MAGIC MIXIES! - Does This Thing Really Work?!

hey everybody it's bunny and it's everybody's favorite day of the week the day of the week when we ask ourselves does this thing really work it has been a long time since i've done a video like that and it has been a long time since we've tested out a product like this but oh my gosh you guys i have heard that this is the hottest most wanted item for christmas i've heard that this item is on everybody's wishlist i know that it is sold out everywhere when i was looking for it you can only get it on like makari or like poshmark or ebay or on amazon but it's like third-party sellers and people are selling this thing for like 200 plus dollars i think it retails for like 65 70 anyway i wanted to test this out today just in case you have somebody that is asking for this for christmas so this is called magic mixies do you know what this is i honestly don't know what this is my best friend kat texted me about this and she told me that this is like the thing that everybody's asking she has like little cousins and this is like what they are asking for so you know what i feel like maybe i should even pull back my hair maybe you guys remember every christmas i used to try and get like the most hyped item bring it here to this channel just in case you're like a mom a dad a grandparent an aunt or an uncle or some kind of family member who is asking for these items you can actually maybe see like are they as cool as the advertisements claim that they are gonna be is it really worth it does it really work we're gonna find out today so first i want to tell you guys a tip if y'all are looking for hot sold out items hashtag not sponsored but i feel like i am the world's cheerleader for amazon international sites because i got this baby all the way from germany and it was shipped and sold directly through amazon which means it wasn't like a third-party seller and i paid just retail price for it i also found it on amazon italy i normally get everything from amazon japan but maybe this is not an item that they sell in japan here in the states at least i know we can order from pretty much every amazon international site so it might save you some time some money and some frustration if you don't want to pay you know people that are like selling it for like 200 plus dollars i feel like we have not had an item like this this hyped since hatchimals like three or four years ago and i hope that this is gonna be a vastly different experience than that because if you guys remember the hatchimals video i got a hatchimal that would not hatch so this is kind of sounding like almost the same thing but different it has 50 plus sounds and reactions like a furby i'm sure you guys can see it's like a cauldron and we have a magic wand the only thing that is kind of funny to me is there's two different color options a pink one and a blue one so i'm kind of like how do you not know like who you're gonna hatch you know because unless i'm mistaken it looks like there's a pink one and a blue one so i got the pink one so i have my makeup done all magically today you guys i think eyeshadow roots is gonna be my new thing going into 2022. i almost said 2021 but hey that year is almost over oh my god this is by moose so these are the same people that make shopkins and some other stuff we have done before let's cut it out of the cauldron trying to like carefully cut open the packaging give me just a second i'm gonna get everything out and then we're gonna read the instructions together so that it's not like a user error you know i was hoping to discover some instructions in here but there aren't any so this is all we have right now our beautiful wand lala and the cauldron i was hoping to like get some instructions before i unwrapped this plastic here but hey you can't always get what you want it does feel quite heavy and i'm noticing these like little ports or something on the side maybe that's like emergency creature evacuation then i guess we remove this layer oh my gosh okay so tons of magical accoutrements inside right on top i see this potion bottle it does have a number one on it and then the very next thing i see is stop in three different languages important information for parents when the mist is released to reveal the magic mixy plush it will have a significant fog like effect and may have a mild odor please be assured it has been extensively tested and has been assessed by multiple independent certified child safety specialists ensuring that there are no potential health and safety risks to generate the missed effect we have used vegetable glycerin which is safe for human consumption it does not contain any animal byproducts or chemical additives if you have concerns regarding this feature or if your child suffers from the instruction manual okay oh do we have to charge it you guys we might not be doing this video today you definitely have to charge the cauldron for the first time for 60 to 90 minutes right away we get a lesson in patience we are back for day two the light actually just goes off once it's fully done charging and just in case i didn't show this to you guys yesterday if you want the mist you have to make sure this little dial is switched over to the mist side if not it's in spell mode and so then it won't make the mist just in case you would like a mistless magical mixie okay so now the instructions say we basically need to take everything else out of here before we get started i'll just show you guys now it looks like we have an empty cauldron on the inside of there oh this is interesting so i'm gonna leave this sealed up they say you can use this thing over and over again by buying these little mist refills so this is nice and sealed up and that's what it says that it is so you can see there is like a liquid in there so if we wanted to use a refill you guys like scalpers are also selling the refills right now for like two and three times like the retail price this is what else was in there it's actually like a jewel case well it's like a case in the shape of a jewel so right on top this is our spell book so this tells you like what you're supposed to hear what steps you're supposed to put in here i guess there's like a very special order that you have to do everything in for yesterday when i said that the potion bottle had a number one on it that's because this is the first step and i saw that we needed to fill the bottle with water then all of these other things have numbers on them so this is a little potion bottle number three looks like stars number four is a feather if you look on the back this actually kind of looks like a bath bomb and