March 1, 2022 Weather Xtreme Video - Afternoon Edition

sagging bouncing or uneven floors standing water or high humidity nasty odors or dangerous mold crawl space problems don't get better with time but they do get better when you call aps it's the weather extreme video this is the afternoon edition this is for tuesday the 1st of march i'm james spann if you like the weather today you'll like the weather for the rest of this week dry with a warming trend we'll be close to 80 by the time the weekend gets here next week the weather turns stormy by monday most likely let's talk about it here we go this is the upper air look across the country today and again a dry northwest flow aloft and a cloudless sky statewide visible satellite view showing severe clear all across the deep south temperatures responding nicely to the sun we've got mostly mid to upper 60s birmingham at 67. we'll be in the 70s each day for the rest of this week and again by the weekend highs close to 80 an amazingly quiet first day of march march coming in like a lamb this year that's the watch warning map no thunderstorms today are tonight same thing tomorrow and the same thing on thursday we do note though on day five which is saturday there is a risk of severe storms across parts of iowa and northern missouri but again not down here here's the rain for the next seven days heaviest rain north and west of the state we'll probably start to see some rain early next week this is valid through tuesday morning this is suggesting about one inch for the tennessee valley and nothing for southeast alabama so model fans let's go here's the gfs this is the 12z run valid tomorrow at three again we have a northwest flow aloft and a beautiful day sunny with a high between 71 and 75. thursday sunny mid to upper 70s friday a sunny day we'll be flirting with 80 probably by friday afternoon and for the weekend we're still dry this is saturday and we note that surface low west of omaha that's the reason for the severe weather risk for parts of iowa and missouri but for us partly sunny warm a bit more humid the high close to 80 and the same thing on sunday thunderstorms north and west of the state we are warm and dry but then monday a cold front pushes in now the surface low is far out of here it's up in canada not exactly a classic severe weather look there is some instability involved here but of course this is monday six days out and this could change we'll watch parameters but at the moment it doesn't look like an overwhelming severe weather type threat and a week from today tuesday the eighth troughing to the west this the front stalls out and again we'll have showers and thunderstorms around we'll go out 10 days this is friday of next week march 11th a big trough out across the great plains states and once again that looks rather unsettled and potentially stormy rain for birmingham off the european ensemble after this dry stretch the weather turns wet which is what we expect in march rain amounts likely over four inches between now and the 16th of march here comes the warmth highs in the 70s around 80 by the weekend and then back in the upper 60s for much of next week and hot off the presses got the brand new cpc outlook this is for march 9th through march 15th much of the country below average but here in the southeastern states in alabama near maybe a little above average looks fairly warm down in parts of the florida peninsula that's it for the weather week stream video this afternoon we'll have notes on the blog the next video here by six o'clock tomorrow morning you can catch us this evening on abc 33 40 news at 4 5 6 and 10 o'clock thanks for watching have a great evening and god bless cracks in brick cracks and block call alabama professional services leaning or boeing basement walls call aps sticking windows or doors call aps settling or sinking foundation that's right call aps it's a fact foundation problems don't get better with time but they do get better when you call aps call alabama professional services today
