well this bow moment in prayers we approach the word father which the grateful and thankful for the privilege that we have to come together in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to lift up our voices in prayer and song and praise and worship and honor unto you thank you again tonight for your precious holy written word and thank you again for the great mighty one the Holy Spirit whom thy was sent to indwell us and to be our teacher and guide and we trust him tonight to unveil the Word of God unto our spirits we pray for all of us that we'll be doers of the word not just hearers only in Jesus name Amen amen well before you see the turnaround shake hands with your neighbor let him know you're glad they came tonight praise God amen thank your Lord praise God if you have your money boats you can open them with me to the book of Ephesians Ephesians chapter one we're going to begin to read with the fifty with the sixteenth verse of the first chapter of Ephesians Ephesians chapter one verse 16 and we'll read down through the end of the chapter here Paul said see I cease not to give thanks for you making mention of you in my prayers that the god of our Lord Jesus Christ the father of glory may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him the eyes of your understanding being enlightened that you may know what is the hope of his calling and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the Saints and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe according to the working of his mighty power which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places far above all principality and power and might and Dominion and every name thus named not only in this world but also in that which is to come and if put all things under his feet and gave him to be the head over all things to the church which is his body the fullness of him that filleth all in all then I want you to turn to the 3rd chapter of the book of Ephesians and we're going to start reading here with the fourteenth verse if he's in chapter 3 verse 14 for this cause I bow my knees under the father of our Lord Jesus Christ of who the whole family in heaven and earth is named that he would grant you according to the riches of his glory to be strengthened with might by his spirit in the inner men that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith that ye being rooted and grounded in love may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height and to know the love of Christ with passes knowledge that you might be filled with all the fullness of God now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages world without end amen hallelujah now these two prayers are Paul's prayers for the church at Ephesus for believers but these prayers of Paul can apply to you because their spirit given and spirit anointed prayers they're given by the spirit Paul is writing under the inspiration and unction of the Holy Ghost so they're given by the Spirit of God you could pray these prayers for yourself wherever Paul says you he said I pray that you are he we don't say ye thee and thou today.you in other words wherever he said you you can put me in there yourself amen notice again here in the in this opening in Ephesians 3 for this cause I bow my knees well we can just put myself with you ourself and then say I bow my knees unto the father of the Lord Jesus Christ of my Lord Jesus Christ of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named that he would grant me now she Paul said that he would grant you or year.you but that he would grant me according to the riches of his glory to be strengthened with might by his spirit in the inner man that Christ may dwell in my heart hallelujah by faith Paul in his prayer said that Christ writing the church that's big may dwell in your heart I can remember the last church that I pastored 1946 to 1949 and in the winter of 1947 48 I just did a lot of extra prayer in and I kept my Bible our part since is right next door to the church and I kept my Bible lying on the altar we had an altar bench here in front of the platform open to these two two openings here and every opportunity I got I must have prayed these prayers over and over for myself a thousand times probably more than that because you see if if this is given by the Holy Ghost and it never loses his inspiration amen and so uh you know I'd go on about my past or do this into whatever else I had to do but every opportunity I had I just go and kneel I'd bow my knees Paul said here I bow my knees and I say I bow my knees under the father of our Lord Jesus Christ and I'd say to him I'm praying these two prayers for myself and I must have done that as I said over and over and over and over again sometimes several times a day well after I'd done that for several weeks you know for several weeks I couldn't tell in the difference but after I've done that for several weeks now you're notice here that one thing he's praying for in this very first prayer is that the god of our Lord Jesus Christ the father of glory they give unto you that means unto me as I prayed it the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him the eyes of your understanding being enlightened another translator said the eyes of your spirit being enlightened and so after a number of weeks and I don't know how I said how many times I didn't keep count up that I'd prayed these prayers from self revelations begin to come I'm talking about revelation in line with the Word of God until I said to my wife you know what in the world have I been preaching you know and I'd been in the minister for 14 years and but but in six months time praying these prayers for myself in six months time just by revelation not reading any other book except the Bible I did look up you know getting messages ready you know and so on and so forth did some research but I receive so much a revelation in six months time from the Word of God that's why he's talking about revelation and the knowledge of him until it just seemed like I was a brand new person and I said don't know what in the world have I been preaching seems like this one I'd been preaching didn't amount to too much and and and so then one day I was praying there around the altar and the Lord said I'm going to take you on to revelations and visions and that came as a result of praying these prayers thousands of time for myself revelations like yourself kept coming winter 47 48 49 and then in 50 the vision started coming there's two three years about them coming and from 1950 through 1959 the Lord Jesus himself appeared to me eight different times and three out of the eight he talked to me for as long as an hour and a half and brought further revelation concerning the Word of God and so one what one revelation know that the Spirit of God brought to me was concerning the priority of the believer and that's the reason he wanted you to get this revelation now notice in Ephesians a sixth chapter in the twelfth verse it said for we wrestle not against the rulers of the darkness of this world