[Music] [Music] [Music] good afternoon welcome to Donington Park this is it the big one is here this is the Donington decider it is the final round of the 2019 British GT Championship and my goodness if there was ever a race that these guys need an amazing showing everything's on the line there are so many teams so many drivers that have a chance of that top step and getting the name etched on the trophy but before then we have a special moment as well you can see look at this I've got a beautiful TVR just here just behind there there's an xj220 I mean wow we are privileged here with some beautiful cars why are they out the front though well little celebration British GT hasn't just been around for a couple of seasons this in fact today marks the 300th race of the British GT Championship and as you can see these sort of 9 or 10 cars out in front the pre great cars as we call them these are some of the cars that have written across the history of the championship these guys have been racing around and as a celebration they're going to be taking out doing a hot lap before the race begins now I'll tell you there is an awful lot to discuss and an awful lot of unpack before the beginning of the race and thankfully we don't just have to rely on my brain to do that because I mean that would just be a recipe for disaster we have the proper brains in the commentary box and Eva Kern and Joe Osborn live with pressures on now isn't it there Andy yeah thank you very much this is the biggest race of the year quite frankly the British GT Championship championship decided the Darlington decider always is incredibly intense but with five gt3 teams and 6 GT 4 squads still in contention for the 2019 championship this is going to be possibly the most intense championship decided we've had for quite some time add even to all of that the fact that it is the 300th British GT race in history and Joe Osborn I think we're in for one hell of a couple of hours of entertainment aren't we yeah I think across the to class is having everything so tight with so many cars in contention it's gonna build the pressure and I think we're gonna see a few people fold early on and then we'll probably get a clearer understanding all the thought with 45 30 minutes to run off who's probably going to take the championship but as we've seen over many many years not just a 300 races but the last few championships have really gone down to the last few laps oh yeah I'm super super excited for this that's for sure absolutely well before we get the race underway we have a bit of a taster here of what the last 300 race or 299 races of British GT has provided us we have a parade of cars about ahead onto the circuit and mdj can tell us a little bit more about where what we're about to see the British GT Championship began back in 1993 under the name of the BRDC Sports GT challenge the very first race was run here at Donington Park with just a handful of Porsches but with this race ending in a three-way scrap on the last lap it set the tone to what would become one of the most hard-fought in closed national GT series in the [Music] the championship grew stronger with more supercars competing like this Twi Jaguar xj220 in the hands of multiple British Touring Car champion and win Percy who was testing the car for the 1993 LeMond 24 hours [Music] enjoy the championship later that you know ultimately though the Porsche 935 took the inaugural championship in 1996 the championship welcomed the Gordon Murray conceived Center seated McLaren f1 which outpaced its competition from the get-go in the hands of Ian flux this beautiful car became a regular sight in the p.m. I backed long tail version driven by too sudden and Pink Floyd managers Stevo listen to that [Music] [Music] the cars got faster and developed into the gt1 class which in 1998 more supercars joined the grid the mighty Jaguar v12 powered list a storm made its first appearance in the hands of X f1 race of Julian Bailey still unpainted it became a successful stalwart of the series despite its very first race ending with the back then came the awesome TV our speed 12 originally the project 712 do - it's phenomenal 7 litre v12 engine it was owner Peter wheelers dream to take on the GT White's but fast forward to 2006 an Aston Martin came back to dominate his class in the dbrs9 with Liam each it's key and then became the car of choice with the v12 Vantage and from 2012 to 2018 this incredible car 122 of the 68 races in British GT and with two aston teams fighting for the championship this weekend and the Aston Wings could continue to soar [Music] well that does make you feel rather than a style to it doesn't it and looking back at the history of the British GT Championship a championship that's been around for actually a year longer than I've been on the planet it is an astonishing championship an astonishing the way in which that it's grown and grown the crowd here this weekend is enormous an awful lot of people here this weekend to enjoy the racing and to enjoy Joe the cars are about seeing the parade I mean okay so if you could leave the Coventry blocks and go and paddle one of those things around Donington Park which one of you stealing the keys for it it's a very very good question the the one that's got the soft spot in my heart says Ginetta g50 the first-ever gt4 car I remember racing that 2008 to Alton Park and having no idea what was doing my first ever British GT race first multi race with driver and stuff and I was just happy not to crash and get it back but that TVR i think looks absolutely mental good that's a road car i won't want to be driving that on a damp a road monday morning because i throw that into the hedges well well I think it's wicked see where British GT is coming from obviously like a pretty small grit early days of just a few Porsches although they're beautiful to what it is now bumper filled with some races that we can't have more cars because the track capacity gets hit so I think that shows what a great job SRO I've done under the stewardship of owning the British GT brand as it were yeah absolutely and the variety on the grid these days is just one of the ways in which this championship has grown and grown over the years well it's one of those times on DJ where I'm quite envious of you really because we're watching this happen from afar but you're right down there in amongst it you know what you're absolutely right Andy there's there's nowhere I'd rather be right now other than perhaps playing with my kids but you know this is so exciting it's absolutely brilliant to be in the thick of it and the grid when it happens ah it's just you feel the nerves you feel the energy you feel the excitement it really is brilliant I just want to pick up very quickly on Joe Osborn the idea of him in a TVR throwing around a country road I'd be terrified as a passenger so I'm glad he'd be scared to drive it himself also nice to him pick a car that isn't a McLaren that's a change anyway let's focus on the championship so we because it's so so exciting and here we go i have said prio with me now Seb has come out here early does a lot the drivers haven't come out yet so you're obviously this time to get focused etc gt4 you start in p5 interestingly in GT 4 in the front 5 we've got the three title contenders you're at the back of them however for some reason I just I've been putting my money on you I think today yeah I mean we always have a great car to race the for Mustangs really okay everyone here before you know we're starting p5 you know not the worst case scenario so you mean we can stay out of trouble trying you know or not at the back end and we're not at the top end there in the middle so it's great we're gonna give it a best shot you know we can all we can do is go for the go for the times we've gone off in Toulouse we're not not ly in the championship so we're gonna go out there and hunt the hunted you know let's talk about strategy because obviously like you say you've got nothing to lose etc but but also it's the last race this is the time when it is hell-for-leather isn't it it's it's just do it floor it make it count this is where you know it gets a bit feisty out there on my grid so we've got to be fully aware and that's going to gt3 cars battling for champion leads and GG for cars to so we're gonna have to be really aware and it's gonna be pushing might be all sorts of stuff going on as I pull out from my dad a long time ago anyone as well titles you know there's a lot that happens so we just gotta get out there and have a clear head and focus on on being the best driver who can be so the Mustangs been a very exciting car you'd love to finish off it on the top wouldn't you whether definitely it's great 13 multimatic and forwards done a great job this year and we've had a great year so we would like to end on a high and give it a best shot going into the winter and have a nice winter so be good send on high I wish you all the best good luck enjoy it okay thank you sir guys back to you and I imagine there'll be quite a few more drivers just getting their way out here very very soon I hope so because they've got a show to put on for as this final round of what has been an astonishing season I mean that is the word isn't it really we've had so many different winners different cars on the podium and even as recently as the previous round at Brands Hatch some fascinating intra team battling it bar well and you know we're at Donington part now the circuit at which year after year bar well arrive as chairmanship contenders and then things just for whatever reason don't seem to quite come good for them juries but a joy having you onboard as well for the bulk of the season this year and I'm sure you've enjoyed it equally as much as far as I have what have you taken away from this season because it's easy for us to say we seem to say this every year oh it's the best season ever but it has been good hasn't it yes be really good and yeah I've loved being in the comments box by the way and you carrying me at the end of this season for the work you're doing to make me look half respectable but I think what's been impressive issues the Antony's definitely upped their game again the pace is always amazing these guys working five days a week hard flat-out getting enough money it's kind of wasted here but they're Racecraft this year like Michael I go here the move he put into red/gray was amazing and how clean it's been we haven't had a lot of contact between the arms and I think that's why the championships still open because we haven't had people given lots of penalties or exclusions or stuff like that yeah and this this next two hours at Donington is gonna be amazing there you're quite right and the race cart start soon enough but before it does let's remind ourselves of just a few of the top stories that are developed over the year and that have brought us to this point now the 2019 Darlington decider the 300th race the Donington decider will go down to a two hour enduro with five gt3 pairings in contention for the overall championships and six GT for pairings fighting for class honours for GT four this is going to be the biggest ever championship finale with 37 and a half points on offer sixth place Aston Martin hotshots Martin clammin and Kelvin Fletcher will have to put their dancing shoes on if they've got any hope of clinching that trophy they can win by half a point if no one scores and they cross the stripe first still soap starter and racing driver will have a new career to contend with after this weekend it's been the strangest most chaotic random two weeks of my life really you know naturally on the back of a bronze axe your focus very much switches towards the last round of the Year Darlington and and the championship you know we thought we nearly had it in the bag runs it turned out within and we had a healthy lead but going into runs very much focused on securing the title and then up pops the BBC which should come dancing two weeks ago so it was a huge curveball I wasn't expecting it you know it was I wasn't on any reserve list event of any kind and they put twinkle toes on the side of my cow flower will up twinkle toes and you know I'll be all right apart from the globe all is all about you know British GT and hopefully winning this championship Ashley hand and Tom canning heads there with both form and history in their favor the number 97 Aston currently sits 8 and a half points clear of the pack we had good pace coming into year we knew we'd be in the running and then we add our worst round of the era Alton with no points and yeah to pull it back to their spots just yeah I don't know how we've managed it but just gotta get the job done at this last round the rest as snapping at their heels headed by McLaren drivers Dean McDonald and Callen pointin this duo will be fighting it out to the end and especially for pointin who was in the title hunt last year and will not want to experience heartbreak for a second time so in gt3 Phil Keene has never won a British gt3 championship it's not for lack of trying indeed he's finished runner-up on the last three occasions this year as in every year since 2016 he heads to the final round with a chance to finally wrap up that elusive title it's been a long time until I start to bridge TT 2005 so it's been a long journey so be nice to finally win it you know I'm not really enjoying the challenge of working with that there you know a an AM driver or someone who doesn't have the experience and I'm building that relationship and teaching them as much as I can and I actually really enjoyed the British circuits Farwell have done a great job LAN they always do the cars been good so just fingers crossed really then we can finish the job him teammates of Sam de hann and Johnny Cocker lie in third and will need to win in order to stand a chance of clinching the title but will team orders play into this weekend's showdown there's been a light conversation had about that already but you know really until it's over then it's not over really you know I think we can't be going into the race with I know in the back of our head how we might potentially help this is the car you know we're going into this race think you know we're gonna win it and that's where my head's going to be between the two teams lie our history maker going for a fourth title Johnny Adam is feeling confident despite his 22nd success penalty from Brands Hatch obviously going to decide there's always swung on my side my favor but you know I felt obviously had a better rod Michael the last three attempts or four times I said so em we'll see I mean obviously they're gonna in this championship leaders we've gone in with 20 seconds line second I've been in the situation a few times but Luck's been on my side so I think tomorrow it will boil to that piece for sure but more importantly luck the outsiders that are waiting to pick up in pieces are Holly Wilkinson and Bradley Ellis in the optimum Astin and Shawn bow and Rob Bell in the bow McLaren a massive 33 and a half points adrift it is clearly an uphill battle but don't rule anyone out just yet and here we go I'm with a potential history mate you made history in this championship a few times now Johnny this would be title number four if it's quite a big if given the journey you'll have to go on in one hundred and twenty minutes of racing but how're you feeling that didn't sound good no yeah we just have to see how it pans out pretty much qualified for obviously today obviously we have 20 seconds to try and make up anything can happen I think we've played a good strategy for the race you know we've saved as many new sets of tyres as we can for both Graham and myself we found a little problem last night with a car which I think this may be hindered us and qualifying will change the gearbox overnight we change the guys at TF have done a really good job of spot the smallest tiny tiny issue that I think is resulted in maybe a little bit of loss in performance so we changed that when I grim thought the car is really good in warm-up so confidence is up now and so we'll see just a nice clean start obviously I think McLaren looks very strong this weekend they've called fight Paul but there's a few of us a nervous other drivers around them and but we just have to try not make mistakes let it come to us and just have fun you know I said this last year you could predict the loads of things a motorsport but as a race you can't so we'll go there we'll give it our best shot it's nice to be in the situation because the seasons been so up and down but it's nice to be in the fight and if it swings our way great but it's been a good year and I think Graham's driving so well this year you said to me yesterday you thought that luck was going to play its part as it always does in all racing but what's your hunch are we gonna see you last 20 minutes of you versus Phil keen because it sort of feels like that's written in the stars in a way yeah I mean it's Donington the Sado is never easy I don't think it's ever not gone to the last so 20 minutes half an hour of the race so there'll be a lot that will swing foreign again so the race so I think as viewers I think hopefully by you know the last 20 minutes it all unfolds but we're hungry for it yeah we're going to go flat out and then treat it as a normal race but a race that we want to do well and then okay the JumpShip hinges but and give our best shot and yeah see how the next two hours unfolds pretty much I'm looking forward to watching it Johnny I'm used to seeing you calm but you actually feel confident am I am i right you you're sensing it right now yeah we've got little bit of air of confidence just purely off the back of little you know the thing that we found last night so you have to be confident you know the competition here is thick and fast so we have to be confident for what we could do but it'd be good good luck mate later on right I'm gonna find some more drivers for you and I'm pleased to say they are starting to fill up but let me let's grab Phil King first he's just over here he's got us back to us but we'll disturb him anyway come with me Phil Phil I need to borrow you we're live at the moment that's all right I know you're a prolific swearer so let's get on the words how are you feeling you are now ready for this you've been here I don't want to kind of keep saying this to you but you have been so close for so many seasons this is it now this is your chance to really show us what you got isn't it oh we thought that last year we did and then some spanners hit the works but today how are you feeling now we're feeling confident I think the car fit was good Adams in a good place so you know we'll just do our best and see what happens so you can do isn't it you'll come now I've just spoken to Johnny he's confident how confident are you because I've never seen Johnny up beat like that pre-race I'm used to seeing you kind of glass as half-empty and then you go and throw some amazing performances at us so where's your head really a better be half-empty then I think no I think we stand a good chance I think yeah you know we just have to see how the race pans up I think we've got everything underneath us we need to do the job so I'm you know we're confident it just depends that all plays out how's the car feeling yeah the car feels good so I feel good in qualifying yesterday and I think we have a good race car so we're just gonna do the best we can Adam starts at the star of the season he said to me oh it's really quick he's he's really gotten grips with it though hasn't he yeah you have to remember it's his first year and I think he's driven really well and he's learning a lot all the time and hopefully today will be his best start yet okay mate we'll look we wish you luck I'm sure we'll be chatting during the race have a good one you're going to enjoy it at least always thanks for I think it looks like those wonderful cars in front of us are about to take over Andy and Joe tell us all about it I'm looking forward to this I have to admit and some of these cars in particularly the the TVR to the right even on the left he's particularly celebrity me are to the right I think the first ever British GT race I attended it was at Oulton Park in 2002 anyway who's the year that it bought down with rain halfway through the race and either that's exactly I want with that livery was involved in in a humungous shot which happened right in front of me and I've been hooked on GT racing ever since whether that was a direct link to that accent happening from three I don't know but seeing those cars competing on the circuits back then and has played a large part actually why I'm standing here in this comms box right now and so this for me is a special occasion and to see the variety of car out there as well it's going to be quite something they're gonna head out now onto a home to a parade lap rather smokey starts the parade lap for the the TVR cerbera speed 12 which is a road-legal car which boggles the mind really quite frankly it's built up of bits of cars that did race in the British GT Championship there that were not very many of these TVR server's made and so once they stopped racing the bits of them sort of went elsewhere and they amalgamated them all to create this road-legal version of the race of of the bits of it did race in the British GT Championship there the flash of yellow don't worry that's not someone intruding on operate that is a car the race very successfully actually the British GT Championship about 15 years ago or so the VW Golf that golf air VW golf which wouldn't race is in the gto class against Porsches and Ferraris and other sort of more traditional GT Championship entrants and the golf despite being front-wheel drive and a hatchback was a very very potent bit of kit and it's another one of those cars that you necessarily expect to see on a British TV GT grid but there it was and I think over the ages Joe the regulations have changed and we've had some particularly spectacular cars that didn't usually race around the rest of the world all that lot all a lot much so I think seeing them here at Bridge GTS all the unique things about this championship back in the 90s particular was open to a fairly wide variety of cars well as those cars head out around their parade lap let's head back down to the grid where the tension and DJ I'm sure is continuing to rise but the tension is indeed beginning to rise but I'm very pleased to say I've been able to grab David Richards here now I've spotted you in a few rounds over the last few seasons actually David so I know that you're a fan and quite invested in British GT but this is a special event in the big Donington decider it really is one of those kinda you've got a circle in the calendar at the start of the season event so it's it does seem to be that this championship always goes down to the wire and with so many things to fight for it to our race you just never saw what's going to happen till the the last five minutes and we have one of these wonderful things here because we've got so many talented drivers throughout but our aims as well have really stepped up this season we've seen some incredible drives I think the whole grid that it's a very professional grid this days and you look at the number of people that turn up to watch as well and know the whole championships risen to a different level and it's encouraging for British motorsport David you have access all areas you're welcome in any of the garages of course who will you be watching with today well I'm not doing my two sons I'm here somewhat neutral hat on as chairman of the governing body and most what UK some so we're gonna have a quiet hamburger on our own and then go and find somewhere around the outside to go and watch that's why I don't want to ask you to pick a favorite because it doesn't seem fair you're welcome