hello and welcome at last to Lords of the Fallen with the new release of the game we can now say that we've had a couple days early access to jump in and play which means I've learned a lot about how this game works to say the least it throws a lot at you all at once which can be a bit overwhelming to help with that and the fact that this is a Souls like I put together this video both useful tips and information but also locations of important items that are easily missed and will have a big impact on your early hours we'll also cap it off with the location of an awesome weapon that has built-in holy damage without actually needing Radiance levels to use it and a nice high physical resistant heavy armorer all of this will try to avoid spoilers as best we can we're just going to be covering the open section of the game really but hopefully this video will make your experience much smoother so let's begin we start with some quick fire tips and Concepts you're going to want to know firstly magic types and resistances in short there's three Radiance umbrell and Inferno also known as Holy Fire and Wither in the opening section of the game you'll come across various normal enemies like the fire dogs so the mini boss style Undead Warriors that wield a huge sword and light it and themselves on fire naturally using Inferno or fire damage against these guys is going to be really weak that's awkward because in this early section you'll find a fire ax maybe you get the fire sword from these guys that can drop maybe you're playing a cultist and you're using fire spells so it's a bit unfortunate that they do this right at the beginning but knowing that that's how it works will help you in your early experience and maybe a cultist will feel less bad about their low damage to start with but my followup tip to do with this is to play into it with your equipment the first real boss as I'll call her comes very early on her name is PETA and you fight her on this main bridge that you climb in the first one to two hours of play her main damage source is actually Radiance her weapon is buffed up with it her slams her spells even the mirror images of herself are made from it so having armor with high Radiance would largely reduce the damage taken from her the thing is they literally give you that the full four piece set of early Radiance resistance it's called the pilgrim set and you find all of it in the abandoned red copes area before you fight the boss the first place to find it is in the main open area with a big tree you'll be attacked by a bunch of enemies standing on rooftops and in general attacking you all at once when that's clear you can go to the big tree in the middle and attack the body that's hung from the tree it's very clearly there it has a glowing item and if you dislodge it with a range attack of some kind you can loot it for the chest and legs of the pilgrim set shortly after that you climb the hill that leads you to a large unopenable gate next to a Vestige like a bonfire of Marco the axe if we turn around and head slightly uphill away from the gate and swap to the umbrell world will progress and go down into this Valley which eventually leads to another hanging body which again if we dislodge with an attack we can loot for the other two pieces the pilm set with this you have a high Radiance resistance set in the early game and keep this concept in mind because there's definitely going to be more armor with other magic resistances likely in the area where you're going to be facing enemies of that type speaking of range attacks in general a quick tip to do with that is that you can deal critical damage by firing range shots and so on the heads of enemies it's a nice treat to improve the DPS of your range attacks reminding me of say Neo or the more recent W long and yeah knowing you can deal bigger bursts of damage with range attacks should help you start a fight from the range or maybe you can make the space midf fight to actually be able to aim like that and land a head shot another quick tip and thing I want to highlight is the multi-hit attacks shown early in the tutorial these combo attacks are shown as pressing L1 and R2 together on a PlayStation controller against one dude and then it's never really mentioned again the thing is these special combos are really strong they leave you a bit exposed especially if your weapons aren't dealing much stagger damage which made me ignore the combo attacks for a bit it was the second boss of the game though where I had a chance to realize just how strong these are and honestly fast a full light attack combo at the time for me did 305 damage which took a lot longer than the shorter and safer combo attack which did 257 and to be honest I think I missed a blow there so it probably would have done similar damage so it's doing comparable damage much faster and therefore works as a better source for punishing bosses when possible as soon as I started relying on these multi-hit attacks more my DPS went up during those punish windows in a boss fight which made the boss fight last less time and therefore made it easier so really try to make yourself use them maybe it's worth using even if you're not using two weapons at once it could have greater output than your lighter attack combo and work as a good punish when possible moving on we have another important tip on leveling if you want to get strong fast my advice is actually not to level your main damage stats but to level vitality you need health to function and a minimal amount would be letting you take a hit or two from a mini boss or even full boss without dying I would strongly suggest you push Your vitality to at least 15 or even 20 as your first points for leveling the buffer of health will keep you alive while you're exploring the game initially it's always the worst when you just fall over in one or two hits when learning a new game like this so I'd strongly recommend Vitality leveling lastly for the tips before we get into item locations I want to mention umbrell scouring which is a resource you collect in various ways one way way is by just defeating bosses but another important way you can miss is by Soul fling memories you find these randomly during exploration but also after you say defeat a boss which gives you both context and resources like the boss remembrances if you want to craft yourself boss weapons gear even spells you need these umbrell scourings it asss you will need to be in the umbrell realm to see these memories and then Flay them but make sure that you're always Soul fling every memory Soul you come across just for the resources if not the low and detail all right now it's time for a fast rundown of important item locations you're going to want to know items that literally increase your stamina health and survivability and how many heals you have and how potent they are in order of which you probably