anthony i remember that was a tuesday um pastoral meeting and i remember um he was reminding us of the importance of taking care of our health you know you know he was sharing to us the importance of taking care of our health and um and pastor jerry being the super anointed humble teachable person that he is you know he instantly obliged and he got himself a bike no i uh my bike so every day for from that uh day no no bike like totally bike every day you know until it's a picture popped out of our now if i were to caption this photograph right here and caption it seriously funny and seriously funny you know why because if the picture depicts a lot of sense of humor while the picture depicts a lot of sense of humor it also depicts a lot of seriousness into it amen i mean pastor jeremiah message that has something to do with being serious more specifically i want to speak on a message entitled loving god seriously come on hallelujah come on hallelujah amen clap your hands come on come on hallelujah whoa come on i'm in amen hallelujah right off the bat i want to give to you matthew 22 36 38 somebody asked jesus verse 36 teacher which commandment in the law is the greatest verse 37 jesus answered him love the lord your god with every passion of your heart i with every passion of your heart and all the energy of your being hallelujah passion energy and with every thought that is within you this is the great and supreme commandment and as far as this message today is concerned love god seriously seriously seriously i'm in i'm in hallelujah you know if there's one thing that we should not allow this pandemic to do to us that is to take away our love our passion and our fire for god come on if there's one thing most important thing that we must not allow the enemy nor this pandemic to take away from us today's message by the grace of god grace grace grace is an all-out attack versus complacency spiritual apathy and half-hearted christianity tell me up front i just want to say this um i am i know in my heart that i am the least qualified you know so unqualified to preach about this message and um lord i'm giving you my heart search my heart oh god amen amen there are three areas today that i want to highlight i'm believing that there are three areas that call for a serious heart check number one in our giving in our giving when i talk about giving we're talking about worship giving god our worship giving god our sacrifices giving god our offerings and and service under god understand that love gives amen this uh popular quotation that we often hear you can give without loving but you cannot love without giving so love gives let's go straight to the point how is our giving to the lord or let's make it personal are we still listen to this don't miss this are we still giving him our best ah are we still giving him our best or have we allowed our challenges and problems and concerns to rob us of that desire in our hearts to give god our best and right now god is like giving us a heart check how's your giving up you know in the old testament we read about cain and abel genesis chapter four verses two to five on sabbath bible when they grew up they talking about cain and abel no bin agusha pampuna this cain and abel abel became a shepherd while cain cultivated the ground and when it was time for harvest cain presented some of his crops listen to this some of his crops as a gift to the lord verse 4 abel also brought a gift the best portions of the first born lambs from his flock now the lord accepted his gift but he did not accept cain and his gift and this made cain very angry and he looked dejected no face value just by merely observing the text god accepted abel's sacrifice amen from this text that not all sacrifices are pleasing to the lord amen contrary to popular belief god today is reminding us not all sacrifices come on [Applause] the best come on clap your hands come on clap your hands if you're receiving this right now amen in a parallel text in malachi um you find that in malachi 1. saibun a bible the lord of heaven's armies says to the priests a son honors his father and a servant respects his master if i am your father and master where are the honor and respect i deserve you have shown contempt for my name but you ask how have we ever shown contempt for your name you have shown contempt by offering divine defiled sacrifices on my altar and then you ask how have we defiled the sacrifices you defile them by saying the altar of the lord deserves no respect expo this is post exile nari institute on the outside everything seemed okay but on the inside there was a bigger problem there was a problem of complacency there was a problem of the heart hallelujah i mean come on nowadays if you're not careful if we're not going to have a constant heart check worship nothing reverence is it about online or being a church on site it's about heart whoa you defile them by saying the altar of the lord deserves no respect when you give blind animals as sacrifices isn't that wrong and isn't it wrong to offer animals that are crippled and deceased try giving gifts like that to your governor and see how pleased he is says the lord of heaven's armies [Music] come on um stop calling about corporate worship pandemic no pandemic problems and personally paul when i encountered this text personal encounter go with the lord one time asan arapa i was on my one-on-one prayer time with god my devotional time and uh so i was praying to the lord like and the holy spirit prompted me that's how many lords have been having the holy spirit rule uh are you delighting in another day i was i was praising headphones and the holy spirit prompted me again i've been holy spirit through are you really praising or are you problem enumerating lord we all pray for that one time you know i believe that was a youth gig online youth gig on and um that was okay sorry polar sorry sorry okay amen are we worshiping or just watching how about life group a life group appreciate them whenever you're live group leaders you know we we know the struggle we know the uh the challenge of leading a life group we want to give god our best and if i were to put what happened in malachi in a more contemporary tone they gave god not their love but they gave god their left over amen to eat a straightforward at this point um um important internet internet amen everybody target your netflix no netflix foreign lord and then sometimes we get this misconception that when we give this to the lord he's right there in his dwelling place and he's saying benign heart check heart check and i was asking the lord lord what's the tone today especially to you guys you have it in your dna loving god i mean what's our vision we are the church we are the church come on we are the church that loves god hallelujah come on i'm in come on we are the church that loves god and so it's as if god is reminding us today hey love again be passionate again come on give your best to god again come on clap your hands if you're receiving this right now come on whoa [Applause] i'm in and god right now is just like bringing us back to our easier said than done but we have to understand jesus john 14 15 if you love me obey my commandments