[Music] hey everyone this is manly badass hero and welcome to last light a horror game where a girl plays a scare game and ends up in a spooky hospital [Music] [Music] so [Music] hey wait a minute [Music] so this is actually a full voice acted game lumi's voice echoes in the empty room move lumi with the wasd keys and check icons displayed left click and hold down the mouse to check the item i'm getting already getting um corpse party vibes right now like a bit of corpse party and a bit of yomenwari not alone ring ring ring phone call [Music] foreign [Music] what are the odds they're all dead because of the whole like finer eye deeds thing that's a little suspicious right we are a very scared person [Music] an older elevator it's light blinking [Music] this whole place doesn't seem safe i see a skeleton of blood over there [Music] no just leave approach elevator and check to use only walk around actually no but look look at that skeleton that's clearly not just the model that thing has flesh and butt on run leave or not sure god this is such a bad idea [Music] yes [Music] response i appreciate being light in trap check out the map then we'll view it you were here if you go over there you can die if you want to okay and don't go over here here be spiders oh boy everything looks like it's like coated in rust and blood [Music] hmm there's a bad place it's not even like subtle bad it's just like yep oh no oh no i am some diary in possession or displayed in the inventory let's say we have salt i probably for spirits keys candles or some for lighting i'm assuming yeah scares him on the ground impaired movement and unwelcome beings place in the ground allowed to improve visibility straightforward and keys overlooking locked doors here's the id cards we have to help a whole ton but maybe like a darker zone oh no or my help of certain ghosts or things you may be deal they don't like light i imagine that's gonna be a big key thing yeah those are awful they are clearly leaking blood fear of light let's see shadow salt blind okay so yeah it doesn't like light okay it's just like i said i was like [Music] i don't like that area [Music] locked doors are unlocked by your keys below clicking open this is a full tutorial this one right there let's look around god this place is no good there's blood everywhere why don't we just leave this goes past it's should we open this door [Music] that's fine behind that locker if things go south [Music] i think there might be a puzzle tied to the opening of the the bathrooms stalls it's probably like you gotta like open them all up real fast and rush to a door or do something kind of thing can i open you on the other side no see you'll be something up there strange vending machines at hospital but killing looking drinks no clue what's inside [Music] funk a beverage is the span speed boob from the vending machine a savory red beverage [Music] such a brilliant red that makes you sick looking at it i wonder where it is maybe a sip on earth sure i'll take a sip [Music] it's just blood lumi pukes i can't get the taste out of my mouth i'm dying i'm i'm dying what i drink the ghost drink give me some salt director looks really young a director of this hospital [Music] i'd like the director upside down that might be or it could be relationship like that ghost right there looks like they went to the south oh god they're everywhere areas are big so we're here right now vending machines hmm smiley face room i like that that's promising [Applause] [Music] i always feel sleepy lately mom gives me so much medicine and she's really kind to me like long ago i don't play with kind people angels how can i go to the white building again oh i just need to find another dog i should be awarded i play with something again it's been lots of friends to play with whose voice is that outside he has no good maybe the other vending machines have good things see on the map how like they were marked i hear it doors can you yo you just call so you just walk for the doors also i woke up in the morning the white building i was right this is my award for playing nicely the angels here love me nobody gives me disgusting faces i listen to other people visiting here and they all love to play good people playing is awesome [Music] so my assumption is the diaries have to do with the uh interesting that this door was locked there was no men selling chicks today so i brought along a dog and played with me played with it in the classroom uh-oh my teacher came and dragged me off to her office mom came to pick me up and she hugged me crying mom let me out of the school and after a long drive we arrived at a white building whenever the building everyone's small to me angels i'm not used to people smiling at me it's made me really happy when we get home mom gave me a gross load of medicine capsules so when i finally finished taking the medicine mom said i don't have to go to school anymore that's a change of heart let's use another soda machine one of these gonna kill me funk [Music] oh it's working a crystal clear beverage there's something inside right it looks empty i don't know what it is maybe a sip won't hurt i'll take a sip no smell it's empty i feel dizzy oh that was what isn't killed i'm off wait we respawn in the elevator hmm ow the ouch the other locker but they're kind of sparse in a weird way moonwalk out of here i think we're slowly backing ourselves into a dead end get the diary i don't want to go to school why does everyone laugh at me they ever ask me mocking when i get angry where's the fun on that will they be laughing if i do something to them i go out to the playground during break i like to play with ants the break flies by when i play with the goons in my mind these guys can't come and bully me for being a nerd i wish those goons would turn into ants you see what you mean by flying [Applause] the bullying stopped all of why yay a sudden and everyone's looking me weird but then again that's always been the case whatever it is hope they keep leaving me alone but what happened i think it's after i started playing with chicks did i scare them goons [Music] there's the duck kid i don't know what you want i'll get to you in a second some old man was selling chicks in front of school 20 cents i had some quarters in my pocket so i bought a few it's chirping irritated me it reminded me of the goons play time it's nothing to squash a chick just like ants they already stopped moving unless i'm using the ants when the goons came by but mainly