to answer that but I'm not technically asking that's very fair okay so I won't answer the question key thing is we're gonna see a great race and the fact that it's come to the final round in both gt3 and gt4 is still up for grabs just shows what a championship it is no I totally agree and I think you're the best guy will win at the end of the day and it's and no it's very encouraging to see what a close championship it's become great stuff thank you few time enjoy the race I appreciate it thank you David I'm right guys I'm gonna go back to you whether I can see Rob bail so I'm I'll be back in a second right so well you can obviously a lot of drivers because all the cars are now on the grid ahead of this race welcome everybody by the way if you're just joining us I hope the replace your vagina your certainly tracks I there are a lot of people here a big big crowd on hand at Donington Park this weekend to enjoy the Darlington decided we've already have some thrilling support race action and now the two-hour championship decider fought the British GT Championship the crowd gets bigger and bigger every year at this meeting I've noted if I had all the meetings I remember back at Alton park at the start of the year barely move for spectators wandering around the paddock an accessible public as well of course which one of the great things about this championship and yes this final round of the competition particularly strong and well supported could see David Richards here as well adding his input to this final round of the championship there's the weather at the moment 20 low 20 degrees ambient temperature it is very humid though nearly seven to plenty humidity I haven't I've deliberately not looked at a weather forecast because as soon as I do that I get so transfixed with all well there's a 25% chance it might rain at 3 o'clock and let's just see what happens I guess but I can tell you it's overcast it has been all day long there have been these sort of dark threatening clouds looming overhead all day long nothing's really happened with them as have yet so the the weather is going to be our thinking ongoing discussion but we'll sort of wait and see what happens with that right I can see out of my window that Andy Jay has found a Rob Bell down on the front of the grid I think this could be a good race for up coming up it certainly could be a good race for Rob I mean you guys have been looking incredibly fast you in fact you seem to be getting quicker and quicker as the races go by you've really hit the groove and start on pole you and with the Johnson the title as well I believe you have to make sure that your nearest competitors don't finish in the top eight is that right yeah we haven't really got a plan for that one but look we just do our thing we're enjoying it Shaun's driving with a smile on his face and it shows you know the cars as you said it's got strong as the years gone on and that's what we expected with a car that's new to the it's a new car the 720 McLaren so we're happy with where we are we're happy with what we've done and nice to finish it off though opening with the win it always nice to finish weather in good luck Rob thank you for talking to us it seems so calm I don't know how you do it well done mate right we're gonna dash down to GT for now so guys if you can fill the time I don't know how much time we've got so we're gonna have a little jog you guys you guys take over for a bit right and he gets his his fortnightly running how's he jock down the middle of the grid to GT for where there are even more stories actually the new gt3 because there are six cars that can still with the GT for Jam budget mathematically plus the pro-am and the silver Cup championship so we decided as well Joey it's gonna be a fantastic race I think we're gonna have lots of questions we can answer over hopefully the next couple hours like who's been win the championship but people can get in touch with you as well can't leave they want to ask us any questions and get involved with this Darlington decider how do they go about doing that yeah I think like I said the crowds are so big I took you to get into the track today a British GT they're the fame grows and grows and I can see why the grits fool the cars are cool the drivers not so much but these the spectacles brilliant and yeah I think aspire worked quite well so if people want to tweet in sport enjoy is my Twitter if your questions good I'll answer it if it's rubbish I'll leave it so make it interesting let's see what we can do and I think over the next two hours what's gonna be amazing is is how this transforms I think what I'm looking at mainly is Berlin on the front row and then Davidson behind him so that the left-hand side what the grid as they sit on it is going to be the action point yes balland bellend sorry I've forgotten shaunb afternoon and they're not in the JumpShip so much so they're gonna have to go for it so let's have a look at GT 4 as well I think Andy with his monthly exercises about to go in cardiac arrest wherever Gandhi I've got Dean McDonald here Dean you have been looking fast I think the stats are something like you're the quickest GT for driver across the last one three four races you are rapid three races yeah it's going well I'm so I think we if we can just finish off today I'll be absolutely amazing but yeah face is good I think the race pace is good as well so looking forward to it where have you found this extra level of speed that no one else seems to have tapped into here I thought oh honey some hit on home I think it just comes from a strange voice I think I want I hope from the hhc guys as well so you're the headman's absolutely needs a job with a car just tell me a very quick work as I know where we've got to go and you'll be wanting to get in the zone but the GT for battle has been unbelievable this season yeah as you know from race to race I thing has always been so costly last than the most an loss even told me another car has just been on believe I thought that you could predict it I took thick disc run to the harsh run he could not done it so I'm looking forward to see often so much fun think you didn't enjoy yourself let's see that pace continue hey yeah good man thank you very much guys thanks Tina I'm sure you have gathered we do now need to leave but Wow this is so beautifully set up isn't it so many drivers so many teams really go for it the donning decider is on and you guys well good luck talking through it yeah with respect Andy get off the grid because we want to go racing now this is almost time to get going now two hours of racing championships on the line and I've been looking forward to this one for quite a long time to put it very simply we're getting to the the deeper elements of the points permutations later in gt3 if the number 72 Lamborghini all the 47th EF sport Aston Martin that's their second and fourth respectively two cars on the right hand side of your screen if either of those two win the race they are champions regardless of where any well so want anyone else finishes so from our point of view that would be quite nice because then we don't have to start adding things up but I'm pretty sure it won't be that straightforward that's their target though for the 69 Lamborghini if they win and the 72 and 47 are not in the top two so I if there's at least one car between them that's 69 of the champions so it is almost winner-takes-all between those three with one or two variations beyond that though it gets a bit more complicated and there's a very good chance that one of those cars may not win the race because there are other cars at the front of the grid and the BAL floats what McLaren is one of them definitely there are going to be contenders for race victories that car finished second at Brands Hatch last time out there so it does have a 15-second penalty on the subject of pit penalties of those three that I just mentioned the two bar were Lamborghinis and the 47 Aston Martin only the Aston Martin has a success penalty to serve and it's a big one 20 extra seconds must be spent in the pit lane because they won at Brands Hatch last time house they woman and brought themselves into capture contention but the flipside of that is that they have this pitstop penalty to serve eighty-four similarly pitstop penalties will affect some of our championship contenders for that championed by the 97 Aston Martin by just eight and a half points coming into the final race here we go then we've got cars moving on the track the green flag lap is underway and in a moment or two we should be able to run you through the mammoth entry the grid for this final round of the championship and one last chance as well to savor the sights and sound of these cars a reasonably low speed before we get up to full racing speed and the dominant Park Grand Prix circuit here's the great then Shaw mouthful start the bulk motorsport McLaren from pole position still yet to get a win this year remember with happen bow on the championship leader alongside Ian Loki likewise looking for his first victory for round racing his third with gray and Davidson's second in the championship fourth on the grid Angus fender is the highest place silver cooked car with his teammate Dominic Paul the two sent remote swap BMWs locking out the third row then sand to hand third in the championship looking for a win if he can to try and take the title he's got Richard near his team have a racing Mercedes alongside on Row 4 with Mark farmer in the second TS fourth Aston Martin ninth on the grid Michael I go for WPI motorsport should move forward from there I think he lines up 10th the Bentley's have struggled this weekend Rick Parfitt the best placed on the grid he's 11th with oli Wilkinson Spa winner 12th mathematically still in the hunt if they win the race with Andrew Howard 30 and Ryan Ratcliffe the last of the silver cooked entrance 14th place on the grid Seamus Jennings is back in the all Allen driven Porsche ahead of Richard Williams in the stellar performance out he not championship contenders but looking for a second win of the year perhaps here in the Audi that's on pole position Tom canning though is the championship leader in GT for with his teammate - have their 17th second in GT for with Kalen points and their nearest rivals right alongside Patrick kibble for TF sports and Scott Maxwell are on row number 10 and then the rest of the TZ force filing through Patrick Mattias and Marc Murphy share the next row of the grid followed by Andrew Gordon Colebrook and Bob Murray making his debut former MD rating for the four champion armory the two century BMWs Ben Jordan Colorado and Kelvin Fletcher mathematically still in contention both of them for the GT for title they Johnson and Jack Beutel for optimum motorsport Pennhurst and James Dolan James taught one to watch for I think possibly in the number four car for a lot further down the grid that he should be ahead of Ruben del Sol for HHC Ashley Davis for multimatic Nick Jones for Team Parker and Sam smelt for race performance then mike McCollum Chris Carr and Alex Toth Jones at the back of the grid Ryan this is it deep breath everybody strap yourselves in stand well back two hours of racing championships to be decided McLaren Lamborghini Mercedes Aston Martin and BMW filling out the top five rows of the grid in GT four and it is the Shawn path driven McLaren that will line up on pole position with the championship leading Lamborghini and Adam Balan alongside who will be gunning for the race victory extra left didn't see anything wrong with the grid lining up the only thing I would say is we're a bit early on time so the race might be course pass don't know if we just happen to add another lap in there can't see anything wrong from those two cars that have probably hit each other at the Melbourne hairpin which we missed live so Nick Jones in that Mercedes and then the multimatic for that isn't in the championship hunt looks like it's got a front left puncture the Mustang so my guess is going to be that he's gone into the side and Nick Jones oh I just didn't expect him to be there but white woody I suppose that's looks like the sill of the mustang mustang of the year the KTM have Mike McCallum so I can see why there's an extra formation well that's pretty special not seeing that before don't even II can give it penalty doesn't started the only thing I'd say is luckily they're not championship contenders so you can't say there's any underhand tactics that have people wiping out thing as we see Nick Jones in the pit lane which pretty badly damaged on the right hand side that car so hopeful it's just it needs a new tire wheel combo it can go but so now we're going to get a safety car start which means every will be single file pulling over which number is that 53 then the car that was due to start from eight from the great Andrew Gordon Colebrook now I don't think that was involved in any of that contact was it so this is well the 300th race getting off to a bizarre start here they ripped the time you'll notice how started to tick down so the race have started it will stop back and safety car now unfortunately Nick Jones in the pit lane with the Mercedes that I'm sure has quite a bit of damage down the right hand side dolly whales are death in as well that always means it's going into the garage that's not a quick easy fix that looks like it's fixed itself it is the radiator full of grass now so those radiators obviously cooling the engine and the brakes but if they're full of grass they won't works and that will overheat as well I don't know if the safety car even we had to come in this lap with the detritus and the cars that dotted everywhere so yeah it's gonna be a single-file start now so slightly less spectacle but probably will bring the heart rate down or the championship contenders it's a safer way to start because you are single file so I'd say there's probably benefits piling the most out of anyone in terms of it just gets them away from Davidson a little bit and it gives it gives both for the easiest job now to get going he cannot get jump before the line so no car can be in front of the car it's behind before the start/finish line basically so we won't see any overtaking until the braking zone into turn number one yes and the risk for Balan was that he was on the outside everyone so always that's not the reading space want to be on the outside at read case he could have potentially lost at PE positions that may still happen of course because also they do cross that line who they're taking is very much committed and indeed encouraged and so it's not to say that they going to stay in these positions until the bit stops put so certainly takes a bit of the pressure away so a slightly bizarre start to the race we've lost unfortunately three of our GT four contenders but as Joe made the point none of them were championship contending my heart did skip a beat for a moment where I saw a multimatic Mustang parked at the side of the road because you Joe confidently predicted that you feel that number 15 car is arguably the favorite to claim the title in GT 4 can you even make any attempt at predicting a gt3 champions now it's difficult I think it will stay between the Lambo and the Aston Martin so it's either gonna be Ballentine or Davidson Adam you think the others need too much and is out of their hands the thing that goes massively against the Aston Martin of dates and Alan is that 20 seconds to sex penalty from the last race so I think they need a safety car at some point those guys there's not a safety car I think this is Parliament Kings to lose if there is a safety car and I think that's gonna drag Johnnie out and back up after pit stop window potentially to be a lot closer than keen as we see the century car also going to go into the box to see what his problem was so yeah there's gonna be an interesting start saying they so just hope it's clean for the first hour when everyone in in contention and to win the championship for the right reasons interestingly both cars have obviously teammates in that could potentially help I think we saw Brands Hatch at the Barlow teammates are probably less likely to help each other than the TF sport car bit of politics there Phil Kings move up Johnny caca wasn't so well-received by the latter party in that one so we have some inter team rivalry it's not Formula one here there isn't really team orders everyone's paying their money to be here so there's no priority across the team so be interesting to see how it pans out with that dynamic - to your point about a safety car show yes 47 need a safety car but they need it after the pit stop turning this safety car now is doing them no good at all because their pit stop we're going to be longer than their championship rivals they want to escape up the road ideally build maybe a 20-plus second gap let's talk about in front every minute that ticks by now that we're not racing is playing into the hands of the Lamborghinis you have to say because they have no success penalties as long as they stay within 20 seconds of the 47 Aston Martin they will be in theory in front of it after the pit stops how that's not to say that Johnny Adam won't they go and overtake them anyway but they will have the track position so yes those with success penalties need safety guards but not yet they really needed the entirety of this first stint in order to build a gap yeah exactly as we see the safety car coming this naps are finally get some racing and it's very correct what you said the interesting with British GT there isn't really a pic window it doesn't close out only open so once I pick windows been smashed you can stop whenever you want after it now about safety car that's five six minutes of fuel that's being used at a less ferocious rate probably about half as much normally under safety car so we should be able to see the pit window go a bit longer maybe by four or five minutes but the longer the am stays in that less the pro is in their car so it's going to be hard as well to know when to box the car to get the most out of your pro the GT Falls can pick anywhere from fifty eight minutes into the race and the gt3 s can pet anywhere 62 minutes into the race but most teams would want to get their pride as quickly as their pots with a little bit different for the silver silver guys there's not so much of a deficit between the two so safety guard lights out so we're definitely going for this time so Sean both will take control of the field he has to stay in between 60 and 100 kilometres an hour and once he goes I think once he accelerates he can not slow down again so for me I think probably the best place to accelerate is if he can slow down enough to get a big enough gap to safety cars out of this first hairpin where we thought saw the first collision of the race looks like he's probably too close he's probably having to wait a little bit in between the two hairpins before he goes who's here I'm trying to get a little bit of tire temperature a bit of weaving side to side keep at the surface of the tire clean from any pickup and it looks like we've got although the yellow flags are out you can excel just could not overtake until that start line let's see how it all goes everyone looks pretty clean so far as we see I'm trying to get a good exit on to the start but finally we get some racing well let's try this again then shall we seven minutes late we get racing on the way here at the Donington decider and it is Shore belt that leads the field into Red Gate corner for the first time it's a slightly less frantic running through the first sequence of corners than we were expecting which possibly is for the best all things considered out of the right-hander they go no change of position that within the gt3 ranks at least GT for looks to be fairly static as well everybody minding their P's and Q's but now we'll start to see who has the pace who has the ability to move forward what effect does that have on championship contenders and know immediately not one of our title contenders sounds a hard under a little bit of pressure here from Richard Neary in the team have a racing Mercedes 69 Lamborghini that arrives here third place in the champ Beach it currently occupies seventh place which is the spot from which get started switch up the inside battery powered that's our silver cup Bentley going past a pro-am we have driver in at moments Aston Martin so we expect the silver cup cars to have the edge in a way in this first part of the race so clean star Joe and freek eventually they're heading out to the loop now and already off getting away yeah I think bounce probably on the biggest movies but also this BMW number 9 fender looks pretty happy here he looks like one he could maybe move forward from that position looks like the race is gonna be dictated by Palin's pace now in second place that's the bunching up that's already happening lock you behind we knows quick maybe a little bit aggressive sometimes so buttons gonna have to short way that up does he try to defend for blocking that silver a Mercedes or does he let him go but that Davidson's our next car behind them there's so much stress on a driver right now can only try to explain how many scenarios you're going through your head and then you add in you've got the Pittsburgh radio so the engineer will pipe up we're some normally useless information just to put you off your stride as well we see f1 drivers shouting their engineers they don't talk to me so you can imagine as an amateur when someone's talking to on the radio what a distraction it can be as we see loggy run wide that would be an illegal truck limit so the interesting to see how rates controlled police this early on with the warnings given not one we're such tire can go over a white line or red and white card for guys watching so if it's green you're not allowed on it grass or concrete well the log e takes to the curb of coppers decide who does seem to be rather on the back foot here he doesn't appear to have the pace of log e dates and angers spread into behind don't like Paul dropping back slightly now in the second century motorsport BMW onto the brakes through the chicane avoid director cell barrier on the inside line or on board now with the car the second place in the points Graham Davidson it's got a grand staff you need a key gone me and lucky go on have a go have a go go for and he's looking at the inside line didn't shut the door but now through comes Davidson as well and immediately the championship starts to twist and turn out all the fights back there's almost contact edy just about manages to fend off the Aston Martin that was significant he could afford to lose one place but he didn't really want to let that 47 car get through to the point you were making he can't let that car get away can everyone did everything perfectly there great move by loggy good awareness from Balan and a good opportunity stick positioning of his car by Davidson did everything right that so again that's something they hear we had to just breathe and relax knowing that he's okay he's got to follow logic now he's got to go if that car in front could do that I could do that because where's my hope he's gone he's out of the old hairpin already plus at a four second lead within two laps so we need some pace from Alan here if he's gonna be able to keep this championship his destiny I think absolutely and don't forget that McLaren out in front has a 15 second time penalty serve at the pit stop sweets already as joe said over four seconds clear but now the championship battle starts to intensify these are the top two cars in the championship the 72 Lamborghini and the 47 Aston Martin it's winner takes all if they finish inside the top two positions and the Aston Martin looks for quicker but of course Davidson's got pressure now do you let them to go and let him deal