Marine Sniper Training - The First 2 Weeks of USMC Scout Sniper Training

hey last one left we're going to the second round the run course will be in 80 yards must be measured for accuracy which we've done this morning and set ovary ready that I will say three two one on the go we'll take off you can do a good window you can drop down bounce up and get it there okay gosh there is nothing it could is nothing in the order that says you can't use energy to freakin throw that thing up with your legs one one three four boughs get up your legs drive it up lady by what you going get up our tofu one stood up one fifteen second are what go running running running the final cone bunny drag straight back past his cone cheer left that's out of the blue let's go local go right go hard got y'all come on come on come on three two one go get rid of halfway done okay you ready three two one go around the other side and last one around the outside come on back around the outside all right come on back around it around the outside around the outside there you go right back now go go go get em three two one go she said so you are called the doctor oh yeah I got gypped Geoffrey automobiles survived but they same thing affects eBay get to take my picture about 45 seconds we'll be switching I said why or never do that again no no no no pause and then we got--we Christ I just wanted I just wanted the basic outline before we were on the end we on the far in the other time okay good challenge you yeah no I'm sure the chamber last night Deborah dollars up oh really humidity sixty one point eight sixty one point eight now I'm looking at altitude 398 three nine eight oh oh my gosh Val you're probably low top left basic right corner of that before not which ball forward lock it down you kiss that second chump you imagine that if they meet hundred from Diane that I'm not all right or I just might check that top left honor bring the into here he needs to be points of labour in there you know one small thing good they go down that's they were shooting at 100 300 500 and 600 yard lines we right now have a generic dope for our rifles each rifle however has a specific dope for that gun so being that we're shooting at these yard lines we're trying to figure out what that dope is for our right this humidity sixty one point eight it really greatly enhances our shooting skills our marksmanship skills goes over all the fundamentals and it goes over just it's really all the small things that matter with scout snipers I mean leaving a little piece of gear leaving target indicators they trained us not to do that they trained us in all the little things that that helps a big picture you put on presenting you're gonna get a lot out it's a lot of sugar time a lot of time to stock we're here with great instructors that will be able to answer any questions we have so can take away as much as you can into it you know let's practice the more you practice the better you'll get and that's what this course offers so that's new you imagine that at the 800 but all good Marines one of the reasons why I chose to be part of the scout sniper platoon is everybody all the Marines are High Point Marines we're all motivated we're all they do our jobs we are doing a m249 m240 and sniper shoot pretty much we are running new guys through the course of fire for the machine guns and then we are going to do a unknown distance shoot with the sniper rifles today I feel like the training was successful all the Marines grasp the concepts that we're trying to teach them as far as how to shoot and employ the light and medium machine gun as well as how to properly range s targets and actually engage targets using inside practice I think the biggest noise that they have is like the don't clip mentality like things get tough it's a physically demanding job you carry heavy packs over long distances with a very high expectation for what your mission is you're asked to do a lot and these guys they have the heart and I have what it takes to just keep putting in the time and effort to get better at what they're doing so that they continue doing a better job and getting better themselves in the long run we're just focusing in on a lot of the training that the Scout Sniper basic course does stalking land navigation observation we're trying to hit all these wickets and prepare these guys for potential school seats also in trying to evaluate how good they are Pat them after they've been instructed on how to execute them properly now that we have a lot of the foundations like built we can take everything to the next level as far as like getting into mission planning now they're going to be conducting missions different things like that that are more directly applicable to executing a mission we have a smaller number now than we started with and so the guys that stuck with it and finish out the course like we have they have a really good outlook