ran off seemed really petrified what's the deal i could treat worse in this all time and i have to face some hope again tomorrow would be nice of school caught on fire no it's right behind me isn't it hey can't fight back your mom says it's my problem the school sucks she aside saying i'm only to deal with it what do i do what's gonna stop them i should get by a car and stop coming to school those didn't mean the other drink the nashville seems to be glaring at the beverage the best child takes a drink and that's how disappears in satisfaction something drops yeah see the school ideas are makes you think that they're dead hell we might be deaf maybe the lord then we might be the ones luring them in that might be the twist we're the ghost it just smells like a funnel slot here though it doesn't have a card in it that's a little weird and here's the upper ghost the boy disappears greeting at lumi flop [Music] hence [Music] i'm hoping it's just water but it looks like it's kind of like staining right [Music] [Music] to the over in the top right [Music] no i don't know can i get a distance there's two of them now this way wait we cannot run them go for the elevator forget it let's go go go go go a black figure passes behind the dim light [Music] wrong [Music] i can't get out here before the braves it's like catch up okay this one goes a little too [Music] no response so we have at least two different ghosts and a bow which could be never a ghost could be not so there's four floors of the game at least on the surface you get two here then two there that would make sense but then this this last slots the wild card now i'm curious about [Music] also the layout's very square it's not as big as the previous floor it's more linear so it's just like ghost elevators right there too uh there's a arrow there saying it's crossed out which is kind of interesting actually you go up here ghost then yeah so is it we're pretty good on uh supplies oh god i'm really not gonna like loot everything anymore i'm just gonna kind of move forward as if i feel like i need supplies i'm like all right let's go loot some stuff you should run away that's what you should do oh office alone [Applause] [Music] foreign this whole setup is really fishy but i keep saying that foreign foreign yeah that's uh a vacuum ghost maybe it's like a walking stick can't sand it everywhere those eyes glaring me trying to look away put eyes don't butt eyes just follow me nah kittens are so cute because they are cute kitty kitty kitty kitty that's not the first kitty we've seen what's going on in here a desk is powered with blood it's for something later yeah see all these kind of kid rooms put a kennel here locker right there don't do that here we go oh no it seemed like only an instant a man wearing a hat stormed in and began stabbing my friends they were screaming gusting of blood but i couldn't do anything i'm afraid of being found so i couldn't do anything i'm sorry sorry sorry blood spurring all over cameron that was in man left couldn't come out of cabinet hmm this one didn't move i was taking the advice yeah it's based on movement i think grab this real quick scary scary scary scary locker locker locker we're getting we're getting inserted grab this the lock in my room is making weird noise the screeching noise is getting gradually worse and it's turning red rust creepy when it's open it looks like it's trying to eat me what in the world is that sound whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa got this i can't stand darkness i see that man's face i see his face everywhere laughing how can we liberate from this hell the man's face gets gradually bigger turns into a grotesque monster growing horns keeps getting bigger trinity just eyes eyes bigger than myself good cool that was close okay now we can explore i twittered this hospital i wonder if it was like something like weird backer donation things for the developers there's one of those things let's go to the direction the heck is wrong with everyone nobody believes when i tell him my friend squirrel wakes up at night so i keep it lit up with candles everyone can see just every night when the cows went out and they woke up to play i hate dark don't trust the doll [Applause] a child is standing holding a dog [Music] [Music] oh [Music] squirrel doll hmm what doll where is he come in here well it really is a double horns hmm [Applause] useless useless it was just never ordinary day i was dividing my close friends over my house to study together as i was cleaning my room and organized my clothes i came up with the idea to hide in the cabinet as a prank i heard my friends arrived downstairs modeled them to my room and asked them to wait for me to return so my friends started studying without me as i was pointing when they come out heard glass chattering downstairs hmm what's up we got the chance hmm what was that no seriously what was that uh [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] on the map this area hmm no oh here it is look a bloody locker now what there's a lot more creepier things and sounds in here they don't hair bad sweet there's one down it's going over there right in here here you go [Music] it goes disappeared smiling something drops where the girl was standing [Music] shut up ralph it's a sad game that's a cool cat [Music] i have they haven't foreign the wild contemplation cat and that's yeah the last tire picture of this floor i'm wondering if these stores are connected or what hand it over the blade door oh the boy strapped his student id and disappeared thanks and this sucks [Laughter] man i'm really curious these kids got their comeuppance something happened to him or is going to happen to him foreign foreign into the darkness [Music] [Music] you're all dead this should be the last floor going by the game structure [Music] oh hey buddy cats sing in front of elevator intensifies kept grooming myself in boredom foreign [Music] thinking equals third floor don't say that super saiyan blue wait oh what i touched the candles yes he puts him out because me on fire it's tricked the flame yeah appreciate the whole place of the trap we're looking at hmm horns bottom spooky horns in the bottom right end in the top right scalpel because i think that's what that symbol is some kind of bandage goes in the middle and there's some stuff going on in the north hmm [Applause] yep this is bad we just started we're being chased got this real quick surgical instruments needle holders tractor scalpels i don't