[Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] the night services particularly we just want to run them like we do our holy ghost meetings brother david's been with us and every one of them all 13 of them been a real blessing to us now in the morning time is a teaching session but we're not running them like we do our our morning meetings and our crusade though we do teach on the subject of prayer in our holy ghost meetings but we do more than that because he said teach prayer both by precept and example and we don't have time here because students have to get out many of them go to work by noon and so we have to get out but some of these morning meetings in the holy ghost meeting we we're we're there at 10 30 in the evening afternoon praise god and as you use the thing past 12 o'clock or one o'clock god begins to move because you see we we teach prayer and then we pray and then we just follow you know when you follow bible examples and bible rules you just get results and paul said you remember in philippians 4 6 be careful for nothing that's a little blind to us that's king james translation but the amplified said do not fret have any anxiety about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving with thanksgiving so after we pray we take time to give thanks and then the bible said as we brought out in our teaching last night paul and silas in jail at midnight in philippi prayed and then sing praises to god and so we take time to sing praises to god hallelujah that's scriptural isn't it then the bible said in the 13th chapter of actors in the church at antioch certain prophets and teachers such as mitch as the names the five begins with barnabas and ends with saul and the second verse says as they minister to the lord in giving thanks and singing praises you are ministering to the lord and he said as they ministered to the lord the holy ghost said i found out the more we missed the lord the more the holy ghost said things amen sometimes we begin to minister to folks sometimes folks some folks like the days better do the night service amen but anyway praise god we're running the nine services at least like we do the holy ghost meetings brother dave so if we're going to do that we've got to hear from brother david because he's been in every one of them amen go right ahead and bless us praise god i think it'd be great some folks said well is all of that necessary well if you want to enjoy the presence and the blessings of god it is i was thinking a moment ago about 50 years ago i was in a service people stood and praised god for an hour and a half more happened in 10 minutes then happened in weeks and weeks amen because the holy ghost is moving folks are responding to it amen now you know as well as i know that the bible said in 126 psalm when the lord turned again the captivity of zion we were like them the dream then was our mouth filled with laughter and our tongue was singing then said they among the heathen the lord has done great things for them sometimes the heathen knows more than church members the lord has done great things for us we're off we're glad now i think some folks read that and thought that said we're off we're sad no it said we're glad [Applause] laughter singing goes along with being glad i know that he here was talking about when god turned the captivity of israel brought him out of babylonia's captivity but notice that when the lord turned again to captivity of zion and you come over to the 12th chapter of the book of hebrews and you'll find out that the church is called zion hallelujah thank god he turned our captivity he turned my captivity glory you can't help but be glad you can't help but be glad he turned my captivity hallelujah i'm no longer in captivity when the lord turned again to captivity of zion we were like them the dream then was our mouth filled with laughter and our tongue with singing hallelujah the lord has done great things for us we're off we're glad we're glad hallelujah you might as well just get in and enjoy the blessings of god you're here people think you're one of us anyway so we might as well enjoy it while you're at it i made reference to the fact that i as a young baptist boy pastor and preacher received the baptism of the holy ghost spoke with other tongues the eighth day of april 1937 got the left foot of fellowship from among the baptists that came among the pentecostals now they did a lot of things different than we baptists did they all prayed out loud at once we always somebody led us in prayer one person prayed but they had united prayer and they'd shout dance well i accepted the pastor of a full gospel church [Laughter] and there was a baptist sunday school teacher lived right behind my church every sunday night he'd come to our church and he went to his own church on sunday morning because he taught a sunday school class amen [Applause] thank god hallelujah now if you listen real carefully [Applause] hallelujah [Applause] now if you can just hold it for a few moments i want to help those folks that are still sitting there you know like a poker [Applause] naturally if they know god they can sense his presence but they don't know how to get in well i was baptized in the holy ghost like i said 19 and 37 came over and accepted the pastor of 1939 of a full gospel church pentecostal church i'd go over sometimes in the afternoon sit down on the front port talk to this baptist man he said brother again i like to come to your church he said everybody in town admits that you your church has the best singing of any church see spirit anointed changing is the best there is and then he said i like your preacher and then he said i like the testimony meeting he said you know we used to have testimony meetings i see this is 1939. 