Live PD: That's a Car, Not a Speed Bump (Season 3) | A&E

- We're responding to a vehicle that is seen leaving the hit and run accident. It's described as a white, full-sized truck. As you can see, it's got a tire folded up underneath it, as if it's been in an accident. This might be involved with the one out in Williams. I'm going to head out there with [inaudible] two. So it sounds like this one's going to be involved with the one out there. There's one out on Williams Road. Should be a car in a ditch. [police radio chatter] [speaking spanish] Don't-- don't-- don't-- don't-- don't move. Don't move. OK. Where-- is it all on your ankle? OK, don't move it. Hey guys, we're going to need a splint. - A splint? - Yeah. He's got an obvious deformity to the left ankle. - All righty. - I heard something about a bleed from the head. - Yeah, he's got a little cut to his head. - Exactly. [interposing voices] - Yeah. Yeah, he's answering questions. I haven't asked that specific question yet. But-- - Can you just tell me what happened? - Towards where? - You were going towards Old Stage? What kind of pickup truck did you see? Can you describe it again? So it was going opposite your direction? So that's the top of your hood? So the front of his car hit your car? - All right. - What hurts right now? - So the driver of this vehicle said that a white pickup truck or a light colored pickup truck clipped him, which sent him into this tree. So it sounds like we got a felony hit and run investigation going on here. It also sounds like the other driver might be intoxicated. Hey, Angel, is that a detachable steering wheel? That's why it crumbled on you. Those things aren't built very well. Yeah, we got a-- we got a vehicle stopped that has some front end damage that we think is associated, all right? The actual collision occurred about, I'd say 100, 150 yards down the road. The driver said when he got clipped the vehicle started spinning and he spun out into this location here. So he's very lucky, very lucky.
