Hello, in this video I'm going to show you
how I do keyword research and my workflow using my favourite keyword research tool. Hello and thanks for joining in. My name is Uzair and in this video I'm going
to show you my keyword research workflow. Before I write any piece of content, a blog
post, create a new video or launch a paid advertising campaign on Google or YouTube. Now the software which I'm going to show you
is one of the best out there at the moment, and it is my absolute favourite. It's super simple to use and the results you
get are amazing. Before I start, if you have a question or
a problem about online marketing and you would like me to create a video like this one, then
please drop it in the comments box below in YouTube and I will do my best to create one
for you. So let's get started. So the tool which I use is called Mangools.com,
and you go to the KWFinder tab, which is the keyword finder or the keyword research. What this tool allows us to do is to be able
to find long tail keywords which are very easy to rank and have got very low SEO difficulty. Because we don't want to fight or rank or
go after keywords which are very difficult to rank and that's where the frustration comes
in. Lots of people try blogging, creating videos
and great content, but they pick up the wrong keywords. So it's very, very important that you pick
the right keywords because you want to get ranked in Google and start driving traffic
to your website as quickly as possible. And being able to do that with a long tail
keyword is super easy and the smart way to get ranked. So all you do is you need to have your, keyword
or key phrase or an idea and enter them in here and click the find button. So I've got a list of keywords which I'm going
to go after. So let me bring this up on the screen and
it is here. OK, so I've got these about one, two, three,
four, five, six, seven, eight keywords. So I'm going to go after all of these ones
and make a list as to which ones are very simple and super easy to rank and which key
words are difficult to, rank and if I can find some easy ones to rank for pretty much
all of these key phrases. So, I'm going to start with gluten free home
baking. So, I haven't done this before, so I don't
know what results are we going to get. But yeah, we'll see how the keyword research
is done in it, and this process applies to pretty much every time you keyword research. So, as we can see over here, I've got a list
of keywords and phrases. So what do you want to be looking for is three
words or more. So, I try and avoid two word phrases because
they are very, very difficult to rank. So three or more is good. So, I've got my column for the suggestions. Then we've got the trend. Now as we can see that there is a trend on
this key phrase where there's a really big spike and the rest of the year, there's not
many searches, so I guess it would be around Christmas time. That's why there's that spike, but most of
them have got a good a number of searches across the 12 months. So that's what you want to take into account
as well that you don't want keywords like this where all year long you don't get any
traffic, but over two months or so, you get a lot of traffic. The next column is the search volume, as to
how many searches per month, are being made for a particular keyword. So if I sort them out by the search volume,
you can see gluten-free has got 201,273, 165,000 and so on. So they've got huge amount of traffic. So it's all well and good. Everybody will want to go after this keyword,
but then there will be a lot of competition for this keyword as well because of the amount
of search traffic. Then you also get an indication of the cost
per click. So if you are doing Google AdWords, then you
can get an idea as to how much you will pay per click. Then we've got the PPC competition as to how
many advertisers are competing for that keyword. So minimum is zero, it's low volume and maximum
is hundred. That means there's loads of people bidding
for that keyword. So, in this case over here, we've got hundreds
so, we know that there is a lot of competition for that keyword. Now competition is good, you know, don't be
scared of competition because other competitors or your competitors are bidding for that keyword
and they are making money. If they weren't making money or getting a
positive return on the investment, then they won't be bidding on that keyword. So, I always look at competition as a good
thing because then I will also get a piece of the cake. And then here is the important bit, it's the
difficulty. So, if you hover the mouse over the question
mark and you will see that, the difficulty is between zero to a hundred, where zero is
really easy to rank and hundred is very difficult. Anything under 30 would be ideal and I would
go off to that keyword. So, at the moment I've got this keyword which
is gluten free, home baking as 45, so it is possible to get ranked, but you will need
to do a bit of work on it and your website would need to have a bit of authority. So it's kind of like going to the gym. If you start from day one. You're not going to build up your strength,
stamina, muscles within a week. As long as you keep on doing those exercises
and keep going to the gym regularly, you are going to build up that strength and then it
will be difficult for your competitors to compete with you. And the same thing applies with websites. You need to build your websites' muscle, strength
and stamina. So when your competitors compete against you,
they can't knock you down in Google rankings. We see over here the top 10 results on the
Google page and you also see how easy or difficult it is to get ranked. Most of these in the top nine are pretty strong,