with ballad or does Davidson want to be in control of this situation for him really let him go and let him be your wedge droid from the door he tried it with log E but maybe you can try the same thing with fender but be a bit closer obviously any contact between these two is pretty random who gets penalized if if games who wants to hit bad and both of them could be out or one or the other so yeah I would rather let someone else do my my leg work for me and then this instant offenders not in the championship so why not let it go and let him do the work for you then Davidson's looking pretty aggressive you can see him flushing his headlights there's a button on the steering wheel that does that for him it's not him given it the quick one with the wrists you see he looks so relaxed when only on board as he went onto the back straight and he looked really chilled so chilled you can see his hands just going through the motions then we said yellow flag out a wrecking of the BMW m4 GT four cars while they looked severe so I think that that's the car that we had problems on the first apps maybe that's got an underlying issue they're not probably out for the race if the Marshalls could recover it if life snatch so life snatches when they can bring a tractor onto the track and just recover the car under local yellow so we don't have to go to the safety car so we keep the green flag racing going but a year to forget the century so Frank is friendly quite a lot to get them their first victory of the year may have a wooden ietting gt3 or gt3 tee for challenges starting to fall by the wayside already but this is the view of the first of the two gt3 century boats sport BMWs and defender has his teammate Dominic Paul who is an admin driver remember but he's very much staying with the cars in front because they're starting to trip over each other a little bit now stay Woodson is defending from Fender and probably enough not doing what we suggested and letting it go he started to lose took sweet atom balance slightly this is not really in the game plan for Davidson where we see the BMW tied for the inside it's available yes we do and to spend a late on the brakes and David surd leave him just you're not through he doesn't want to let both BMWs go and he played that nicely Fender goes through into fourth position then and now Davidson needs to try and latch on to the rear bumper of that be able to believe follow it back onto the tail of the Lamborghini and hopefully follow it through if a roof is made see something to have here catching up as well he's a bit of a sleeping beast in this championship battle he's the first car that if he wins doesn't automatically win the championship if they were to win today is only Balan and kina could stop them by finishing second so these guys we've seen serious patient to hard this year to be really impressive super super far so he can afford to sit here for a little while that he's got in the front foot and starts clear some of these guys if they're going to look for a championship in my opinion yeah because don't forget the two Lamborghinis are not the same strategy if you like neither of them have a pit-stop penalty so that's a straight race and there is quite a bit of real estate between the two of them except the cars separating them at the moment so it would play into that have two hands hands if the 72 car would start losing places which may start to happen soon because I understand it is really hit me as we speak on this lap alone in the first sector he was a tenth quicker but in the second sector I'll say that BMW is going even faster this is a circuit that should suit the BMW it's good in a straight lines but a good print aim to high speed corners as well an actor Specter is a silver-gray lead driver and he's starting now to flex those muscles and close in on our championship leader in front doesn't know like Davidson's got the place to stay with Milan or thunder at the moment as we cut to the GT for battle not much is changing the starting order here still the Audi is leading from the 97 Aston from pointed in the hhc 57 cars we see there so championship wise at the moment this is still coming in hands championship but they do have that 10 second pit stop penalty from the Brands Hatch podium at the last one you can see looks like the the cork in the bottom of this one and the 15 guy was also in the championship battle here and that's the first car highest in the JumpShip we have a power pitstop penalty so he's got a pretty good box seat here you can kind of afford to sit here at the moment see how this all pans out one thing we haven't touched on yet is how these cars are transformed over there our stint as the fuel burns off as the tires get older as the brakes degrade which one of them actually gets faster relatively as we see mark farmer doing unfortunately what we've seen a lot of him this year and that new aston martin him and that car of not Gerald at all and that has pretty much gone back to his natural habitat of the grass at the moment we saw that Arlington round here similar problems I'd imagine he's gotten the throttle a little bit too early out of the last corner just looped around on him the traction controls not saved him very slow pulling away hopefully it's just slightly over fuel and it's just clearing itself out now but he's at a torrid torrid time as we see Rick Parfitt very slow in the background as well in the middle of the GT Falls and his gt3 badly I know he's been promoting the balance of performance this weekend but maybe it's quicker than a gt40 yes so one suspects he's had a moment somewhere as well some our farmer actually crashed that car in testing a week or two ago that corner as well so he's not had a good time with the final turns Donington Park there then it's Scott Maxwell the Carvey shares with said prio number 15 car third in the championship as Joe was saying doesn't have a pit stop penalty as long as he stayed within 10 seconds of the 97 car the second at the moment then they should come out in theory ahead of their big rivals after the pit stops well that's still about 44 minutes away and right now he's looking at gaining some ground right away because the 57 hhc motorsport McLaren is rather struggling there Rick parfait after his mystery to these hairs the early stages of the race as Maxwell pulls up alongside the 95 car now this is Patrick Kimmel he's trying to overtake Patrick is not in the championship hood but his teammate is so there is some extra impetus here to keep the Mustang behind which he does for now McLaren versus Aston Martin versus Ford Mustang Atmel the Bentley have Rick par Veet flashing his lights looking to try and come through does this maybe open up an opportunity for Maxwell to take advantage well not immediately because the Bentley passes him and splits the GT for competitors that's are being over the next corner he presumably will go to the inside of Patrick kibble no he backs out of it actually said everything Rick's particularly happy with the way that cars happening at the moment actually slower through the final corner than the GT for cars around him so unfortunately despite the fact that the season started so well for junior and they wouldn't that first race of the season at Oulton Park they haven't really have to pace particularly in the second half of the season to repeat that sort of result we're not catching on the video because there's no need to ensure valve space every lap I've seen these being a second faster than the the second-place locky car nine laps is nine seconds ahead so that pace is really really what they need to try and return that 15-second penalty and at the moment he's well on course to get Rob Bell the car in the lead even after that 15-second stop so that McLaren is absolutely flying they need to just capitalize on that and keep going I was speaking with Rob battle before the race and he has a set of new tires as well so not everyone will benefit from that so a certain new tires will probably give them about five seconds of a pump on those first few laps I'd say yes don't forget if they win the race mathematically they could win the title but it all depends what happens to the other championship contenders and here is one of them then Adam Balan still defending this third position they're already started to catch the back of the GT for crane though that is the Porsche Cayman not exactly leaping out about imbalance whale at meaty slow out of the old hairpin and Angus fender has his best opportunity for quite a while to try and attack panel sees it coming goes to the inside of a claims offender central gets the outside instead but there's no way through that's the dirty side of the road and there is quicker but this is now bringing crate a bazillion to play for a couple of laps there was able to take a bit of a breath and take stock of the situation but now the pressure is ramped back up again yeah just one gt4 car not doing anything particularly wrong but just lost momentum about it and that is what we're gonna see a lot of now so the first 15 minutes you know interrupted or for Eddy GT for but now they're just gonna catch two or three every single lap for the next one hour for 12 minutes we see fender get down the inside Marlin just needs to let go cons try and a good exit not let Davidson get a run on it and then carry back on so that's really free that that's chicane there's a quick left quick right and it's the confidence to carry that speed that the silver rated driver their fender has over the bronze drivers just got passed in balance so the BMW moves into third position will watch his pace with interest at saving gaff tree and Loki that see if he fends off he's actually having a go again past him now pushed up this from Bobby's not giving it up hey Lisa tuck it though because he's leaving himself very open to Davidson getting his nose down the inside into red cake there there is the danger though reason that the Balam could get too tentative here and if you start not trying at all when some time mistakes can happen KTM to put a lap on now down to the old head this could get interesting here but was gonna catch him at a really awkward curve to that car but that was a very very scary God leads the championship but it's let's throw one of its nearest rivals its other big rival is the 69 car right behind others escort we settle there isn't it between 1672 after the battle between their Pro drivers last time out of Brands Hatch and Adam Alon is under all sorts of pressure here something look to the insider to get a good job they're getting out of the way that was a desperate luncheon on that Jack Jack had every right to turn it on it that bad he just needs to regroup and take it there let's commentators car things weird I predicted that and I saw it coming the KTM just didn't see it at all it couldn't go left because the KTM was at the apex there's no space he didn't want to lift it was just wrong place wrong time wrong track for power I don't know what my lab has done to bar well to get this cursed at Donington but I've never seen a stronger curse to anyone well now the two barbell cars are together so remember that I'm saying there's quite a gap between these two a few laps ago well now they are together and this could become the championship after the pit stops because they both should stay together now after those pit stops are served Adam not looking quite as calm and relaxed now at the wheel of the 72 Lamborghini but all is not lost they know the 47 got this penalty deserved but some de hann now he's not gonna let his teammate off the hook he needs to attack here and try and get ahead because this is a straight fight and 69 really need to get a couple of cars between themselves and their sister car optima claims they go bow on defends the inside sometime gonna go right on the outside sports our heart is that next to be this is no rocky stop this man teammates that don't like each other you can tell from the body language of both cars that they do not care that they're teammates this couldn't be better for Davidson he is gone and he is off the road and this is exactly what he needs is he's got the the safeguarding of his teammate open it and these two teammates in my opinion I'm not looking to help each other I talk because I don't need to I think this will be the run that we see to Hank get past how hard he's probably gonna squeeze him by man's only chance is probably break a little bit earlier and look to get a cutback down the inside which would be the outside though for the next corner and near he's on the back of them as well so you just need to chill we need to just follow the hack now the championship is still possible but you cannot afford to lose a place like that and through comes Richard knee area not far behind is Ryan Ratcliffe and still the graded driver it's all starting to go wrong for the number 72 car because not only are they using Graf 247 but also their team made car which looks as though it's got decent pace at this stage of the race there it amongst the GT for traffic once again and the I said this was gonna be a tense two hours of racing we're not even 25 minutes in yet and the intensity is ratcheting up and up so there is your fourth place Aston Martin in the fifth place BMW that's great Davidson ahead of Dominic Paul Dominic Paul on the previous lap was only a tenth quicker so Davidson's reasonably secure in fourth place critically though the critical gap here is Davidson to Balor all teams to have I guess now and that gap is up near six seconds already the Aston Martin's pit stop will be 20 seconds longer than Lamborghini that's the goal isn't it he's got 37 minutes to make that seven a 24 22 second gap and give Johnny Adam the track position when he jumps in the car major Op yeah exactly that as we see Davidson seems to have being pretty lucky with every gt4 car traffic-wise catching them on the straights a free overtake there's no time loss there's also a lot of GT for us to Martin so although they're not the same team they're the same brand and Aston Martin do a really good job their junior drivers have a lot of them on the on the on the grid and if they're good to be helping their GT through potential championship winner the matter obviously scored some kudos points within the brand so potentially maybe being in the Aston helps rather than the Lambo which has got no gt4 equipment look how much time bunin's lost in another place now as nice Mike like Oh in another Lamborghini as well which is interesting it looks lost up there I don't know if he's got damage from that contact the KTM burr we're looking at lap times from him now that have three to four seconds slower than his best and that's just hemorrhaging time he's lost 25 seconds so we need to try and work out if Barnes got any damage and I've bar woke give us any information on that this is unraveling he would have liked he's already nearly ten seconds behind grave Davidson he was in fourth position and with that latest loss of place to my glyco Adam Palin is now down into tenth if he drops any lower than 10 P won't score any points only the top ten finishers will score points at the end of the race a word to Michael I go that we saw him putting a really good performance here a few months ago at the first Darlington round of the season and he's looking quick again now he's catching this little gaggle of cars now this is the next swing of momentum easily because the 69 car was looking stronger Apple to ago now all of a sudden richard near my rack me that Ryan I've arrived on some two hands tail and the fiber sixth position is now very much a three-way affair they've got a McLaren GT for in front which is going to delay sound too handsome ear he might get a bit of a run here on the Maroney into the Melbourne hairpin but Ratcliffe it's quicker than the pair of them and doesn't really want to hang around here because that Bentley has not been all that strong this weekend he wants to make hay whilst he has got the pace to to move up the order yeah exactly the silver penalty the extra weight trying to even them out but yeah he's got to try and get that car higher up if they're gonna want a podium overall it looks like the silver penalty here is probably a bit too strong we saw the silver optimum Aston Martin win its par but I think with a big braking zones in Sector three here for the hairpins the extra weight that they carries too much and them to be real contenders are we see the area space looks strong and that's a good move if we can get it stopped he's a bit wider to handle probably getting back on exit but he's lined up a blue there so maybe you can refine that over the next two laps to make that one stick but let's say clearly space is looking really really good he's come on leaps and bounds this year really really nice guy out of the car pretty fierce in it he's been racing that car with its son as well in other championships in the UK this years we may see two near he's on the grid in the relatively near future than before Karin just about sees the Mercedes coming therefore the other side the Beverly appears of Ryan Ratcliffe of sideways BMW in front of Sam's are hard and right right back on their tail again imagine being a GT poor driver in this situation there because you're minding your own business our sideways moment for Richard Neary almost collects the GT for BMW hand the ride with Bentley Ratcliffe in the end is the big beneficiary there he moves up into seventh position now that in a way was a really good news for Sam deham because now the next car behind him is the silver cooked Bentley of Ryan Ratcliffe but yeah this is all getting very very tense indeed Ratcliffe flashing the lights at him nearly being caught by go as well okay got under braking again see that a few times this year in power fit as well and Morris all these cars have abs so that should be physically impossible to lock up so when you hit the brake too hard for the adhesion the tire and the brake system can do the system should kick in to keep that wheel in momentum a bit like if you're driving on the road I'm not paying attention god it's all kicking off this should stop you from locking up which allows you to turn and brake at the same time but we saw a fair amount of tire smoke from that Bentley so potentially they've got a problem with that ABS system speaking of the silver graded Aston Martin the woman spa of Olly Wilkinson Bradley Ellis they are the latest car to have got ahead of atom balance eased out of the points now into eleventh position so obviously there's a long way to go and he could get back into the points but right now he's in 11th position Michael I go getting boxed out there by McLaren Richard Berry's all over the curves you could tell it's the last day of school guarded because these drivers that aren't in the championship fight just want to win or a podium or just something positive to end their season on they don't really care about what's gonna go on over happen Richard Neary not particularly taking work notice of his breaking point even though he's out break himself again into McClane's got nothing to lose in a way they don't want a crash but they can be more aggressive with these championship contenders knowing that they have to finish the race they may be bit more lenient care sort of an attitude to it also the GT for traffic they get really really bullied here at the moment the GT Falls I've did a lot of work to not crash into the gt3 super some pretty audacious moves on him and you said can you imagine meeting a GT four car I can't I've done it for so many years in the GT four I should be able to but it looks so so front frantic out there today as we see the gap in the gt3 battle that is obviously the leaders of GT for but can't even see that the valve car is gone as long a gets past Williams that batter looks like it's sort of start to organically grow quite well between Williams and Canon cunning in that Aston Martin championship leading car capturing Williams not really I'm bothered about winning the race as long as it's in that position it will win the championship as we also see our first truck limit warnings started to come out car number 77 which is relatively far down the order so it shouldn't affect it too much but yeah it's definitely gonna be interesting art my prediction at the moment is it gonna be contact between gt3 le GT for car and it's gonna be the gt3 car asking too much of the four car the GT falls are doing a lot of work at the moment to stay clean and make this race stay green at the moment in my opinion many of whom of course are in their own championship battles as well such the 15 Mustang they just went to lap down there had a bit of a look there are the various gaps through the order this is a gap that's come down very rapid to try and take sixth position away here down the exhibition straight they've got the number 95 car in front which is the third-place GT for car of Patrick Kimmel and as Joe mentioned the top two in GT for getting themselves right together but the 97 car has already built up about a seven and a half second lead over its teammate car and he's about ten seconds clear of the number 15 Aston Martin and their pit stop was going to be 10 seconds longer than their so that's gonna be mighty close for the GT for lead and both of those drivers our cars I should say fighting for the championship into God asks their gt3 car starting to get themselves back together because Richard near he has now regrouped a little bit has Johnny Cocker watching on anxiously from the pit lane and Joe this is a question I always ask drivers when they're stuck next to me what is worse would you rather be the sand hand in this situation with all of the pressure on your shoulders or the Johnny Cocker watching on helplessly from the pit garage [Music] so so have been really really difficult to get that and it's I would always rather be in the car for sure there's one way you just can't control our boys yeah absolutely so the rocker and the rest of the bar well squad I'm sure sitting there thinking what what do we have to do to win this championship because even though things are looking marginally better for 69 they are still at seven or eight seconds behind ground Davidson putting faired as their long hemorrhaging time like they were they thought the previous like about a second and a half quicker than sat down that may well have been traffic induced with generally speaking he is capable of matching the pace of the number 47 Aston Martin up the road who's to say the investigation Expo so for me it is a racing incident I don't think anyone was at fault although the KTM was pretty badly off in terms of off track and also it's time loss but don't think Balon did anything particularly wrong in any instance of that move so I think that we put down as a race and it's too personally well let's hope so we certainly don't want penalties to come in and affect this championship battle but we're so enjoying there is why Ratcliffe then back out of God arts corner seventh place still belongs to the Bentley at the front of the field by the way Shawn barbers do everything he needed to he's now 17 seconds clear of anybody else so that will now nullify this 15 second success penalty he has to serve so all be equal they should still come out as the race leader's they must win to have any chance of winning the title and with the 72 car after the points of the pen that's actually starting to look a little bit more realistic here Loki is second 1.7 seconds per Magnus fender who is Graham Davidson to further 2.6 seconds back if not gaining hugely on the BMW in front would be secondly the BMWs a further 6.8 behind him then this card we aren't on board with now Sam Department of a 69 Lamborghini who has fairly clear Road in front of him but behind him why Ratcliffe was only half a second back at the start of the lap