we wrestle not against flesh and blood you know it said but it said we do wrestle against the rulers of the darkness of this world against spiritual wickedness in high places or the margin said in the heavenlies you see we need to realize though that we know that though we may be wrestling against these things yet we have authority through Christ over them this Authority is not the property of just a select few sometimes somebody think well you know they there they're a minister or they are an evangelist so their pastor or that person some great mighty saint of God but you know they don't have any more authority than you have amen this Authority is the true possession of every child of God belongs to every one of us now notice Ephesians the first chapter in the third verse blessed be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ now American revised version says with every instead of saying all every spiritual blessing all our every interchangeable in in other words in Christ all spiritual blessings belongs to us amen now notice go back here to this a little further down where there in the third verse of that first chapter feasts it but now go back again to the prayer that Paul prayed to for this church at Ephesus that the god of our Lord Jesus Christ the father glory may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation I notice in the knowledge of him I think we could paraphrase that like this in the knowledge of being the the knowledge of being in him amen because you see blessed be God in the father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with all or every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ you see this is our promise he's blessed us with every spiritual blessing now you stop and think about that little bit you know we look on certain people and we think well they're especially blessed of God you don't find that in the scripture anywhere he said here that he's blessed us Paul when he said us that meant Paul and the church at Ephesus and it belonged to the church and culture of the church wherever you are wherever you're from that that nobody's got a corner on it you see nobody's blessed beyond are not now some folks may know about it and be enjoyed it where others don't but in reality no one is blessed beyond someone else we need to know what belongs to us but just knowledge isn't enough knowledge acted upon brings results amen praise God authority belongs to all the children of God now the devil doesn't want the people of God to find out what belongs to them so he obscures the knowledge are the truth because he endeavors to defeat the child of God and he knows that the child of God when they know their authority and they know what belongs to them the devil knows that they'll enjoy victory over him so that's the reason he tries to obscure this knowledge and keep it from people that when the child of God knows the truth and has gained the knowledge and acts upon it the child of God is no longer dominated by the devil hallelujah the child of God will enjoy the reality that right fear rightfully belongs to him now notice Johny chapter xxxii verse jesus said and he shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free hallelujah now it isn't just that the truth will make you free it's annoying the truth and I'll say also acting on that truth that makes you free now let's notice in Luke the tenth chapter xix verse Luke chapter 10 verse 19 jesus said behold i give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you now I want you to notice that in this I read King James translation that the word power is used twice in this verse behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy the word power is used twice there but there are two different Greek words that are used here they're not the same word Jesus actually said I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy you see this Greek word first is translated power if you look it up in a Greek on corners also means authority and read it would be better there it would be better there if it had translated that authority because you would understand your authority because you see if you keep the word power there people think well I've got the power you know I've got to and then they're sort of shake themselves said well I know feeling the power well it's just sort of like this did you you ever drive down you know about time people getting off from work you know somewhere and lights have gone out or something there's a policeman there directing the traffic and you'll have folks to come this away for a while then he'll just hold up his hand and everybody will stop well nah he don't have the power to hold those cars back all of them he don't have that kind of streak but he's got the authority to do it and we recognize that Authority and we honor that authority I mean I just becoming the other day you know out here to school and they was doing some work over here on 61st where the the the free weights coming through that and because some truckers crossed it well there's a fella there stopped me you see well I ride I honored that I stopped everybody stopped behind me well that little free you'll fella couldn't hold back all of those cars if they'd wanted to go he didn't have the power but he's got the authority and I recognize the authority you know the devil recognizes Authority amen he recognizes Authority amen absolutely absolutely praise God I remember reading from Smith Wigglesworth I remember the first time I read it years and years ago way back I think well maybe about 1938 and I first got hold of the book ever increasing faith Wigglesworth was an Englishman live that in England and he he was there in in London on one occasion and he came out of a house well actually standing on the corner waiting for a bus what he's doing who as we would call him a bus and and the lady came out of apartment house close by and he said there's a little dog just doing these little bitty dog little finest dogs we caught him some time come along with behind there you know and you know just to rubbing up against her ankles you know and she said now honey you're gonna have to go back you can't go and he just rubbed up against her ankles you know her and he said now dear you can't go and about that time the bus drove up and he said she stomped her foot said get and that dog you know tucked his tail between his legs and took off wiglesworth said without thinking I shouted right out loud that's the way you've got to do the devil amen recognize your authority amen and just tell him to get praise God for evermore can you say Amen hallelujah ground I remember 1942 we as pastor down in East Texas now part 1942 not 1943 and this incident happened over in the first part winter 1943 and and I didn't say a thing to anybody about every missing him awhile but night after night in the nighttime I would awaken with some of the most alarming heart symptoms and I had been you know with the heart condition in time pass and I just standing against it you know in the name of Jesus and so on and so