LPS: Home for Christmas {Film}

this house is beautiful first house together it's really big and spacious i didn't think it would be this big this kitchen is perfect i'm excited to start a new life here with you hey babe hey [Music] whoa did a tornado come through here or something very funny [Music] that looks amazing well i sure hope it tastes amazing what's all of this for anyways well i'm taking the pies down to the orphanage not all the orphans are going to have homes for christmas and i thought the least i could do was just donate some pies to brighten up the season do you mind getting the pie from the stove okay ready to go to the orphanage yup let's do it [Music] oh hi hello we brought some pies to donate oh my they look delicious i'm sure the children will love them thank you so much it's really no problem what no you can't do that that's our sister i'm sorry girls but we have to transfer her there's just not enough room in the orphanage anymore there's tons and tons of kids that need shelter and ellie will have a better chance somewhere else she's still young and there's tons of couples that would love to adopt her but we're sisters we're supposed to stay together she needs to stay here she's being transferred in the morning the adoption rates here are slowing down and don't you want her to have her best shot of being adopted into a loving family no please you can't do this please would you excuse me one second hey [Music] sorry but i couldn't help but overhear what was going on um if you guys need somewhere to stay our house is available what is she doing my husband and i just bought a house and there's plenty of space yes yes that sounds perfect that way my sisters and i can stay together thank you that really is amazing what no we can't just go home with these strangers we're not foster children actually that could work out yes that could work out we have the documents that you just need to fill out and they can stay with you for a week they'll be out of your fur by christmas and that gives us plenty of time to accept new orphans and find everyone loving homes for the holidays great well welcome to our house it's beautiful look at all the christmas decorations we never got that in the orphanage so where should we put our bag uh we have a spare bedroom upstairs that's where you guys will be staying yes that's right um follow us it's empty it appears so doesn't it how long have you guys been living here exactly about a week eight days to be precise well this room may not be fully furnished yet but i can assure you it's going to be magical come on girls let's go downstairs and cook some dinner oh yum i'm hungry let's go babe do you mind running to the store and just getting a few things to spruce up this place i want to make sure that they feel welcomed and loved and cared for i think that sounds like an excellent idea i'll be back in a few hours thank you this place is going to look great here you go why don't you go set the table [Music] well i teach you how to make the pasta sauce mmm i love spaghetti smells delicious you keep browning the onions i'll be right back aye aye captain hey would you like to come help me and your sisters make dinner um nah i'll pass yeah that's completely okay do whatever you need to do to make yourself feel settled in um and i'm really excited to have you here okay well um have fun reading that book guess who's back um and something smells oh so delicious are we having spaghetti tonight you got it we are having spaghetti yummy yum yum [Music] girls you really outed yourselves you were all wonderful chefs this food is really good [Music] do you like spaghetti um [Music] so you like reading what's that book you're reading about um it's just an adventure book you know oh cool do you like going on adventures you know i'm actually not that hungry um i think i'm just going to go upstairs uh oh um that's completely okay so what do you guys like to do what's in the world guys we got teddy bears teddy bears they're adorable and so soft i love them wow babe you really did all go all out just wanted to make them feel welcomed and loved like you said this room is so big and so cool with so much stuff yeah we never got stuff like this in the orphanage and we had to share a room with a whole bunch of other children this is amazing thank you guys so much well um we cleared space in our schedule so we could have a whole bunch of fun activities to do for the rest of the week you guys are staying here with us so it would be in all of our best interests to go to bed now so we can be fueled up for the morning see you in the morning remember to brush your teeth and wash your face before you go to bed good night guys [Music] guys what is it olivia we can't stay here we can't like these people [Music] what do you mean we can't like these people i love them already yeah i agree with amelia these people are so nice haven't you seen the kindness and compassion they've expressed to us yeah they're really nice people except we're only staying here for a week we're going to be back in the orphanage back in the system by christmas time we can't love these people because they don't love us back but it's hard not to love these people but they're not our real parents they don't even want us and they're just doing this if you love them now when they give us back away to the orphanage your heart's just going to break into a million pieces nora when you were a toddler and amelia was newborn i had to take care of us in fact when we went to a foster home when i was just six years old the couple that adopted us loved us and i loved them but they financially couldn't handle us so they had to give us up we can't love these people we just can't well not everyone's the same people change and you know this family might be different come on olivia it's time to just change your heart have a little faith good night guys [Music] olivia doesn't like me and i don't know what i'm doing wrong i've tried to be nice to her but babe you're doing everything right these kids have had it hard it takes a lot for them to trust someone and it's only their first night here we have a whole week with them and i'm sure she'll warm up to your bubbly personality in no time thank you well i better go start cooking breakfast they'll be up pretty soon and i'll turn on saturday morning [Music] cartoons time flew by so fast incredibly fast and we made so many memories with each other we grew closer almost like a family okay who wants to help make some christmas cookies i do me me me olivia would you like to come make some christmas cookies we're gonna go pass them out to the neighbors um i think i'll pass thanks though oh come on olivia doesn't that sound like fun baking some cookies with your sisters uh sure i guess i'm ready okay who's ready for family game night family i mean just game night you know i love monopoly you have all been warned that i will conquer this game but you haven't seen olivia play she's amazing at this game well olivia it's on what olivia you totally blew this out of the water you're amazing at this game thanks guys look what i just found in the garage [Music] what is that this my friends is a boombox once i click this button the party is going to get started [Music] come on join us come on olivia oh you you know what wow olivia you're so good at dancing i've always wanted to learn dance especially ballet really i used to take ballet i might be able to teach you a few dance moves well that looks like it's just about everything i'll take this bag out to the car man i'm sure gonna miss this place i won't forget any of the fun things that we did this whole week has been a blast yeah thank you for giving us a place to stay seriously these are memories we'll never forget thank you girls for brightening up our lives we really loved having you now we should probably get going before the snow sets in ah thank you both for taking such a wonderful care of the girls well our systems are available and we're going to start finding everyone homes that's great to hear and taking care of the girls was such a pleasure we love doing it they were super fun getting along with and i'm sure they'll find a loving family in no time [Music] yes well thank you thank you it's okay amelia we have each other and we'll stick together [Music] why are you pacing back and forth with your thinking face on there's just been something about this past week something that's been filling this empty void in my heart and i think i sort of love the girls it's almost like they've become part of our family i know what you mean they brought a lot of light into our lives and the house just feels so empty without them the thought of them being separated just tears me apart what do we do yes yes the girls are still available up for adoption girls [Music] hey girls want to come home but but you're part of our family now welcome [Music] look at all the presents i've never seen that many presents in one room before well they're all for you girls so go crazy what's wrong olivia don't you want to go open the presents with your sisters yeah i do except i want to say i love you guys we love you too olivia and of course we also love nora and amelia group hug the greatest gift of all is being part of your family we couldn't agree more you