in the fourth sector II took a look at 2/10 out of him so somewhere a few inches behind this car is a very hungry Bentley looking to try and move through into sixth position no seats under hand quite positive and aggressive of his hand in puts there compared to Palin he's very much feeling the grip of the car wiggling his hands which is it not a slow we're driving if it can work the tires a little bit harder than if you're nice and smooth of it you watch some guys particularly in Formula One over the years Jetson barn familles to smooth this guy always so good on the car so so delicate has received pollen so I found with so much space unfortunate Jones is only getting into the race now I believe that's being a long long drop by the tea party boys that you managed to get that car repaired so no points on day for those guys but probably just a bit of fun for Nick and it's got my opening that wonders yeah somehow short valve has found all of the space at Donington Park you must have read into that privately because can't see a car behind them or in front which is amazing and you don't get to see this car absolutely beautiful between 720's gt3 no in house now by us at McLaren Robert see it and it's so flat when you see them hit the brakes here the cars isn't ready pitch so their car stays balanced for the driver there's no feeling of the grip transferring front to rear which gives you the confidence just to lock the car in and carry all of that speed and it's pretty good noise as well I think for a v8 turbo I think the guys back in Woking did a good job with the exhaust system and this has been half a lap of absolutely I've just got the throttle kick the rear round it's gonna be an 18th second lead at this so yeah where these 15 second penalty Rob should be next in the pit lane with three seconds in his pocket and he's still a nearly half his stick to go and that's the gap to second so finish the leader and we still got two corners to go with log E and this Ram car so yeah and imagine sean is having a very nice Sunday afternoon low key on previous line was quicker than Angus fender which is impressive so Loki is certainly not racing himself here in second position for rat racing they haven't done a full season they missed the spectre-2 round I seem to recall having a big accident at Oulton Park unfortunately started there see he's not for the worst possible wait they were leading that race at the time though so we know they've got good speed the Mercedes does seem strong here as well this weekend we've seen the pace from Richard here a bit further down the order as well and that he had Lobby a huge and experienced driver in second place thereby 2.9 seconds Graham David's not the previous lap was a bit quicker than Angus fender this meanwhile is your fight for the lead in GT 4 and for Tom coming in the 97 Aston Martin it's not a race that he needs to win he's doing everything he needs to you right now actually pulling away from his big title rivals further back but if you can find a way past Richard Williams in the stellar performance LD then I'm sure he will go for it right now though these two seem content to almost work together didn't seem to be any huge pace advantage either way but they are continuing to stretch the margin over the rest of the field yeah I think kalons mindful probably of his 10-second penalty at the moment he's 8 seconds ahead of the third-place GT 4 car of kibble so that's not a disaster in kibbles his teammate as well so I think at the moment he's in the driving seat for sure for the championship of GT for if things stay like this the interesting one at the moment is trying to work out in my head is what will happen if a safety car comes out at this moment in time who's the biggest winner and loser for sure gt3 buff is the biggest loser because he loses 18 second penalty the biggest women have probably be bothered although it wouldn't improve his position of 11th it would give Fokine a hell of a lot of an easier job to get rid of all the deficits all the way up to first place which probably add up to about 45 seconds there's no way unfortunately Phil is 45 seconds quicker than Rob ban in that pile of car so yeah I think that's the winners and losers at gt3 if there if there were to be a safety car as we see Balan passing to get through here we've had a question on on Twitter from Danny Austin's end do we think that the real right is damaged on the balfe car can see the logic where there so it looks slightly askew to me it looks okay the only thing that could have happened potentially of that damage with it the khm is of a steering track or arm on the rear gets bent so the car could have to tow out so basically the rear wheel should effectively point straight but maybe they're pointing outwards slightly which would give the car a bit more oversteer particularly around left handers but to me the car looks to be handling okay it just looked like bad and lost his rhythm in my opinion he's back in for the 29 s now his last lap time was a twenty nine eight which is comparable ish with the cars in and around this battle but that leaves behind goes a very very determined Andrew Hale he's gonna lose the place again on the exit I think this is a fight that I don't belong could do without decisively chops across the roads of the beach team car though again another example of how that could have gone horribly wrong with it wouldn't really even have them's fault but after how a perfectly titled to fighting for this eleventh position and refitting this petition himself before of course trying to championship merely to the fire the race you think maybe of all people out there he might show Adam some respect but he's out there for himself hasn't been a great year makes what a good result yeah it's sort what can a former bullying really once you know something's in the championship hot you can drive so aggressive to him and just put the problem on their lap like when someone's got phobia for someone's I don't scared of mayonnaise and you can chase him around the room just with a jar of mayonnaise you're the boss of what you want to do it at the moment unfortunately for the championship contender of butter that is what is happening to him he is getting bullied out of the park and it's not his fault if they potentially have an instant but the net result is the same as we go into the hive of bar well mark lemma looking happy for some reason I wouldn't really know what I'd be like what little Harry's got left out I think if I was in his position we're going to see a black warning flag would be told for the 42 band degree for four track limits infringement which is always good when we're going to be racing first day of a half an hour now we are ticking down towards the pit stop window but it's still a little way away the minimum driver time for GT 360 two minutes so the pit stop window essentially opens two minutes into the second hour for gt3 for GT for it opens four minutes earlier than that so that opens two minutes before the halfway mark for GT for that's where we can start seeing those cars coming to the pit lane for their mandatory stops and drive a change refueling change of tires etc etc so hundred how they continue to apply the pressure here - Adam bow on whose drop now as Joe was saying 55 seconds off the race lead critically though I don't think he's 20 seconds behind Graham Davidson just yet it's touch and go but I think he is still in a position where he would potentially have that car over to Phil key front of the 47 Aston Martin but that now is almost becoming the least of their problems really speaking of the 47 Aston Martin Graham Davidson just did a personal best lab and gained on Angus fender in front and again on the next lap so the third position Graham Davidson catching the silver cup BMW in front of him whilst their big rivals the 72 Lamborghini look as though they may be about to lose the position there to Andrew Howard down to the hairpin while he Wilkins and also starting to Jordan in the foot he's catching Mike like a putt been developing in gt3 as they've got themselves back it's a clean air for a couple of laps they've lap the entire GT for Qatar field once now and I'll starting to do so for a second time actually in the case of some of the leaders and their race winner a spa they're in the same position as the McLaren in that if they don't win the race the car with the title and right now he's looking a lot more likely to be a McLaren Tiger birth adopter motorsport Aston Martin title because Wilkinson whilst he is improving his paces stuff down in 10th position at the moment when I go less than a second in front of him but front me while fender davidson matching each other in the first sector so be nice to see that battle because of that grab Davidson is starting now to apply the pressure to the BMW front which has at times Joe this season seemed to struggle on its tires a little cuts that in a moment though because I drew Howard's well any explanation for that Geoff clue maybe destructed trying to distract by weaving and end up destruction himself maybe saw a good place to sell some ice cream HD drivers was thinking there well you know one thing I'm just thinking out loud and I'm very McLaren biased but actually if we're thinking about the bowel health championship so we need Pradhan to finish nine for lower possible Davidson to finish seven for lower possible of the twenty second penalty to Hannon Cocker to finish before low possible it's a long long shot but for me ruling them out early doors and telling Rob there's no way they're gonna win the championship actually the way this race is transpired so far there's an outside chance now I'd say that the deficit of possibilities be half anyway I definitely throw a tenner on it now if bet365 for British Beauty Betty do anything to prove you wrong roads he robbed so haven't told him he's not gonna win it he's probably the last bit of firing up that he needed to go out there and do just that he's 19 seconds player of anybody else now but you're absolutely right the moment they would be champions potentially but of course we've got the pit stops and another era 90 minutes racing to shake out what we spotted Jack there's a lot of smoke I'm not just dust at the old habit that's what I'm someone is out of spin and you managed to to not catch it but it's easy to run wide at the bottom the old have been first gear very fast about 100 mile an hour entry into that if you drop a wheel Makara also use grip of a loaded side and spit you off to the right and that's where we see a lot of contact with cars spinning across the track collecting cars that are already on circuit but seeing Vigo and wilkinson get a bit closer than at the battle here I didn't think I was gonna have a bit more pace of this we've seen his teammate tennis lead be absolutely ballistic this year in British GT say even in that position that car could potentially climb myself up and be knocking on the podium by the end of this race I think one thing we definitely seem to be seeing actually and this this affects Wilkinson to the silver cup cars in gt3 are fading as the Stig goes on there's another one that's been struggling in recent laps the number nine BMW offender and that presumably is that extra weight they have to carry it will have an effect on outright performance but also on tire wear at all three of them fender information Ratcliffe in seventh and Wilkinson in tenth have not got the pace now that they had 20 minutes ago do you think that is down to that weight yeah a hundred percent miss imagine carrying a rucksack with you you don't like to do a quick sprint you're not that much slower but if you have to do a half marathon or sewing with 50 kilos on your back you're going to start feeling that most at the end when your Energy's fully depleted the energy in this instance is the tires the brakes are just using up what grip performance they've got [Music] it's hard for each car in each circuit but recently I'd be racing in the McLaren gt3 of China we have a 50 kilo ballast at the moment for me it's losing us eight tenths to a second so I'd imagine they're probably in the same ballpark here and then that exponentially grows once the tires go off and by golf I mean they get too hot the rubber starts to wear out and they generate less grip so yeah he's gonna be fighting hard and then because you're working harder you gets more tired as driver and it all starts to quickly downward spiral DiNapoli having said that he was struggling he's actually just call tea and blondie but I think that was because of you traffic that he in court at an inopportune moment through the old head this is a second third and fourth here we're watching and in fourth position the map of these three that really needs to make the progress great Davidson commute across the line 22 and a half seconds behind the race leader so a race victory 47 is looking of lining I would hinge entirely on there being a safety car after the pit stop window preferably fairly shortly after pit stop window as far as they're concerned they're gapped back to Sam deham who has no pit stop penalty is at about 13 seconds at the moment that's not enough as I pause for a moment as the topper motorsport McLaren just about gets out of the way but he's on the grass he's gonna leave back on the road in front of Brian Davis who takes to the grass himself will he go through I don't think you're quite completely with either but that was another heart-stopping moment for one of our championship challenges as he tried I mean he had to go for it low key made the mistake there was a gap but there was a GT 4 car in the way and in fairness Davidson bailed out yes he was a hopping but it could be worse that was brave beyond belief that was nearly disaster written all over he just got the car on the track enough for that next little left king to make it but he is super aggressive here he's obviously wound up by the team I would suggest because it looks like he has got some real it but just to get past logging for me it's not that important just look a space is pretty good if you can't overtake brilliant if he can't then no was just chill they've got 15 minutes so you can give the car over to Johnny out him who would do the job that he always does the ultimate professional British GT champion so many times I think that would be my outlook at the moment of our tables yes and at the end he will have lost a bit of time on that lap the lap time for Davis the water not bad actually yeah it could have been quicker no doubt about it fender then is into second place and now that lead got the balfe may start to string but short pace is really strong still East 23 seconds now and they are 22 and a half seconds now clear of this battle second for fender third for long e fourth place for Davidson with Dominic Paul 12 point one seconds further back Adam Balog I think is now more than 20 seconds behind Greg Davidson years it's nice Oh foul on down in 11th position this stage if we had pit stops now which we're not going to but if we did the Aston Martin in theory should come out in front and it may yet get a game walk around because he's right back on the tail Racing Mercedes once he gets past this tolbert motorsport McLaren you should be able to start to apply the pressure again I think yes the board is definitely at the Aston Martin's cookies a quick car fast now they go to start the race we saw Ivan do a really really good job and I think be the quicker driver of him and able to but then we had the instant the KTM but he just completely lost his rhythm so I think once we see these cars in the hands of the pros we could sort of see a transformation of pace and back to of these cars I'd rather be Jonny out of getting into the car and from I'd rather have Phil King's Lamborghini at this moment in time that was the remaining number 42 century rates what BMW had a big moments over the curves but that had survived it he's been reeling in Dominic Paul actually have laid the gap was only three tenths of a second at the start to the lap but BMW has just stretched the margin ever so slightly to hand in turn being still harried by Ryan Ratcliffe and then the Mike like Oh Richard Neary scrap I think that's change do I go scott through actually in recent time this what happened within proper air and leak the Mercedes then we didn't know where he was gonna be joined at North Davidson affair as he finally committed before he actually knew where the Mercedes was going to end up yeah this would be a great on board from Davidson so we see loggy out there to three foot in the airs pretty strong him I think I would have lifted and just chucked up behind he had so much momentum it really worked the bravery who's 10 outta 10 but the risk element there was huge and you know we just saw obviously logging run wide no contact just probably trying to carry a bit too much speed and like I said that exit of old hairpin is very very quick so easy to make a little mistake like that and I would have thought there's any damage as we see it change to the lead so cunning has got Williams so 10 minutes until they compare or so so be interested to see if we can get that gap a little bit higher to help the gate is 10 second penalty from the guys behind it so they've had a brilliant brilliant second alpha season the TF GT for Aston Martin's and I think caning has come on leaps and bounds he's probably my driver of the second half of the season I would say pace wise and also just no mistakes be interesting to see how he got past Williams if Williams put up much of a fight or was taking the longer view that when he hands over to sell him fielding he's been rapid and out he would he be able to overall that change of position but the interesting to see how that goes for them it was really spa wasn't it where they wouldn't that the momentum properly started to shift in the favor of the 97 Aston Martin back on the podium again last time at Brands Hatch - and now they are in the lead of the class they're pulling away they were already crucially though more than ten seconds ahead of the rest of the gt4 title challenges so they again in theory are in a pretty good position now for GT for Tod months ago is GC for the kept us guessing right down to the wild I think it probably still will this year but it's between 83 where we've had most of the excitement in the first half of the race you think up really short cutting the tribe run too much in the carport turns out there takes the weight off the wheels so that you have a passenger just scientists led basically doing a hundred miles now and did well to save that for a I thought he was going to exit stage left and throw it in the gravel truck but this is all coming just a hat now that position that batter looks like Paul's car is going off a little bit you'll just get the raging on as well it seems to be a lot of these two car battles all the way down the gt3 grid that just keep going on and on all the way through brilliant rich area with a peak to the inside wall but a peak that's Collins are there with Mike like as a gap there was always likely to disappear in fairness I go by shortcuts English Gabe will maintain the position anyway so they had a run on both of them in the optimum of gt3 carb interest we get back there see how that transpires those four cars with a gt40 one of them in that mix so I think that could come out in a different order of not being near or low concern such a short front end up on the Lambo compared to them I said w it's absolutely huge a corset-y we have a week actually to get an idea of it and you just can't see nothing it's absolutely massive you see how far back the drivers sat as well in that car not far behind eva is some DeHaan who's definitely applying the pressure feels that he's a bit quicker here and indeed his recent pace would suggest that that is true through the Creina curves it's the old hair piece where to be able you had a baby speed well away from the curb this time not making that mistake again is Dominic Paul but he almost ran say why he was on the dirt a travel to the grass anyway managed to keep it together though so he stays in front of the head in fifth position now there's more traffic just as you start to settle into a rhythm there's a GT four card front field now he has no choice but to go offline in two copies corner at home compromises exit speed as it happens on that occasion the 57 hhc McLaren sort of actually held up to have more than it held up Dominic Paul so it stays as it was and they're right Ratcliffe starts to to move onto their tail as well so less than ten minutes to go before we're at the halfway mark which means that less than eight minutes to go before the GT forecast will start to pit we've got the silver pitstop penalties at GT for as well which will take on some significance for some of our championship contenders there as well so until the pit stops are done we really won't have much of the idea how GT for is going to shake out gt3 we've got a slightly better chance of figuring it out we've had a change by the layout on timing screen we can see the third-place frame Davidson's got pasty and log e that is significant men's the 47 Aston Martin he's into third position to lock it down to for that small points potentially for Davidson this though is how the GT for lead change better exit from the Altair pit that is amazing if he's going to go all the way around the outside there you'll see then inherits the inside coming into Maclean's and Greg racing by both of them and yeah as you said just who really could X out the old happen that's a fair amount of speed extra to carry out our there and keep it all clean Williams was very fair didn't fight too hard sees the bigger picture the the longer race I would say that was really really good as we go to balanar get a few tweets coming into here oswaldo saying the car looks like it's crabbing I can't see that personally I think it looks okay then lap times he's able to deliver in the clear error okay I just to get his rhythm so much that's what's hurt him and that's why so far behind he's lost though 15 seconds to ollie Wilkinson I know he's a silver driver still it's only bit about what six or seven laps or so that's a lot of time for balance to lose so if he has lost easily there he's well a true deep lost is little bit and he's a better driver than that surely it's a mental game you see I love a lot of tennis and when you see a player lose their mind that's it just hand it over straight away as we see Davidson run one thing would be interesting if possible to see the on board from Balan if the car is bent then going down the straight that he earlier have left hand down or bit a right hand down to see if that car isn't isn't true and straight but yeah I think Davidson has has done a really really good job here if he would have said to him we're gonna give you the car you're gonna come in third place second in program would you take that he would have bitten your hand off and then at that how far pollen is behind now probably forty seconds behind or so he is gonna be a very very happy Scotsman after him he's 13 seconds ahead of to have no so that's not enough at the moment so Johnny Adam will have to overtake Johnnie Cochran this rate in the second stings in order for Minh staying the time runner actually since neither of them are back likely to win the race anymore you might have to only take a couple of cars as well and get a couple of cars between them but again we'll get to that in 15 20 minutes or so what's the pit stop small shake now but David's there's now into third place he's getting away from me and Auggie as well so the Aston Martin has better pace at this stage of the race there is an incident between the team Abba racing Mercedes at the WPI motorsport Lamborghini carve 8 and 18 this the investigation we saw that position have changed hands