one night then I know sometimes for an hour at a time in the night time I just stand against every symptom and so I drifted off back to sleep and in my sleep I dream another minister and I were walking you know like across the stadium a ball field you know or an arena or parade grounds we were just walking along talking you know and suddenly he jumped said look and I turned around look and two ferocious lines I mean they were coming after us just two snarling their fangs are showing you know and growling and we both just took off and running and then I just stopped dead still and I said to him we you know they'll get us before we can't get out we can't get to the fence fast enough and get over into the the stands we and he kept all right and I turned around and faced him and stood it running from him I walked towards him and when they got not to where I was I just stopped dead still and I spoke to him in my dream I spoke to him I said now you can't harm me in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I rebuke you and they just sort of sniffed around my pants like like a little dog you know and turned around frolicked off and I woke up and I said that's it that's it see I stood my ground the devil came as a roaring line they know how to ever simply left me never to return glory to God amen because you see I recognize my authority and stood my ground a lot of folks when it comes to the devil sort of like a minister said to me I was I was preaching a convention for one of our Full Gospel are our Pentecostal denominations number of years ago a district convention and I was one of the main speakers not the owner one but one of the main speakers and so one of the ministers said to me I'd held him ever meeting in his church you see and he said to me well praise God brother Hagin I got the devil on the run I said praise the Lord he said the trouble is though I'm running he's after me well now that's not using your authority hey man that's not standing your ground you know too many times that's the case instead of us putting him on the run he's got us on the run well he don't have me on the run and he shouldn't have you on the run and when you know the truth praise God now why couldn't that policeman just stop that traffic by holding up his hand as he got the strength to stop all of those cars as he got the strength of the power in other words to hold them all back no he's got the authority well where did he get that authority it was delegated to him authority is delegated power say that out loud authority is delegated power Amen now look at Ephesians a sixth chapter in the tenth verse finally my brethren be strong in the Lord and in the power of his mind now notice that this scripture does not say to be strong in yourself see you quote that verse or give that verse to someone who may be having some problems or something and they'll say well I'm trying to be strong never said a word about you trying to be strong never said a word about you being strong in your strength or in your power or in yourself notice it said be strong in the Lord now what can you be strong in the Lord because he's delegated authority to you it's in him it's in him blessed be God in the father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ be strong in the Lord you see the value of authority depends upon the force behind the user now the value of authority like that for reasons we'll go back to that illustration he just holds up his head and stops all the traffic the failure of his authority depends on the forces behind him and we know something about that all the laws behind him well now you get out there just just you know yourself and over no badge and no no authority and hold up the emcee I mean listen to you a mad Jesus said let's go back now to Luke 10:19 with that in mind Jesus said I give unto you instead of power now this used the word authority there because that is the meaning of this greek word i give on you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy now is he literally talking about snakes scorpions no no no he's just using them as a type because notice he said I give you power or authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power lenity so he's called in serpents and scorpions power of the enemy isn't here she's talking about Devils demons and evil spirits I give you authority he in other words God Himself is the force behind the authority I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy the believer who is thoroughly conscious of the divine power behind him and of his own authority can face the enemy without fear or without hesitancy can you see men now notice first John chapter 4 verse 4 first John chapter 4 verse 4 ye are of God little children and have overcome them now notice that who is the them that he's talking about that you've overcome this applies to every believer well read the first three verses do you'll find out that's talking about demons and evil spirits now why does he say you've overcome them notice he doesn't say you're gonna overcome well I'm trying to know believe what the Bible said and take your authority said you have overcome them because greater is He that's in you than he that's in the world hallelujah in the first place he that's in you Christ in you the hope of glory indwelling you through the person and power of the Holy Spirit he's already overcome all of them and he gives you the authority see to tread on serpents and scorpions scorpions or serpents and over all the power of the enemy hallelujah you see power on earth invested in the name of Jesus Christ and obtained by him through his overcoming the enemy belongs unto the church therefore exercise that authority for it belongs to you on the earth and in this life you shall reign by Jesus Christ hallelujah now look at Matthew the 28th chapter in the eighteenth verse Matthew chapter 28 18 and Jesus came and spake unto them saying all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth now again this word here is the same word that's translated elsewhere Authority in the New Testament can be translated and it be a better translation in other words all authority is given unto me in heaven and in earth this Greek word as I said translated here means Authority now notice this that the Lord Jesus immediately transferred that authority to the church he is head we are the body the authority has to be activated through the body which is on earth amen and to tell you the real truth about that's only authority that Christ has on this earth is through his body now he's the head and you're the your we are the body the Bible uses the human body as an illustration of the body of Christ how much authority in this world and on this earth can your head exercise apart from your body none whatsoever if you think you can just cut your head off and see what your head can do amen I said they met let's look at some more scripture again there in Ephesians 1:22 and have put all things under his feet and gave him to be the head over all things to the church we've never dressed that yet like