MAP sensors cleaning f150 ecoboost

hello everyone we're going to be working on the EcoBoost this morning I'm going to clean the map sensors so we'll go through and we'll clean those I'll show you how to do that and I'll be right back with you all right guys we're gonna get started on cleaning these a map sensors we're gonna take the cover off maybe all right we got the cover off well one of these looks like the boost gauge I'm guessing that one's a boost gauge it's got a Torx bit the other huh that's not good that's missing a bolt I wonder where that went can't believe they'd only put one back in it well let me get some tools say I'll show you all right here it's missing a bolt I'll see if I find one that fits the threads and put one in it because that might be why it's idling or rough it's not reading quite right but let me get some tools and we will get to it okay guys it's a it's a seven millimeter sorry for the dog in the background but seven millimeter so we'll take a seven millimeter out and then we'll go to the spoke can see if we can find any more of these because there should be one more in here that surprised there's only one in it okay got that out set that where we won't lose it let's pull this out okay ooh now that is nasty nasty nasty I want to show you guys this look at how nasty that is that is nasty there it looking at that is really nasty we'll get to cleaning it [Music] [Music] okay kind of stuff okay looks like we got clean them and wipe that Fred off get me a rag I didn't realize you were still recording that's how I paused you but this is as bad as clean as it's gonna get so we'll try that I can see the silver now on the wire so we'll get that back installed I guess it does only have one bolt we'll get this back installed in here okay just dropped right in take our seven millimeter of course some money hits right around on the lawnmower while I'm recording so [Music] we'll get this put back in [Music] and we'll check the booths cage okay guys the booth boost gauge it's located down here see if I can get you a good shot here that's the boost gauge okay and it takes a t20 t20 Torx bit so we'll go and get this off here hopefully the camera don't move imagine and I put my catch pan right in the way okay that's loose get rid of the extension I'll remove the other Torx bit I don't know how clean I'll be able to get this because I ran out of stuff I didn't think that that sensor would be that dirty hear that yeah map sensor there would be that dirty but it was so and get this out of here okay let's see what we got here if I can get it out come on it's coming but slow okay there wait see what we got well that one's dirty but not as bad [Music] okay I'm trying to find something to clean this with all right guys we're all clean that one looks a lot better than the other one I might have to replace that at some point but we'll go ahead and reinstall it okay popped in there dinner screw started get our other screw started and then we'll tighten them down okay got that one tight move on to the top and okay that one's tight looks like these screw in the plastic so be very careful on how you tighten these don't want to see anybody strip them out okay now we're gonna run it and see what happens so and get everything put away I'll put the cover back on after I started okay I got everything but boom here we go get you guys set up here I'll start you guys out here and let's we'll see if we would notice the difference hopefully the camera don't fall all right guys well it's not idling it rook the idols not bouncing around as much anymore [Applause] yeah it seems like it's running a heck of a lot better I don't know what kind of sensors is are I know one viewer said that has three mass air flows those possibly could be or it could be a new style of Math Center they don't look like any map since they're unused too but they could be so just let me know in the comments of what they might be for sure it would be nice to know so yeah it's running a heck of a lot better it's not it used to take a little longer to idle down and not quite run this smooth so looks like we got a win here do you like my videos please like and subscribe and have a wonderful day you
