray the spiritual act act of spiritual communion [Music] my jesus i believe that you are present in the most holy sacrament i love you above all things and i desire to receive you into [Music] come at [Music] i embrace you as if you are already there and unite myself holy to you never
