AMG G63 vs Range Rover Sport SVR: TUG OF WAR - Mat vs Yianni!

hi everyone Matt Watson here from car Wow so I'm sat in an AMG G 63 and behind me is a Range Rover Sport SVR and we're gonna have a tug-of-war now let me just tell you about this car it's got a twin turbo four-litre v8 585 horsepower 850 Newton meters of torque obviously it's all-wheel-drive we've got a 9 speed automatic gearbox tell you about the Range Rover I'm gonna hand you over to tone up it's yummy from Janna Mize it is the first time I've done a tug of war and I'm using my chrome rose gold brand new Range Rover SVR to do in so I'm not sure that rose gold gonna help anyway what's the stats on your car so she's a 5 liter v8 supercharged petrol 575 brake horsepower 700 Newton meters 8-speed gearbox full wheel drive 2.4 tonnes I want to say yeah this one's a bit heavy I know that does help I tell you what your car range for the gearbox driving on grass so this car that I've gots got three diff locks front middle and rear I've got them all in the lock setting and I'm in low range and in a trial mode honestly I'm not that confident is the honest truth however you know I may always give it a go and if I lose I'll blame someone else do you want to count it in okay I'll count it in you ready ease forward so they're like just straining a little bit low traction launch available below 90 mile an hour 3 to go come on okay okay hello hello come on baby no no this is working all right no no come on come on come on wailing we split down [Music] right stop stop my car throwing up a front rear differential lock system malfunction I won that I won that if he's got a fault I win that's not my point let me just drive it a little bit disconnect the rope from the back though yeah yeah oh no accelerant at the same time Oh kill him murder him fully I know he's gonna hate him the dis hadn't fully engaged so they're trying to engage when I was revving the engine like that and it just went no don't do that you're gonna damage the thing I'd like to do was stop and start the car disengage the diffs and it was all fine they're now fully engaged ready to go I'll take that second time lucky let's have a go at this again so I kinda in then you ready I'm literally going through the gears he's smoking and praying or the mother you are smoking mate I'm literally digging a hole I'll even know what happens well that was a deadiy covered in mud all right I've got an idea seeing as it's a dead heat I know the weight does make a difference especially over the back acts when you do that because obviously tires are just spinning why don't you add some ballast to your car so I've got a friend of mine it's about six foot five and he's here so I might put him in the car so I bring him in by the way bringing me and put him in the car Daniel let's go am i putting her in the front see you're in the back seat put me in the front oh god lemon this is Daniel by the way everyone just stay here just be heavy I'm going to try starting in second gear see if that helps I I've turned off my differential locks and that has poorly cause Stability control back on and I put the setting now into slippery so white might they know is not let the car spin of its wheels they log I mean I'm just not doing that Range Rover they say they bring off-road they build brilliant off-roaders and I think you proved that take your G Wagen tonight's bridge mate and leave me and my Mercedes can't believe you lost the mighty Jeep lost time did that happen well after reviewing this footage I can tell you how my beloved Mercedes got beaten you see when you use the G's differential locks it's automatically disengages traction control however the Range Rover doesn't it's electronic Terrain Response system can still balance power of wail braking to prevent its tyres from losing grip and spin up if you look closely at the start of each took a war you can see the G Wagen actually start to pull the Range Rover backwards but then as soon as the German starts lose traction if tires spin up and this gives them more composed and controlled Range Rover at the chance to turn the tide it's clever traction control system steadily maintaining forward momentum and when he combined this ability with the added weight of Yanni's hulk-like friend this was enough to secure the SVR victory again and again [Music]
