god has ordered this service i believe you'll see why in just a moment you want to make religion mad let's have revival this morning [Music] [Applause] let's have revival this morning [Applause] the primary irritant of revival is religion and the antagonist to religion is revival with everything that's within us this morning oh god may we hear deeply in our hearts and our spirits what it means to say we have revival what it means to say we want to pay the price for revival please tell three or four people around you there's a high price there's a high price look at somebody behind you and say i'm all in as pastor karen said somebody say i'm ready to answer the call today i know as preachers we have you all repeat a lot of stuff but it's necessary today because there's power in agreement come on there's power in agreement and we stir one another's faith today i'm a bit emotional in my spirit as i step into this city which he said is whatever he just said the statistics were of the most churched or whatever it is and i say in the name of jesus give us a move of god in chattanooga in the name of jesus give us a move of god in tennessee in the name of jesus give us a move of god in this southeast region in the name of jesus give us a nation-shaking making revival just to make religion mad oh god set us ablaze with a passion for your presence as never before in the name of jesus i see chattanooga awaken to the voice of revival i say chattanooga awaken to the voice of revival in the name of jesus lift your hands pray in the holy ghost come on come on lift it loud lift it here he said it is about preparing the way kim it is about preparing the way now you hear what i'm about to say i unders i don't know all of the history of ramp church i know that it is a legacy in our nation and we have the general and the birther of this movement with us this morning i honor her i honor your pastors that are here this morning hear what i'm about to say i i appreciate the kind words uh that pastors said about fresh start about the revival and i'll talk a little bit about it this morning not a lot just referencing it but you hear what i'm saying right now i am not satisfied are you hearing me i am not satisfied i am not satisfied pastor karen pastor andrew anybody else in the room i am not satisfied this is why i'm emotional this morning i'm telling you the spirit of god is in this place today but god has put a vision i don't even want to call it that because we overuse words in the body of christ but y'all know what i'm saying god has put a burden of pastors in my heart and in my spirit that it is time chattanooga to see a nation shaking his stream making revival like we have not seen yet and i want you to look at me i know you don't know me well but you understand this god has done great things here god has done great things through ramp and the legacy god is doing great things in phoenix arizona through fresh start revival but god has dropped something and this is why i'm emotional today i mean i'll be screaming or i'll be crying come on somebody this is church this is this is revival god has put a burden on the inside of me to not relent and to not give up until we see cities bowing under the weight of his glory until we see territories bowing under the weight of his presence until i see the bars emptied and the clubs being overtaken by the presence and the power of god god has put a burden within me you hear me this is why i was so appropriate that we said that they danced through and i'm answering the call today i'm answering the calls today you hear what i'm about to say no more sleepy sunday mornings chattanooga come on [Applause] [Music] i need a louder shot than that i said no more sleepy sunny mornings no more sleepy wednesday nights no more and and pastor said it a couple of times awake old sleeper awake old sleeper you hear what i'm saying god is stirring his church in this nation in this hour and we will either get on this side of the line or that side of the line we're going to be on the awakened side that is radical that is that has conviction of his presence and his glory or we're going to be on the other side that is sleepy and that is compromising and that is glowed into some kind of the end time bedtime stories by satan himself god says choose choose which side of the line that you're going to be on and god says it is the remnant that is awake and that is fervent and that will answer the call to the calls that i have for america right now and i say chattanooga this nation needs you to hold up your end of revival this nation needs you to hold up your end of revival [Music] we've got the west coast does anybody have the east coast come on [Applause] no more sleepy sunny mornings he's put a conviction in me that literally as we give ourselves to him he will move through us to establish a nation shaking and a history-making revival before i preach lift up your hands right now one more is coming god has heard your prayers he's heard your prayers pastor now i know you're under the covering of the ram but you're digging wells in this city [Music] religion yeah yeah the revival is greater than religion be bold people that are part of this church you need to gather around the vision of a move of god in this place and know that god can shake this city he can shake this city this religious city with his presence there's gonna come a day pastor andrew and it will be soon keep digging you won't have to work anything up you have to work anything up now i'm a preacher preacher and you know that you watch you hear you understand i'm not talking about that i'm just saying that you're gonna come in and the presence is gonna don't grow weary and well doing keep digging the wells and god is dropping an identity on you you hear me god is dropping an identity on you i don't want to trip over my wardrobe here he's dropping an identity on you now you don't have to worry don't be like this one like that when you hear me now identity's coming he's got a name he's got your name and your name is andrew but he's got your name and anointing and mantle hallelujah in the name of jesus in the name of jesus he hears your prayers my mind let me read the scripture and uh keep playing for a moment and i'll let you be seated god has put this conviction in me i have many messages that i can preach on revival on religion but a good portion of this is new today because the scripture is very very familiar revival scripture but the lord has been ministering to me out of this scripture recently again but in a deeper way and it is this isaiah 64 1-4 oh that you would rin the heavens [Music] that you would come down and i'm going to add a little bit to it all right lord that you would manifest your presence manifest your presence please look at your neighbors say we need him to manifest in chattanooga we need him to manifest in america and it goes on to say that the mountains the obstacles the mountains the obstacles the pride the unbelief the lust the ambition the mammon the materialism all satanic strongholds ain't nobody hearing what i'm saying this morning that the mountains the obstacles all of that i named and more might shake at your presence shake at