Lamborghini Urus vs 700HP Mercedes-AMG G63 // DRAG & ROLL RACE

you're watching throttle house and this is a drag race look at that welcome to the throttle house test track our very own corner of the earth where we can drag race and set lap times i'm thomas and i'm james and this is the lamborghini urus versus the legend the g63 amg a legend yes a straight line rocket well with enough power maybe but we'll get to that in a second regardless the g63 packs a full fat handcrafted twin turbo four liter amg v8 punch that roars which is good because it weighs almost six thousand pounds and is going up against quite an angry ball anger no full-on psychotic performance yes from an suv capable of a great many things we know this because we did some pretty daring stunts with it in our initial review but today is about going in a straight line very quickly something the urus can do really really well it's about a thousand pounds lighter than that amg and it puts out 641 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque thanks to its twin-turbo v8 if you're new to finally get to win because i'm in the higher horsepower car and he'll see what losing's all about because this only has 577 when it's stuck but this has been tuned and actually has 700 horsepower to the wheels so even though i don't have lord control and he does i'm really hoping this is going to have a huge kick to it and if i can't take him in the dig we are going to do a rolling race as well so i'm hoping that's where i can beat him in addition or just beat him because this is still about as aerodynamic as a bus and looks like a bus and it turns like a bus and it feels like a bus is it a bus okay i'm just gonna take a photo of this moment so i can remember this is the day that i beat james engelsman in a drag race because there is absolutely no way a g wagon can beat an urus this thing has crazy launch control twin turbo v8 turn the air conditioning off so it's hot in here and left foot on the brake plant the throttle in corsa mode this thing takes off like a mental patient why has no one modified a g-wagon to look like a yellow school bus that would be brilliant everyone murders it out chromes it golds it but make it look like a school bus then i'll be entertained one of the most ridiculous vehicles we've ever driven on throttle house and now we're putting on a drag strip which makes even more ridiculous drive here we go here we go oh he's got a great launch oh my god there's no steering no weight over those front wheels oh i can't catch him it's a suspiciously fast g-wagon actually but oh my god theorist is they're gonna dive under brakes oh that is hilarious oh wow i won i just won a drag race no see what happened was okay no i got nothing you did you just lost that's what happened this hasn't got launch control oh whatever you know what let's do one more from a dig and i'm gonna be more aggressive with the with the launch all right all right all right all right he round two can't win a nervous this is the fastest suv ever okay here we go and go fed up oh my god i got a really good launch oh he's still taking me how is that thing it's almost keeping up with me that's ridiculous oh this thing is so fast and the bolsters are trying to grab me [Music] oh that's one of them over 200 kilometers an hour trap speed at the end there oh that's 189 across the line there oh that is absurd this thing is super car fast super i don't care everyone tells you it's an audi rsq8 that's not a thing i don't care what anybody says so i got a much better launch there that's a suspiciously fast g-wagon you have there no no no it's because you had a big breakfast we just we talked about this i didn't have the extra egg i did i did do that oatmeal and and ham and bacon yeah yeah no you're right though it does feel that's a little bit quicker than i'm used to that's not the stocking that's not the stock okay so let's do a roll race okay let's see what happens because you obviously have me on the launch all right you're in a button-down car i've only got 577 odd horsepower give or take a couple of hundred and then we'll do a roll okay all right this car does not auto up shift when you manually shift and i'm holding it in the gear to have the most torque we drive by the start line and go shift up oh so much boost i can't take him i can't take him he doesn't have a chance he's really close though for being a g that's a truck everybody that is a truck oh there's only two car lengths though only two car lengths that's a quick vehicle they they did a great job mercedes had a great job with what they did a great job making a mercedes made a fast g63 that's not stuck because this is the fastest suv ever well then this is the second fastest okay all right how many horsepower does it have lots it's tuned obviously how many horsepower does it have so it's got 700 to the wheels assume 750-ish yeah it doesn't matter i still won you did win you did win this this the the era of assuming the car james is in wins is over the time of the orc has