find these we'll start with the mine owner ring which provides an increase to your maximum stamina and how fast your stamina Regens too which is an easy and good one during the abandoned red copes area next to The Prestige of Marco the axe we mentioned earlier turn around and start heading uphill away from the gate and on your right there's a hanging body knock that down somehow and then loot it and hey that's just the ring really easy to find but potentially miss as well and since it's nice to have early I wanted to mention it I've also already mentioned the pilgrim set that's found in this area so let's now move on to the section Beyond P the radiance boss fight by the way when you defeat that boss maybe hang on to the souls instead of leveling up you might want say roughly 12,000 of these to spend on some good items coming up so just past the bridge you fought the boss on is a hub of sorts we head through the gate past that and go down the spiral stairs to the lowest floor where we find the skyrest bridge Hub here you'll also meet stowman they captain and vendor who sell some things including a very nice Ring The Ring Of Duty which cost you about 3,000 Viger AK Souls but while War it'll increase your vitality and endurance fantastic in the early game we're lacking in both of these stats and 3K isn't even that expensive I should also mention while you're in the hub that you can now speak with P the boss we just fought you can use her to upgrade your healing item using saintly quintessences and she becomes the place to Respec down the line which is nice to know the next area of play we're going to go to is pilgrims perch but you can also buy the pilgrims perch key here used on multiple doors in the pilgrims perch region the key isn't exactly cheap though 95,000 SS to buy from stowman but it's very worth it resulting in a heavy armor set with good physical protection and even more holy resistance but also the big hammer weapon we talked about in the intro so moving into the pilgrims perch region you will progress and eventually find the boss early on the scourge sister deith there's actually an upgrade item for your items here which is entirely missable because after you win the fight you want to swap to the um realm if you weren't already in this alve right next to where she's originally standing is an umbrell belly that we can use the soul FL on which will reward us with a saint Lee quintessence which we can then take back to Peta in the hub to upgrade the heels once more if you didn't die to her and you were in the living realm you could entirely miss the fact that that's right there so an important one for us to mention after that now let's talk about a ring that provides plus three Vitality while warn which which is a very good amount of the health stat to have so early on it's also found here in the pilgrims perch though the nearest Prestige is The Prestige of blind Agatha though that's far away from it to be honest it's a hard one to describe without this being too long of a chunk for the video so in short you will progress this region and eventually come outside to the cliff side where you're on all these wooden platforms at the very bottom of this section and area is a body hidden next to these wooden barrels on a low platform that body contains the defaced ring while one it's plus three to Your vitality which should be a very good boost early on lastly it's finally time to talk about the pilgrims perch key and the items tied to it if you haven't got that key yet maybe save up for it now and go buy it from stowman from the Vestige of blind Agatha you'll find the door that this key unlocks right by this talkative MPC if you follow the path behind that door you will eventually come across a lot of strong enemies especially this early on you can actually avoid the combat entirely by sprinting through here and eventually by doing so you'll come to the end of the section where there's a boss fight hidden within the sacred Resonance of tenacity what a strange boss name hilariously you can cheese this boss fight by using fall damage but first you'll need to take out the things that are sort of keeping the boss healed by using the lamp and popping them but once that's done we can now bring the boss up high there's a staircase on the side of the room that comes up quite high up and he'll just follow you all the way up we can drop down for not much damage or worry at all but when he falls I guess cuz he's so weighty he takes over 2,000 damage you can just repeatedly do this and roughly five times of that will bring him very low to the point where you can just poke him and fall over so we can beat this boss fight a lot easier and potentially earlier than maybe the dev's plan but hey he drops the weapon we've been talking about the sacred resonance Hammer as well as 8,000 Souls which almost recoups the cost of the key itself this Grand Hammer scales at a c rating with strength while not actually upgraded at all and it comes with holy damage despite not requiring any Radiance levels to use we'll need a total of 25 strength and 18 agility for this one so if you're planning a strength build this could be a top tier pick and one we can get as early as this as far as strong boss weapons go and you know easy to get this is just one of the better ones we found the move set is what you might imagine for a big bonking hammer though vertical swings that slam and bounce off the ground with big weight behind them it also has some surprising Gap closing distance which is very nice and there are some horizontal swings which means there is AE potential where needed but I did mention there's an armor set tied to the Pilgrim's perch key so let's talk about that the awesome armor set the sacred resonance Garb is a heavy armor set that well looks a bit silly the helmet is literally just a bell you wear but the set has high physical mitigation outside of the chest P specifically but in general has great Holly damage resistance too more relevant than that cloth that was the Pilgrim's Garb and it's not too hard to find if you progress past the sister Deli fight room we spoke about early in the pilgrims perch eventually you'll come back in from the outside and head through this small cave on your right as you go through here is a gated door so instead of progressing back outside you can use the perch key to then open this and in that room is the chest with the armor so there you have it our overview of impactful items and things you can miss and also important tips to know in your early hours of gameplay to get strong quick hopefully this video helps you have a smoother time with the game but if you guys have any extra details that might help someone then drop it in the comments for now though I've been Hollow you've been new thank you for watching see you next time Josh C and Hollow with the videos dropping the humor like a hammer on your