recently with I go were going ahead of the area and in fact sneer he's been given a drive-through penalty for causing a collision he's already lost 9th position to Ollie Wilkinson but we're about to see why eyes the contact into the chicane I mean there was a gap I suppose but they fell out of it I think a little bit hard considering the positions were kept and there's no damage to that Lambo so it's not gonna be affected for the rest of the race but maybe raise control just send a message out to the rest of the guys that they're not gonna accept any contact today to make sure it's a clean fight so yes nehru is more in the wrong then I go but he's pretty strong that's going to cost him 24 seconds that really takes them out the running for anything today and significantly gains positions then for some of the the cars behind including only wilkinson and while I focus that but now but Adam Balan is still behind them so that could benefit the 72 Lamborghini potentially that would actually get them back into the point's Nereus just dive for the pit lane now so the 72 Lamborghini will now move into 10th position and should in theory gained a few more wants the pit stops giving away can see the damage on the front left corner of the Mercedes actually as a legacy of that contact that he had Chris to do we will be watching on frustrated life Aborigine we're getting out of the car and is that day done that because they can't do a driver change yet so Richard perhaps so disgusted is he with the penalty is deciding I'm going on that yeah is his toy is he can fry out the profit as far as he wants and like I said he's not gonna get a result with that drive through so of watching these cars are very expensive to while he's putting the bail so maybe you just decide you know what for the day which is a shape for an opportunity Otsuka in it yeah I cannot just stand up pretty passionate like that so I probably do the same thing well there's the on board that you wanted from Balan then no it's not the idea of you but what can you say so Australia I can't work out which one he is but the steering wheel went to dead straight so that to me tells him when he wants to go straight he points the steering wheel straight sometimes you get in the car and you have 50 degrees of left undone and that equates to straight but to me from this angle the look strength doesn't look like he's crapping everywhere and when he turns in the car looks like to be doing everything relatively normal turns in so he's at the chicane I can tell now the trueness table doesn't move like it's giving him any chip if it did have some rear damage for me it would be over steering everywhere from that right corner the body works hard to reach is a black wheel against the black part of the rear pump but doesn't give it so obvious but yeah I think and I more importantly hope it's alright so we're keen he gets in that car he's got a fair chance to give that a go and see where we could get to well and I can't wait to see Phil Keoghan to that car at about five minutes time because he's gonna be coming for a long way back they do it cat made it it's all good it's all good meet in the middle artment because we know xlvii able to lose time with their penalty it's gonna be mighty mighty close as to whether they get out in front of the 69 Lamborghini and then Phil keyed in the 72 car we'll be back what took me 25 seconds further down the road on an absolute mission so that is giving it was I think in a particularly fascinating second half of the race so remit to the halfway then for the pit stop quick note link to the gt4 car so they'll be the first ones to start diving for the pit lane that won't be too long before that starts to happen short both have just got through to start the 37th lap of the race it was particularly quick laughs of actually fastest part of the track at the moment consistently is gray of Davidson he's catching out to spend at leas quicker than the leader of the moment the gap between second or third is down to 3.2 seconds crucially I mean Davidson's escaping even further now from some of the the midfield runners with who he's fighting for a championship we see going past going past Parfitt there so that shows you what the ARCA pace the Bentley has have what circle is a place that McLaren house so I mean that day's done there a lap down now there's no way there they can they get result in that Bentley and I wonder if that cars got an underlying issue if we can find anything out from Jarrah Rev the team running that if they do have an issue that they're nursing or is that just the pace ain't going yeah - the performance is a hard thing I saw Rick on social media so promoting their their VOP that they've been given it's a thankless task and all we see an overheating gt3 this is too early to be a scheduled stop as well to be a good one oh well indeed yes and that's for the front right braking era no the exhaust system tucks into that to the sills Oh it looks like the cars cleaned in terms of not having damage it doesn't look like he's been hit which is caused it by an overheating issue for sure where there's smoke there's fire so hopefully so what does that mean well it means Sam to have moves into the top five now Adam Palin will move its a ninth place as well so he's now if we threw the checkered flag out down to score three points which could prove to be crucial come the end of the race car 97 being worn back trap limits as well that's the GT for clutch meanwhile spotted that Joe so he's pulled out a six point three second lead over Richard Williams it's not beyond the Rayleigh's possibility he might just run out of time but possibly ninety-seven could actually still come out with the gt4 lead despite the fact that they have this pit stop penalty of 10 seconds to serve that pit lane window is now open by the way for GT 4 so a star sees all those cars on the pit lane to do the gt3 cars get the track more or less to themselves there isn't usually that same sense of urgency to come in there they don't all dive for the pit lane at the same time as some of the gt3 cars do so the track won't empty out completely but they will maybe have a bit more clean air yeah the biggest second up limit one in four counting in the 97 is the car that I was at rattling it so when he gets out the car and hand gets in it and doesn't have a clean slate or track limit warnings he inherits everything that Cannings done so potentially there one penalty away from a drive-through so when hand gets in that car he's getting up to speed makes a little mistake runs wide for example that's a drive-through penalty so that is for me I think that's really interested to keep an eye on only do they have that pit stop penalty of 10 but now in my opinion they've got a strong chance to get in a pit stop penalty for truck limits as we see those GT Force come here hhc guys working hard refueling the car so they refueled first 127 3 at least as a few sorry about 105 liters of fuel in that McLaren that no do the driver change and changing four tires as a minimum pitstop time so you should see them waiting at the end they're not rushing or anything like that I'll definitely be waiting because that car has a 15-second penalty to serve the number 15 Ford Mustang you can see towards the front of the shot does not have a pit lane penalty to serve them interesting that they have left Tom coming out I think I made about the only GT for car that hasn't pitted and that means it's very very congested indeed in the pit lane and that was to teammate cars they have to pit him more or less the same place that's why sometimes you see and this what TF of Don clearly the t bring the cars he might step perhaps that's why to avoid this sort of traffic jam yeah exactly that no cheese getting square so it could be refueled so I think they're probably going to lose some time the prior machine about to jump in that car and you're seeing the stagger I'm surprised TF left 95 before their championship contending car 97 normally what the teams will do is whoever is more liked with the championship or a race earlier in the year they get priority they decide what they want far as the 97 engineer I just want that car in what the driver judge died in case there's a safety car and I think like that baby to retain the class lead let alone stay ahead of the cars fighting for a champion with him so 97 may stay out there for even more than an extra lap or so because this man Tom canning has been by far the way the fastest GT for drivers so far today and on this lap with no one around him personal bests first sector 21 0 so Tom cutting at the moment maybe there's no huge rush to get him into the pit lane gt3 cars are also enjoying the clear track now we've got personal best sector times coming in for Graham Davidson who's now only 1.3 seconds behind Angus Pender in second place but in 20 seconds time the gt3 pit stop window will open and certainly all the pro hab cars are gonna die for the pit lane pretty quickly yeah so I think we're gonna see valve Davidson log e de han I go will conserve power and Howard Parfitt all pit this lap so we're gonna have ten gt3 cars in and already congested bit late with the GT force just leaving so Ballard is probably the first gt3 that can pit the way is on track the window is now open d doesn't come in dad I call that one right that so you want to do another lap that's why I put Phil Keenan he's not quick as he that's pointless the team did but yes you're right they would have been aware I'm sure this car will come in carries all the way you know a sociopath carries on that he's got those a 27 second cushion in comes rip off it's someone got the memo so he's in and he will hand over to said Morris and said we'll go and trail around the field I suppose for best part of an hour but at least it's a bit for glorified test session before that if nothing else there's Mart farmer he I'm sure relatively sure welcome in to hand over to Nick ET but has already got a lot locked out as well that is great that he would serve heading for the pit laid he had caught I'd love about perfect because he caught fender but hadn't really started to get held up by the BMW and now heads into the pit lane anyway eat also is Ian lucky to hand over the RAM racing bfw over to caliber cloud by rapid caliper cloud this is a key pit stop there forty f-sport the number 47 car will complete his driver change it'll refuel and then sit there for twenty extra seconds where does it come out in relation to the Lamborghini at the far end of the pit lane the green and black that one number 69 which will plug it Johnny Cocker and as soon as the minimum pit stop timers gone out they will go driver check jammed the windscreen wiper box it is on the steering we're on the lap we gave you so maybe just preheating the windscreen maybe they've had to turn off the hose a plastic film on the windscreen that is like a tear off for if there's any oil or rubber so if it stays on for too long while it's dry can I cheer it that off and get caught up in it so see how well they glue that on as we see Alan getting out door closed refueling will start that so that's going to be pretty tight I wouldn't suggest as we see now that you have to refuel the car by fuel dump churn without the second car so four and a half five of those to get that full so that's quite a lot of labour work going bang off bang on bang on rather than the big fuel rig as the leader pal stop splinter space-car off you see the tree he drew doors lift up on the McLaren soon hopefully need to get that driver up before the refuel starts George just opened before we cut the grass even when he went why try to get past Lobby obviously did overheats that'd be fine we went ready to get in as soon as that last future is done we see the the 47 car still in the air even though it's done that's when we probably just to keep that heat in the tires as soon as it touches the ground that he dissipates into the floor so they drop that most probably of 10 5 seconds to go get ready to fire up now it's gonna probably be the half passed it by the time he gets down the pit lane gonna be close they were to release though because the hunters in the fast lane 19 seconds apart when they came in and that is absolutely critical for the championship because out in front of the 69 Lamborghini goes Johnny Adam and that was all because of they've last maybe five laps of Graham Davidson stint but he got some clean air he was catching hangars fender and pulling away from the 69 Lamborghini and now Johnny Kaka has to try and get on certainly has to overtake the 47 car otherwise they are going to beat them in the championship and I think wait until it's all cycles through but I think that that will be enough for 47 to win the title outright we'll see what happens when everyone's pitted but that could have been the key moment not only in the race for the championship as well yep with that we did see Johnny to slow down at the end of the pit lane their speed wise to make sure as minimum time was safe so hopefully they've gone over their allocated time if you are anything under if you are thousand for under your pit stop time you have to come stop go for that thousand for an off you go so yes it's fine margins and I think the the car controller for the 47 car would have been under pressures we see Rob power take the wheel looks like he's going to slot into some nice track position we know what good job short valve did at the start there so nice a pit stop time for them with their extra penalty as well so there they should be fine as well right there so 69 behind 47 at the moment they came into this race there are a few points behind the 47 car so it may not be enough for Johnnie Cochran simply overtake Johnnie Adam not that that's an easy task we might then have to get a few cars between them but the first priority here is to get ahead of that blue Aston Martin in front top that the two of them cops the start/finish line separates by less than one second they're fighting for sick at the moment but we're still waiting for the full pit stop secrets to shake out all he Wilkinson for example has not yet pitted a mark farmer likewise hasn't several the number two car into the pit made yet so once those two pit their lists there for my maths will possibly become the fight for fourth position Sam to ham how will have been watching on as Joey Kaka pedals the number 69 Lamborghini through the old hare bit of the hill in the first sector on this lap though Johnny Adam looks to be a fraction slow actually apparently than Johnny concur but we're talking hundreds of a second in comes the gt40 does something did leave can account noticeably longer he could have pitted 12 minutes ago or 11 a half minutes case that left him out quite a long time he will now be happening over the number 97 car there and who may not come out at the race leader but bare minimum they're gonna be second place and that puts them in a very handy position indeed as far as the GT for temperature battle is concerned say if this Porsche holds up Adam at all looks like he's gonna get hold of a little bit here Porsche tradition is always got such good traction when you've got the engine in the boot of the car when that car gets on the throttle it is squats all the weight on the rear wheels you can just accelerate out whereas obviously the Aston Martin has the engine in the front so different characteristics and IV that's let again half a second or so closer that Porsche isn't in the fight but I'm not sure if he's getting blue flags or not yet so it might be hard for him to understand where he is in the food chain in this battle yeah absolutely they have stopped I believe but he now finally gets out of the way anyway so in the end what he did do was allowed the gun to come down but he's like the both through at the same time so that wasn't net game there you'd have to say for China for Johnny Kaka confusing this may with the to Johnny's battling for position and for a championship but Johnny Adam he's the man in front at the moment then it's sixth place seventh place Johnny Cocker and into the pit lane by the way have now come our two remaining gt3 cars so Holly Wilkinson and my father have pitted so at the end of this lap we'll be able to tell you exactly what position this is forebears will conserve it in damage referred to the car then they've definitely eaten something there's not really anything to hit ground here the right to sell Barry on the left hand side so if he's hitting up the front right stunts like really well there so maybe their time gt4 but I'll just lose a little bit of fun aerodynamics if anything in terms of it just stops the airflow doing exactly what it should over splitter so maybe glad to have a bit more high speed up just a few credit cards for example looks like to me Johnny Adams got a bit more cake pace than Kaka I think the only time that gap has decreased his weapon duty for that Porsche gt3 got in the way very very slow thinking that is day done goes the pace is God that is absolutely terminal can't see anything wrong the tires the guys see straight right oh yeah yeah no hundred percent you're right there's some doesn't like it it's on right to me will not failure something not right there it's not sitting happy I think Phil's just trying to nurse that car home so he doesn't look like damage it probably looks like a an ish issue and the pitstop potentially it's not on tight let's see here so Wow first saw its first lap out first time he's loaded that right rear I think it's coincidental that's the corner had damage with the KTM or contact the KTM I think that has not been installed correctly at the pit stop you say that but he just that wasn't it out LAPI just set the personal best lap for that car so something's broken maybe rather than maybe has a legacy that seems coincidental as you say and if we can surely if the wheel wasn't on properly it would have gone straight away let's have a look we'll try get a good look now at this right rear corner the wheel you're right is not seated properly but whether that's because it wasn't fitted right or because the suspension damage so it's up so you got a wheel nut on our boys the wheel would no longer be there is whether it's the upright and I think it is the UH trike as the hub in the center that wheel is remaining in contact with the wheel so there they're saying the same story is somewhere further inboard where those wishbones will mount to the chassis to the gearbox isn't happy so it could be contact legacy it assumes it's only two laps interesting as we we've seen but that's data that his championship gone so far Wales hopes are all over to the hand and to Johnny Cochran the car but I think Johnny Adams got the pace at the moment to do it and feels done a good job at getting this all the way back he stayed out the way of everyone this is gonna be soul destroying if we could get the camera when that car stops right in that corner to see if we can see any damage if they bought a new tire Rob we know it's a wheel issue if that car goes on the dollies into the garret we know it's a suspension issue well I understand by racing drivers are superstitious people because Phil Keene every year almost comes here it's Donington Park the last round of the championship often as the championship leader or at least within touch and it just goes wrong there is something about Donington Park that doesn't seat Phil keen that doesn't see far well motorsports and even the new co-driver this year in the shape of Adam Balan unfortunately has not provided an upturn in fortune any curves disconsolately the barbell squats will it immediately head to the right rear they'll give it a shape give it a fear they can feel any play see what they're saying they've got some tours over so they look like they're gonna try and tighten something or change something you've got gum problems also let's go for a secondary guard the dollies are out so that's looking like it's going to go back in the garage you never know even just the wheel change while being enough to to stress that component a little bit more than have the contact with the KTM or whatever the problem was but you can only have four mechanics working on the car at the pit lane so they think they can do it quicker by just having four guys on it then that'd be to get it back in if it's a real toy rod it's only two bolts then it can be relatively quick they already have it measured up the size so it keeps the time correct and they've just have to bolt it off so two bolts looks like the inboard ones being done there the outboard ones already being done and then they've just we have to do a straight swap and flow it off but let's put race like this it's like a safety car they don't know that down now as we go on board with fill and yeah like you said I don't know what what he has to do do here but he cannot do anything so this is the original contact with Balan so nothing at this moment as he goes here the right rear watch where that contact his will to wheel and he just have a slide straight away and another one but it just seemed like his pace was alright for the first few laps after that but it could a week and it's just a metal component everything in a race car colin chapman at loads as he thoughts everything is just strong enough to do the job and if the job is to hit other cars and if that's enough to weaken that component and it fails later in life like he said then i think that's the most likely explanation right now so Robel leads the way if they win the race they will score 126 points which mean that 47 have to finish six they are at the moment in fourth place it all squeeze the 69 car would have to finish in fourth and they are currently fifth so right now I believe Johnny Adam and Graham Davidson would be champions however if the 69 car gets ahead of them into fourth position as long as Adam stays fifth they will still be champions so these two cars can swap positions and it would still be 47 that would be the champions the issue would be if the 47 loses and another place and at the moment they are quicker than the nearest car behind them so right now advantage to the 47 Aston Martin as far as gt3 is concerned now in GT 4 it is Alex Toth Jones that leads the way now in the number 62 Khalid I think he's picked EPO something out laps yes instead of fielding will take over the lead in the Audi there so the Audi offs Adam fielding number 29 will take over the class lead and does so now ash hand has come out in second position easy enough to tell you that the championship leaders are ahead of all of their other Championship rivals they would be champions in GT 4 at them over so we can discard GT for until something changes which no doubt it probably will it's all about gt3 and right now Jonny Adam is getting away from Johnny Cocker in the bar well Lamborghini just very quickly last comment that I'll make on the 72 car easy possible do you think there's any damage that was sustained in the contact with the KTM could have been aggravated by the pit stop because I know that they lower the cars gently as they can but as they learn top the jacks as they fit the new we're off is there any way that cool have aggravated an old injury so to speak definitely I mean the the wheel guns are super powerful they spin at 1800 rpm 900 mm do 2 metres of torque which is more totally a v10 that bikini engine produces so that stress all the way through that suspension system could definitely be the straw that broke the camel's back in this instance you know yeah it's just too much coincidence for it to happen that close to the pit stop I called it wrong I thought it was a wheel loose but it's definitely a suspension problem yeah unless there's any more contact and start a first in which we haven't seen that don't believe has happened it's got to be that set of circumstances that has unfortunately followed the