36 years ago that'd be 1903. we had testimony meetings up here in the first baptist church some of the ladies would get happy and shout up and down the aisles and women had long hair those they said they'd chop their hair down and so we still we had testimony i like that he grinned a little bit and said i even like the tongues in interpretation he said it's in the bible i'm a bible teacher i know that's all in there there is one thing that you folks do that i don't understand now when you just got one thing if they don't understand you're in pretty good shape well i said what's that he said that dancing business well i said that's easy i said no i never did dance myself but i said you know you're a bible teacher yeah i said the bible said you know that david danced before the lord with all of his might you know when he recovered the ark of the covenant brought it back from the philistines back to israel and i said you know that ark stood for the supernatural and i said that's what he shouted about and then dancing and then i said besides that you know being a bible teacher that the bible tells us that the old testament is just types and shadows of that which is to come and if he could dance under the shadow we sure would be able to dance in the light hallelujah hallelujah and so the bible said you know of course let them praise his name in the dance the bible said praise him with the timbrel and dance well i could i just sat down on the platform let him have it i know i'd say well i wish i could do that i've done you one thing if i ever dance it'll be the lord but you know it won't be the lord if you dance it'll be you dancing now what i meant was you know he'll make me he don't make you do anything so i went along for seven years as dry as you are oh yeah blessed in other areas blessed in other areas amen good people healed always had a outstanding healing ministry but i was holding a meeting in 1944 in a little church down in south texas and there was a little old lady that didn't have to sing not every night but or two or three at least three and sometimes four times a week she's in her seven little white haired woman she didn't have much of a voice she's saying what i sort of called diddy's style sometimes just sort of talk it off but she'd get happy when she was singing and get blessed you could you could see it you could feel it and just get to dancing then sometimes she'd finish the song step down off the platform and just start dancing others to join in help her and i'd sit there and look at it and i'd been around all this for seven years i knew god i know when it is god and so i said well some folks get in the flesh well whatever you're in the flesh amen and and so you know i kept waiting for god you know to drop it on me you know if i ever dance it'll be the lord so one night she sang a song and then she finished a song step down off the platform and down there just started dancing i just deliberately me capital m e me no anointing no urge i just said bless god i'm going to get in on that i just deliberately stood up jumped off the platform a little low platform had a little little curtain but i jumped off the platform i jumped down there to dance now when i left the plant farm i was in the flesh by the time i hit the floor i was in the spirit they tell me they tell me that i danced a heart that my coattails stood straight out behind and i want you to know i god bless i got blessed i got a blessing i never had before some of you folks what you need to do is just jump in just jump in when the holy ghost is moving that direction just jump in hallelujah well but if i ever dance it'll be the lord no it wasn't it's me dancing if you ever dance it'll be you anointed by the spirit inspired by the spirit but sometimes you got to start out in the flesh i learned that it took me seven years you see you may not be as dense as i was took me seven years to learn it but i finally learned it just jump in with god when when the spirit of laughter is i jump in start laughing start laughing we is in one meeting and there's a spirit of laughter sometimes it works that way just came into the service and we all got to laugh we had us a time the next morning the pastor testified that he got to looking at others laughing and just started laughing in the flesh just you know cause there's a laughing and when he did he got into the spirit and he got blessed he had a lot of problems and he said when i woke up this morning when i woke up this morning i was testifying the next morning see the morning sir when i woke this morning for the first time in 15 years because he had such problems and different things that happened and some health problems and financial problems and church problems and all kind of problems any you can think of he had them and he said i'd wake up every morning down wake up every morning blue wake up every morning discourage woke up every morning under a cloud i woke up this morning laughing i looked around and felt around and i'm free i'm free i'm free hallelujah glory to god amen thank god thank god thank god thank god thank god well that was a blessing to him he got blessed like he said i i got to laugh at first just laughing at others in the flesh but it got into the spirit hallelujah god bless amen there is a blessing amen well not some folks i don't know about that i mean even in pentecostal and full gospel servants i don't know about all that emotionalism you know we can get along without that but now wait just a minute wait just a minute let me ask you a question are you an authority on the subject i remember when i was a young baptist boy preacher went around full gospel people because they taught divine healing that my baptist colleagues warned me against those folks mr bryant who had a jewelry store and watch repair in town who taught us sunday school class auditorium class the first baptist church who graduated from baylor university graduated from the seminary had the same training as all the others ministers he warned me about these full gods people he said that speaking with tongues is of the devil well i got filled with the spirit speaking with tongues i i i purposely just just a day or two afterwards uh went got with mr bryant and i worked the conversation around i said you know uh uh you said that speaking with tongues down there at the full gospel tabernacles of the devil yeah that's right well i said if that's of the devil the whole southern baptist movement is of the devil what are you talking about he said i said the same spirit that i got born again in the baptist gave me utterance and tongue there's only one holy ghost he's not twins you know oh no no he said that can't be right i said have you ever