if you say you love god there must be obedience and everybody said amen because we understand that loving god is not just about saying it loving god it's not just about singing about it loving god is also about doing it we got to learn to put some feet to our faith and do what god says why because pornography prayer porn prayer porn mix up no wonder somehow young people a lot of young people today are so messed up because they're so indulging in pornography how about in marriages a lot of marriages today are so messed up because of pornography amen what else uh life group separate healthy progressive life group pagoda life group leader you know i always encourage them to like you know stick to worship songs stick to worship songs who enjoys video game when she was single thank easy to achieve learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all habico there will be so much evil people will be lovers of themselves who praise so the point is you know as we talk about in our living amen there is much evidence to prove that when you continue drinking milk and coke at the same time it will do something bad in your digestive system and it will eventually cause your body to like vomit it out no elaboration interestingly i was having a bible revelation chapter 3 verse 16. wow hallelujah you are so lukewarm you are neither hot nor cold and i am about to spit you out of my mouth uh james and sabine and james the double-minded man is unstable in all he does ah graceful grace reminding us and i think this is the heart of the message today amen come on palace hallelujah um hana and everybody said amen come on clap your hands if you are still into this hallelujah enjoy come on lord amen amen hallelujah number one in our giving number two in our living number three in our believing in our believing your chosen truth is we gotta watch out for this come on we gotta watch out for this you know why because this is outright false this is so false i mean contrary to this pop culture belief the bible tells us that there is only one truth and that is the truth about jesus christ john 14 6 jesus answered i am the way the truth and the life the only way to the father is through me come on clap your hands if you are receiving this right now there is only one way i see jesus oh man for the past couple of weeks we've been enjoying talking about heaven eternity and all in light of eternity again are you eternity secured are you eternity ready those who believe in jesus christ those who put their trust their faith in jesus christ those who receive him as their lord and savior and as a result genuinely repent from their wicked ways see jesus he is the only way amen he is the only way and as we continue to talk about you see jesus in heaven how about let's put some twist into it those who believed in other gods who else those who believed in many gods this is false right here what else those who didn't believe in any god atheists those who believed in meditation as a way to have salvation those who believe in their good works as their access to salvation those who said they knew jesus but did not really believe in him understand this knowing about jesus it's so different from believing in him and today as we talk about being serious at the time when we could see how the earth is deteriorating the ionic habits end times second coming judgment day lord we have to be serious in our believing and everybody said amen this sermon won't be complete if we do not speak about the ultimate expression of loving seriously the ultimate example it has to be jesus christ it has to be jesus the ultimate example it has to be jesus christ we remember in mark chapter 14 32-36 at the moment when he was about to be crucified on the cross the tibetan bible they went to a place called gethsemane and jesus said to his disciples sit here while i pray he took peter james and john along with him and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled sabine my soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death because you know he's god he knows what was going to happen that he was going to go through so much pain he knew that he was going to be flogged to death he knew that there was going to be this crown of thorns that was going to be placed on his head he knew that there will be nails that will be spiking through his hands he knew all about it and so moments before he was about to be crucified for us he was there in the garden and he was praying my soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of the verse 35 going a little further he fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from him [Music] yet not what i will but what you will amen luke 22 44 sobrang intense put on situation has been a bible and being in anguish he prayed more earnestly and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground you know doctors are suggesting that this is a dangerous condition known as hematiterosis the effusion of blood in one's perspiration and it's a a very dangerous situation because subcutaneous capillaries dilate and burst mingling blood [Music] the mocking ridiculing he was spit upon yokanyan beard ripped out crown of thorns spears his head the horrible scourging using a cut of nine tails with bone fragments and metal balls being tied to the ends of the straps causing pieces of his flesh to be torn from his body the huge cross the nails that would spike through his hands and feet the pines of death he knew what was going to happen and yet he said yeah lord father not my will but your will be done seriously seriously this is how we know what real love is jesus christ laid down his life for you and for me can i invite everybody to stand right now how about right now let's just all stand close your eyes and bow your heads wow we talked about this giving god our highest respect and adoration doesn't matter whether you're here at church or there in your homes right now is an encounter with jesus christ as we remember as we rekindle that time that moment in history when jesus was being scourged to the pillar you remember how he was floored to the ground we watched the drop through the blood dripping on the floor [Music] as we remember the cross so huge [Music] as we remember the crown of thorns that was placed on his head as we remember his face looking to you [Music] get it then [Music] [Music] he was nailed to the cross he was on the cross and right now you are there at the foot of the cross encountering jesus listening to him saying to you this is how much i love you so seriously [Music] and you start realizing this is exactly the place where you first fell in love with him going back to your first love this is the place where you first fell in love with him he loved us first while we were still sinners he loved us first and as we're encountering his love that's a challenge for you [Music] our passions our energy our bear our best our best hallelujah oh god oh god oh god this is how much he loves us hallelujah [Music] lamb of god worthy is yours come on worship him right now jesus [Music] you are worthy [Music] [Applause] jesus [Music] [Applause] is [Music] [Music] worship is [Music] [Applause] you're all together worthy [Music] [Applause]