bar world curse of Don's and deciders I would suggest that um DJ went and had a word with them I don't think that sensible right now but maybe even before the end of the afternoon we'll try and get you a definitive answer on that maybe off mic might be the best way to try and do that as far as the race is concerned by the way Rob Bell still leads by fifteen point one seconds over Alex for clouding around racing with her Mercedes and a Mitchell in the BMW the number nine BMW who is a silver-gray lead driver so he's losing time at the moment to Johnny out of and Johnny Cocker behind if Adam catches in there that could be an interesting situation and don't forget he was a little behind pmw wasn't it they got caught by Johnny Cochran's the end of Brands Hatch and that sort of sparked off the whole change around between the barbel cars so Jack Mitchell may yet have a part to play in all of this championship battle if khakha in theory could get past Adam and Mitchell that would give them the championship so that's the next gap we need to monitor Johnny Adam at the moment he's laughing quicker than anyone there's just a personal best lap on the previous lap more nearly quicker than anyone he wasn't quite as fast as Alex McLeod its second place but the 15 seconds at the front of the field for Rob Bell is a comfortable cushion or bow it is starting to creep down McCloud looking for his at the team's first victory the only thing I think here interestingly is I think the only way that Adam could not win the championship is by losing positions yeah the only car behind him that is going to do that is dennis lynn typing still about nine seconds behind him potentially a bit more pace but that's not gonna be what positions not enough to lose the championship nicky teams too far back Bradley Ellis has got the silver weight Haskell hasn't got the pace Morris hasn't got a peso Jonny Adam could not lose it by getting overtaken he can only lose there I think by a mistake or a failure now you're absolutely right so we at the moment or the position where Aston Martin's are going to provisionally wrap up both gt3 and gt4 titles which would be a nice moment for Aston Martin manufacturer that has played a huge part in the British GT history and they would be in a way fitting if they were to wrap up the titles in its three hooks repeats which certainly hasn't disappointed so far as far as the levels of drama and entertainment er conserved Rob Bell Bell has just completed his 49th flappy pulled away actually slightly from the Alex McLeod lap time there's ash hamman then second place for the 97 Aston Martin being cool tizzy by step three and on yes I'm a previous lap he was about half a second slower than separate about more than about six tenths slower than said Prius Emmie's 1.4 seconds behind him but I'm pretty sure right in saying that yes third place would still be enough for the 97 cast they can afford to lose that position but they won't want to lose too many more if it transpires that ash cannon doesn't have the pace of some of the GT for cars immediately behind him now and all of a sudden they're at moment reasonably comfortable position could start to look a little bit more precarious set prio is third then Josh price in the sister car is four that's good news for TF at least the next car behind the stack is a friendly car at Martin Palvin is in fifth position in GT for leading GT for pro out now Brands Hatch I was 99.9% sure they wrapped up the gt4 pro-am tight ball had MultiPlan the Calvin Fletcher apparently there are still a couple of sway in which they could lose it but certainly winning the class here this weekend would be enough to win the championship so they're looking good to wrap up at least the pro-am cycle even if their overall GT for title hopes rested on the winning race which doesn't look particularly like likely to happen at the moment here is Phil key that's interesting too Phil Keynes back out there so they fix the issue it would seem the car looks so care but his lap times unlike Phil keen has dropped outside the top 20 those who's not showing up on our timing screens breeze diving back up the hip side now some of these GT forecasts reichter possibly lap himself from from actually at this rate unfortunately his championship hopes gone but at least they've got the car working again and if needs be he maybe he could prove to be a bit of a rear gunner for his teammate if they ever fire themselves together I'll track that actually in this case be the worst scenario for bar well so you only think they can do today ready for any any reason any purpose in this race now is to help out their teammate but they can only really have out their teammate and put the under and fashion in terms of their lap down they can try back Johnny Adam up in in to Johnnie Cochran we saw a similar thing happened here in the year with the TF cars with nicotine Johnny out of China group I don't think that was I had nothing I was just clever tactics as we see Nikki team who set the fastest lap of the race my forty's down in P 11 he's got 20 seconds to find him to get up to the top 10 of catching Seth Morris so he's gonna have a long afternoon as well I think Pat's got enough pace and I think he doesn't have to worry about the Mustang behind I would just let it go and he still got eight points of the championship so he can afford to lose four more more positions as well so I think GT for as you said looks a bit karma and I think I think gt3 looks pretty calm as well really wait for some cars to bunch up we sometimes see this when the pros get in there looks very similar they don't really get many battles to start with and then we just have to wait for something to ignite and start it all off so the 47 car that comes out of the Melbourne hairpin they're in a position at the moment that would potentially give them the championship there are still thirty eight and a half minutes to go but Graham Davidson and DJ I would imagine well how is he feeling Graham oh I've had the question asked to me I want to answer it for you you're very calm but there's a real level of excitement going on as well now isn't there yeah this is what it's all about isn't it you've put so much time effort money practice training simulator time and everything works against your year yeah we've had a couple of ups but it's been really hard work just telling myself that we can't do it and keep fighting and it looks like we're in with a good chance no and I just can't believe it it's not one yet but if I could have offered you this position at this time of the race before the race you to snap my hand off with you yeah absolutely yeah it's it's been a tricky weekend the car was difficult yesterday we had an issue with the gearbox and struggling with setup we can't seem to find the clip we had last time we raced here and even last week and testing and so it's been really frustrating day last night I was almost pitch away myself - it's not gonna be a bit choppy chip it's not gonna go our way the cars be very difficult I won't get my hopes up but this morning everyone just seemed to be a lot more positive something clicked the car was good and warm up and yeah just I didn't normally drive it I just you know did do I do it was it was good that Kim came to me the car came to me as the tires go although it was unusual because having these cars are in front I couldn't catch was frustrating me normally I've got the piece to catch them so to just be content doing the lap so I was this was hard that wasn't what I didn't even want to ask while the gap was - the Lamborghinis I just kept driving and a cure when I came out of the car so okay we're in the fight so I'm just a quick one for me sometimes emotionally it's quite hard to read where you're at but you and I have chatted off-camera before and I know where you're at now this means the world to you doesn't it yes this would be my greatest passion or achievement I think you know yes I've done lots of things experience a lot of good things in life but this has been the hardest of our work to achieve something so for that to come true as we all know these races could all go to the last lap you never know until the flag stone but it's nice to be in the strong the in the hot seat very often do I enjoy the last moments Maurice but I think I'm gonna couldn't stand over there and we could watch anybody who sounds excited because I think there'll be a long time for something this mood happens again thank you talking to us appreciate it back to you guys thanks Andy well this is the fight for second place in gt4 and grave Davidson's cut all these handed over to Jovi Adam he's trying to find its way past them so this is but one of those little nervy moments that if Graham wasn't really talking to a DJ he would see happening it's probably for the best that he's not watching actually but through safely goes Tommy Adam now this is what you were saying earlier about the Mustang and the optimum GT for car that is gonna be a safety guys missing a front right I would not want to be sat there that's all hopefully that wave yellows are everyone slows down that is light on the racing line you could just squeeze past on the left but yeah drive around the Mustang he's straight out of safe cars being cooled so this is going to punch everyone up so I think the interesting fight will be Lin get past Kaka to get past an out-of-box do anything doesn't have cars to make them conquer blow enough to get better both to win the championship so to see up here I think and if that would have made Davidson a bit more excited though since anyone was calm and Adam was getting away from conquer was therefore in a good position for the championship similarly in GT four we were say well it's okay for she had to lose a position because there's no one else behind them well a safety car will of course change all of that and it was a completely necessary safety car as well it's not one of those competition course but is it we've got to cast stricken in the middle of the road what the fastest part of the track no choice but to throw a safety car this will punch every deep back together again now there may be some GT for cars in the mix and indeed there will be two cars we did the second and third base GT four cars that are separating the third fourth and fifth place GT threes but generally speaking these gaps are gonna come down Rob Bell had a nineteen plus second lead over alex McLeod bowel issues now but cloud was 20 plus seconds ahead of Mitchell Adam Akaka that will have brains as well this was just the twist in the tale have been waiting for we all felt it we all felt that this wasn't over and it certainly isn't is it yes the time deficit is written off there were a lot of GT for cars you would have thought probability-wise in that twenty second gap forms first a second second to third so yes you might have lost twenty seconds but if you've got four GT four cars between you that's probably still worth six seconds by the end of lap one by the time they've unlocked themselves got to try and work out where the GT for leader was up to in terms of where the gt3 guy was there and how many TT four cars would go a lap down now is the hard bit as we see Rob Bell start to slow down quite quickly and the safety guy has an easier job of picking them up so that GT for car there the McLaren Tolman car which I think was the five car will be the last GT 4 car on the lead battle basically the way that the safety car has gone so it was either Proctor or Smith agency which color wiper covers it had so that's the LBGT for cars rob has so those he field keep many laps down so I choose only one GT for one gt3 between him and McLeod so it's gonna be pretty tight between those charts at the end of the first lap and Phil keen who in real terms on the track was about 30 seconds or so in front of the atom and cockadoodle will not be anymore and at some point particularly if that car maybe isn't handling very well still [Music] keys teammate now admittedly there's no love lost between filler Johnnie Cochran moment but still I'm sure he'd like to see bar while win the championship that's good news though drivers out of both of the cars that were involved in this accident down at the old hairpin yeah it looks like that's Connor O'Brien just on his first podium at GT open race a few weekends ago Silverstone hold is right hip so such a big impact I don't really work out what's happened because we found damage on the front I don't know if they are students pardon and then the Mustang is here but we've got a replay coming up so we can hopefully get a bit of an understanding so unfortunate so this is going to be corner coming across the track out of control and the Mustang not knowing where joining oh nice I was a big big old impact on the side of the car I think that's why the whole wheel has come off the Mustang this was a really good angle for actually search watch the Mustang coming back it's unsighted by the three cars in front everyone else has done an amazing job to miss that so although it's a big impact I could've been out a hell of a lot worse with more cars involved you know whole wheel getting detached shows you the impact of what's going on there and it happened right in front of Alex McLeod the mothers in second place as well so thankfully they all apart from the Mustang avoided the the incident but caliber cloud sari has managed to hang on to second place and keep the car in one piece well there's Phil kinis laps down and sadly at least for that car the bar well curse struck once again and EJ I believe is down at bar well to get the thoughts of Adam Balan I am Andy I don't want to use the term bar well curse but I'm standing next to Adam and when that safety car came out he he said to me well I could have used that in my stint ya didn't have a lot of nice thing but it was got a fair amount of work to do now he needs safety car off to safety car off to safety car doesn't it's got makeup three laps in 30 minutes but you know he's pretty quick he's I mean I've seen him do stranger things in all seriousness there Adam I mean we spoke before the race things were looking good the car was looking sharp you've come to terms with the speed you know first round you were like well that's really quick then you've just managed to harness it we thought this was going to happen didn't we and then it didn't well we hoped but you know what anything happens and this shows you it's just random stuff it goes on and you can't guarantee anything I really enjoyed the beginning the race I thought was alright and then just that little tap and everything changes what happened in the change overwhelmed with the right rear tire was that their fault no no the car broke tolling Philip so it was it's coming in changes it's got a snapped obviously it fatigued during the impact understood that's how we lost the last does that have anything to do with the incident with the KTM yeah yeah it's the same side so I already imagine us exactly what happened it it was the tone it was slightly bent come with me I'll take you to a monitor we'll talk through the we'll talk through the incident to get your look we're on the screen and exciting you've got great hair well done let's let's look at the internet and just talk us through it we go yes I was it's coming up the I chose to go around the outside of the KTM but then he he didn't see me and it blocked me so going got through and then I let sighs and then he just there wasn't enough room so he came in and just that little little thing can that did it and the steering was right hand down for the entire thing which is why so slow and then obviously and the tolling as well from that flow and you were fighting the steering as well yeah exactly exactly spit me off any corner any left-hand corners were good nightmare I'm sorry I'm really sorry to see that but you'll be back right back next season good man at least there's some good news he will be back next season back to you guys well that is good news Joe because he's he is improved significantly this year hasn't he sad to had to be one of the top drivers in the championship if he's back with talking again next year guaranteed championship contender surely yeah definitely I think big step up from GT for you it was quicker than McLaren GT for last year no doubt but yeah once you do that big jump to gt3 the cars are very difficult to drive to get on top of a lot more dynamics to generate the speed in everything and then we're seen from there is a big damage on that Mustang as well so I think they're trying to just recover that suicide the track to a safe place to speed it up a little bit and be interesting to see if it's dropped much fluid we could see the marsh was doing a good job treating it just that cement dust they put down to kind of mop up the fluids but the first time you drive over that it's obviously a very dusty yeah change from a little sticky tarmac so it'd be interesting to see exactly what they'd be able to do first lap through there there'll be a huge amount of dust kicked up so vision it's not as good either but Eric another lap behind the safety car that would be good to go so far we got twenty 23 minutes of green flag racing I would suggest that cement us we're talking about so they will just put it down then they'll sweep it into the grain and the tarmac to get rid of all that oil cool and everything they got dropped out both of those cars that we saw steaming but yeah it's a sad old site for those cars they're gonna need a lot repair work there positive is it seems I got six to seven months before the next race should happen for those cars just had a fascinating conversation with our director and he was saying right well so what do we need to focus on everything that's the problem in gt3 it's all about to kick off I think because we've got this fascinating situation where you never talked to me in the race bell of McLeod's they're probably gonna set off into the distance and have their own fight for the victory with relatively little title implications there although Bell needs to win to win the championship but that's an outside back now but they've got Jack Mitchell in third position in that number by BMW a silver cooked driver in theory slower than cars around him and the cars heavy so the tires are gonna go off towards the end of the race he could start to bottle up adament Cocker and right behind them his tennis linked at the moment Adam is champion with Johnny Kaka gets past at Johnny Adam and finishes in fourth place Johnny must finish fifth so if the room is made by Kaka Adam can't afford to lose any more places the next car behind easel not the Lamborghini went it lots of our world car but we think don't we the the Dennis Lee is gonna play the game here he won't necessarily attack Johnny conquered too much but if khakha goes past Adam it's I think he's gonna have a go at Tommy Adam isn't he yep definitely Lamborghini factory driver so his masters back in Bolivia we'll expect him to do the right thing for the brand and if that is to stay behind Kaka and try to get past a pattern to win a championship then of course that is what he'll be attempting to do that is the only other option of a championship is Kaka and have to get past him I don't think has got enough pace we saw them leave very close after a pit stop so I don't see why that would have changed now after 30 minutes of this still I don't think the cars have changed enough to fully swap I make them up move even quicker than the aasta.martin so even if I throw you out make sure it may you're still not convinced I just don't think this I think I don't want Claire Mitchell and then they'll continue that battle but just a position higher of is it well I don't think the pace and the impetus from Cocker is that overall turnout position that's gt3 then Johnny Adams got it all wrapped up apparently he GT fall though but as equally as close isn't it this is on board with said pre are believers then in second position looking at them a striker position looking at the back of action handed second as things stand have this champion even if Priya gets past hand is champ people it's exactly the same situation as if gt3 if hand loses two positions one of which must be to prio their pre race champion however the difference here is the next car behind that said Priya is the 95 TS water Aston Martin so at least it is a teammate car to ash hand you would be almost served therefore that those positions will change but this brings the rest of the GT for category into play as well however the next three GT four cars are pro-am car so it's still all to play for there I think but again it both Championships now require the drivers in the box seat at the moment to lose ground don't know yeah exactly I think that's the only way it can happen I think uh I think cog has got great pace is where I think Aston Martin have done a really good job this year bringing two new cars in duty three-card the gt4 might do to to solve a championship like that is it super super impressive as we see the safety cars going to come in this lap and I just think they've also tied the Bo P right I think they've done a good job at making sure their car is strong at the midpoint to the end of the season where all the teams will gain momentum understand the car get was he rock now backing them up here the interesting thing with multi-class racing is you've got a slightly different tactic here at the gt3 yard or the GT four guys really really early and accelerate early you've got the longest time possible with the GT four car holding up the gt3 is behind him so you can kind of get a bigger jump on all of them using that GT four cars a tactical warm piece in the game of chess with bone here so the race leader then Rob Bell about to accelerate and get the race back underway with about 23 minutes left on the clock who will win the race who will win the championships what a lot of the drama does this three hundredth British GT race have to offer us in the remaining part of it drop bail then through the final corner of its lever slide there through got off possibly on some slight leak all the times but here's often you can see their immediate what jaws Bourne was talking about the gap opens up because Phil Keating first of all but that more importantly caliber cloud cannot overtake that GT for Aston Martin until they cross the line there are a couple of 34 cars that were separating Johnny Adam and Johnny conquer they now disappear at those two GT four cars are the top two in the GT for championship I mean chat which born at the moment puts embryo needs to apply the pressure and try and ideally force the 97 Aston Martin into a mistake here if a chain goes off the road and all of a sudden it all changes completely so said how many needs to get through but hope that several others do as well there is Dennis limb that he's sick racing gt3 in the red at Lamborghini he could get have a part to play in all of this needs to safely negotiate these two though goes to the outside have said prio when he go to the inside those states though I have side of the road but I chat knees walking from him he didn't want to leave this is why you didn't want to leave the door open percent Priya said we've got the inside now in two copies quarter of a second place in the race and said Priya don't goes through he's got ahead of the TF Sport Aston Martin and into second position it's not quite enough yet Phil to take the championship but that is a step in the right direction that there are more cars being driven by Pro drivers that are catching these three silver Cup cars in front so in theory party planning that number 11 Aston Martin himself is still mathematically championship contender could have pace over the cars in front now how concerned are you fractions championship hopes yeah that makes few laps will start to transpire exactly where his pace is