Lynel Basics, Attack Patterns, Strategies & More | BotW

hey hi Lionel's Lionel's can be intimidating but if we know more about them and learn their attack patterns hopefully we can survive them easily we'll learn some basic strategies for fighting Lionel's I'm going to show you all the Lionel attacks and how to deal with them remember to subscribe if you haven't or please check out some of my other videos there are 5 different types of Lionel's from weakest to strongest the weakest is the red line Oh next is blue then white then silver and the gold Lionel which is only in master mode the level of Lionel's depend on how many divine beasts you freed and how many Lionel's you've already killed when approaching the line oh they will not attack you they'll stare at you and not start a fight unless you pull out a weapon get too close or if you stand there long enough each Lionel carries a Lionel bow that can shoot three or five arrows and specific Lionel's carry specific arrows if you are too far they will shoot arrows at you and their aim is very good if you hide they will shoot arrows from above so that won't work so you have to get close all I know is do the same attacks but there are a few attacks that depend on what weapon they are carrying if they carry a spear the only unique attack they have is this if you don't have a strong enough shield you may run or parry which it does no damage to your shield just parry the moment the Lionel hits the ground if they are carrying a sword they have these unique attacks a three lateral swing this lateral attack or this lateral attack you can parry or dodge for a flurry rush because their lateral attacks jump back to dodge whether you want to parry or dodge you can see when they pull the sword back before swinging if they carry a crusher they have three unique attacks a three vertical attack a running stronger vertical attack and a spin attack you may dodge sideways for either of the vertical attacks but for the stronger vertical attack if you dodge and they hit the ground before you do you will be hit by the ground impact there is a chance they will do this attack without running so parrying is the best option or taking it with your shield is safest if you aren't in front of them they will do a spin attack you get either stay in front of them preventing this from happening of course parry jump back to dodge for a flurry rush or you can try to duck under their belly before other attacks that all lionel's do are run in charge run and do a horizontal attack shoot three fireballs roar jump and create a fire explosion for the charge attack jump to the side floor flurry rush for the horizontal attack jump back for the fireballs if you want to avoid them running closer to him is easier to dodge them for the roar if you see him roar you should have time to run away but I suggest parrying you press a right after he hits the ground Lionel's can be stunned by shooting them in the face with an arrow or her vocês fury if it's difficult to shoot them in the face you can jump off something or you can use the fire from the fireballs or the roar tap to float to go to bullet time after he stunned you can keep hitting him with anything shoot him in the face some more or mount their back while on his back you can hit him up to five times this would be the best time to use your strongest weapon and this does no damage to your weapon after he throws you off make sure you go to bullet time one more time to shoot him in the back of the head for more damage however he will not get stunned from this you can use the upgraded stasis make sure you hit him once then when he gains consciousness shoot him in the face if you don't hit him after stasis he will continue his last attack this is how I like to kill Lionel's it obviously is easy for me because of the weapons I have but the strategies I gave still apply to you [Music] don't be scared of Lionel's the only way you'll get better at the feeding them is by trying save before you fight and don't forget that you can help yourself with buffs and temporary hearts I really hope this was at least some what's helpful please subscribe for more zelda content and i'll see you next time [Music] [Music]