spoken with tongues no well i said you can't answer it then proverbs said a man to answer the matter before he hears it's a fool now don't be a fool and you folks that never have danced that ever had chap sounded don't sit there and be a fool amen you don't know why don't you try sure [Applause] hallelujah [Applause] sure [Applause] hallelujah scripture in the second chapter of acts [Applause] the 15th verse went on the day of pentecost after the outpouring of the holy ghost when it was noised abroad the crowd came together peter's standing up with their level you remember began to preach to them in the 15th verse he said for these are not drunken as he supposed seeing it is but the third hour of the day now you know you know just as well as i know that they were doing more [Applause] they were doing more than speaking with tongues we just were down in miami florida actually at miami north miami beach we went to restaurants to eat we went to the shopping center i heard people talking all kinds of languages other tongues languages i never thought them one of them was drunk they had to be doing something else i mean if you've got an ounce of intelligence you'll have to admit they had to be doing something else besides speaking another tongue i didn't think you know those folks are all speaking they're speaking unknown tongues as far as i was concerned i didn't know a thing they said but i didn't consider not one of them drunk yeah there's such a thing getting drunk on the spirit amen if you you've never been drunk you'll try it sometimes say well how do you do it well when the spirits are moving that direction just jump in just jump in glory to god hallelujah did you get over your drunk spell let's sing something you got anything you got anything it'll fit here yeah go help hallelujah well i'm drinking a drinking a drinking of god's new wine doing god's will i'm drinking drinking a god's new wife [Music] holy ghost meetings i'll say this about these these are different kinds of services amen and when the holy ghost has charge you don't always know what's going to happen now sometimes in teaching services we line out by the direction of the holy ghost just what god wants us to teach [Applause] but we need all kinds of services amen and we need to learn to follow when the holy ghost is leading a different direction [Applause] i tell sometimes hallelujah somebody said well that disturbs me everybody well we need some divine interruptions we've been going so long in the other direction but in these meetings uh i remember we were down in colleen texas september a year ago and uh i'm up talking i mean it startled me i almost looked around and see who said it come find out the words coming out of my mouth i was up here i said brother leo thompson's going to come now and minister i look who said that it just come up by inspiration out of the spirits brother thompson came up and i'll tell you bless god he blessed us and measured he had the message early days of pentecostal circles they'd say who's got the message i think we miss a lot of time nowadays a lot of what god really wants to do for us because we got it all can cut and dried i remember reading after some other ministers talking about when smith wigglesworth first came to america now he was an english preacher and so he went to account meeting in the bay area of california now he's a stranger you see they would have a someone to more of a teacher in the morning time and more of an evangelist and speak at night well they got these special speakers all right afternoon was open they may call on anyone they might want to so he's there so they asked him to speak one afternoon after he spoke the minister got together and said this man's got the message they put him up every night the fellow that's supposed to speak at night time he didn't get his feelings hurt he's ready to flow with the holy ghost amen they put him up every night now why they saw the anointings there they saw he's got a ministry he's got a message we need to hear he's got a minister that we need to take advantage of i believe we're going to get back to that place bless god hallelujah hallelujah [Applause] i believe we're on our way glory to god so if you come to the holy ghost men you know i don't speak all the time i ask others as the lord directs me and asks others to testify or whatever he wants to do amen we need some services like that don't we no that's not the only kind of services but that's we need to be susceptible yielded responsive to the holy ghost now folks misunderstand what you say bless the heart you have to make it clear for some people i tell about sometimes in may of 1944 on mother's day i'd worked on my mother's day message spent hours on it i got it all worked worked up closely top written quoting abraham lincoln benjamin franklin as well as the bible and uh but see we we have our mother's day program at night sunday night instead of sunday morning we you had your biggest crowd in those days on sunday fill the building up and run it over well the children had some recitations about mother children's department you know some of the men came they won't be back to church till christmas time when the kids are in another program you see well maybe my message about mama will get through to him but while the lady's trio is singing a mother's day song the lord said to me have a healing service when they get through singing pray for the sick lord i've said their visit is here they'll think i'm nuts there hadn't been one word said about healing everything is said about mother they'll think i'm nuts they'll think i'm crazy and i don't know i couldn't enjoy the song i argued with the lord all through that song got up and started out on my message saw i was missing it had enough sense to stop say folks i missed it that's not what god said he said pray for the sick so we minister to the sick they we just had a one room we didn't have any nursery there's a little baby that was sick was crying all through this the man did i touched it stopped crying never did cry again center me and talked about it for weeks another old gentleman all stooped over walked like this the man that i touched in the power of god hit him he bent backwards and touched