your presence not at pastor kim's preaching not at pastor karen's preaching or pastor andrew not at this conference not at that come on somebody but that the mountains the obstacles everything that we're facing in america today would literally shake at your presence please shout is at his presence it's by his presence that obstacles shake as fire burns brushwood as fire causes water to boil watch this to make your name known to your adversaries to make your name known lord to sin to sickness to death to jezebel come on to make your name known to your adversaries that the nations may tremble at what at your presence [Music] when you did awesome things for which we did not look or expect do you believe with me today that god is going to begin as we give ourselves to revival as we give ourselves to answer the call and the calls that god is going to hear our prayer from heaven and we're going to be walking down the streets maybe walking into church one day and then all of a sudden because of prayers that we pray prayed and the price that we paid that god is going to begin to do things that we don't even expect at the moment he's going to begin to break in and shake he's going to begin to break in with miracles and the supernatural i believe the pastor said it earlier we need the supernatural in our nation [Applause] [Music] he today you did awesome things for which we did not expect you came down god and the mountains or the obstacles shook at your presence for since the beginning of the world men have not heard nor perceived by ear nor has the eye seen watch this any god besides you who acts for the one who waits for him who acts for the one who waits for him i preached to you this morning in chattanooga tennessee at the ramp church we are believing i am believing for a nation-shaking history making revival [Music] so that the next generation will have a reference point i say it again so you can think about it so that the next generation can have a reference point to look back and say god did this for them he'll do that and more for us do i have anybody at ramp church chattanooga that can believe with me that a conviction that god has dropped in my heart that there is yet to come a revival in our nation that shakes every mountain and obstacles shout yes if you believe it today [Applause] you can be seated you can be seated hallelujah thank you my brother what awesome accompaniment there we must have the manifestation of his presence in our nation that shakes every obstacle recently the holy spirit dropped the phrase that i just shared with you and he dropped it with a desire in my spirit more more more like a gripping in my spirit has anybody ever been gripped by the holy spirit before come on more like a gripping in my spirit said i'm believing for a nation-shaking history-making revival so that the next generation has a reference point it has a standard it has a basis a comparison or a criterion are you hearing what i'm saying this morning in the context even of the revival that has broke out now we're in our seventh year of sustained revival at fresh start in phoenix arizona our desire our zeal our fervency our hunger it hasn't diminished it has only grown and i stand here on this platform uh if you've watched us or even if you haven't watched if you visit us you know what god is doing but i'm telling you as i said a moment ago i am not satisfied i felt a prompting of the holy spirit to say kim are you willing to pay a price so that future generations have a standard or a reference point about revival from your generation do you this morning have the same conviction to pay the price that the generations coming behind us will have a reference point i want to pray i want to fast i want to worship i want to do whatever is necessary to have a move of god so that the ones coming up behind us can read about and i'm not just talking about getting my name on or in a book i'm talking about whatever it takes for somebody to look back and be able to say god moved and he'll move with us now i love to reference revival and study revivals of the past far or more recent they have helped even set a standard for fresh start revival reading about the possibilities of what god will do if there is a company of people that is hungry enough to pay the price to see god move again or exceed what he has done in the past and i think about what grit me the most in the moment with the phrase a nation-shaking history-making revival and what gripped me the most was thinking about the responsibility of seeing this manifest in my generation who will pay the price who will sustain the longing long enough to see the standard and yet greater and so as i was coming here to chattanooga i felt the lord say prepare the way kim prepare the way kim prepare the way and so i look at you today chattanooga ramp and i say prepare the way prepare the way prepare the way for what god wants to do can god do it here yes god can do it here if we will pay the price i say today who will set the bar for the next generation and when i say generation i'm not just speaking about an age group but i'm speaking about a segment of time in which we exist you may be 18 years old in here this morning or you may be 80 years old but we are all alive at this moment and it is this moment that we are responsible for can we say as was said of david that we have served our generation well come on ask your somebody have you served your generation well acts chapter 13 verse 36 for david after he has served god's purpose in his own generation he fell asleep and was buried among his fathers may i read to you this morning what a.w tozer said about this scripture he said to fall asleep before we have served our generation it's nothing short of tragic it is a moral calamity to sleep without first having labored to bless the world [Applause] no man he says has any right to die until he has put mankind into debt for him or to him and has wrought to take something of the earth out of the hearts of men and help free men from the tyranny of the same earth and pointed them to that kingdom that will abide after the heavens and the earth are no more did you hear what i just read to you today we cannot fall asleep or in this context pass away until we have served our generation well i don't know about you but yes i want to make religion mad and let me tell you how you make religion mad you don't make religion mad by placating to it but come on by my come on by placating to it and by nestling up next to it and just saying oh well i guess it's just taking over no you have to stand up with a voice that says that i am alive in this generation and i will not fall to sleep or take my step into eternity until i have served my generation well and as long as i have a voice and as long as i have breath in my lungs yes i will make religion mad but i'm gonna make it mad by pushing and pressing for a move of god that absolutely is undeniable they'll try to mark it they'll try to talk against it but the evidence and the result says god came down and shook the obstacles [Applause] yes yes serve your generation well most of us hopefully are not thinking about passing away right now but i can say this i've lived