to believe again um [Music] amen um disappointment frustration let's just be honest right now how many among you here have experienced being disappointed come on you know you experience probably a loss a loss of a loved one which is very painful if you're a businessman lost in your portfolio come on raise your hands hallelujah amen you know if we're going to be honest um we're going to agree in saying that life's disappointments losses frustrations and hurts they have a way of affecting shaking hallelujah affecting shaking [Music] and even testing um our believing and our trusting in god amen if we're not careful may even lead our hearts or tempt our hearts to shrink to hopelessness and bitterness agree agree amen amen you know if we're not careful this events may tempt us to shrink to hopelessness or worse even bitterness dahil in these moments it is important to guard our hearts hallelujah turn to your neighbor right now guard your heart hallelujah sabunam bible proverbs 4 23 guard your heart above all else come on guard your heart above all else for it determines the course of your life come on i'm in come in guard your heart above all else for it determines the course of your life in the bible we read about a woman named naomi everybody say naomi come on everybody say naomi i remember naomi after being widowed she lost her husband tapos she also lost her two sons imagine she lost her husband and then she lost her two sons she succumbs to some sort of bitterness and this is evidenced by her confession in ruth chapter 1 verse 20. apparently and so she returned home don't call me naomi call me mara because the almighty has made my life very bitter grab you know in hebrew beautiful hallelujah people were calling her hey beautiful hey blessed have you no no stop calling me beautiful [Music] are we getting this yes if we're not careful come on if we're not careful this heart has a tendency to shrink to slide back to hopelessness faithlessness and even bitterness if we're getting this right now hallelujah i'm in we can formally refer to this instance in the life of naomi as in a way a crisis of faith in her life this is described as the difficulty to continue believing in god specifically in his kindness and ability to heal i will see the goodness of the lord in the land that i'm living in a momentary distortion of our view of god's sovereign plan for our lives all of a sudden you start doubting the goodness and the greatness of the plan of god for your life all of a sudden you start second guessing the promises of god for your life all of us come on clap your hands if you know that god is speaking to you right now come on and god right now is encouraging you and me have the courage to believe again come on have the courage have the courage to believe again come on it's an electrifying experience come on because you know that the word is alive hallelujah that the god you're worshiping and serving is a personal god and he longs to commune with you today come on clap your hands i come on you know we are too weeks two years into the pandemic but praise god there are signs that we're about to shift seasons come on there are signs that we're about to shift seasons do you still have enough courage to believe hallelujah come on do you still have enough courage to trust that the plan of god for your life is still beautiful come on have the courage to believe again the question today is this taco have the courage again in english promise emphatic do you still have the boldness and the audacity to believe again romans chapter 4 verse 20. abraham abraham never wavered in believing god's promise abraham never wavered never waver in believing god's promise in fact his faith grew stronger and in this he brought glory to god today i pray that god will release the spirit of courage more specifically the courage to believe again come on raise your hands right now everybody come on hallelujah lord this is our prayer this morning hallelujah even for our brothers and sisters who are at home right now lord release an importation release god this spirit of courage lord courage hallelujah lord salamat in jesus name amen we're going to go through some pointers today most of them very familiar but you have to understand the goal of the objective today is it's not about to prove whether or not the pointers are true the goal is to rediscover whether or not you still believe or not can i hear hallelujah his mercy is our new every morning amen it's not the end for naomi because since i put a bible the lord help her be healed from all the bitterness through the love story of ruth and kanyakum and then flash forward to matthew chapter 1 verse 5 see obed actually became part of the genealogy of jesus christ come on what a way to restore what a way to redeem what a way hallelujah to heal come on i just want to speak life right now to somebody who's feeling so down and defeated god is encouraging you right now do you have the courage come on do you have the courage come on do you have the courage to believe again amen god heals god restores god's plan is beautiful come on have the courage to believe that nothing is too difficult for a fellow come on for the one who is filled with faith right now for the one who is excited come on for the one who is booming hallelujah bursting with faith come on have the courage to believe again that nothing is too difficult for the lord and i'm speaking to someone right now who's like feeling she's stuck in a very difficult situation the word of god for you today you know i remember in a very recent experience um personal experience with the lord um uh recently the lord blessed us out of his grace a second child and um after elongates [Music] but the journey was not easy my wife was classified or categorized as high-risk pregnancy no so it wasn't not an easy journey and i remember that 19th week we were at the 19th week you know halfway through the journey and we received not so good news so i put on dr salman there is a possibility that he deemed full terms a baby there is a possibility number one complications and all and you know if you're like a dad then you're listening to all this stuff man my mind was like running wild and like over think now and amen and then i remember we were there in the parking lot wifi went inside the clinic so we were there in the parking lot and i remember i was praying to god every time we visited versus the 450 false prophets of baal and i was praying to god lord help help help us and then god told me to pay attention to what i'm doing so having the lord come on hallelujah let's read the story right now first kings 18 25 or 26 to 45. the context the whole nation of israel was having a faith crisis and then elijah the pro the prophet of god the man of god stood up for god in mount carmel 450 and then they called on the name of bayal from morning till noon but there was no response no one answered and they dance around after after the altar dead mate verse 27 at noon elijah began to taunt them shout louder surely he is a god small g small g perhaps he is deep in thought or bc or travailing maybe he's sleeping and must be awakened verse 28 so they shouted louder and slashed themselves with swords and spears as was their custom until their blood flowed and they continued their frantic prophesying until the time for the evening sacrifice but there was no response no one answered no one paid attention stop right here pause right here partner text at all for me it's like god revealing to us the text revealing to us how difficult it was for fire to fall from heaven that's on one hand and on the other hand we find elijah the man of god hallelujah and then elijah said to all the people come here to me they came to him and he repaired the altar of the lord which had been torn down he arranged the wood cut the bowl into pieces and laid it on the wood and then he said to them fill four large jars with water and pour it on the offering and on the wood sabina grab it in are you getting this and i was like watching this you know made me look at my bible i said grab it oh big next line do it again begin your little too big grab it though and they did it again do it the third time again [Music] at the time of the sacrifice the prophet elijah stepped forward and prayed lord the god of abraham isaac and israel let it be known today that you are god in israel and that i am your servant and have done all these things at your command answer me lord answer me so this people will know that you lord are god and that you are turning their hearts back again verse 38 hallelujah and then the fire of the lord fell and burned up the sacrifice the wood the stones and the soil and also licked up the water at the trench as far as god is concerned there is no such thing as levels of difficulty come on as far as god is concerned there's no such thing as levels of difficulty there's no such thing as levels of impossibility because um praise the lord it's a pregnancy last july 26 38 weeks full term healthy baby normal delivery during that time when i was like struggling i would always go back to this and remember cross-referencing to the new testament three times in the new testament there was a recorded narrative of jesus resurrecting a person from the dead three times one time in mark chapter five see jairus daughter was dead and you know the story jesus enters the room and then jesus says second you find that in luke chapter seven the widow in nain and then thirdly you have lazarus who who was dead long enough to be in grave clothes in a tomb buried nabarina is come on i don't know what you're going through right now i don't know what you're praying for right now i don't know what kind of challenge you're facing right now but god is encouraging you today have the courage to believe again do not allow the hurt the pain the trauma to stop you from believing in the goodness of god and everybody said amen inaudible sometimes god allows our situations to go from difficult to very difficult to very very difficult better fret not don't be afraid because the truth of the matter is nothing is too difficult for the lord this is for the mother who's been praying for her son her child to go back to the lord this is for the wife who's been praying for the husband desperately praying to god for the husband to return to the lord this is for the couple who's been desperately praying to god for a baby this is for someone the believer who's been asking the lord in faith desperately for a miracle god is encouraging you right now have the courage to believe again have the courage to believe again amen second point number two remember have the courage to believe that god will do what he says he would god will do what he said he would and let me put there are two kinds of hearers right now there are two kinds of hebrews your first type of hearer wow you're hungry you go to church you're going through battles in life then you go to church you turn on church online and then you see the words [Music] these are powerful words romans chapter 4 17-21 that is what the scriptures mean when god told him i have made you the father of many nations talking about abraham this happened because abraham believed in the god who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing verse 18 even when there was no reason for hope abraham kept hoping a bible in this ah hallelujah for god said to him that's how