this looks like i don't know maybe a paper or plastic feather then five and six you guys this looks like uh more bath bombs so five almost looks like a pac-man ghost six is like some kind of gemstone and seven is a magic scroll the actual instructions are a little bit more detailed than this so i'm gonna i'm gonna keep reading from this because i'm really trying to give you guys like the most details possible for each step we're gonna be listening for a tap tap tap sound we're gonna be looking for a green glowing light which i'm pretty sure is gonna be emanating from this which it's like a pinky purple color right now and then we have our wand because we're gonna be tapping three times on the side of the cauldron fill the potion bottle to the fill line which is basically at the top i don't know if you guys can see but this is full to the brim pour into the top of the cauldron the cauldron will come to life with bubbling and boiling sounds here we go you guys okay so that was one two three so now okay the orchestral sound indicates it's time to add the second dust this dust is like solid in here oh my god that looks so gross but there we go so i'm like already scared if ours is gonna work or not because they definitely show it as like a powdery dust oh okay let me get some clips down here because it is kind of fizzing [Applause] the glimmer sound and white light glimmer sound and white light oh okay the white light is down there you guys i definitely needed like an additional camera angle down here okay so that means it's time to add step three which is the glimmer star it definitely does look just like a bath bomb adding the glimmer star oh no okay oh okay so it says stir with your wand to help it dissolve and then once again we're tapping [Music] y'all i guess that's a yellow white light oh my gosh i guess now we add the feather oh my gosh you guys i had no idea i guess the feather is like a dissolvable piece of paper we add the feather and show you guys what it looks like mixing it up because it says mix this also to help dissolve oh my gosh but here that i feel like it was like tapping already and everything is definitely not dissolved yet so [Applause] next we're gonna add the fizz flower that i said looked like a pac-man thing none of these have oh it does have a smell like kind of a weird smell though honestly okay so there's that ah we're losing the fizz flower y'all this is just like a bath bomb honestly so adding that in stir with the magic wand but y'all i feel like you hear the tapping sound before this stuff disintegrates because it didn't say like use hot water or anything oh my god see it's like wanting me to move to the next step already but this is like nowhere near dissolve this is just like a chunk in here because i feel like obviously probably all of these ingredients mixed together is what would make the mist okay now crystal gem number six the crystal sound and purple light indicate it's time to add the crystal gem drop this in the cauldron and stir with your wand to break it up and then tap cauldron three times when prompted so here is number six and it's so wild that all of this stuff dissolves because honestly this and the feather i did not think were going to dissolve because this honestly looks like a piece of plastic but it kind of feels like a thin little piece of soap let's stir we only have one more potion step to add oh my gosh can you guys still see the crystal gym maybe that disintegrated like super fast okay that was that all right you guys the last thing is the naming scroll oh my god you're supposed to name it and then drop it in the cauldron and let it dissolve we're gonna name it oh my god look at the scroll that's so cute we're gonna name it floop i honestly don't know how it's gonna make a mist because i really feel like it would be doing that already or that it maybe should have been hot water i don't know all right let's stir that in there [Music] maybe it senses now i get it you guys now i know what's happening oh oh my gosh can you guys see this this is so much oh my god you guys this is like so much fun okay oh it is fog smells like a haunted house oh my god what whoa oh my god that was so funny it says a large volume of real mist will emanate from the cauldron this is normal you might even hear your magic mixy start to make noises after around half a minute your magic mixie will miraculously appear in the cauldron congratulations once the sounds have stopped and the mist has cleared you may remove your magic mixy from the cauldron by rotating anti-clockwise and then pulling it out oh my gosh you guys it's just chattering away down here it is adorable it is also like slightly damp particularly in the feet region oh my gosh that's a tail it has a giant fluffy tail is this a griffin kind of looks like a griffin are you a griffin i just wanted to excuse the mixie to another room really quick because he is very talkative and we all know i can't possibly like listen to a noise and concentrate what i'm about to say next i can barely concentrate on what i'm about to say next okay so what i just did was twist open the cauldron and i think maybe mine was like a little bit twisted open already when i received it i don't know if you guys can see but there's like these little arrows down here and um the open arrow here indicates that the cauldron is open so you twist it like that and that's how you dump out all of the water i do have to say our little like glycerin gym i think that that was like step six we put in there was not dissolved so now it's just we have a chunky gym in our shower so the next thing that you're supposed to do is reset the cauldron so this was one of the first things that we unpackaged yesterday i didn't know what it was yet so this is like a little key and you insert it supposedly to this side of the cauldron and then you twist all right so i'm gonna show you guys what it does on the inside so this is gonna spin the platform around again and that is like where we're gonna you know dump the liquid or other stuff like that so i really did not know there's so much more quite apparently that you do with the mixie once you reveal it than this actual process so what i wanted to tell you guys is i noticed like when i unboxed this yesterday that there is like a magnet inside of the tip of the wand and then hopefully you guys can see right here on the inside there's like two little magnetic dots so i guess that's how it knows like how many times you've stirred it they probably like have it measured like oh by the time you stir it like 10 times like the little thing will have had enough time to dissolve etc etc we're about