a few years on this earth with each passing year and each passing yes loved one the reality of how short of a span of time that each of us have to make a mark on our generation becomes ever more realistic so i asked us today what's going to mark our generation's moment in time whether you're 18 or 80 in the room today what's going to mark our generation's moment in time and i want to pause again and say i am not belittling any move of god or any kind of of favor and success that god has given to ministries i am just believing that god has to come down in the middle of the mess in this nation and there has to be a supernatural confrontation with everything come on that the devil is working in our nation right now what's going to mark our generation's moment in time what stories are they going to be telling about us come on somebody will there be stories come on now if you let religion have its way there will be no stories help me church help me church [Applause] what nation's shaking history-making mark will be attributed to us and how many have asked that question in generations past but they were unwilling to be a part of it if jesus tarries for 50 or 100 or more years can they look at our generation can they look at you and look at me and the church of the 21st century and can they say this about us in chattanooga in phoenix arizona in north south east and west in the church in this nation that out of the desperate situation in this nation that we birth a nation shaking and history-making revival i see let it be so i say let it be so i say let it be so i say let it be so i say let it be so i say wake up wake up wake up wake up wake up wake up wake up and let it be so have you ever thought bigger than your own destiny come on somebody i'll try it again have you ever thought bigger than your own destiny i said have you ever thought bigger especially you younger ones in here have you ever thought bigger than your own destiny come on i'll get a revelation get a revelation to the robo-shake i know you're taught well around here but understand can we think bigger than our own destiny to a destiny of a city and a destiny of a region and a destiny of a nation and the destiny of the nations come on come on come on we got to make sure that our mark in the body of christ especially in this nation is more than just programs and platforms and personalities and politics i'm gonna say it again to make religion mad we have got to make sure in the church in this nation that the mark of our generation is more than just programs and platforms and personalities and politics it has to be a mark of god that shakes the mountains and the obstacles i said it has to be a mark of god it has to be a mark of god [Applause] may it be said that god came down and marked our generation and the results speak for themselves come on somebody i said the results will speak for themselves obstacles will go out of the way mountains will shake nations will tremble at his presence do i have anybody do i have anybody that can get a deep conviction on the inside of you that's just like we read about and i'm gonna share some things that you probably already know but i came to help you prepare the way today and to stir you to know that there is more than what you have right now look at your neighbor and say there's more there's more [Applause] the results will speak for themselves but you know what a lot of people just want to start where the results are come on but it is a very high price i know i've said that already but it works it's worth repeating it's a very high price to pay to serve a generation well that scripture is about david you'll face a lion come on somebody you'll face a bear you'll face a goliath or two you'll face a bipolar demonized king all right that wants to kill you and rob you of your destiny your anointing you're going to serve your generation well if you're 18 or 80 are you with me in the room come on then you're going to have a couple of sons i said you're going to have a couple of sons that will sell you out to get your name and your legacy i said you're going to have a couple of family members oh my i said you're going to have a couple of family members that'll sell you out come on dysfunctional don't look to the right don't look to the left but you all know i'm talking right it's a high high price to serve your generation well i said it's a high high price to serve your generation well you get past the lion you get past the bear you even take out goliath and his brother maybe or two but then there's the bipolar king but then when it comes to your family are y'all with me in the room and god says are you willing to answer the call for the calls even when family is coming against you and david because he was willing to follow god and because mother was shaken because he was willing to follow the presence of god because he was willing to protect the presence of god because he was willing that whatever caused to have the presence of god he got the reputation as a man after god's own heart that served his generation well somebody needs to praise jesus this morning because he's dropping it on the inside of us prepare the way prepare the way prepare the way prepare the way prepare the way [Music] david had a secret are you with me it was called hillside moments all right you get that yes it was called hillside moments you know before he was king before he was all that before his name was in lights and he wrote 15 books and helped me somebody had so many followers and etc etc etc can i just be playing our day he had a secret and it was called hillside moments he would sit with sheep and he would worship god he would sit with animals and he would worship god and day after day i said day after day day after day where he got to know his god in a way that few have to deserve this title that he served his generation well revival results my friends begin on a hillside there's no shortcuts it has to be the hillside moments with god if you want what i'm preaching about today and i know you do these god marking moments that shake things mountains obstacles strongholds demons then we must be on the hillside with our god i want to serve my generation well can i just say to us today something that i believe we all know and probably all agree with in america we have past time needing we have gone past the time just needing good services come on and a lot of conferences and a lot of small groups and a lot of campuses and a lot of multi-sites and even church plants with a full calendar now hear me hear me now i'm not against any of these but just to make the devil mad i'm going to repeat it again in america we have had a couple of decades or more where we have been doing this and this is all we have been doing just trying to have a good service doing a lot of conferences and we do conferences a lot of small groups we have small groups campuses multi-sites all for them definitely for church plants and then making your calendar full that has what the church in america has looked like for two or three decades and those things are good and necessary but the good things have kept us busy and in my personal opinion have distracted us from the best