we should let's read that again and have put all things under his feet and gave him to be the head over all things to the church now you see folks look that said well it's all under Jesus feet they're thinking about Jesus the man but notice he said he gave him to be the head you got any feet in your head no he's talking about the feet he's talking about here in the church in the body because he gave him to be head over all things to the church notice Ephesians 1:20 that's 120 to notice 120 quit see wrought in Christ when did he do this which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places now notice Ephesians chapter 2 verse 5 and 6 even when we were dead in sins hath quickened us together with Christ by grace are you saved and has raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus now that's not something that he's going to do he's already done it Jesus is at the right hand of the Father that's the place of authority you know do you know anything about right hand denotes the place of authority notice and we are seated with him glory to God glory to God now let's read further here in ephesians 2 we will back up there again start with verse 1 and then read a little further and you have he quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins where in time past you walk according to the course of this world according to the Prince of the power of the air that spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience among whom also we all had our conversation or manner of life or conduct in times past in the lusts of our flesh fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind and we're by nature of the children of Wrath even as others but God who is rich in mercy for his great love wherewith he loved us even when we were dead in sins hath quickened us together with Christ by grace mercy and has raised us up together and made us sit together hallelujah in heavenly places in Christ Jesus now that all has to do with the feasts 1:3 blessed be God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ in Christ Jesus verse 7 that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of His grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus now notice especially the words in the first chapter the 19th verse of the first chapter the exceeding greatness of his power to us word who believe notice that expression the exceeding greatness of his power to us word who believed in other words there is such a putting forth of the divine omnipotence of God's power through Jesus in reason him from the dead that this is actually the mightiest working of God all principalities all powers minds and dominions and every name that's mentioned in this world and in the ages to come have endeavored to defeat the plan of God but Christ arose hallelujah and he ascended and he is seated at the right hand of the Father Satan's powers have been baffled and overthrown by our Lord Jesus Christ he has been he has been enthroned far above them ruling with the authority of the Most High the source of authority is found in this resurrection and seeding of Christ by God now notice that he speaks of the exceeding greatness of his power to us word who believe he's speaking so that the eyes of the church might be open the eyes of all churches God wants us to know what happened he wanted us to know that he set Christ far above all principality and power and might and Dominion Ephesians 1:21 this fact is overlooked by so many churches it is a fact amen it's overlooked by so many Christians the Spirit of God prayed through the Apostle Paul so that the Church of Ephesus would see it he prayed that the eyes of their understanding would be enlightened that they may see this but God desires that we - we believers that we too should have wisdom and revelation now thank God for the cross of Jesus Christ with its revelation of obedience to God thank God for atonement for sin and crushing defeat of foes shows us that a representative man because Christ was our representative he was a representative overcoming for mankind he was preparing a throne and a heavenly ministry for those who would overcome through him now we observe in connection with this identification of Christ's people with himself in this crisis of Resurrection in the very first verse of chapter 2 and hath quickened you who were dead in translation and has quickened us together with him now I want you to notice this in that second chapter look at it again and you King James translated hath he quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins now did you notice that the word Hathi quicken is italicized those three words you understand this that anytime you find words in the King James Version that italicized that means that they were not into the original New Testament they're not in the Greek let's read that and leave them out and you who were dead in trespasses and sins you who were dead in trespasses and said a better way to express it might be like this and you who in knew you were dead in trespasses and sins now the reason I want to make this so clear is that the verb that really controls this passage is in the 20th verse of the first chapter remember Paul didn't write a letter to the Ephesians in chapter in verses when you get here in the second chapter years he's still talking about continuation of the first chapter so now then go back to the first chapter and let's read the 19th and 20th verses again and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us word who believe according to the working of his mighty power which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead and sent him at his own right hand in the heavenly places now here's what he's saying according to the working of the strength of his might when he raised him from the dead and you when you were dead hallelujah you see the same verse which expresses the reviving of Christ expresses the reviving of his people in other words the act of God which raised Christ from the dead also raised his body amen in the mind of God when Jesus was raised of the dead we were raised from the dead he man look again in Ephesians two five and six even when we were dead in sins hath quickened us together with Christ and raised us up together hallelujah and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus now you see this passage talks about the conferring of this authority notice that the head and the body are naturally raised together amen Christ is the head and the church is the body we are seated with him see not just the head is seated but the body is seated with Christ this Authority is conferred not only upon the head but also upon the body because the head and the body are one your head and your body are one aren't they when you think of a person you think of their head and body you don't think of their head apart from their body do you and you don't think of their body apart from the head you think of the whole person if we as a church as believers can ever get the revelation of the fact that we are Christ now that's people can take that and