[Music] Hey wait what oh I get it I get it everyone's in Smash now wait he wasn't announced what [Music] not too many characters what yeah Waluigi holy crap I can't believe Smash Brothers is already out it doesn't even really seem that long ago since Smash Brothers released for Wii U I never going down this store pick it up you knows I got with you and a copy of Smash Brothers and what would seem like for the next few months I was non-stop playing Smash Brothers on Wii U even one of those guys that picked up the 3ds version because I couldn't wait to play the new game boy that was a mistake it sure does make for a really good Koster for my drink now refreshing but you know what it doesn't matter because I had so much fun playing with my friends all the ding dong time on the train to Magfest replaying that in the end you know Dallas probably with the new Smash Brothers game finally out you know I thought to myself it's better to wait after students absence is good and will get a way to fill that time there with some Smash Brothers fan games [Music] I'll really be able to appreciate what you have until you know what the alternatives are like Super Smash Bros TM it's down Luigi too bad doesn't have gooey ghee in Honam say super smash bros mario vs. luigi who needs all those characters I mean come on you got Mario and Luigi think they definitely gotten over complicated with all the characters we don't need all the characters back in fact we need people to realize that there's no possible way to balance all that does solution Mario vs. Luigi the first thing the first thing that people always forget is that with less characters comes more balance [Music] we've really got this refined down to what matters it's about Bros now I can't speak for anyone else's experiences but my own but from my experience the games a little buggy for some reason I can't even hurt Luigi the man it's probably cuz his rank is higher what what's happening why why am I not dying I mind my playing portal alright as it turns out it was glitch cut I was right the game is perfectly balanced yay i won Luigi a loser ha ha got him you up for the rematch green mario you know what's weird I don't feel anything well I don't feel anything at all well that was getting tastic 10 out of 10 let's look at something else immediately and forget about what we just played you ever catch yourself doing this I mean I do it all the time you're sitting there you're playing Smash Brothers but then you have to ask yourself where's the RPG that's where Super Smash Bros conflicts comes in that's right an RPG Maker Smash Brothers game there's Mario Luigi and of course Kirby that's right walk up casually and nonchalantly punch them in the face oh I haven't seen this much aggression since the days of Mario striker insane by our team battles okay real talk who would want this who would take bet the satisfying feedback loop of punching someone in the face in real time I don't even know what's really happening here you start with random items Jack I don't even know how to use them what are the controls okay cute a simple attack a and left and a and down and a and right four special attacks okay let's see if this works [Music] I don't know about you but this is the only game I can think of where you still have health left you still fires this isn't a fight to the death of dancers fights of the slightly uncomfortable now what if I told you that your prayers have already been answered we know what you want we know what you need you want a fully 3d Smash Brothers game that's like a whole derp dee wait cut that out of the script it's like a two-for-one deal super smash battle and Super Smash bail - now Super Smash battle 1 my it's like a $15 mil you know it's a fancy meal I mean what other fighting game do you know of where Yin officially play as your boy spongebob okay the square paints himself all right so we're playing the story mode we have to walk into these doors to start the battles you know what's always a good sign when the music doesn't change from the lobby to the levels I think we're gonna get a quality product here she's made when we played Mortal Kombat every little attack combos knocking out having the blood from their circulatory system you can barely do anything to get caught in the combo it's over maybe it's just spongebob I might write some other characters all right maybe that's just the first game maybe the second game has improved on the mechanics of the first the whole nice very nice we got brain man conquer wrists star and we even got banjo and crash whoa whoa whoa a story that's not something I was expecting after many years of gaming success by the three most popular gaming companies in the world a mad scientist called dr. Perry tonic oh you mean the sole heir worshiper over here his purpose is to sell his own gaming console called Pig oh really hey go it's a console that requires to insert coins to play the games yeah get it that exists it's called an arcade cabinet what but the three companies are not going to let this happen for first time in the history they are going to combine their powers by sending all of their most popular and powerful mascots to defeat dr parra tonic and change his plans before it's too late thank God yeah we got to stop Pig Oh [Music] what the heck is going on what are these animations this doesn't even look like smash brothers there's no smashing there slap fighting but I honestly can't believe what I'm looking at all you do is one towards the other player and try to infinite combo them to death let's get stuck in that slap fight you can barely escape later I figured out that there's a special move that allows you to push people away and knock them down which ends up just making it easier to lock someone in place and beat the crap out of him you have to go through ten battles to get to the final boss 10/10 battles of this well we made to the bus look he's in for a rough