thing and that is a god marking moment on a generation so that the next generation can have a reference point we have been expending our energies on accomplishment of man-generated systems instead of the sacrificial birthing of a move of god and we my friends in america are at a crucial crossroads in the moment of time like we have never been before we need a move of god that shakes a nation and brings it into alignment with the word and the will of god psalm 68 7 god when you went forth before your people when you marched through the desert the earthquake the heavens dropped rain at the presence of god sinai itself quaked at the presence of god listen to that scripture and that one with isaiah 64 when god moves everything shakes when god moves it's a stirring and agitating when god gets up gets up and starts walking can you imagine every single step that he takes shakes every single entity of the universe and this is what we must have in chattanooga are you tired of status quo are you tired of nominal are you tired of church as usual then get on your face and birth a move of god [Applause] we must have the supernatural to confront the natural and the demonic we can no longer be satisfied with cute church y'all come on i'm all about cute things well i'm really not all about cute things the older i get i'm just saying i mean i like for you to be cute and everything but that's not where it's going to come from smart church they literally have this terminology i've come to know in in uh i think it's australia smart church it's really dumb church come on somebody sorry it's when they dumb things down are you with me did you hear me they call it smart church but it's really dumb church because they dumb everything down holy spirit they dumb him down jesus they make him domesticated come on somebody that they can relate to they've created a god that is palatable they've created a god that is no longer holy that is no longer sovereign that is no longer an all-knowing all-seeing god they've created a god that is carnal and my friends the god that they are worshiping is satan himself i came to announce in this city that it is time for a move of god [Applause] shout if you want a move of god come on [Applause] hipster church hyper church [Applause] i could talk about that for a while but i'm going to go on [Music] i'm telling you it's so aggravating we're doing everything else pastors except what we need to do to birth the very thing that is going to shift and change we sing about it we talk about it we preach about it we write about it my god we write about it but yet even the very authors themselves are not seeing the move of god that they're writing about can i get an amen come on we must understand that there is one way and that is we must birth what god needs to do in this nation so he's got to awaken and shake his people and gather a remnant and a company of people from 18 to 80 and say in this generation will you birth a move of god look at your neighbor say birth it birth it birth it [Applause] [Music] i'm a little ahead of myself but it fit there and it went well come on somebody we just go with it we got to be the church come on y'all [Applause] and i know we use phrases oh god help us get grip us today god grip us today god video we got to be the church you know the one that's not peripheral to the world but the world becomes peripheral to the church come on i'm talking about the church that is the ecclesia help me somebody i'm talking about the governing body in the earth i'm talking about the church that jesus launched on the day of pentecost and jesus never changed his mind about the dna it's in the bible it's going to stay in the bible you can tweak it however you want to tweak it but that's the way that jesus launched his church he was in an upper room on the day of pentecost with the sounds of pentecost and jesus hasn't changed his mind he still wants pentecost he still wants come on radical radical radical people that will occupy and that will answer the call to the cause god is saying will you be that for this generation we've got to be that ecclesia we have got to be that church that the world stands in awe [Music] they don't stand in all of us today and i'm trying to be a downer here but come on can we be real we need to be the church in america let's just leave the world of the world right now let's talk about our own nation come on we need to be the church in this nation i have such a burden for this nation and you all who follow us you know we pray for it all the time all the time god has given a mandate an assignment to fresh start to pray for america and lead america in prayer over our nation but i'm telling you we got to be a church that this nation will stand in all not because of us but because we carry the presence of god because we carry the presence of god and the results that the presence brings can you imagine if we can get in unity in this nation as the church and bring the ark back to american church bring the ark back as david brought the art back and as the presence comes into our midst in this nation all of a sudden washington dc begins to teeter and totter the white house the capitol building ain't nobody here what i'm saying from the north and the south from seattle washington all the way down to miami florida oh from the southwest to the northeast when the presence comes in they will look at the church and say they are the ones who brought this to the nation we birthed it a nation shaking history making revival somebody shout yes i'm gonna hurry thank you i will [Music] arthur wallace says this revival is the divine intervention in the normal course of spiritual things it is god himself revealing himself to man in awful holiness and irresistible power revival he says is such a manifest working of god that human personalities are overshadowed and human programs are abandoned revival is man retiring to the background but god taking the field revival he says is the lord making bear his holy arm and working in extraordinary power on the saint and the sinner alike that my friends is what we need to see not about not just every once in a while but every time we walk into this building and every time we walk the streets of our cities that is what is gripping me this morning it's more than just a few good hand claps a few good songs and a nice sounding band my friends this is something that literally will shake the foundation of this nation and point it back to god i decree and i declare that it is coming it is coming it is coming it is coming it is coming it is coming it is coming [Applause] shout yes if you believe it come on [Applause] it happened in the day of evan roberts i'm going to speed up in the welsh revival i'll remind you today that i'm talking about a nation-shaking history-making revival so the next generation will have a reference point a standard and a basis to point back to evan roberts a teenager persevere teenager and two young adult and he would not stop asking god for a wave of glory to come over his nation hallelujah and it came it marked a nation that marked a generation it spread across an ocean into our nation and all because one man wouldn't be satisfied until