abstinence fasting means those who are 18 years old until 60 years old are enjoined to limit the intake of food as a sacrifice to the lord usually only one full meal a day today as a sacrifice to the lord and accept those who have medical conditions and those who are those who are sick abstinence means not eating pork or any meat today again as a sacrifice to the lord so that we have even if in this small things offer something to the lord that is pleasing to him the next fasting and abstinence day will be on good friday now the holy season of lent according to the gospel reminds us first this is a time for prayer jesus tells us to pray and during lenten season to pray more prayer means talking with god you know sometimes i meet people and say father means a regular conversation with