where his head is what he's planning on doing you can now just follow pro that is the positive there's always gonna be a bit chaotic after a safety car star looks bit more dramatic everyone's bunched up but I generally think that car's got pace when you look at his best lap he's sectors of what he's already done in this thin he should have enough to go and then drive a rear gunner that should be playing the game and then the car behind that is also an Aston Martin you just hope he's got enough as we see Cocker on the back of out of traffic a team to play cocky looking like he's got going all the way around that's a long way from your very fast secretive corners a crane is it looks like the gap is head back out to probably where it was at the start so that lap before the Academy GT for car got involved that Johnny Cocker was a second and a half quick in the Johnny out upon the previous lap I'm imagining traffic have something to play in that but they're both quicker than Jack Mitchell in front so that is going to bunch together I think that's almost inevitable they will catch the BMW it's the effect man then might have on their battle indeed who else can catch them that could prove to be pivotal and when I am getting flashbacks to Brands Hatch here when Jack Mitchell was pick he caught by bar while I'm reading so we'll see what transpires over the remaining twenty minutes and there are just twenty minutes left in this one men over the hump in the road down there to reach them straight into the break you so conquer weaving around he was way too far back to attack there he's trying to create that flash of color in the mirror just try and distract John the other but that is almost impossible to do you have to imagine sort of Johnny's immense caliber and experience is not going to suddenly get scared off the road by the Lamborghini but this is certainly going to run right down to the flight I think and it will all depend on what Jack Mitchell does and how difficult he makes it for the two cars behind him when they catch him Dennis Lindh by the way is three and a half seconds behind this pair now on the previous lap he was slower but they're now in clean air it's his lap times we need to watch here as Kaka had a peek to the inside of Adam but didn't go for it Lindh is quicker linda's faster than both of them on the previous lap 8/10 up on Johnny Adam he could gather definitely definitely definitely definitely in this then what do that bikini do is it collective with WP I about to spawn at Barlow do they actually swap and let let me try to get bars Adam God can then follow through it's gonna be hard to work out what to do let's got the pace but still gonna take in four or five laps to get up there I'd say otherwise it's gonna be a long long old battle and it's gonna take a while nerd I just think Johnny Adam is mr. British GT so calm so relaxed yeah we'll see we will see indeed now this is of significance multiplayer has passed Ashe hands really gonna Josh price and he's on the tail of the 97 car this could provisionally have a real real effect on the 97 cars championship aspirations they need to finish in third position I reckon gel off balls get to me abacus out try to figure it all out I'll focus on the racing - Aston Martin's absolutely together and the number 11 car is attacking I think it's signaling his intent here flashing the lights in 97 he is not going to just sit behind for remaining 18 minutes you are right he's got finished fourth if he finishes if he will be tied on point of maximum prey oh so it will go to count back of most wins max Mario have 2 vs. cunning in a hands 1 so although they'd be joined that would grant Maxwell prio the championship joint on points oh yeah he needs to hang on to this portal position for sure yeah yes indeed so he's third at the moment fourth would do fifth would not that's my understanding of that situation so he can afford to lose one place but that is eight and then he's on the brink so again though thankfully the next card behind him is 95 his teammate with her more catching up 77 it's michael Broadhurst another pro driver number 20 the McLaren behind then is Michael O'Brien another pro driver so there are Pacey cars can we got behind the 97 Aston Martin here and I think Ashley's gonna have his on his hands full here well 'truly to try and maintain this championship advantage yeah they seal the electronic equipment helping the one of the dashes in the middle there was his Delta time so going down Creighton is he was plus half a second already off his best lap so that can't maybe he has lost a bit of pace over the end of this stint it already it's not being as quick as it can be as we see the Mustang go down the inside I want Anna HHC MacLaren's which is a lap down I believe for a bit of contact there as well that Delta top won the race logic blue box 1.2 0.3 climbing climbing as he's stuck in traffic now and that's the timer the driver stares out to see it's actually decreasing now as he gets a run on to the back straight it's like a shorter distance round but then it will gain unfortunately down the straight as his run is slightly less that hhc McLaren is a lap down so it's a championship day so and if it goes it suits yes and their team mates remember are technically still in this fight but they're a long way back so it's unlikely they will become a part of it certainly those number 58 car is not leaping out to the wage or now but making life difficult but now we've got a change on potentially between the TF Aston Martin in the beach team car because coming back now it's multi Plowman is Josh price former BTCC star and that maybe opens the door for Michael Broadhurst to turn in as well 6 GT 4 cars under a hankerchief and five of them fighting for position at about three of them fighting for a championship across the wide mako then the sky is starting to darken as well I must say though those clouds are getting more and more ominous just to add a bit of extra spice into this mix with 16 minutes left on the clock and this is how perilously close it is here for a hand if any more than two of those cars behind him get through he will lose the championship lead yeah definitely we see Dennis Lind doing his personal best lap of the race and now that deficit too cocky was only one and a half so he's half that deficit in two laps is doing a really really good job here staying with Johnny under 24 tense behind here and actually Mitchell's upped his pace so they were kind of status quo apart from Lindh at the back of that group catching so it's can be interesting to see as we see still stuck behind the hhc McLaren of Albert so this is her team you can see how father my second scoreless in front of that Porsche came and all the way in front so he's probably lost six seconds all the way up there slow it was just the way the safety car felt has put him a lap down so he's not a lap down on pace either lock down on I'd like really at some point as well you have to imagine the gt3 cars gonna catch this lot to put under the lamp on them and that I can't pay for equally nervous about it as well and I was gonna be a real spectacle probably in the last few laps of the race down into the Melbourne hairpin they come then three Aston Martin's together still boxed in behind this lapped McLaren number 58 that is not a part of this fight but is becoming a part of this fight in that he's holding up those cars behind the 97 car wash hand though at the moment still in a position to take the championship if things finish as they are now they may not finish as they are now knees desperately trying to get past this McLaren if we dare tear our eyes away for this week in hadn't down to the pit lane we're at BJ's we've tomcatting do I'm sure he's having kittens right now Andy yeah I don't know if you could see us but kids is about the right word Tommy you are really going through it emotionally right now I knew sorry could you repeat the question the question how are you feeling you you look like you're really struggling emotionally yeah it's nice in the car I was calm in the car and then but it's hard watching especially when it's this place but I mean this is what you want you want it to be this place you want it to go down maybe I don't right now over it's the way it should be and I think it's quite incredible there the car was the cars been outstanding me it's just for its his debut season and we haven't had any faults it's been TAF symbol of done such an excellent job with preparing the car and yeah I can't really ask much more is this the most nervous you've ever been in your life yeah definitely and there's a lot on the line but like I said it's more exciting this way for sure maybe not in all the right ways but yeah I think I'm just grateful for I let you relax you going well relax if you can few minutes to go but I'll leave you to it thank you for taking - appreciated some thank you these helping kids we're having kittens up here as well we're on the edge of our seats as again ash-sham trois get at the inside and can't quite do it said pre oh by the way is catching the leader in the class if said Brio gets the lead he wins the championship but on that previous lap said pre oh well with actually three tenths slower than standard fielding but on previous laps have been taking up to half a second out of him so said Priya if he can catch the outer you know the hall it then it might not matter what ash hand does even the third place would not be enough for hand to retain the championship lead so just as 12 months ago this Darlington decider is going right down to the wire in GT 4 and in GT 3 where Dennis Lind has gone past Johnny Cocker so Johnny Cochran's lost the position but is that tactical baby we've got they overtake on camera but if we have I'd like to see just how hard Johnnie Kaka made that because now he can let Lind go and he is the man that now can maybe prise the door open against Johnny Adam and Kaka may be able to take advantage yeah exactly Lynn's night the championship nothing to lose I'm sure let me give you a before image on the back of the Aston so Lind is the guy with the pace at this group at for probably suggest that Mitchell is going to start to go off a little that's gonna join the addemup the poppy was very strong and set to warden - doesn't lose any time to these guys it's set to Phooey like I said only the big stops the big acceleration zone plus it's silver silver but it's really hard so let's just try and see I think we're living is quicker that first sector doesn't seem too much in it so potentially it's gonna be in Sector three again where he is strong that let me give me good traction mid-engined the ten loads of talk coming out of the corners er Johnny just needs to be a bit closer this gap is too big if if we were to overtake Adam he's not gonna have to benefit from that port that door being forced open so he needs now deep deep his last 10 minutes of give it everything it's if he really is win it open it there's no point finishing where he is right now with where the championship I don't care if you finished second third fifth sixth it doesn't matter win or bid we say Johnny now going defensive so he's highlighted in his own mind where he thinks Lindh is strong and he's just covering those bases to your point there about the BMW though despite going in on a tight line they were still quicker than the BMW through the corner so the BMW definitely struck me in that final sector so - at the moment there is Johnny Adam who is starting our thing to get boxed in behind Jack Mitchell we're hearing that Lynn got past Cocker into the chicane we don't know whether he was left for all whether he forced the door open either way he's ahead and it doesn't look as though Kaka he's putting up much of a fight to get past him for the time being Linds doing the the door here is just eating a little bit of bumper through the slow corners just to let Johnny I don't know that he's there he doesn't care it's not to kind of force him off or to make him crash is just it's all psychological games is like flashing your headlights more forceful so we're gonna see that I think go on and on and we see that Bobby's got a big enough gap near so it's not really to play it's what's gonna happen in my mind is that Mitchell is gonna get caught in Sector three and one of the big breaks out Johnny's gonna have to check up and break early not to go in the bag and you can just send it down the inside and give the problem to Johnny out on what to do to turn in let's try and fight out this group of cars by the way 7.8 seconds ahead of Bradley Alice who's not catching them then it's said Morris who not only is back on the lead lap but in tweet lady just overtook Valentine has Chloe at the beach team Aston Martin that's been a storming recovery drive from the JR at Bentley that he's now into 8th position and could yet get a little bit further up the order doubtful what they'll catch this group goodness cuz my heart couldn't take that but they are at least on for half decent result in the last race of the season once again through the malvada loop less than ten minutes to go in our final race of the season and a kill they are there is proper contact attend Eastland we've brought the rear wheels up next to Martin off the crowds Johnnie Kaka has no choice almost put straw alongside that Iceland this is for the championship down into wreck a corner Lynn go to the outside copy to the inside caucus going through out the inside of Dennis Lynn's all about what he's gone through and Johnnie Kaka well maybe he thinks right you can't do it it's my term got less than 10 minutes to go I have to take matters into my own hands and get past the Aston Martin now because if he goes through then he can leave Johnny Apple to deal with Dennis Lynn box again the job that lived was doing I think Lin obviously hit it but probably hit him harder than he wanted because it looked to me like he hits him and then eased off the floor chill not to overtake so he's got a hole in his hands up go oh sorry but imitating that hardened make you lose that much time eight minutes remaining Johnny's got to get it done soon because he used to bring living through so he can't just do a last lunge in them as well if he's gonna win the championship but to me it just looks like Johnny's got the pace of caca but doesn't have the pace of Lin so maybe you will see that swamp background again and gets another golden bikinis get past the Astor's Martin had its the 69 car in front 69 of champions Prix slow out of the chicane and Lindh I think it's gonna get back through on the inside is he and again Kaka didn't really fight this I think he's realized his mistake possibly he lets Lindh go back through and we did another another lap or so he'd imagine that we right back on the tail of the lead the car in front feel keen by the way attacking Rob Bell all of a sudden they caught that group of GT forecastles talking about the lead gap is less than a second so calaman cloud could yet snatch the victory away from the McLaren that group of GT 4 cars including the championship contenders in GT 4 will be lapped by our gt3 contenders in the next two or three laps within the last five minutes of the race we'll have all of them absolutely together and I have no idea what that will be for any of the championships it's almost certain something will change what it is we'll find out in a couple of laps time I guess yeah to be the vanguard is a horrible job with your the first cards are open the gap through the coolers running no 210 if you catch there how you gonna overtake one I'm not disrupt and hit others it's amazing job everyone's not so far through that I don't think I've ever seen a chain of GT cars eyes closed for as long as I changed since we saw that there's a little bit of a cut to the Academy asked him but not massive so the interest to see how that all goes now what bells got massive experience he's just gotta be calm Connor MacLeod is in the nice seat as we see Johnny cockers lost a lot of time now I wonder what's happened there we see him come through the sectors must have all been in Sector two he's lost the time but there's no probably that car was a we were there championship sort of fight done yes the sector x then Johnny Cochran first sector 19 five was okay 35 3 was ok middle sector sir I'm not quite sure what's going on there he certainly lost a minute alive Dennis Lindo has reeled in Johnny Adam once again Jack Mitchell goes up the inside of one of the Tollman cars there into Goddard's happen once again then it's leavin getting a very good look at the rear bumper of the Aston Martin we got a look at the front end of the Lamborghini which closed easy with six minutes to go grey clouds still continue to move I think we hopefully will escape any rain here in the latter stages when they catch this group of GT Falls though all bets are off exactly odd let them go let them go there's such a big power behind that let's play it safe the only thing is if he did let me go in front Lincoln back give up it's a Cocker and then don't have to swap Linden Cocker before me because I've not anymore but five minutes remaining there's no way that Johnny Cochran's gonna negate that time lost to Johnny Adam in this last five minutes for me there's a lot of GT for cars but that isn't enough I don't think well let's see though because they're gonna catch the GT pause somewhere going into the last sector I think they're only just up the road we'll see for the next external shot but they're very very close T f-sport maybe have been more relaxed than they are right now at some point in the past right now they are all waiting with bated breath five minutes to go in there in the traffic so Johnny either that is caught Jack Mitchell as well in all of this because Jack Mitchell caught the traffic first then it's leaned all over the a bit of a room here and as Leon Adam Adam will go to the inside anyway a to defend B to get past the GT for traffic they all get boxed him together though and Danny slim goes around the outside of Johnny a dapper who is stuck behind the BMW Jack Mitchell there is no way through though for Dennis Lim but the intensity could not be any higher Johnny Kaka for whatever reason have dropped well-well back look he's way off in the distance he is not a part of this battle at the moment even if something did go wrong for Johnny Adam there's no guarantee the Cocker is close enough to take advantage on it you put baddies how close that miss Lynd he's getting to the 47 Aston Martin they come across the start/finish line there the fight for third place in the race is on and Johnny Adam is now sort of stuck between a rock and a hard place he's got the key behind in just about conquer is in front but I think he must be race and it's all started to unravel for the 47 Aston Martin Johnnie Cochran job so far back it fell into his lap yeah we only saw annex an internal looking back but that looked so dirty so dirty from Lind I hope that wasn't intentional because Johnny Adam is a true true gentleman if he's lost the championship through something like that if I was Dennis Lind and it's a big statement to say I would let Johnny out and go back pass the overtake is only happened because of that contact I think Johnny does have damage but it doesn't look like it's terminal he's got to stay out no matter what even if he view three or four seconds of that he'll lose more pitting since I wish I concentrated a school I think this is caca right let's go back to the a couple of laps to go Johnny Adam he's not too out of it but the car I don't think is it a hundred percent health he is down to sixth position then Johnny Cochran in fourth Johnny Adam is down to six and wrap the earliest only five seconds behind them will win this by half a point here we are 128 and a half and that will put Davidson Adam if they finish in six at 128 to do 31 take the championship so the championship as it stands is half a point which I don't know where our power points is to Johnny Kaka so we've got to watch others God is losing time hand over face like I think is damaged I'd love to see an external shock looking for the old helping to why there was contact between the front right of lived in the rear left of Johnny I defer my gut instinct is that that was pretty dirty well we will hopefully later on possibly after the race have a look at a replay of that but for now Kaka is in front linda's catching but surely won't attack him Johnny Cochran's also starting to catch the BMW Championship will deal with that in a moment what about GT for said prio is still in second place he's no longer catching the race leader and he's on a final warning for track limits is separate so in a way well you may as well keep pushing I suppose but another track of its infringement they'll get a penalty there's still though I think that we'll go to our channel owner yes and so I'm just thinking massively out here if Lin gets a penalty I didn't get the championship so it might finish on truck like this unfortunately it might go to the stewards and if Lily gets the penalty that puts in behind the other then Adam and David sooner jump you know for me that's the most keeping from one angle sort of I'm calling it early and I'm my head on the line I think it was Lin's fault the incident until we see that external shot it's very hard to tell why the contact occurred well there will be a discussion there's no doubt about it I mean there's no way that TF sport will let that slide they're gonna try and get the decision made in their favor and that's all we need isn't it for Lin to get disqualified or get given a post-race penalty to redress the situation ROM Bell is avoiding all of the drama he is just over a lap away from the race victory remember even if he warned he needed sixty nine and forty seven to finish further back than they are now I'm barely sure double Jackie but we don't think the bell to steal it from under everybody's noses no they've earned the championship rights 126 so yeah two points behind Davidson other than two and a half points behind you about two and a half points is that right yes exactly why mate right okay but less than half away from the race victory that very nearly from out of nowhere stole them the championship people still nobody the first victory for the new car the first victory flows two together if they can keep this together to the flag a brilliant achievement of bringing that car in like we said of the Aston Martin bring in a new car to any championship Targa competitive jump ship like British GT is so difficult and yeah it is so nice to finish weather with is you get up a bit earlier going to the gym if you're the arm is the one that makes you sit up at ten thousand quid on something and if you're the team is the one that makes you do a few more hours in the workshop to make sure that that car is pristine and yeah Rob can just cruise obviously the lamp over hiking is out there jumping chipping out of the race which is a shame but yeah I think we've got to wait to see what Race Control say and hopefully their Swift of their actions one way or the other so at least we know who our early as possible what the outcome is well the 300 trace in British GT history has delivered more than its fair share of drama and intrigue a championship battle that may go beyond of the checkered flag but there's no down who the checkered flag will go to it's Rob short valve who final win in the brand new McLaren a brand new started racing in the championship the staff the year it took more gear to win but they've got there in the end Kalin McLeod Arnie and lucky will come home second Jack Mitchell bottom locks of it will hang on to third Johnny Cocker provisionally about to be crowned the 2019 British GT champions they did nothing wrong let's stress that now they will come to the wide enough to wrap up the title bar well we're