god moved and god shook a nation are y'all hearing what i'm saying i know we got young people all over yeah but they're all dressed alike over here so that's one point over here [Music] a teenager and i know some of y'all older than that but listen me he wouldn't stop he wouldn't stop he gave up other things he gave up other things i said he gave up other things he gave up other things because he knew that god could do more than what was currently happening around him he gave up other things he pushed things even if you're 80 years old and here today you hear what i'm saying because then we moved to the hebrides revival because the hebrides revival was literally birthed in the spirit by two eighty year old women are you with me i said two eighty year old with we went from 18 to 80 280 and one of them was 84 years old and she or they would not stop praying for water to be poured out on the thirsty according to isaiah 44. they had a burden for the youth in their city to come to church all of the youth had stopped coming to church they had they did were out doing whatever they wanted to do and god put a burden on them and on the pastor in that little city and they began to pray and the pastor she went to the pastor and she said pastor you have tried missions and you have tried evangelists but have you tried god have you tried god have you tried god [Applause] [Music] this revival had an entire region in the grip of god's manifested presence criminals would turn themselves in at the police station and sinners would run to find the church his prayer meetings sprung up all over god was priority and hearts were awakened to his manifested presence from a teenager in wales to an 84 year old woman who i believe was blind in hebrides both of them adam ashike birth a generation history-making revival they were marked by the presence of god and then we move across the sea into our nation and there was azusa street can i talk right now oh and there were blacks and there were whites who came together in a time of racial tension how just to make the devil mad i'll say it again there were blacks and there were whites that came together in a time of racial tension and they decided that they were hungry for more of god they didn't look at the color of their skin they didn't look at their economic status all they knew is they were hungry for more of god in their life and they began to pray and they began to ask god to introduce them to something that they had read about called pentecost and the baptism of the holy spirit and god birthed a nation shaking history-making revival and pentecosta was reintroduced as hungry hearts begin to press past religious protocol and pursue a deeper powerful personal encounter with the holy spirit and the fire of god came down at azusa street and made manifests and wrought undeniable miracles and today we have every pentecostal denomination that is in our nation today because somebody decided they would birth a history making come on nation shaking revival [Applause] i say let it be so i say it's time for one again come on i said it's time for one again [Applause] no more playing games in the pulpit you all help me no more playing games in the pulpit no more making it about us no more making it about us no more making it about us no more playing games in the pew come on no more placating to this and placing to that it's not about us it's not about us it's not about us i'm preaching up here this morning i'm telling you it is not about us it is not about us i know god loves us i know god favors us i know god delivers us i know god heals us but he does that so that you and i can occupy in this space called time and birth a nation shaking history making revival so that a generation can know that he is god [Applause] look at somebody say it's time it's time i moved quickly this morning brownsville revival it was birthed in a denomination i just said it happens to be the denomination that our church is in so i know well of what i say in that era and even currently has accepted fillers and substitutes in the place of pentecostal experience dry dead compromising this was this was the scene that they had when brownsville revival broke out we talked to pastor kilpatrick personally so i'm not making up this stuff probably not his exact words but like this the particular church that he was pastoring he was very discouraged how many know that's a right time for revival how many know that's a right time [Applause] [Music] they were trying to be and still are culturally relevant at the expense of the unfiltered moving of the holy ghost but in 1995 one of the largest modern day revivals that we know marked a generation and over 5 million people were affected by this move of god i said it's a move of god i said it's a move of god we don't have to work it up i'm not saying we'd have to pay a price oh hear what i'm saying i hope this is making sense we don't have to work it up and i'm not talking about i mean we're pentecostals so pentecostals do what pentecostals do but you understand what i'm saying when god moves god moves come on but where i'm trying to get us today very quickly before i close and then in the altars this morning as i'm trying to get us and the lord says prepare the way prepare the way prepare the way so i'm releasing to you i'm releasing to you day the burden that has been within me of a few things that it's going to take to have this move of god many of them may not be a strange or foreign or new revelation to you but i'm telling you we can reference revivals of past all day long and there are many more that i could talk about but here's the thing i want to birth what needs to be birthed from my generation i appreciate the standard that they have set and i value that but i it's about it's about me now it's about me submitting to god and and paying the price so that there can be a standard that my three grandchildren can look back and say mimi you mimi did this mimi was a part of that and it wasn't that mimi did it it was that god did it because mimi had a desire to see god move in a way that she had never seen him move before i want my grandchildren it's fine if they talk about mimi bought me this and toys come on as grand moms we just like to do that but what i really want them to talk about is you know what i saw and i heard my mimi pray and i heard her ask god to pour out his spirit this is what i want to hear from the generation coming behind me and i want to be able to hand the baton to them and i want to be able to say here you go here you go my ceiling is your floor my ceiling is your floor my ceiling is your floor what god did for me and for us he will exceed if you will pay the price somebody shot i want it shall i want it [Applause] [Music] hallelujah i don't know about you but i want my name known in heaven hell and history not to say this and that about kim owens but to say there was a revival come on somebody a nation-shaking history-making revival and she was a part of it they were a part of it we must have a conviction of concern of the responsibility the crisis must grip us today because until your grip by the reality of the lawless godless nation the condition of our nation you'll