the floor come forward and touch the floor went backwards and touched by the spirit of god i looked back there and some of these men were sitting there weeping they saw a manifestation of god's power now it's amazing how people are misunderstand last year at mother's day one of our rhema graduates called me and said brother hagin another rhema graduate been coming to our church and i announced a special mother's day and they said we're not coming brother hagin don't believe in special meeting didn't you hear him tell me he had a healing meeting that was only one time out of 12 11 other times we had a mother's day service amen did you hear me but the point i wanted to get over is no matter what we've got arranged maybe good but if the holy ghost leads different just go with it the holy ghost leads differently just go with it amen he knows what he's doing and he knows what people needs [Applause] and he knows how to touch people well i had to repent of course i saw men weeping when they saw god healing they were weeping because they saw the power of god in manifestation and god touched lives thank god for the holy ghost now say it out loud thank god for the holy ghost say it again said one more time thank god for the holy ghost well a holy ghost meeting should be a meeting where the holy ghost is in manifestation where the holy ghost is leading where the holy ghost is guiding praise god forever sometimes you hear before you go to church now i always just stay open in the night services i pray of course and seek god but sometimes i don't know which direction i'm gonna go until the singers sing you remember the old testament you know when they came i wanted to prophet to prophesy you know he said if it wasn't for jehoshaphat i wouldn't have a thing to do with you but now bring me a minstrel and when the minister will begin to play the scripture said the hand of the lord came upon it and if you'll read all through there finally you'll find out that the hand of the lord is the holy ghost and then he began to prophesy you know and said make this valley full of ditches and so on and so forth amen and so sometimes it's that away well i don't know sometime till they're singing just which direction i'm going amen uh i study of course i've always been students through the years sometimes i've read many a night all night long but right on the other hand we need to be open the holy ghost wants to go different directions just go a different direction can you say amen hallelujah praise god forevermore blessed be his holy name forever there's there's one other thing that i want to say to you and i'm talking primarily of course this time to ministers that my wife and i pastored nearly 12 years and you can ask my wife from the time that i was baptized in the holy ghost the word of knowledge began to operate within two weeks time in my life i didn't know what it was because i we had no teaching on gifts of the spirit i thought i've got a wrong spirit here i talked to other preachers full gospel they didn't know but then i said well i didn't have this till i got that until i spoke with other tongues i didn't have this now then very seldom and here's where church people will talk to you where you miss it sometimes you think the supernatural is not working because it doesn't uh work publicly in public assembly well it does there sometimes but you go through the old testament and underline and record the acts of supernatural works very very few of them happen in public assembly for instance when naaman the leper came the prophet just said to himself go out tell them go dip the river jordan amen that wasn't public assembly was it now my wife will tell you we passed it to church supernaturally you order you pastors or the pastor of church supernaturally amen if you don't know if if ice pastor didn't have it the bible said covet earnest is the best gift one of the best ones for a pastor to have is a word of knowledge my wife would tell you sometimes two or three times a week i would say to her and i can't tell you why i'd usually get it while i'm shaving sometimes she's got a bill of groceries laid out and i'd say to her come out tell her honey before i go get those groceries i've got to go and minister a certain person here lord just told me or i would tell her 10 minutes to now so and so one of our members is going to show up at the parsons door and here's what they're going to ask me and here's what i'm going to tell them just a few days ago one of these persons at 86 went home to be with the lord but he was saved in 1947. a a businessman a contractor he and his partner were building a building downtown on the main street he had been saved two weeks i'm shaving the lord said to me i want you to go and restore call his name said he got mad on the job yesterday and cursed and he thinks i don't love him anymore he said he's not coming to church anymore so i walked out of the bathroom where i was shaving and said to my honey before i go get those groceries i'm going to have to go restore called his name the lord said he got mad on the job yesterday and cursed and he said he's not coming to church anymore god don't love him anymore because you failed well i went back to finish shaving went into the bedroom put on my shirt it was tying my tie i heard a knock on the parsonage door i heard someone talking to my wife i heard someone crying i went in there and she said oh brother hagin don't don't don't tell so and so that i came by here he'll be mad but said uh he's sick in bed today injured his back several years ago fell off of a scaffold and that injury came back on him he couldn't get out of bed and then he yesterday he got mad on the job and cursed and he says he's never come to church again i began to laugh my wife and i said well i don't have to tell him you asked my wife i told her 10 minutes ago 10 minutes i'd have that to happen two or three times sometime every day and in search on sunday never happened thank god for the supernatural it isn't just for church on sunday hallelujah the holy ghost is the holy ghost every day amen so she said all right she said well now he's in the back bedroom i've never been to their home you'll go around the door go around the house and this side door