if I was going after this keyword, I would avoid it because there is a bit of work to
be done except that last one which hasn't got much authority. So let's have a look as to what this website
is all about. And why is that getting ranked? Because sometimes people make these one page
affiliate websites. No, it's not a one page one, but it is a very
small website. So, as you can see five or six pages long,
you got YouTube recipes, but there aren't any videos on this page even though it says
Youtube. So you've got a few recipes and so on. So this website will be fairly easy to knock
down and replace the number 10 spot with our website. But we don't want to be number ten on Google. We want to be in the top three, ideally the
top one. So, I'm going to go and have a little look
as to what I've got. OK, so now we're starting to get some more
keywords. Is Baking powder gluten free? Although it is easy to rank, it may not be
the right keywords, so I'm not going to go after that one. Gluten free, dairy free desserts, so that
could be a good one because it has got a great number of search volume and it is easy to
rank. So, on the KWFinder, when it shows you green,
it means it's good to go, go for it and we've got some more over here. Now we can start to see how you can get really
good other ideas which you may not have considered before. Gluten free lunch ideas. Is yeast gluten free? Is Milk Gluten free? Now these kinds of key phrases, it hasn't
got a lot of buyers intent, so what do you want to do is to be able to get, and research
some keywords which has got a bit of commercial value where you know that people are looking
to buy. So, for example, gluten free cake mix. That is a good key word. If you were selling a cake mix than people
are looking to buy this or if you had free recipes on your website, then that would be
a great keyword to go after. Gluten free wraps. So these are all good ones, but I won't go
after this one hence the competition is low because nobody's bidding for that keyword
or going after that keyword. Now this is a great one. Vegan, gluten free cake. I got 3168 search volume per month and the
difficulty level is low as well. So, what I tend to do is then copy that and
I enter them onto my spreadsheet like that and I'll enter the difficulty and, just keep
building up my list. What's the number, three, one six, eight. Three, one, six, eight. Now here's the interesting thing. As soon as I clicked on it, on the right hand
side, you see the top 10 results on Google and now you can see most of them aren't very
strong and optimised. So going after a keyword like that would get
you in the top 10. So, what you need to do is to create a good
quality blog post with a video, optimise it properly, keyword it correctly, and you'll
start to see the results very, very quickly. And I'm not saying that you're going to get
indexed in Google overnight, but you keep on doing these. Take small steps. So we are going after the low value keywords
and really taking baby steps and slowly, slowly you'll start to get traffic. And once you are ranked in Google and you
build up your Domain Authority, it's very difficult for your competitors to compete
against you and you will maintain that ranking and you're going to get free traffic to your
website. OK. So, gluten-free
home baking. I got something but not a huge amount of searches. So let's try another one. See what happens. OK. So, it's not showing me some more results
over here. Could be a bit of a glitch on the system,
but I've got the top 10 and again I've got the green ranking signals. Where the software is telling me that it's
not really competitive. Let me try again. See what happens now. OK, let me try another one. Typical, when I'm getting this problem while
I'm recording the video, but this is a really good one because most of the rankings on page
one, they're all very, very weak. So, I can pretty much go after this keyword
and start creating content. I'll try one more time and see what happens. Yeah, just doing something. Oh, OK, it's back, back again. I've got one, two, three, so three links on
Google which can be beaten, but then the rest of them are very, very difficult. I would not try to beat them up because these
are high authority websites. Let's go and have a look. OK, so it's a nicely designed website. It's got quite a bit of content, recipes,
etc. So they have built up this authority over
a long period of time and it doesn't happen overnight. OK. Dairy free butter, unless you're a manufacturer,
then that's a good keyword for you. So, that's a good one. If you got a recipe, then you can sell. Gluten free dairy free desserts, OK. Gluten free, dairy free. So I'm looking for the green ones and when
you see a magnifying glass, that means the software hasn't got a difficulty level and
all you do is click on it and you'll see on the right hand side, so 46. I'm going to avoid it. I don't want to pick a fight with a difficult
to rank keywords, gluten and lactose free recipes. All you do is just keep taking these keywords,
see what the search volume is. Sometimes low volume keywords are great because
although they are, they've got very little traffic, but they can work very well and you
only need a handful of conversions, unless you're Amazon where you want millions of them,
but then they will go after the high volume keywords and they will get ranked very quickly
and easily. Gluten free. Gluten, dairy free recipes. So, you got my jist. So, this is how you do your keyword research. You build a list of keywords which are easy
to rank, create high quality content, create a video as well because videos get ranked
very, very quickly and easily as well. And you will start to drive free traffic to
your website. So I hope you enjoyed this video. Don't forget to hit the subscribe bell button