know what's going to be used for but used for something that's the uh that's the fire ghost blissful sort of sucks locker right there plane ghost i don't know if you directly pursue me or not or if you just go for the fires anything near it there's that ghost i visit director's room again today i hate the director every time i visit that room it's dark the walls are scary i don't want to but i get shot that child that visited the room and while back hasn't returned am i next hey let's not judge your body [Music] foreign okay let's keep an eye out for a body nothing fast you can spin around looks like it only responds to like direct physical hmm see a locker right there pull light down hello as always mom and dad were fighting i always sit in my room staring at the candle light you look fairly uh fairly edgy we gotta get the tools okay so we know what one is nope nope nope nope there was a locker nearby like a new bot oh no the wraith not the wraith the other thing is after me now too grab this real quick are you sure we should be helping you you're kind of scary i think we're good i wanted laughing whoa is this getting a little bit weird there's another director yeah he's gonna be like devs or backers secretary is last time you can't get in there normally we do have to trigger the thing let's put some salt down maybe some lights i don't know if that's gonna help then we'll need to find a locker right away [Applause] they [Music] we're in a bad spot this is what we needed so my last three dire entries are in these two rooms um i have looted everything in the game and i have not gotten any more keys since the start of the game since i was only like two keys in the game and you gotta save one of these two spare doors um i don't know if i never having to use those keys anywhere if i just use them randomly um or it's a bit of a minor bug and then just not spawning enough keys based on the rng percentages which i think is also possible because like i said it may be randomized items but may just you know might not be spawning them so sadly we can't get the list of diaries let's just turn our item oh you want all of them is [Music] okay we go the far right [Music] are we good enter the tool [Music] she foreign so that's it for last light before i get into my summary i will note that it looked like there was some slight changes in the dialogue for when we restarted and i believe we've entered normal mode so the first one the game is called easy mode going by the achievements second run i assume is normal mode looked like our character had some slight acknowledgement she was going through a loop but it was really subtle and then there's a third difficulty called hard mode now i don't know if there's any major changes i doubt there's really major changes the normal mode looked like it added you your flashlight has sometimes turns off and you have to like shake it and stuff i don't know what hard mode does i don't know if there's a new ending maybe if you beat hard milk maybe you break out of the loop there's a possibility you don't it is curious that they locked the difficulties behind beating the game over and over and not just from the start so i'm a little curious about that but i will note they released a patch so i played this game when i said released uh overnight into the morning actually and they released a patch the next day completely wiped the saves um so even if i want to go and check that out again i can't and even if the save was still there i'm not sure if i'm really up to playing the game three times in a row to see if it's new ending because i think we get to just the storyline either way and i suspect that just might be the ending there was also the slight bug with the keys where where it did not spawn any more keys and started spawning less items as i kind of went for some people this apparently is upgraded to a full bore no item spawn period bug so they're still kind of working out some things i think now on to the actual game so we know the story i'm not going to go into it it's very obvious what the story is spoiling loops murdered everyone spooky hospital i think the story is perfectly fine it's a little bit shlocky but the uh the art is very good the art is very creepy the voice acting is actually pretty good the the ghosts and the monsters when we do see them are scary the levels themselves are scary looking uh i would say the the biggest flaw of the game would be the pace because the the gameplay loop is it's essentially a maze game where you have a big stage and you have to like kind of go around navigating everything but there's not too many events in that maze you know aside from like a little bit of stealth and kind of avoiding the ghosts and everything um i chopped out quite a bit of the gameplay because it got very redundant so in general i generally do a lot of editing on my videos are highly edited most people don't notice that because the editing is that good and usually that smooth but this one in particular i cut down about an extra hour and a half in footage because the vast majority of the game is fairly slow paced or just like i said you're going around being a little stealthy trying to avoid the ghosts going into the lockers there is not too many cool events which is too bad because the cool little events are a little interesting and catch you off guard so i think the game is very structurally sound it's very similar to yamawari nine alone uh yomenwari nylon actually also had some uh similar pacing issues but yomowari probably has such a huge variety and secrets and things you can find at least in the main town not in the main story route that it kind of kept the interest going all the way like i said it definitely had major pacing issues probably worse in this game actually once it got towards the the dragging parts towards the end but i think these developers have a lot of talent i think they have a lot of potential i would love to see every game from them and it's really not a bad game at all i'm mainly laying out these criticisms for their benefit so they kind of like look at and say like all right here's where we tighten up the game and etcetera etcetera they ever make a uh maybe a spiritual sequel or a similar kind of game but yeah summed up short solid actual game gameplay loop in pacing is where your flaws are anyway so think of once you play last light i'll see you guys later and take it easy you

I almost mistaken this for a Doom mod with a similar name when I saw the title the first time.