run off with it make all kinds of whatever out of it they won't - because they don't listen to what you say I'll be perfectly on it with some of these people I question their intelligence I don't care how many degrees they've got on the end of the name I would say that they're either ignorant or dishonest and some of them both of them said now he thinks he's Christ no the body is Christ and I'm a member of that body amen I said amen now if we as a church ever get this revelation of the fact that we are we are not I am we are Christ then we're going to rise up and do the works of Christ hallelujah when we realized that the authority that belongs to Christ belongs to the individual member of the body of Christ and is available to us then our lives will be revolutionized now then let's notice first Corinthians 12 chapter 12 verse 12 first Corinthians chapter 12 verse 12 for as the body is one and all member and have many members and all the members of that one body being many are one body now he's using the human body as an illustration isn't it of the body of Christ isn't it I said isn't it I know for as the body is one and hath many members just think about your human body now it's one but it has many members and all the members of that one body being many are one body so also is Christ so also is Christ so also is Christ amen the church is called Christ we are Christ he's calling the body which is the church Christ now notice further there in first Corinthians 12 that's the twelfth verse now notice the thirteenth and fourteenth verses of the same opening for by one spirit are we all baptized into one body whether we be Jews or Gentiles whether we be bond or free and have been and have been all made to drink into one spirit for the body is not one member but many hallelujah now skip down that same opening 2612 chapter first Corinthian to the 27th verse now ye are the body of Christ and members in particular glory to God thank God we are the body of Christ now notice in 2nd Corinthians Paul continually talked the same truth the same fact notice 2nd Corinthians the sixth chapter fourteenth verse be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers for what Fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness what communion hath light with darkness what Concord hath Christ with Belial or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel the believer is called righteousness the unbeliever is called unrighteousness the believer is called light the unbelievers called darkness the believer is called Christ the unbeliever is called be Liam Amen now turn back to 1st Corinthians chapter 6 verse 17 but he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit but he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit you see we are one with Christ we are Christ we are seated at the right hand of Majesty on high we are seated with him in heavenly places all things have been put under our feet our trouble is now listen to me carefully because you can misunderstand misconstrue what I'm saying one problem of is that we have too much cross religion preached that's where folks have thought that we're supposed to stay we used to sing the song keep me near the cross however the cross is really a place of defeat the resurrection is a place of triumph hallelujah we must of course first go to the cross but let's don't stop there let's don't stop at the cross we've got too many cross Christians and then their cross with everybody and everything that's good right let's don't stop at the cross let's go on to Pentecost hallelujah some Pentecostal people have received the Holy Spirit they backed up to the cross and have stayed there but what we need to do is come by the cross but don't stuff they go on to pinnacle and don't stop there don't stop at Pentecost come on up be seated [Applause] hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah amen the Holy Ghost is saying now allow my people give heed to my word so you shall be delivered from the bondage of death and shall walk in the newness of life hallelujah we're not after cross we died with him look again even when we were dead in trespasses and sins is quickened us together with Christ by grace you see and it's raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ we died with it that's what water baptism is a type of your signifying when they buried you in the water that you died but they don't leave you there in the water they're sure you're brought up out of the water hallelujah we died with him but he has raised us up together notice that as a rate that's six verse in the second chapter of the theses and has raised us up together and has raised us up together hallelujah and then made us sit together and yet we hardly know anything about it we haven't heard much about it where is he sitting where are we sitting in heavenly places it said in Christ Jesus now look into another scripture we know that he's seated wherever he's seated we're seated wherever the head is that's where the bond is seated amen I mean there you are sitting there on the chair whatever chair your heads on your body is seated right there your heads not over here on this side and your body over on this side you see he seated at the right hand of the throne of God in the center of the power of the whole universe and we're seated there with him glory to God it's the exercising of power of the throne that was committed committed unto the ascended lord and that authority belongs to us we know that Christ with his physical resurrected body is there in full possession of his rights awaiting the father's time when his enemies all of them shall be made his footstool notice Hebrews 1:13 but which of the Angels said he at any time sit on my right hand see that's where he do we know where he's seated and that's where we see until I make thine enemies thy footstool hallelujah the ever the elevation of his people for we are his people with him to the heavenly has no other meaning in that we were made to share his authority go rid of God we're made to sit with him and share his throne to share throne means without question to protect the authority which that throne represents thank God that's in his plan and we've been elevated to this place that we may exercise to the extent of our spiritual comprehension authority over the powers of the air now some of us have exercised a little more authority than others because we had a little more spiritual comprehension than others but God wants all of us I said God wants all of us to have that spiritual comprehension the spirit prayed through Paul that all might have wisdom and understanding that we might have authority over the powers of the air and over the conditions with which these powers are still creating through their ceaseless manipulations of the minds of mankind I want you to notice what he said here in this second verse of Ephesians first verse you Hathi quicken are you who were dead in trespasses sin where in time past ye walked according to the course of the world I noticed according to the Prince of the air