well here we are today what a glorious day for race the flower Cup Mario circuit yeah that's right Jimmy beautiful beautiful day I can't wait to get this race started all the races are perfectly in position let's get the show on the road [Music] yo let's go put in the tunes damn here we go now huh about to drop the hottest lyrics that are gonna blow your mind Mario Kart 8 with the mods on he would go now put in the show on for you and your friends press that like button like you like the Pens hey everyone its heavy and welcome back to the show this is good to be back a video in like a few days but today it's gonna be a very special day because today is the day we mod Mario Kart 8 now aren't cuts easy to understand you got Mario you got a car you put them together Mario Kart is the easy pickup and play for the family it's like the mainstay of any Nintendo console it's still a difficult game but it's accessible it's not like Smash Brothers you know there's not like 70 characters all with their own unique movesets there are so many characters now like the matchup knowledge alone is daunting in this game you basically just press the gas and you go cuz it's a car and speaking of cars let's get back to the task at hand we weren't in this game well maybe not ruining but I guess it depends on who you ask now one of the biggest things you can do in this game is obviously changing the skins I mean come on haven't you ever wanted to play as big the cat in a burger cart riding with star mean wheels on that's where every little kid is thinking about always [Music] nevermind why have I done this you can play as tons of your favorite iconic characters like Shrek that sounds like him alright look I even put him in the Prancer cuz it's like a like a fairy tale I thought it was clever not written here you no one's ever really gone that's right Yoda if there's one thing that we've learned from Star Wars it's that nobody is ever truly gone now if only we could get Anakin in here also what's up with your ears why are they why are they doing that why are they doing that like I just said a lot of what you can do with this game is simply changing the characters around doing that one by one is pretty time-consuming and boring though and confusing and lame and so that's why I recommend downloading a mod pack you'll see a lot of this pack specifically throughout the video this mod pack made by debt pegs that name probably sounds familiar if you've watched my space brothers modding video it has a lot of different menu changes and character model swaps item swaps cart swaps and even voice changes in music you name it and it probably has been changed in some way for better or for worse this one up Beck him zippy hue with hip-hop car look at this look at this this is an old and disgusting car you what are you gonna do with that drive that on the road are you kidding me the bus will drive it off the Clint nah man first of all we're gonna take this body and switch it to something better now let me give you guys remember we turned King by mom's car into a bull board that's right a bull for special play special guest and Ross is here looking for an upgrade and I got just the upgrade for it so let's get going [Music] I don't know if we've crosses on line here but is using the cars car going a little too far Andres has always been cocky that's right baby's second place here we go but basically outside hey wait stop but the note I wrote it up all right this race is the one I'm definitely gonna get first with all these new upgrades no one can beat me even though I can barely see where I'm going that's right second place closing it up for jumped ow what the heck man take this oh no oh no seventh place huh we're so close to the end no no no okay really real 10 11 okay yep yep yep yep yo so Mario Kart yep yep yep there's a lot of character model swaps out there probably way too many to cover but one of my favorites is Mickey Mouse / Mario he's got his own voice back to go along with the model and it doesn't even get old he said sarcastically [Music] sure sure is swell once in a regular house under the sea Squidward Tentacles definitely not yellow and definitely not pink Squidward Tentacles plays clarinet for all to see Wentworth tatical has a sweet ride that goes top speed when one tentacle squared one tentacle squared one vertical squared work tatical squid [Music] now there are some other mod packs out there like Mario Kart remodeled they have a huge selection of modded characters that you really can't get anywhere else from Drake and Josh to TT the clock the know I eat a pretty free Kurt was doing like a t-phones for some reason and of course you've got to give it up for woody any time Woody's in there you know it's a good mod especially because I put him in a shoe and yeah that just make sense it's probably got you written all over the bottom that's that's candidness that's confirmed I think we should take a second here to talk about some of the other things you can mod besides just the characters and karts like some of the items John all the days of bananas those smiles always always looking back at you you God forsaken fruit now it's Digimon boom its GG montt you hear did you hear me you know at least the Digimon poop is a little bit more visible unlike these Legos yeah that's right I turned the bananas into Legos but unfortunately you can barely see them which makes them ridiculous I'm constantly running into them now so if you actually want to up the difficulty of Mario Kart then put these things in there I'm sure you'll make your friends very happy you might have noticed near the beginning of the video that the shells were now skulls in fact it's Mario's skull Wow why is it specifically Mario's skull good question you know what forget the skull we're gonna turn these shells into dice it's more thematically appropriate anyway because everything's so random in this game you can also turn the mushrooms into soda pop it's accurate because you'll probably crash after using a few now one of the worst things about the original Mario Kart 8 was the multiplayer battle tracks because they were just the actual race tracks not the battle levels that we came to love well with the power of mods we can put in some actual multiplayer levels from the deluxe edition like urgent underpass doesn't make me any better at it though we can even mod in one of the battle courses from the Super Nintendo game now I can play a sonic and destroy everyone just be careful though because when you replace a map with a battle map you replace the race version of the map too so if you play it in single-player then [Music] of things can go wrong now that I think about it sometimes it's just minor graphical glitches that aren't really a big deal they could actually be pretty funny sometimes the levels just don't even work correctly I'm pretty sure these guys are supposed to be moving maybe if I give Isabel a little nut she'll be able to move never mind well time to boost my ego and this well this is just an actual JPEG of mr.
