money makes the world go around if you ain't got no money you ain't going nowhere basically and this is laughing is everything that's been spent the money lasts only a few minutes you don't save for a rainy day cuz that's what you don't expect a rainy day and then all sudden there's no job I says holiday as money as number one volleyball this is not the hardest problem we have in America it's the stupidest wrong we got [Music] well I'm uncomfortable because I'm blessed hmm you know I realized I don't need everything but I do need to remain its entrance plate the sweet bone plate things and store my food to have food [Music] they don't like fire we have no way to store food so we store our food in there and our coolers or you know inside our tent instead of like that because they won't come pass them if there's fire they see the fire they won't try to come this way to get at our food you see this we just recycle this is the old grease that they use in the restaurant okay you know after they make Burgers and Fries burns were like total maybe eight in our I worry about drank the water we weren't living in the tunnel on Cambridge and it flooded I woke up literally under the water with him holding onto my belly had it not been for the simple fact that God said look and I know it was nothing but God cuz I couldn't have been nobody else so there was a piece of chicken wire about this long and I grabbed it literally if I were to let go of that [ __ ] wire rudabeh been dead we know people that are that we're homeless like this they have literally died like in these floods so home is like a security base without it you're lost and you don't know what you're gonna be [Music] and you really your home is not not these little 2d structures it's actually God's handled only fee protects you and keeps you in that spot that you're in that's your home when I have conversations with other homeless people these people are not ignorant they're not derelict they're not alcoholic drug addicts and that's all they are these people have a history and that history is more valuable to the United States and to the society then the people of this country really know we throw away valuable people for 20 years you know I played the piano and I had the strange idea since I was losing my apartment in Detroit I was pretty much dead I figured I'd come out here number one the warming the climate is warmer and I'd try my hand at maybe trying to be a musician you know but then I'm down here so I was working working working in is everything seems good but I didn't think about what might because we don't expect that I've been through a lot in my whole entire life my mom was addicted to crack she sold me to goat man when I was 11 he [ __ ] the [ __ ] out of me and rock my pelvis bone I've been through like a lot in English was my right my favorite class that was the only class that I've literally straight A's I mean throughout all of school from elementary junior high high school straight A's well they had a a poetry contest the first place was a fully paid for your tuition to Penn State and how to perform about God they were like I've Eve on first place knows like seriously but it was it was it was a happy moment for me it was probably the best moment in my life what was your major English English was my major [Music] humans don't change everybody eats humans don't change everybody sleeps humans are human I hope that people don't have to find themselves on the street but I hope they have a little more [ __ ] heart about what's on the street because they don't know that tomorrow it could be your pink slip tomorrow be your last patient and you're gonna need a lot of help when you get to that point so I hope that you realize what that person is going through in the street and if you could just help a little maybe what you do might help them back and maybe at the same time bless you not to be caught up in a to ran into an old girlfriend she was like you still indulging in crack I mean I had tried it here and there once before cuz like I said my mom smoked it took that first hit and I was like him cool took another hit okay cool three days later I like completely forgot that I was supposed to be at work two days before that I lost my job I drained my bank account I think I had like 400 left on my bank account and I ended up I was just stuck at the Ferguson put on the smallest little skirt that I had my wig on to my hair went outside right outside the Ferguson I mean like came out of my room and was on the sidewalk and a truck driver pulled me over and was like hey I'm linguist I got man gave me eight hundred dollars to suck a dick no lie I swear to God I got out the trunk and I left I was like oh yeah this'll work basically because I was smoking rock and I was smoking it so much that I was doing like [ __ ] for lifetime rocks in ten dollars um no I had just gotten to the point where I was just working for my crack any one day I was walking through the parking lot of BJ's market I [ __ ] him first I was like excuse me sorry but can I pay you for a cigarette and he looked up and he was like like that don't you come from a man company for songi dollar like you don't gotta pay me for you go I had been up for like two weeks straight I mean I was like this four days later I wake up and I'm still on this man's floor that's how I met him and he actually is the one that saved my life if if we're going to make this work you have to stop prostitute you have to stop and he's gotten the vision length beats the home be kidding me it took me literally one week um husband taught me I learned from my husband never be defeated if there's something that I want something that I need something that has to be done I get it done in like like my husband that's my home I mean even though I don't have a house in the nominator the tunnel that's my home if there's if there's anything on the face of this earth anything in this world that I need I don't have to ask him that's home [Music] [Music] [Applause]