but we were elevated above that glory to God the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience I remember dad Nelson PC Nelson he was a Baptist minister for 32 years then was he owner doctor said he's gonna have to take off his limb and then he's filled with the Holy Ghost spoke to other tongues became Pentecostal full of Gospel March of nineteen a pretending a convention and he was there and spoke in the afternoon in the fall of the air on October of that year he went home to be with the Lord at age 74 that's the last time I ever heard him he spoke on the subject of faith and in the course of his message he said this he said in 19 well before 1900 he said there in Chicago I saw John Alexander Dowie and I think that's one thing then when the doctor will take off instantly I'm God began to remind him up I saw John Alexander Dowie in the presence of several of we denominational preachers he's Baptist minister time and several medical doctors I saw him the doctors had brought a woman who had a malignant growth on the side of her face he said he'd grown out they're almost as big as another head and go back in her mouth grew purplish looking mass and what they treated within was put something on that was poisonous and they couldn't put anything on that cause it's inside their mouth she'd get too much pause didn't kill her if it treated otherwise you know your liver would absorb a certain amount of poison but he said I saw dr. Nelson said I saw John Alexander Dowie reach out and take hold of that malignancy and say in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ had stripped that off of that woman's face and he said those doctors their president immediately begin to examine and they said these brand-new skin that's just like me they're like a newborn baby skin all over the whole side of her face well when talking about the Ministry of John Alexander Dowie but the Nelson said you couldn't follow dowas doctrine but he said you can follow his faith you see he'd come to realize some of the authority that belonged to him you see a person we need to realize this can be wrong in the head and right in their heart and reading since then after dhabi I think he is wrong in his head about several things but he was right at his heart and one thing if she come to realize certain amount of authority in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and brother Nelson said don't tell me you can't follow the faith of a man like that said don't follow his doctrine but you can't follow his faith well now now it was born in Scotland he is educated and graduated University of Edinburgh actually he was a lawyer to begin with and he moved down to all straight didn't later became a minister he said that he crossed the ocean 14 times in his life and many times see this they didn't have all the you know because we talked about before 1900 when he crossed they didn't have all the means of coming education and navigation saw that we have today and he said that every time that they cross many times they were troubled you see the sea was troubled by storms where they had no way of knowing is there like we do today that they could change the direction perhaps and move a different way but he said every time a storm came up he just did what Jesus had done he rebuked the storm and it would cease hallelujah hey man now we shouldn't be amazed at that Jesus said in John 14:12 he that believeth on me the works that I do shall he do amen he rebuked the storm and it ceased didn't it amen well now Jesus didn't say that only a select few would be able to do the works that he's to do it he spoke of those that believe on him see we have authority because we're Christians this Authority becomes available to us because we're seated with him so now we did the same thing that Jesus did when there was a storm I remember when I was bed fast and I took my bed in April 1933 and on New Year's Day out of 405 North County Street city in McKinney Texas and on New Year's Day we moved my grandfather owned several houses in different parts of town and he decided that we'd move into one of his houses so he asked the people to vacate and they had vacated and he had redone the inside of the house and painted it outside and on New Year's Day was a holiday but we moved on that day because he is off from work well they waited until everything to move me because I'm bed fast and they waited until all of the all the other furniture gone put up in different rooms and put a different bedroom suit in my my bedroom and then before they came and got the last load of furniture because they were made several trips just there in town mr. Jimmy Dale had to move in company and he just had one of these bobtail trucks he couldn't carry everything once and so they left my bedroom suit and the kitschy stuff till the last but what just before they came for the last load then mr. Harris and mr. McDonald from Harris funeral home came the ambulance and they lifted me over on the stretcher rolled me out and put me in the ambulance and I'm not going to that you heard the story you know he said to me said young man they tell me you've been bed fast for about a year I said well really about nine months and he said well yeah I've been outside of the house I said no sir he said well well it's a New Year's day not much try we'll just drive around a little bit if you don't do through the residental section I could at least turn the head look out either side of the ambulance and then he came they came from the north going south down North Chester Street to the Courthouse Square little town about eight thousand five hundred nine thousand population courthouse set out in the middle of the square most all of the business there are around the square few businesses off about a block and on either way and so if we came there to the west side going south on North Kentucky to the west side of the square I'm looking at the buildings there and right on the corner of the square was Gambel's drugstore on the north east corner of northwest corner and then the next next beside it was JC Penney company and next it was a little latest modo de dress shop and next it was elf FW Woolworth and next it was bone shoe store and then on the corner the southeast corner of the west side of the square you see our southwest corner there was a ladies ready-to-wear cause of the leader and then he turned this corner and started down the south side of the square and on the corner was ppl Texas Power and Light Company their main office where you went to pay your light bill next it was Perkins dry goods store then about that time I turned my head and looked at the old courthouse sitting in the middle of the square and there was a voice said to me look how did a good boy the last time you'll ever see it you never thought you'd ever see it again cuz they centers you see look at it good this is the last time you'll ever see it and you never would see it I wouldn't have seen at this time if it hadn't been for the kindness of mr. Harris and I didn't know what I knew now no now I