- In Oklahoma, the date
on those paper tags is supposed to be the
date it was bought. So her car is bought
two weeks from now. So I call it a future tag. Huh? No, that's not
why I stopped you. - Why? - Your car's from the future. - I'm trying-- I'm in
the process of getting-- - Let me see those tickets. - I just bought this car. - Let me see those tickets. - And so-- - Do you have an
ID on you at least? - Yes. - Now, there's nothing in
the car I should be aware of, is there? Any drugs or any weapons
or anything like that? OK. - Do you want me to see? - No, I-- I'll take a look in a second. - OK, I'm just being honest. - OK, no, that-- that-- that's good. - I mean, I usually
don't carry it with me, but sometimes I'll kind
of forget that it's there, and I'll grab my purse and
walk out the door, and then-- - OK, go ahead and
step out for me. - Since I had an address. I don't know for
sure if I got it-- - OK.
- --in m-- - All right, step over
here for one second. - OK. - What's going on with your
tags? - Well, I just-- - It's from the future. Hey-- - It should have said 12/6. - Real quick, you mind if I see
if your meth pipe is in here. Now, here's the deal, thumb out. I can't let you reach in there.
- What, I-- - I don't care that
much about the pipe. You don't have any
drugs in here, do you? - No, I don't have nothing.
- OK, good deal. - I swear.
- All right. - I've been doing good. I just got a job. I just bought this car. - Oh, there's your pipe. - Have you cleaned
out your purse since you started doing good? - Huh? No, not really. - All right, why don't you
go ahead and grab yourself. You guys hop back in the car. Patrice, I'm going to cut
you some tickets today-- - Yes, sir. - --because of that. So here's what I'm doing. I'm only going to give
you a ticket for the tag. - OK. - That sound fair? And in exchange for you only
getting a ticket for your tag, and I'm not going to give
you a ticket for driving without your license
or your insurance. - OK.
- We use officer discretion. I'm not going to cut
you a ticket on those. - I-- I appreciate it. - But I want you
stop doing that dope. - Oh, yeah, I have. - Or at least-- no, stop. Stop.
- I have. I haven't done nothing
in like three week. - Here's the deal.
All right, so-- - But I've been clean
off crack cocaine. That was really my addiction. - All right. - Yeah, I've been clean off that
four and a half years since I lost my son. - But you're carrying
around a burner. You're carrying around a pipe. - I did not even-- I told you I didn't know for
sure if it was still in there or not. - It was sitting on
top of your purse. It was in the first pouch
on top of your purse. - It's a process. - It's one day at a time. - One day at a time.
- All right? - Right. - All right, so you're
only get one ticket. The cheapest ticket I can
give you is for that tag. - I appreciate it. - All right, but if you're
clean for a year, you stop by, and you say, hi. - I will. - Sound like a plan? - Sounds like a plan. - All right. - Does marijuana count? - Well, if it's-- if you're
actually using it for some issue, not just recreation. - OK, OK. - You know, like, if you have-- - Well, I'll take-- - --true anxiety or
something, you know? - Yeah, OK, I'll
do that for you. - All right. - I'll do that for you. - I don't think
she's a bad person or like horribly messed up. I looked at her
history and everything. I think she just needs a
goal, set herself a goal, and I hope that she gets
in touch with me in a year and says, hey, I've
been clean for a year.
