father the son and the holy spirit amen the grace of our lord jesus christ the love of god the fellowship of the holy spirit be with you all and with your spirit sisters and brothers we come before the lord this moment to honor him to lift up our thanksgiving salah locked down and a man but lord you are always with us stay with us and we come before god in humility we pray for the conversion of the world we pray and so we pray together i confess to almighty god and to you my brothers and sisters that i have greatly seen in my thoughts and in my words in what i have done and in what i have failed to do through my fault through my fault through my most graveless fault therefore i ask blessed mary ever virgin all the angels and saints and you my brothers and sisters to pray for me to the and intentions and our collective prayer that is pandemic will end soon and that goodness will triumph over evil especially during these difficult times of our life draw near to your servants o lord and answer their prayers with unceasing kindness that for those who glory in you as their creator and guide you may restore what you have created and keep safe what you have restored to our lord jesus christ your son who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the holy spirit one god forever and ever amen a reading from the book of exodus the whole israelite community grumbled against moses and iran the israelites said to them with that we had died at the lord's hand in the land of egypt as we sat by our flesh pots and ate our field of bread but you had to lead us into this desert to make the whole community die of famine then the lord said to moses i will now rain down bread from heaven for you each day the people are to go out and gather their daily portion thus will i test them to see whether they follow my instructions or not i have heard the grumbling of the israelites tell them in the evening twilight you shall eat flesh and in the morning you shall have your feel of bread so that you may know that i the lord am your god in the evening quail came up and covered the camp in the morning a jew lay all about the calm and when the jew evaporated there on the surface of the desert were fine flakes like poor frost on the ground on seeing it the israelites ask one another what is this for they did not know what it was but moses told them this is the bread that the lord has disciples were there they themselves got into the boats and came to capernaum looking for jesus and when they found him across the sea he said to him rabbi when did you get here jesus answered them and said amen amen i say to you you're looking for me not because you saw signs but because you are you are you ate the loaves and were filled do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures to eternal life which the son of man will give you for in him the father god has set his seal so they said to him what can we do to accomplish eternal life to accomplish the works of god jesus answered and said to them this is the work of god that you believe in the one he sent so they said to him what sign can you do that we may see and believe in you what can you do our ancestors ate bread from heaven for the bread of god is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world but he said to him sir give us this bread always and jesus said to them i am the bread of life fill us with your love that government leaders and other public servants may implement and promote policies that answer the basic needs of the people whom they serve we pray lord fill us with your love that those who are sick lonely anxious and depressed may find strength and healing in jesus the bread of life we pray lord fill us with your love that those who have gone ahead of us may know the fullness of salvation in christ jesus and celebrate god's love forever we pray lord fill us with your love let us pray for the urgent concerns of our community and our personal intentions we pray lord fill us with your love oh lord be with us in our journey through life thank you for lifting us up when we are down and remind us lord to continue to lift up our praises to you while we're still alive by his rising from the dead he has opened the way to eternal life and by ascending to you o father he has unlocked the gates of heaven and so with the company of angels and saints we sing the hymn of above all things and i desire to receive you into my soul since i cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally come at least spiritually into my heart i embrace you as if you were already there and lord the presence we cannot open help us and in this moment required as the lord to bless heal each one of us and this whole world that needs so much redemption salvation come the holy spirit come holy spirit let us pray accompany with constant protection o lord those you renew with these heavenly gifts and in your never failing care for them make them worthy of eternal redemption we ask this