didn't even know why I did it but the Holy Ghost is leading you a lot of time when you don't even realize it but I remember i clenched my fists so that my fingernails dug into my hands and I said yes I will I'll come in the flesh and let stand on this Courthouse Square and see these buildings in the flesh I didn't really realize those prophesy it came to pass it can't eight months later eight months later blessed be God second Saturday the second Saturday of August 1934 I stood on that Courthouse Square with tears streaming down the face and said mister devil I told you I told you well you see it without realized that you got over into the edge of that authority without really but Paul how much more can you walk in it when you realize that the full revelation the eyes of your understanding being enlightened amen now what I started to say is though we move from 405 North County Street down to 903 East Greenville Street my bedroom is right up front my bedroom is on the southwest corner of the house so in the spring then when the storms begin to come the tornadoes begin to come here in Texas and Oklahoma you know Oklahoma and Texas and usually they'll come right out of the southwest and so one day here came the storm I didn't know everything I know now but you could hear it just like a freight train to come in and it looked like the wall was going to come in on top of me and so I can't get up and get out of bed I'm helpless but I said to the Lord Lord Jesus when you is here on earth you rebuke the storm and it ceased you know I can't get up and get out of the way of it any more than out there in the middle of the ocean daba could get up and get out of the way of it and so I said dear Lord I'm your child when the disciples were at sea and the farm came up they'll walk you they rebuked the storm and it left well I know you don't want me to perish I can't get out of here this wall is about ready I mean it's just about it's just rolling in now the wall of the room it's ready to blow right in on top of me I rebuke this storm in the name of Jesus when I said that all most of my mase about almost immediately the storm stopped hallelujah I think it's time to maybe all of us have gotten in the edge of that without even knowing I certainly didn't know what I know now but we read to realize something about the authority of this hours and take advantage of it hallelujah now notice Ephesians chapter 6 verse 2 let's go back there real quickly then we'll wind up for tonight we're picking right back up here tomorrow night because certainly you can't get through this and one night or even two nights for we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities against powers rulers of the darkness of this world gets powers against spiritual wickedness in high places or the margin said against wicked spirits in the heavenlies but remember now that we are seated far above amen even these wicked spirits in the heavens now the Word of God teaches us that these evil spirits are rebel holders of authority and that they have been dethroned by the Lord Jesus Christ Jesus did thrown them and now we can reign over them now Satan became the god of this world by Adams committing high treason and selling out to him Satan is called by Paul second corinthians 4:4 the god of this world God made the earth you know that and the fullness thereof he gave Adam dominion over all the work of his hands so Satan didn't have dominion here on earth to begin with did he Adam had it we must remember however that we are in the world but we're not of the world hallelujah he's not dominating us he's not running everything down here on the earth he's not dominating us he we can dominate him we have authority over him now we need to build these truths into our lives how are you going to do it by constantly feeding along this line and meditating on it you know naturally speaking weeds certain foods some of them eat the same thing every day doctors tell us our systems need certain vitamins and minerals and protein daily to build strong body so we'll eat the same kind of food same food very often even fix the same way some time over and over and over again continue to do so well there are spiritual vitamins that we need every day to in order to be healthy Christians now this go back to Matthew 28:18 in conclusion all power or authority it's given unto me jesus said in heaven and in earth now we prayed very often now Lord you do this and you do that but the authority on the earth is conferred upon us all the authority that can be exercised upon the earth has to be exercised through the church because the physical Christ is not here but Christ the church is here the body of Christ he's at the right hand of the Father literally but we the body of Christ are here all of his orders must be carried out through his body your head cannot do one thing except through your body this Authority has been delegated to us we need to rely the head has already delegated that authority to us now see a lot of problems exists because we permit them to we're not doing anything about them amen we're not doing anything about them I said we're not doing anything about amen remember what Jesus said Matthew 18:18 what things ever you bind on earth will be bound to have my things ever you loose on earth be loosed in heaven notice heaven doesn't do anything that something's done here on the earth amen I remember many years ago I was studying something along this line it became surreal to me line across my bed one afternoon I couldn't explain it with the natural mind to save my life but I knew it in my heart I begin to see the authority that we had I could hear the Lord challenging me I could hear him saying you do something about it I remember for many years I've been praying from oldest brother to be saved not fasted and prayed he was sort of the black sheep of the family in spite of my prayers it seemed that he got worse instead of better I'd always prayed God save him but I heard the Lord challenging me to do something about it he was telling me that I had the authority so I rose up off of that bed with a Bible in one hand lifted up the other hand to heaven said in the name of Jesus I break the power of the devil over my brother's life and I claim his salvation you see I'd given the order now you remember Romans 5:17 if you don't remember just turn that real quick and read it turn there real quick Romans 5:17 for if by one man's offense death reigned not talking about physical death talking about spiritual death reigned by one much some more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one Jesus Christ another translation seller said shall reign as kings in life by one Jesus Christ I'd given the order you see when a king gives an order he knows that it's going to be carried out because he's in authority the devil tried to tell me that my brother would not be saved I remember I uh I went my way and I went on to another meeting teaching in the morning time at 10 o'clock in the afternoon I lay down to rest a little bit woke up was thirsty got up