time I think look at the size this guy he's like eight times the size a link oh wait never mind even for how big he is mechanically he works the same way you can just infinite combo him to death it might even be a little easier because of how big his model is wait why is his name big Oh Robo I thought it was dr parra tonic and mister peres tonic here is making me catatonic because nothing seems to really matter come on come on almost there head to beat this guy twice come on let's go hahaha yeah congratulations that's it you just get an ending card what is with these animations Mario walks like he's a zombie and nothing seems to be balanced at all Mega Man has like no delay on his attacks and he's a ranged attack that's part of his normal combo is is that supposed to be Sonic's voice quick we need a chili dogs staff this kind of a sound like himself well at least is probably not gonna get any worse than this small name state good [Music] a super-earth smash bros is a fake smash game made for a fake ZX spectrum wave voices Commodore 64 I'm confused you have a bunch of familiar faces you can play as like me Rio Louie bauza Zelda and even young lock I'm definitely gonna play as him he was my main in Smash Brothers this game is set up like the original Smash Brothers you have regular attacks special attacks and that's pretty much it items are also a thing and well [Music] Thank You Miguel my favorite part has to be the next battle screen where you're shown who your next opponent is find a new right the game has the exact same modes you'd expect to find out of a regular Smash Brothers game you can do vs classic and there's even little bonus stages that you can get stuck on ironically enough for how bad the game is trying to be there is actually a decent amount of stuff here you can play classic mode with matches against a bunch of random opponents and eventually you have to face the master hand this fight is so stupid you can just sit in the same spot and attack him down he uses a few preset moves you're gonna have to memorize but just keep swinging and you'll eventually win oh hey there's even hidden characters I don't I don't know who this is by hey there's every man with Mugen or Mugen in a long time if you've never heard of it it's basically a fighting game with unlimited potential called Mugen because Mugen literally means unlimited there's been versions of Mugen floating around since 1999 people insert their own fully customized characters into the game and essentially create the fan game of their dreams it works sometimes but of course that means there are some smashed builds out there for Mugen they're pretty bad like this one simply called Mugen Smash Bros I mean check out this Patrick Starr moveset do you like punch yes punch luigi actually functions as if you were playing him even smash he doesn't really work well I checked out loads of different character selves is pretty good if you liked this move because the super overpowered and people can't get out of the combo even Tom isn't that bad oh snap its waluigi just wait please stop stop this stop this you proved your point yeah that seems about right pepsi man vs Frieza dreams do come true wait dreams is that the right word when you choose Mario you actually get some sort of introduction story with art Stills and Peach's castle Mario's finally getting that cage it's about time but of course till it barges in and says the kingdoms under attack again Mario sure can't catch a break Rose has got to be behind this I'll put a stop to it by Bowser did you mean Batman I think you meant Batman don't worry I get it it's a Freudian slip okay but what about the good smash games there's got to be some good ones out there right well actually there is first up here's Super Smash land it's a smash game that's aesthetically made to be like a Gameboy game big bonus you don't have to deal with the bad battery life or trying to find the angle where there isn't any kind of glare don't let those graphics fool you though this game plays and feels better than any of the other games shown today so far the controls are really responsive and it's surprising that for how minimalistic this game is it actually feels really good you don't have a super huge character selection or anything but what's here is pretty good you have Mario Kirby link and Pikachu if you keep on playing the game you'll eventually unlock Megaman there's even another secret character Vaporeon which has its own completely unique moveset since it's never been in any other game before you know what's weird the game is almost too good who made this damn furnace that sounds pretty familiar oh I guess it's just the guy who went on to make rivals of ether small world this game might be a really small package but it's definitely worth your time I'd say check it out and last but not least we have Smash Brothers crusade I just said that this is like one of the best if not the best smash fan game or one of the best fan games in general ever created imagine this a game that perfectly encapsulates everything right about Smash Brothers the character unlocks the stages all the crazy little bonus modes and even just the general game feel it all feels good it's like literally playing a Nintendo product seriously this could be like a Nintendo release for the DS or something the game is seriously just one of the best fan games I've ever played at first glance it might not look like much like just a 2d Smash Bros clone who cares but then you realize how deep it really goes 58 fully designed characters 28 stages it even has controller support so you can plug in an actual GameCube controller if you want and it has cheeto whoa hit waluigi a toad and tingle I wanted this seriously I know you guys are all probably just playing ultimate right now but once you give that some time you should really come back around and give this a shot it's pretty good but that's gonna be it for me