so i knocked on this side door and a man's voice said come in well when i entered him through the door he saw it with me he pulled the cover up over his head he's embarrassed you see and he's got the hole in the cover and i could hear him crying and i just knelt on my knees by the bed you see and started pulling the cover off and he couldn't hold it because his back got to hurting him so i pulled the cover off of him and around my arm i took him in my arms i said we're not going to let the devil have you we're not going to let the devil have you i said i was shaving and i told him what the lord told me he began to cry even more he said brother again if i cursed i don't know it but i've always been high tempered and i got so mad something didn't go right and i lost my temper said the men said i cursed so i guess i did but i told my wife i'm not going to church anymore god don't love me i said he does think about that he moved spectacularly supernatural and sent me to help you he sure loves you then i set him up the seated position laid my hand on his back the other hand on his front and said lord you love him he's just a baby two weeks old heal him now he jumped like he'd stuck him with a pen he said it's all gone it's all gone it's all you know the lord does love me don't i said he sure does came on back to church a month later i'm shaving the lord said i want you to go restore so-and-so i went and restored him never did have to anymore 1947. amen saw him here count meeting again and again praise god forevermore at 86 went home to be with the lord marvelous homegoing amen hallelujah this is supernatural business this is not something you learn you can't learn it intellectually you may have all and it might help in some cases all the psychological training in the world but it won't compete with the supernatural i was holding meeting the first assembly of god church in port arthur texas put on my own meeting like i do you know because the lord said holy these kind of meetings those kind of means you were holding and we'd give an invitation folks go to the prayer room to be saved and then i'd have a prayer line i called it laying hands on folks to be healed and be filled with the spirit and when we got through we'd dismiss and there was a young lady that would come to the altar just cry her heart out and i got my bible and started out what i said what's wrong with her heart rendering cry that kind of cry you know where you you cry with you know something bad's happened somebody died or something and the next night same thing when we dismissed she came to the office to weep it the third night the same thing and as i walked by my heart went out to you've got to have compassion you've got to have compassion my heart went out to her those those those tears those those sob that those that crying just someone pulled on my i said lord what's wrong with her i mean like you snapped your finger i i by the word not i knew the whole thing so i went to the pastor and i said to the pastor do you know that young lady in the altar yeah i said is she a member of your church well he said she got saved here uh a few months ago hadn't been filled with the spirit yet but she got saved and she comes here she hadn't joined the church but she comes here i said you know what's wrong with her he said do you i said yeah i know what's wrong with her he said tell me i said she's been married two years never has had sex with her husband if they start to have sex she starts screaming the reason she starts screaming is i saw her coming in from from school at nine-year-old swinging her books and found her mama in bed with another man and when that starts to happen then that flashes back well he said that's exactly right we've talked to her she's left him she's going to divorce him well actually i know that they've never consummated their marriage he said can you help her out i know exactly what to tell her god's not going to tell you to show your situation about without showing you praise god the answer i said now my wife's not here you go get your wife so the pastor's wife went and got her out of the altar we went to one side and pastor said now we didn't tell brother hagin anything i used to tell every pastor that i went to hold a meeting for don't tell me anything because if god doesn't now he's not going to move and tell you everything but if he does move you see if you know something it makes it difficult amen and so uh so was able to help her hallelujah i went back the next year to the same church and uh the pastor said brother-in-law said that brother hagin so-and-so wants to meet you well i said who he said you remember the little lady you talked to oh yeah yeah well said she's filled with the spirit the husband saved now and filled with the spirit and they got a little boy they named him kenneth hallelujah i believe that pastors order pastors supernaturally oh you're listening to me and like i said if i didn't have that i'd pray for the bible said covet earnestly the best gift i'd pray for it i think every pastor ought to be equipped at least with tongues and interpretation and the word of knowledge because then see he knows what's going on amen i said amen hallelujah well we've had such a little teaching on gifts of the spirit i teach of course every year to our folks but i've talked to some in other bible schools in colin they said well we used to but we don't teach on gifts of spirit anymore no clashes whatever well thank god for the supernatural and thank god for the holy ghost amen hallelujah well stand up everybody glory to god well i told you these services are different than that amen but i'll anyway i stepped up here to preach right here i stood here just like i was there for a minute ago and it was 30 35 minutes my congregation said best sermon ever preached i say a word hallelujah thank god i can talk again i tell you you know we we need to learn just to flow with the holy ghost you know and let god do whatever i'd say this this this is going to get better i can tell you that right now [Applause] i was supposed to dismiss but i thought i'd say a few words finally i can but some of you need to get struck down then you know what the rest of us felt like well praise the lord