left my bedroom went across the living room into the kitchen got me a glass of water just just a step back in the living room but just like is of just like somebody right there with me said oh come on now you don't think old Doug will ever be saved do you I just stopped right there dead in my tracks and from the inside of me way down in here something my spirit begin to laugh and it just bubbled up till it come out my mouth and I said no mr. devil I don't think that I never have thought I know it because you see I've taken the name of Jesus and broke your power over him amen same thing happened two days later on the same spot I said the same thing to him the next Sunday he was saved now he didn't always walk in the light of it but thank god we've got him walking better now hallelujah are you listening to me now here's something that we need to see a lot of time people endeavor to use the authority that belong to them but when circumstances don't change immediately they become this disturbed and sometimes discouraged and slip back into the natural they start talking unbelief and then they defeat themselves they give unconsciously they give the devil dominion over them well I didn't see anything change at the moment are you listening to me I didn't see anything changed at the moment but I knew I'd spoken praise God with the authorities brought to me and didn't disturb me and bother me that he spit in the world and that time came to past about ten days that doesn't always come to pass that fast I remember the first person that took my wife and I were pastor River Church in North Texas and a lady brought her sister who was an inmate of state institution doctor said her mind will never be right as we prayed the Spirit of God said go stand in front of us they come out line unclean spirit in the name of Jesus and I did what do you say anything happened up that you could tell I mean she looked just as crazy she did see people forget we walk by faith and not beside I knew I'd spoken I knew I'd stood in the place of authority I knew I'd spoken the word of faith her sister bunker up trigger on that third afternoon now the third day Monday Monday afternoon lady of our church that had come with her called this woman would remember our church they live 15 miles away she came rushing back over to our pastors our found and our partners said old brother Hagin brother Hagin pray pray I said what about well this lady is having a spell like she did when she first lost her mind I said what of it did you ever read in the Bible when Jesus rebuked the Spirit and command him to go that sometime before left he'd throw people down in town I said the the command to faith has spoken Saturday afternoon he knows he's got to go he's just tired her before he goes when when that's over but she'll be fine and the lady of our church said well that's exactly what her sister said sure enough that's exactly what happened I talked to my wife and I talked to her sister 19 years later and her mind was still fine working in the place of mr. team to Sunday School class the church praise God are you listening to me those folks are not exercising the authority that's acting out here in this realm of so-called deliverance praying with people for hours and hours and hours and getting the devil to talk to him what do you want him talk to him for he's a liar anyway who wants told the conversation with the liar no just go ahead and speak the word go ahead and exercise the authority and then they want some kind of a manifestation if they don't have any kind of manifestation they don't think the devil is gone we didn't see any manifestation at the moment my wife and I were holding a meeting in Pennsylvania several years ago suburbs of Pittsburgh lady came to us said with y'all minister to me now we notice it she she's a holding the clinics to her mouth so we went into a back room and she console there's a white foam running out her mouth she had used the moxa clinics just in a little while just this just constantly there's a white foam running out her mouth she said to my wife and I I went to one of those deliverance meetings and they said you've got a devil and they purported to cast it out on men when they did they told me to start coughing or something I said I began to try to and said this foam started run down my mountain and they couldn't do anything about and he's been doing that now for weeks and days and two or three months can you help me I said sure can well I - sure appreciate it if you can't mr. Kumar was still alive singing her choir there in Pittsburgh so my wife and I just very calmly I just very calmly said in the name of Jesus you found spirit I command you to leave this woman and manifest yourself no more in Christ's name Amen now immediately we had to manifest a you see what kind of matter what you do call for a vomit or jump no just sit there very calmly just stop the phone stop running out of her mouth she's back in the meeting again before the meeting was over never had another symptom I said to her don't go around many of those so called deliverance meetings you'll get a devil because with them everything's a devil everything's a devil everything's a devil that's where she got it she picked it up there you need to learn to have enough sense to stay away from some places though shout me down now cause I'm preaching real good say Amen if you can if you can't say Oh me because it's still so anyway amen I said Amen well there's no use of us give him the devil dominion over cuz he think it can't take it unless I let him anyway or unless you let him amen I said Amen thank God authority belongs to us I said Authority belongs to us we are seated stand up everybody said out loud we are seated I am seated with Christ in heavenly places at the right hand of the Father the place of authority hallelujah I have been raised up together with him and he has made us to sit together in heavenly places in Christ his authority is my authority his name belongs to me in the mind of God and in the mind of Christ we were raised when Christ was raised when Christ sat down we sat down to that's where we are now hallelujah the act of sitting indicates that for the time being certain aspects of his work in abeyance but now we're sitting with him with all the authority given unto him that authority belongs to us that authority is mine we exercise the authority that was given to him because it belongs to us through him we help him by carrying out his work upon the earth not only how we been made to sit but we are sitting farmer all principality and hallelujah not only is Christ seated at the right hand of the Father heart above all these powers but we're there too far it reads he have made us not going to make us made us in modern usage together that's where you are take your place lift your hands and think [Applause] we hope this message from Kenneth Hagin ministries has blessed you today for more information on Kenneth Hagin ministries please call write or visit our website today thank you for your continued prayers and support
