the love of god and the communion of the holy spirit be with you all and with your spirit we are entered we already enter into the season of land and begin with today the ashes given by the exchange symbolized to repentance so these 40 days for the church given by the church is for all of us to have a retreat yearly retreat you know jesus also do he did a retreat before he start his ministries his mission so this 40 days retreat is for prepare us for the resurrection and the resurrection is prepare us for the pentecost for mission so now let us acknowledge our sins and in this mass we be the effort and most money for our body you know today how much time we spend for our body doing exercise myself also doing we spend a lot of food for ourselves we spend all the supplements the healthy food all these we spend go for beauty go for everything gym not easy no we put a lot effort for that no why because we love our body we love the self but when one day you have to go you have to leave this world your body said i cannot follow you bye bye darling your body will say i cannot follow you bye bye darling then what is the third wife the third wise symbolize our possessions material possessions our our bungalows our big houses our branded bag lv whatever our big cars luxurious cars those things are beautiful whenever we have it whenever we go people would admire we think people will admire we will feel proud of it very beautiful but when you die they will they would change owner you look for other men other people will own it not you you cannot they they won't follow you that is the third wife then the second wife what is that the second wise is our the people around us whom we love those people very helpful in our life help us when we have problems when we have problems we go and seek for help these people may be your parents maybe your siblings maybe your children maybe your good friends maybe your church member they are good they are good but when you die they said they also said i cannot follow you the only thing they can do is conduct a a good funeral for you conduct a good funeral or do a seven-week prayer for you right that's all offer must for you recognize that we need god we need god when you fast is to make your will become weaker and allow god's will become stronger in your life if your will becomes so strong that god's will not able to fulfilled in your life then our life become we dominate our life not god so my brother and sisters this is how when this land we should see and should remind ourselves allow god become bigger and bigger just like jesus he started 40 days of fasting because he made himself total surrender to the father and after the 40 days he start his mission if not he would not able to go until the cross to reach the cross all of us we have our own cross to go and most of the time halfway we already turn back because we we do not allow god become god god must be god of our life amen other ashes ashes so now let us stand together dear brothers and sisters let us humbly ask god our father that he be pleased to bless with the abundance of his grace these ashes which we will put on our heads in penitents