many descendants you will have and abraham's faith did not weaken even though at about 100 years of age he figured his body was as good as dead and so was cyrus womb verse 20 abraham never wavered in believing god's promise in fact his faith grew stronger and in this he brought glory to god he was fully convinced that god is able to do whatever he promises i am praying that god will give us the courage again after the serve after the church online after the celeb god will give us the courage to open our bibles again and take a look amen amen remember that promise remember that promise that god gave you oh man remember that promise that god gave you a long time ago i'm praying right now god will give us the courage to look back and go back to those promises again amen understand this when a person stops believing reading the promises of god is relegated demoted downgraded to a mere mental activity or an exercise of the mind but no allah on faith but look at this but for the one for the one who is so filled with faith these promises are a source of strength a source of hope and come on and a source of life have the courage have the courage to believe again have the courage to believe that when you open your bibles and you read you know in your heart that god is speaking to you that is not just a set of words or sentences or paragraphs these are the words of god for you but the question is this do you still have the courage to believe have the courage to believe have the courage to believe have the courage to believe that miracles still happen come on have the courage to believe that's something good is on its way courage to believe again amen amen lastly this will end number one courage to believe that nothing is too difficult for god second courage to believe that he will do what he says he would do number three courage to believe that he still is a waymaker he still is a waymaker come on he still is a waymaker god will make a way when there seems to be no way come on god will make a way where there seems to be no way let me say that again god will make a way where there seems to be no way you know why because he is waymaker as somebody here you feel so stuck and you feel like you're in a dead end situation god is encouraging you right now hallelujah he will make a way he will make a way he is waymaker he is waymaker there's no such thing as checkmate if life was a chess match and you feel like it's checkmate no no there's no such thing as checkmate as far as god is concerned you only need to look to him because he is waymaker he is waymaker i brother i heard that song it's a good song waymaker um again check your heart parking hard waymaker is it just a song has it been relegated to just a singing of a song or is it still a song of faith in your heart boo hey hallelujah amen are we getting this when i think about god being a waymaker illustration israelites they were in a uh seemingly dead end situation bible tells us and um and they were there they were kind of stuck um can you put that right there stay calm don't panic the lord himself will fight for you and make the long story short jump that's a verse 21 exodus 14 and then moses raised his hand over the sea and the lord opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind and then the wind blew all that night turning this the seabed into dry land god made a way where there seemed to be no way because the truth is that's the kind of god that we serve he is waymaker come on he is waiting he is waymaker i don't know you feel so stuck don't know what to do god is encouraging you right now you look to him look to him fix your eyes on him he still is awaymaker amen see the ultimate greatest example of god being a waymaker is him making a way for us to spend eternity with him the ultimate greatest illustration of god being a waymaker is the good news of the gospel when you think about it example is some waymaker is found in the goodness of the gospel see the truth of the matter is because of our sins we were supposed to be punished hell was supposed to be our destination it's bible romans 3 23 for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of god it's habit of romans 6 23 and the wages of sin is death we were so destined for hell and yet god made the way god made a way hallelujah god made a way sent his son to die on the cross john 3 16 says this for this is how god loved the world he gave his one and only son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life god made a way god made a way for you and me to enjoy eternity with him god made a way god gave a solution for man's greatest problem and god is encouraging you right now he is god who makes a way hallelujah let's all stand right now let's just pray wow lord lord we're not undermining the things that we're going through in life these are legit these are valid reasons god to feel afraid sometimes to be shaken sometimes but lord we're choosing to guard this heart and we are receiving right now god the spirit of courage courage to believe again hallelujah lord as we face tomorrow the next month and the next coming years lord i pray that you bless each one with the courage to believe again to believe again that you are good hallelujah to believe again that your promises are true hallelujah to believe again that when you say it you will do it to believe again that you are waymaker oh god i'm speaking to someone right now hallelujah i was just so disappointed so down and defeated like you're about to quit on life give up on life god right now is encouraging you he is way maker wow and he loves you and he longs to be good to he's a good father he's a good guy you only need to fix your eyes on him amen lift your hands