to get in the wand magnet thing further on down the line now that it's reset there's actually a little thing on the mixes back that allows you to secure it in here so you can actually hatch that little guy over and over again they also say if you want you could put items inside of this case and it has a hole in the bottom of it and so you can secure this in there as well to do reveals which i think would be so fun you know this would be so cute like to put a special treat like good grades or birthday or something like that and like put a present in here and then like do the whole cauldron thing as well to surprise somebody in your life which i think is a really cute idea the fog was a lot more impressive than i thought it was going to be and as a person that loves fog machines i would give that 10 out of 10. it's just the right amount it's not like suffocating but it's also not like disappointing you know the only critique that i would have is this thing went a little too fast i think because i was scared if i didn't do it fast enough that maybe like somehow the fog wouldn't work right or it wouldn't hatch right but going back on it i think you could probably like go through the steps slower but it's just like when you hear the tap tap tap and you think you need to tap tap tap like instantly to keep the process going i feel like maybe like especially with like the naming and the feather and stuff like that it almost feels like they want you to like move on before the ingredients are fully dissolved yet which to me takes a little bit of the magic out of the process but yeah you probably like don't necessarily have to move that fast i think we would be okay without it because i think i did miss the first tap tap tap a couple of times um and still you know we were we were okay it still hatched most of the time i feel like when they're like oh reset it and you can use it over and over again like i feel like most items like are not really as cool like the second third time you do them i don't know let me know but maybe that's just because i'm like an old elderly person now so it's like once i've seen it once it's like not going to be as impressive the next time i don't know but i do i feel like this one has a lot of different options where you could do it over and over again now this is kind of interesting because obviously like this i would imagine would just make the mist and you don't get like all the steps i think if you buy the refill you get like the star the feather the all of that kind of stuff all over again so that's pretty cool he has a petting sensor on the top of his head and then he has a gemstone that lights up so he has three levels of energy if the gym is red that means he's weak and he can't do any of the magic spell things that we're about to talk about if the gem is glowing blue he has a medium mood so i guess you can like do some stuff with him and then if his gem is gold that means his mood is strong he's in a good mood and you can play all the other games with him you increase his mood by petting the sensor above the gemstone and you deplete the energy by using the wand so that's what has the magnet in it that's how you do like the different forms of like spells and activities but using the wand with him depletes the energy so then you have to like pet him to like make his mood elevate again you can do a magic spell mode so if you tap him once his gym is gonna turn purple um to play wish mode you tap twice and his gym turns green and to do a mixy enchantment mode you hold the magnet against the gem for a few seconds and it strobes rainbows he does have an on off switch so you can put him into sleep mode much like a furby you can also replace his batteries i'm gonna go get him now and show you guys the different magic modes as you can see gym is gold right now so he's in a very good mood i also think it's so cute that the arms and legs and stuff are posable can like fully bend his legs so he can like sit or stand up he will stand on his own i think will you do that yeah he does what i take that back okay so this is kind of confusing because it says in spell mode you tap the wand on the top of his gym and he will cast spells so it says the more you do this its spells will increase and the gem will strobe so let's tap i guess that was purple oh my god it's singing oh my god it's chanting okay very cute so we'll turn wish mode okay we're trying to get it to glow green that seems like okay that's purple oh my god it just granted my wish so let's move his little legs and sit him there i'm gonna tuck his tail there so he doesn't fall off all right oh my god the tail is like fully bendable too come on now what i don't think he's gonna like that much in enchantment mode he says set him on the rim of the cauldron by threading its tail through one of the handles and it will sit there and help you cast spells in the cauldron as it chatters and mumbles magic words so tap your wand on the mixy's gym while it's in enchantment mode and you might get a surprise you can bring it out of this mode by petting it so supposedly to get it into enchantment mode you hold the wand to the gym for a few seconds and then it's supposed to strobe rainbow is that rainbow oh there we go oh my gosh okay so now okay oh my god is it screaming was that the surprise screams okay let's see if we can uh bring it out of its trance now by petting its head oh there we go trance concluded i am now going to turn him off so you just push that button and now he is in sleeping mode so i'm sure you guys can see that's the little like anchor point on his back right there that's the on off switch and then that's like where you can secure him to the bottom of the cauldron in case you want to like do the re-reveal so i would give this thing two huge thumbs up i feel like i can definitely see why this is the most in-demand item for christmas i feel like more often than not when i've done these videos in the past we test it out and it's like not usually as cool as it's made out to be but i'm here to tell you guys if there's somebody that has this on their wish list i feel like it's justified so run don't walk to amazon international see if you can like get one of these that is it for me today i hope that this was like probably a more thorough and in-depth review than was actually needed but you know that is definitely the point of these videos for me is i just want to tell you guys like how well does it work does it work at all do we have technical difficulties and is it really worth it and i feel like this little guy ticks all the boxes so i can't wait to hear all of you guys thoughts and opinions in the