celebrating it will all be decided I think in a conversation post race which actually will have absolutely nothing to do with bar while both sport at all right GT for band through us already couldn't stand and fielding to winning GT for with set pre are only one and a half seconds behind but catch hand in 3rd position it's gonna bring the TF sport Aston Martin be shared with Tom canning home to finish on the podium and to win the championship in GT for a fantastic drive it was from the TF sport squad as well and a great Drive therefore having to fend off Martin Plowman where the plough had decided to play the Aston Martin game in the end I don't know but certainly early on in that room he was not he was trying to get through have to get his elbows out to fend him off you won't be surprised to hear that the incident involving cars 47 and 18 is under investigation that's Johnny Adam and Dennis Lind and that is why we can only say that this is a provisional championship for 69 car it was a penalty that may unfortunately despite the fact it wasn't their fault take it away from them yeah I think race control will probably with the severity of the implications help the penalty want to look at every angle not just our TV angles that we've got all the cars will run an onboard camera which they'll be able to see you can even if the race director really wants to look at more look at the data from the car what brake pressure for example if Lind was hitting the brakes hard and then came off the brake and the contact happened after that that would make it look a bit guilty if Johnny Adam maybe got on the brake harder and that was why the closing speed happened so we have a replay here so this is the on board from Johnny alderman it's not the closing speed so much it's it's Johnny going back to the racing line and Lin turning in it's just hard to then work out where the GT for so this is the one I want to see they're sort of moving in opposite directions aren't they Adams going left and going right the outboard definitely makes it look less suspicious of limbs hold my hands up to my early cooler than that but I think the contact occurs because it lived and the contact has led to the chocolate chip change position so what is the right thing to do that is my rhetorical question now to race control and it doesn't look good since they've already made contact as well the other story at the end often to wreck the Red Gate gravel trap went the Bradley Ellis driven Aston Martin that actually handed a position a seventh place to be precise to set Morris in the Bentley and we believe that the two of them tangled Morris had closed out a seven plus second gap went for the move John yeah cut down the inside of him quite a lot again not the easiest angle looked like he was halfway there Brad didn't want a yield and SEP didn't want to give him too much space and whenever you have the car on the outside you're always the one that goes off and rotates to the outside to us a bad way to finish me at least that wasn't so championship it Katie nothing the on board here is quite telling from Johnny he's quite a common dividual but he's very calm doesn't look like he's just won a championship does he think in the back of his mind that there's a question mark he would have had a pretty good view of what he thought there we see Davidson and Ivan having a chat looking at the damage of the rear left talking to Dennis Lind rather enthusiastically to get his point of view on it that's my team manager to make sure as we dive in there definitely the fuse of damaged bodywork damage you can probably see that bit poking out on the left-hand side the wheel arch is probably Dennis Lin's I've played off the front so if you want to do some CIA for the detective work on it you won't have to work there so yeah this is going to the steward room that is which is such a shame because we've had an amazing season it was an amazing race and it's a shame that anything in contact but unfortunately Motorsports sometimes two cars won't walk about the same bit of Road and with so much pressure in that situation there was a lapped car in the fray as well we're talking microscopic misjudgments cuz I don't for a second think that Dennis Lind purposely drove him off the road so we are talking Anna miscalculation on Dennis or Johnny's part whoever is deemed to be a fault unfortunately the ramifications are enormous as far as the championship is concerned and that's where that's where the issue will be rival as we saw there and EJ is down there with Johnny Adam and the good look Johnny we saw there was contact that's obviously changed the balance of everything what's your point of view yeah I mean obviously they were playing games behind between Dennis and Johnny and swapping positions wedges which is fear obviously we're both fighting for a championship but I got hit quite hard at Goddard's once which was safe enough to disturb the back of the car and then what happened down at the old hip and just unacceptable you know what he's another factory driver you know Dennis Lynn is a factory driver from Lamborghini and you didn't need to do it you could see how much damage we've got the car failed really get up to there there was no issue in as soon as we got him a run limp rain night so I want to fight for a championship I want to fight fairly Johnny than that but when Denis got involved it was just obvious what the game plan was and where a single a standout they are unfortunately against two Lamborghinis ones in the championship which was respectful the other one not so much in there no championship should be won or lost like that release so and we'll see I mean we definitely want to obviously go up and speak about it because they're to be shoved off and blatantly get by and then we couldn't even retaliate because there was obviously big damage to the car so it was a limp horn or but up to there was a good race really enjoyed it but not the way our championship should be lost really ok Johnny thank you obviously subject to review you might find yourselves in a happy position but no one wants to be in this situation do they nobody wants to be in this situation you know everyone knob Sitchin's and on TV wants to see a great race and it was it was an epic race but I'm yeah that's not the way to win any championship by bossy I will walk fight hard for him thanks for talking to us joining appreciate that I see if I can find Johnny Cochran he's close to us there is Johnny hello how are you doing how are you feeling oh yeah I'm not sure I mean we were we were struggling at the face behind the Austin and I could see Dennis was quick so we thought you know let Dennis have a go were you aware that Dennis had created a bit of an issue with Johnny and hit him I didn't say anything I just saw everybody kind of slow up I saw a lot of GT for traffic and then obviously everybody kind of slowed up and I was in a position to kind of make make the most of that I can imagine what everybody's kind of saying right now but you don't want to win the championship this way presumably no I mean we want to win the championship . but obviously you want to win it clean and you want to win it in a in a legitimate way and I think that I drove a race which was completely clean I did nothing wrong no you're not at fault I'm not saying you wanna know so from my point of view my consciousness is clear I don't think as far as I could see I think there was a GP for car which which held kind of everybody up and in those situations it's so easy for everybody to just stack up against each other I didn't actually see the incident I just saw everybody kind of checkup we better get to the podium but thank you we'll see we'll see whether it's celebration time all right as you can see there's a bit of confusion everyone wants a fair result we'll see what the adjudicators saying and we'll we'll get ourselves to the podium yes because we were hoping to crown a champion and a few moves that may have to wait but so anyway this is the results on the road and I use that word again provisionally it is Rob manage pulse rub out your mouth pre-show will win the race near logging Colin McLeod should be second and Angus fender educational should be sir that's all fine Johnny Cocker has time to have fourth position which if this result stands will give them the championship Michael I go and Dennis Lind in fifth may be the car that disappears from this result eventually with Graeme Davis and Johnny Adam down to sixth position at the end rick Parfitt and Seth Morris end their season with a brilliant flight back Drive which was sort of a notice because of everything else going on but they end up in seventh place Valentine has Chloe and Andrew how the beach team likewise getting to 8th position with Alex and Wilkinson classified like despite ending race in the gravel trap then Nikki team and mark Pharma round out the top-10 great Caitlin Seamus Jennings are next then the GT for cars Richard Williams and sanon fielding with their second victory of the year and that cars gonna be a force to be reckoned with next season I think so Maxwell had said prio gave it everything they had to try and steal the championship from TF sport but in the end it's a sh hand and Tom counting with their third placed finish that should be enough to wrap up the GT for title Kelvin Fletcher and Martin Plowman win pro-am elements of the race though to wrap up their part of the championships they will be pro-am champions I'm pretty sure but they just miss out at the end of the overall championship Mike Robinson Patrick Matias in round out the top five in GT 4 ahead of Josh price and Patrick kibble who lost a few places there towards the end likewise Marc Murphy to Michael brought were Broadhurst I think lost a spot in the closing stages then might blow Brian engraved and Thompson yes bank account points and Andy McDonald to round out the top 20 overall and there towards the back end of the GT four teams Adam Balan and Phil keen model a class-five 23rd in the end they did continue on their way albeit finishing six laps down from the gt3 leaders and unfortunately the bar well curse in a way appears to have stroke certainly as far as they're concerned team Park Racing's Bentley Continental also in strife early on and may round out the top 30 well regardless of what happens in the championship we do know that Rob Bell and Sean valve just won for the first time in the new McLaren and and EJ I reckon they're pretty pleased with that they are chuffed to bits they're taking some congratulations from their fellow drivers but come on in guys Robert you were confident ahead of time you were right to be feeling and look it was going great guns we we didn't come with any permutations of Championships or anything like that I was told we could win it but we weren't thinking I was just gated down and we had a good car David engineered it fantastically this weekend and I said to shoulders beginning look get your head down because we've got 15 second penalty to make up and you're gonna do it and Sean did a brilliant job brilliant you thrilled Sean I think what Rob yes I think what Rob said don't look back it was what he said just don't look back at your head down yeah I mean that the safety car start took away that that risk at the beginning so maybe that was a bit of look but still why they use it all haven't you know you get the opportunity you've got to use in I want to see you guys do a proper celebration on that podium it's time to get started so enjoy it thank you gents the presentations about to get underway then and rather subdued in a way but there are still celebrations to be had here most definitely particularly with our overall podium finishes because none of them are involved in any judicial processes Jack Mitchell then on the podium there in the BMW that he shared we've got Manikpur spender excuse me and they're the silver Cup winners as well second place for McLeod and loggy the wind finally for both motorsports McLaren it's taken them a while they missed the first round of the season remember at Oulton Park due to some underlying issues with the car but they got it back out there at Snetterton it was immediately on the patient set it and arguably robbed of a really good result there it's net but then it plugged away at it they've got quicker and quicker as the years going on Joe I know you're happy to see this happen but I think even from an unbiased point of view nice to have you with us recently winning car it wasn't exactly we've got 300 races so it's nice to share those wins all right but I think ahead of next year's great John and other car that could potentially we have races and then go for championship so we've seen the aston martin wind we've seen the lamborghini when we see the mercedes win now we're seeing the mclaren when that's another car that can take the battle and hopefully we will see more 720 gt3s next year as well as you see long gravel handing out the trophy she does a lot of hard work behind the scenes keeping all of us drivers in check so well yeah actually mega travel around yeah absolutely she does a really good job she sends me endless emails ahead of the Year events try keepers making on chocolate what's going up and the champagne sprayed then for our overall top three in the race and that is a brilliant start nice to see Angus and Jack on there as well podium yet this year sentry most 14 gt3 I'm doubting whether or not they have nowhere near as good as the old on was it I was up high but I think someone she fell off that podium it was quite badly injured so health and safety has taken the 20-foot drop away and back on terra firma though it's less of a spectacle less people can see it but you can see the relief on all the drivers two hours that patent up tore frustration rage emotion August released and then you think at about twenty twenty it's amazing how quickly a season goes century boat support half up I had a podium they've finished third at Brands Hatch last time out with the number nine car as well so that's the second podium in a row so a season that didn't start so well for century has at least ended on a slightly brighter note has knitted you know it was a new car for the team in gt3 and new drivers as well so hopefully again that's a building process the next year provisionally are your GT for champions and and Tom canning they started from Paul they finished third in the race that should be enough limb to wrap up the title said prio and Scott Maxwell well they threw everything they had in that and have been able to catch the Audi drivers that took the victory and overtake them it could have all been so different in the end though it is a second victory of the year the stellar performance is out II the number 29 car of Richard Williams and Senate fielding on the top step of the GT four podium once again as they were a Snetterton earlier on this year and they go proudly hold that trophy aloft despair to say the Audi hasn't been a car that's suited every circuit that we have visited this year but when they've been strong they've always been on a stop all they dominated that race it's nested and really were very very very rarely challenged in that way Jeff exactly the drive a pairing is so strong Williams has been upgraded for my bronze to silver pair his base so they've decided he's not there and I'm anymore and then said in fielding as quick and anything he jumps in and I think Stella have worked at that Toyota for so long have now got a car that did you reliable and they can actually start to work and develop and get faster and faster so it's good to see them interestingly the multimatic boys didn't spray the champagne there they were off quite quickly so I don't that is a championship not winning kind of Mon or a little salt maybe I think regardless say they can be they can be pretty happy can't they with what they've achieved this year we we said at start with you I wouldn't expect that Ford Mustang to be the potent combination that it was and yet it went and was straight on the pace and alter Park of all circuits that you really wouldn't think the Mustang would be well-suited to it so I think regardless in a way they can be pretty happy with how they did Steve browse by the way is man making the podium presentations here for GT for and Hodgins for overall podium now which will see a very very happy pairing of multiplayer Byrne and Calvin flat Jim you have now finally wrapped up the pro-am title in GT four and they did so in style by winning the race that's the way you want to win a championship isn't it you know when we've heard people saying in gt3 what's not how we walk Twitter can't beat you this is how you do it you win your class you stand on the top step of the podium and you win you lift that champion trophy yep exactly and good to see the programs actually doing pretty strong at the end of that one as well the safety car helping about a little bit closing the gaps and stuff but yeah it's it's being good and gonna see Calvin flexures strutting his stuff as well now in Strictly Come Dancing so his competitive season goes on yes well this should hopefully boy him up quite nicely going into his latest competition we'll see I get something in that this season he's taking a few days away from practicing his dance moves to couldn't do this racing driver thing that he's really got rather good at in recent years Calvin Fletcher who only a few years ago was a sort of with respect back marker in the BTCC in here he is champion in the GT 4 Pro Championship so we're gonna now go on to an extra podium the champions parody but except they're around there are complications here so we're gonna have the jeans exactly yes this is mr. ho with possibly end with GT for champions podiums I'm not sure we're gonna see the GT 3 jobs get up there because that incident is still under investigation and will be for some time I fear and sadly it does involve championship challenges but we can crown our GT four champions and all the back on the podium again they're barely finished spraying the first lot of champagne for Calvin Fletcher and Marty Plowman are your GT for pro-am champions in 2019 after a really really hard fought season in which they've been able to get onto the top step of the podium in pro-am on multiple occasions the GT for Champions overall Tom canning and Ashe hand they make their way onto the top of the podium as well and they didn't win the race but they did enough under incredibly high pressure circumstances to wrap up the title in style here at Donington Park and they were on the overall podium as well which was nice to see Calvin Martin getting a head start on me uncork the champagne and Calvin's got early you can forgive his excitement golly I suppose this is the biggest day in Calvin Fletcher's racing career no doubt about it yeah definitely he always seems like a good idea but then you're defenseless so actually I rather like that as I said when you put so much hard work in that little bit sweeter as it always does so I've been told well these are our champions in GT 4 of course none of them won the race the race win went the way of the stellar performance howdy squad for the second time this year and they're down there with Andy Jay they certainly are gents I mean there's been so much drama hasn't there but let's focus on the fact that you guys have just won here in the final round of British GT 2019 what a performance well yeah it was pretty much the perfect weekend so stellar have done an absolutely amazing job the cars been faultless all weekend Richard did an amazing job in qualifying him made a bit of pressure onto myself actually so and then first stint of the race he literally didn't put a foot wrong he did an amazing job brought the car back and it was the car was perfect through the whole stint yeah it's just been a faultless weekend and I can't thank the whole team enough good man Richard you told me at the very beginning of the season the secret was lots of coffee how caffeinated the you right now are pretty pumped right now yeah no I think I mean yeah it couldn't have really gone any better the stands where he said I mean we've actually the whole team I've delivered a perfect weekend right right from the day through three punches one prepares to qualifying and then into the race just unbelievable yeah so great great great result for the rest at the end of the season takes that go through the winter and into next year great stuff we'll see you next year well done guys congratulations brilliant well done so those are the GT 4 race winners but how about the GT 4 champions oh dear absolutely caked in Champagne and you've got a camera there as well hello don't know where to look now how does it feel I bet you are just well you are so terrified relax now yeah so much relief it's awesome yeah it's great to see they ask things on the pro-am championship as well I'm over the moon with our result I mean who'd have thought this after Holland Park where we scored 0 rounds and since then we've just had a really consistent yeah I've done a great job I've been pushing hard as I can oh yeah and yeah let's let's hear from ash ash you you look slightly stunned with this no I'm just stuff we made you know I mean it was it coming into the weekend we knew what we had to do and we've turned that so I couldn't be I can't be up here we did a great job all year we pushed a lot everybody asked him and the team at TF Sport everybody's just done such a good job even at last round we didn't even think we're gonna get out of the race at one point so that everybody that seems done an amazing job I'm just grateful to be winning the championship my teammate Tom in TF Sport mastermind yeah so great job that's well done go and enjoy yourself GT for Champions British GT 2019 well done excellent congratulations good stuff happy days well we I mean I how do you sum that up thankfully you don't have to well I don't and he be queuing and Joe Osborn do and guys it's been as ever incredibly eventful everything we hoped for and more I think Andy here are the highlights then of a race that started behind the safety car after a bizarre collision with some GT 4 cars on the green flag lap immediately the story was Adam Balan the championship leader losing place is hand over fist whilst there was a spin for it Parfitt at red cake corner that explains why they dropped down the order contact with a gt4 KTM of four ballon and unfortunately that would have severe consequences later on in the race he was plummeting down the order outside at the points pilot are the pit stop window opened in logging meanwhile survived a huge moment at the old hairpin bounce back on the track ray and Davidson nearly got past him and unfortunately ran onto the grass and ended up falling back behind meanwhile Tom cannon took over the GT for class lead eventually they would fall out of the lead but would at least stay far enough in front to win the title while still keen got into the 72 Lamborghini which almost instantly broke something in the right rear corner that fired him off the road speaking of being fired off the road the 95 over 35 Aston Martin was off the road - at the old hare pit bounced back into the track on what's collected heavily by the race performance Ford Mustang which brought out the races only safety car after the safety car all eyes were on the GT for battle where it was perilously close for the 1970s fourth Aston Martin Martin GT freeze Dennis Lind and Johnny Adam got personal not once but twice the second occasion down at the old hairpin sending had a wide and opening the door for Johnnie Kaka to move through into provisionally a championship winning position it was the McLaren though Bob Bell and Shawn Balfe that took the race victory in the end the first for the new McLaren whilst Kaka and de han came across the line high enough up the order to win the 2019 championship [Music]