continue without concern until it directly affects you and i think we can all say in this room today it's affecting us like never before we must sober up and assess the responsibility to turn and to shift a nation back to god please look at your neighbor and say sober up come on and we've got to assess the responsibility to turn and shift a nation you've also got to believe that within the capacity of the ecclesia there is the ability to shift a nation come on come on church wake up come on i'm not just talking about you waking up i'm talking about the church we have got to believe within the capacity of the ecclesia that we have the ability in christ to shift this nation back to god we have seen it all through history that these types of conditions of lawlessness etc have been known to be the right conditions for revival and i say to us today as the sons of issachar understood the times we too must discern the times and arise out of slumber pastor said this verse a couple of times ephesians 5 14 awake o sleeper can you just nudge your neighbor really hard and don't hurt them but nudge them hard and say awake o sleeper and arise from the dead come on this is in the spiritual it is scripture is addressing an absolute importance of understanding the times and the seasons and to be wise and not unwise because this is what happens a spirit of slumber will come over us and we don't think right we don't act right we don't talk right we don't follow through right and a spirit of slumber for a couple of generations has gripped the american church and slumber will cause spiritual apathy and unconcern it causes dullness and hardness of heart it causes consciences to be desensitized a spirit of slumber carries a lukewarm attitude which is unstable and therefore is ineffective a spirit of slumber brings a spiritual paralysis and a coma over those that are affected by it and it'll make you have an unbelieving heart and be lazy in the spirit and indifferent and apathetic and dull towards the things of god which produce no sense of urgency to see a move of god so if you will allow me this morning i will say in the name of jesus let the breaker be released into chattanooga tennessee to break open the heavens and awaken a sleeping church oh to answer the call for the calls to see a move of god [Applause] did you know that when the church sleeps the devil thrives we're fighting moral battles today because of a sleepy church come on somebody decades ago the foundation of our nation is being shaken by strategies of hell and now is the time now look you hear me now i can't fit 50 messages into one i believe that there are pockets of a move of god happening across our nation but i also know the reality of things that are happening in our nation and it grips me and i'm like where's the church where's the church where's the church no not that church not mickey mouse church where's the church where's the true church where's the true church where's the true church not the ones that are creating disneyland every sunday for their people to come come on now and pastor mickey mouse and pastor minnie mouse are getting up to the pulpit and they're doing cartwheels and they're doing all kinds of shows to entertain the people god says that day has come to an end and i am raising up a remnant that will birth a move of god for this nation get out of sleepiness get out of slumber america now is the time for revival the church will not know its authority if all we're teaching them or if all we're doing is entertaining them come on i tell our people i tell our people a lot come on that i don't always tell everybody when i travel like i'm not here to entertain you that wears me out i said that wears me out it's time to grow up come on i'm i'm i'm not trying to be mean to you it's time to be speaking to the whole american church because there is a remnant church in this nation that is going to shift this nation back to god and we will see a nation-shaking history-making revival you hear me you hear me now but i don't want to entertain you i don't need to try to give you a donuts and and cookies and all that other stuff i don't need to do that come on we get fat enough as it is y'all help me come on this is southern food down here come on y'all [Applause] we don't need to do all of that what we need to do is we need to be gripped we need to be gripped gripped and weep at the condition of a nation that we are alive in this generation and god is saying to us today us me included what are they going to be saying about your generation what are they going to be saying it's time to birth the move of god it's time to birth the move of god [Applause] hallelujah i'm gonna hurry i know y'all don't believe that anymore but we got to move past interest to being an activist for the holy spirit come on did that make sense see that's what the book of acts church was they were activists an activist is an advocate for a cause i have that in my notes right there an act advocate for calls the opposite obviously is pacifist non-responsive and non-participating look i believe in discipleship i sincerely that's two pillars that we run our church on we build everything around the move of god at fresh start and we disciple revivalists come on and i'm getting ready to give you a progression here that we lead them in in one way or the other but what i'm afraid has happened in the body of christ is we disciple to the natural and not to the spiritual come on we've got to build more than core disciples we've got to build hardcore disciples we've got to build a company of people that can swim in the deep end come on and not just splash in the baby pool we've got to build a company of people that are revivalists hear what i'm saying revivalist that doesn't mean you're not called to any other of the fivefold ministry or function or office it just means that you are revivalist you must you you what beats within you is to see the nation coming back to life in christ again seeing your city seeing your families come on somebody the lord told us at fresh start that we are responsible for revival we're responsible for revival i want to teach you something here there's a lot of people i asked i'm asked to come in a lot of times to impart the spirit of revival and i totally understand that and i think that's hugely important but what i often tell people now when i travel is i'm not just after today come on i'm not just after this morning are you with me i said i'm not just after this morning i'm not just here this morning i'm telling i got plenty of opportunities preaching i don't mean abroad i mean at my home church are you here what i'm saying when i go i want i want to you i want to empty myself and i want you to leave with a mark and a deposit not from kim owens but from the power and the anointing of the holy spirit and the word of god so you hear what i'm saying now you hear what i'm saying it's more than just a spirit of revival it is more than a spirit of revival my friends that needs to happen and it is definitely in this place but we must move past that into the responsibility of revival and the ownership of revival and understanding that it is not just an option and every once in a while if we had good services we pat each other on the back and said boy that was a good one every time we come together we have a mandate to draw on the presence and the power of god there must be a conviction on the inside of us that we're not going to settle for anything less than the glory and the power of god every time we meet together and as the ecclesia when we meet together and we worship and we praise this is why you can't come in here with lazy worship and lazy praise you've got to come in here with a praise the high praise and an intimate worship because it creates a company of revivalists that are not just gathering together to have a good church service we are gathering together to govern in this city that my friends is what it takes to carry revival shout yes [Applause] [Music] let me talk about this for a minute you don't accidentally walk into revival there is a price of prayer that is birthing in warfare i know you know prayer here and i know you know it in this company of people at the ramp i know you know that but let's talk about it some more amen because god is saying to us and i say yes including myself even with what's happening at fresh start in phoenix arizona that he needs a company of people in this nation that are not satisfied until they have birthed a nation-shaking history-making revival there has to be a birthing prayer you don't accidentally walk into revival don't call something revival if you have not birthed it you can't raise a baby before you birth a baby i'll say that again you can't raise a baby before you birth a baby conception and birthing are found in intimate places not on platforms not on hype not on trending that was a good phrase there that was really good conception and birthing are found in intimate places not on platforms hype and trend i'm not saying we can't learn from one another but y'all know what i'm saying here we've been so conditioned to the last two or three decades to follow a trend that we've forgotten how to birth things [Applause] do i have any old-time pentecost people in the room come on that understands birthing i'm not saying the younger generation doesn't not demeaning you at all because i know you do but you hear me now make sure what we call revival isn't a clone but it comes from conception and covenant and covenant requires cutting revival is pure revival is holy come on somebody true revival and there has been a subtle diversion and a turning from spiritual birthing in the church we've settled for someone else's method and someone else's a vision and someone else's style and it has resulted in cookie-cutter christians and cookie cutter churches spiritual birthing is what we must get back to if we're going to see a nation-shaking history-making revival stay with me now i'm talking about this principle that is the bringing of life to a purpose to a cause bringing to life the purpose of revival a birthing how pastor kim do i know if i have birth revival the lord dropped this in my in my spirit with the the example of a solomon i believe it is and this is how it goes how do i know if i birth revival you know that you have birthed revival when someone asks you to cut the baby in half come on and the real mother is willing to sacrifice anything to let that baby live did you get what i'm saying i've got to hurry i can't expound an expository whatever on this you will know that you will do anything that you at birth revival when you will not settle for anything you will not offer anything else in its place you will give that you will do anything that you can to let that baby live birthing comes my friends in painful moments of utter desperation birthing moments in the natural and birthing moments in the spiritual are a good parallel because it's utter desperation literally to birth the thing that god has put on the inside of you and you will walk through hell or high water you will walk through the fire you will walk through anything you will walk through anything to see a move of god the detriment today is that we have churches and i mean pentecostal churches that are filled with baby christians and they don't want to birth because it's too painful they don't want anything to go wrong in their life because they don't have time for it on their american calendar but god is raising a remnant in this nation that has stepped across the line and says i refuse to settle for anything less than a nation-seeking history-making revival [Applause] in my book doorkeepers of revival birth building is sustaining revival i gave the story of jackson sinanga a pastor in uganda i'm thinking i believe it was back in the 90s i can't remember exactly when but edie amen i believe is how you say it was the the tear the leader there was very to you know it was tyranny uh it was a horrible horrible time for that nation of people they were being executed they were being killed and annihilated and jackson senior tells the story and for the sake of time i'm not going to read it but i'm telling you it's a gripping gripping story but in the in the context pastors of the story that he's telling about his nation he jackson young speaks to the american church are you ready for this he speaks to the american church and let me tell you what he says i'm talking about spiritual birthing are you with me i'm talking about spiritual birthing for a history making nation shaking revival and he says that they were being killed all over the place family members were being killed in front of other family members no mercy it was a horrible horrible time and he said the church in our desperation he said in our devastation the devil made us pray come on he said in our devastation the devil made us pray are you listening american church are you listening american church right now right now we're feeling the ruffles of some of some of some things that we've never felt before not in my 57 years of life anyway we're filling some of the ruffles right now that we've never felt and seen before but you hear me now if the church stays back on our backside and just says well i'll let pastor kim go after it well i'll let pastor karen go after or this one go after it or that one go after god needs us all to arise in this hour and say enough is enough [Applause] we cannot wait until there is devastation we must pray out of desperation i'm hurrying he said we prayed because we were devastated watch this watch this he said it wasn't ordinary praying it was jungle praying jungle praying and it really was they would go out in the jungles and they would pray and they would stay all night long they would come back with bug bites all over them but he said they didn't care because they want they needed god to break in to their nation they were dying their families were dying their nation was going to hell they began to pray all night long do i have anybody in chattanooga tennessee that is willing to do some jungle praying come on on behalf of a move of god and you see i don't think we're desperate enough i don't think we're desperate enough we still got our jobs we still got our paychecks we still got food in our refrigerator we can still go out to eat or you hear what i'm saying i don't think we're desperate enough we have got to get desperate knowing that if we stand by and this is what jackson youngest says he says american churches you are used to event praying he says you just have event praying you just make an event and you pray now there's nothing wrong with that but he says that's what you're used to and he says when you're not at your event and you leave then the devil steps in and starts occupying when you stop praying [Music] [Applause] and he said how long are you willing to pray how long are you willing to pray to see a nation shaking history making revival he said for uganda it was 15 years well that made us real happy right there come on you see that religious mindset will say that's just this is the way it is now it's just the way it is we just have to be this way you gotta kick that thing come on you gotta pay the price [Applause] and he said it began to turn their nation around he said all of the killing stopped he said muslims were getting saved all around the the city and the nation he said they were being given visions of jesus they were having dreams in the middle of the night he said they would come to the church in their pajamas in the middle of the night because jesus had shown up to them muslims come on he said the amount of aids back then the aids patients dropped uh drastically and he said their church grew from just a very small number of people to thousands of people within a matter literally of weeks and months are you hearing what my god my god my god [Music] [Applause] [Music] don't get me started on the church growth gimmicks that have mesmerized us for a couple of decades if we will just do some jungle praying god will send in the harvest from the north and the south and the east and the west yes [Applause] and i do close with this today hallelujah hallelujah in march of this year my husband and i were able to visit the bonnie bray house in los angeles california some of you may have heard me tell this story that i'm going to make it brief right now we did not know we had never been there and we did not know that you were not supposed to go in there now you you have an appointment that apparently takes months to get at least in this season anyway and i just wanted to go i didn't even know they had made it into a um you know like a like a house you know like a honor honoring place not a museum but you know what i'm saying a memorial yeah whatever i didn't know they had done that i just wanted to take a picture by the house and say hey here's where they prayed come on somebody like hey here's where they pray here's where they birthed the nation's shaking history-making hey here it is snap you know put on ig say we've been there you know and all of a sudden my husband and i are standing outside the gate and the other that's around the property and i said you know what i'm just going to turn the [Music] so i turned the knob now some of y'all have broken into some places before but not this girl i was raising a pastor so come on somebody and i'm like babe i like the door the gates open i don't think you heard what i just said the gates open thank you so we walked in because gates will open for those who carry a great burden for a nation shaking history history-making revival now everything i'm saying to you right now is a spiritual parallel i know it's a prophetic moment an encounter for us i know that i know so we walk up and then now we're not only standing out by the street taking pictures we're by the sign taking pictures that's in the yard you know the heritage of blah blah blah you know kind of thing so he's standing by the sign i'm taking his picture and i'm standing by the side so i look up on the porch the porch that william seymour stood on that preached to the hundreds that were out in the street that were being baptized in the holy ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues that porch had fallen in because of the weight of the people the number of people that were hungry that could not get are y'all hearing what i'm saying and i'm standing there and the door to the little house is open and i see an open door it's a sign of welcome so we got an open gate we got an open door he'll give you an open heaven [Music] so we walk in and there's somebody back in the back and they're like they were listening to something like a video or something like that i'm like well there's somebody here you know so we just start walking around and before i knew it i took a few pictures okay that i did not know i was not supposed to take all right that i have not deleted yet all right come on and i see william seymour's picture on the the fireplace and i see the asbury pictures on the wall that was their home during that season and i look at the furniture that was either the real furniture or a replica of that era and i look at the wood floors that my husband and i are walking on and he says babe these these floors would hold sound and this wood that we're walking on is holding the sound of the intercessors that birthed a nation shaking history making revival and the closer i get to the back into the little kitchen probably thousand square foot house i run into the biggest man that i've ever seen in my life and he is looking at me and he's like what are you doing in here and not to draw it out but i looked at him and the first thing that i said because we're in los angeles california come on y'all i looked at him and i said we forgot our masks i mean you're in california come on y'all and he just keeps staring at me and staring at me staring at me and finally after like trying to intimidate me which almost worked y'all it almost he said how did you get in here i said well the gate was open by the road and the door was open he said my assistant was supposed to lock those and he says he didn't tell us this we found this out later that it takes months at least at that point earlier this year it took months to get an appointment to get a tour of that little house but the lord had opened the gate and the lord had opened the door [Applause] to allow us to stand in the place where mantles were dropped to birth in history history making revival i share that with you today because my last point is this those little people or those people in that little house there was about 15 of them if i could get the keyboard player to come their hunger drove them on those wood floors sitting by that fireplace that we saw crammed into that house you see we hear a lot about azusa street and i know bonnie brae street has been made well-known as well but that was the catalytic fire for a nation-shaking revival some of their names would not ever be told mostly because of the color of their skin are you hearing what i'm saying some of them may not ever know their name for their that reason or just because there were many that gave their life to draw on the manifested presence of god i asked us today are we willing to do what it takes for the next generation to be able to look back and say there's a marker there's a basis there's a standard they did whatever it took to see in america in the 21st century in 2021 going into 2022 god come down and the mountains and the obstacles shake at his presence i believe
