so is this not a good candidate to do it before Dino George if it does it before Dino it means that we'll be changing the engine on the dyno and I'm often up or if I push it down the other shop push it back to this yeah it doesn't sound good should I put my old clunky engine sound effect over here do I not eat - I don't eat on this one pop the hood right-wing misfiring a little shimmy shimmy shake yeah yeah we don't get it too hot but yeah this one isn't in the best shape so the engine that he is putting in is not here yet it's actually surprised at how he is getting it here I'm not gonna show you yet I want it to be a surprise but it's coming anyway we haven't had one delivered yet so the boxes that are gonna be for the install are already here I'll just kind of sit there and offer and they you look so you know kind of what's going on here so yeah it is August and the car of the month is a four Fiesta back to and if you guess from England no that is an xr2 I I remember those from back when I lived there I wanted one bit the insurance was too much money could never afford it so putting the air conditioner on is already up to 89 you know Brian personally stuffs those boxes personally yeah you should ask him how do you get so much paper in so many mounts in that little box so this is the layout right here these are the parts he's got I want to call him here in a minute a couple of things that I'll see one of course is being an engine but the engine harness I don't see and the engine conversion harness I don't know what he is doing for that one I call him and double-check but everything else is here we have the cables and the shift box will let you know what we think of that I'm pretty much a fan of the OEM boxes but these are getting better all the time so I'll give you my honest opinion of that and of course he has a swap head or so that will make our life a little bit easier this was knock sensor VTEC pressure and VTEC in a tight bar which should be in the hardest but it was wired up separately and this looking at here this is a look at the size first off it's got the really big a solenoid this is the obd oh this is like the GM v6 DNA from like the CR X's and it has the white plugs that we're familiar to you so it's it's kind of mismatch of all kinds of stuff over here GSR throttle body you see the way the cable hooks up right here this cable would usually go this way and the cable would pull this direction so this gives them a terrific throttle feel by putting it that way around you know obviously it's not a single radiator this is you know one that would usually be here but hey look at that fits so we're gonna do a little bit of tweaking around obviously this radiator has to go on that side he has his own hoses so we're just gonna put the parts in that he has and do the modification the way the kit would but of course we could do a little bit of cleanup along the way cause it's it's a little grimy under there but to take the hydraulic line off from the slave I love there's one there there's another one here so it's light you can leave this one in there and use that one and swap back and forth whatever you want so we've got a lot of little things to take out here and clean up I know he does have the new line with his new kit so we'll take all this stuff off but we'll lose that line and try and get rid of some of the stuff that he's not gonna be running in here [Applause] [Music] I can't hardly see it but it's very dark it's not exactly reflect on the white as well no it's Nicktoons don't even know what it is oh you're up there no like a little mouse house in the car yeah whenever you see those little bits of paper like that yeah yeah Sully's been living in there hopefully it doesn't come back [Music] [Music] has it made a change to it great did you really always put ceramic bearings in it has he already took off you did and you did are you ready yeah so that's the secret of ball bearing turbo technology that is brilliant look at that crazy you say well the rpm limit is looking pretty good let's go full throttle I don't break it I know I don't want to break it it's too full to break sorry you wanna put this in the the Civic Si George p-series Civic go from four cylinders down to three with a bit of a strange sound in the background when it's running sounds like a steam engine right a thing in it I think they've all moved out maybe they went wherever the house went yeah what does the inside look like you could break it open over the draft this part in here can't we see in there how about there I thought was home know how it just matches the thing on the steering column should cut in half on the Sun so if you can see the internal loaded yeah that's what it looks like so we could almost make a separate video on what we find wrong with this car look at the lug nuts right here see anything wrong all right so now the engines out we should have done this first because we've got our hands dirty like ten times everything's leaking greasy and yucky a good old action explosion so we've put the axles back in just so we can roll it if you don't do this the wheel bearings will expand and become loose and they don't often fix themselves when you put them back together so that's a word of warning so we're going to go ahead and go outside pressure clean this really good so we have a nice starting point it's only nice to work with we see what's going on so you might have seen our pressure cleaning system before this is a Krenzel this is the one that Matt sells makes our life so much easier we're basically gonna do this this that he's ready to go [Music] all right so it looks a whole lot better mainly easy to work on because down we're not gonna get as oily all that grease that builds up there is just yucky so now let this thing dry what I'd recommend is always tip these below them out spray some wd-40 in there that'll help disperse any water flowed out again and you will be okay you'll be in good shape so thanks thing hold it back in the shop so the mount has to be removed so that this bracket can go on there and then it can accept this mount of course we use in has four mounts these are the ones we use I look at neck free tech or Tuesday coupon from Brian that's pretty nice of evident nice I think he actually got that whole program started every time I see him on Instagram between doing Civic type-r swaps is that Taco Tuesday so this is the rear mount and this is the mount that goes on this and then this one is goes to the factory pocket on the car obviously goes to the I think goes this way around goes on the transmission because the engine is flipped and then this goes on that right there again but like these mounts because they fit you know how to worry about it you don't have to cut them and drill them and adjust them you just put them in it makes our life much much easier alright so this is where the mount goes when we pulled that off went ahead and sanded it and painted it a little bit of yellow just kind of blended it's not the perfect that of course it's better than it ruston so without removing the ABS unit you have to drill this will move this leg over so we can use that we'll go to the pictures a lot of people cut that off but we managed to bend that ear over so we can use it and this is the hole that you drill out you drill this you drill them all the way through so one of the tricks to get your drill in here it's gonna be kind of tough what we did I'll show you it makes makes life a little bit easier the call of shockwave there so that you could put them in your impact I wouldn't recommend that but the end it has the quarter inch end hence the socket quarter inch socket and this is just a 3/8 extension that way it will fit inside your gun we using a Milwaukee and main gun right here so quarter inch socket these are the drill bits we use the Milwaukee drill bits they have the quarter inch end on them so you now have an extra long drill with a little bit of flex so you can fit in there you see how much room we got we get a drill in there perfect all right so a mount is in unbolted as you see that can be bent so if you're searching around the internet like we did just to verify its and right because two of the threaded holes were stripped out you can use that and it does fit makes us feel better that's bolted in correctly and here's the shifter he supplied it's a hybrid racing unit that bolts in from the bottom it's actually the most the least invasive one I've seen you get the whole arm up here and it just comes through this hole so the only thing that I've done is drill these two holes upfront otherwise it uses these tools back here which are the factors for the B linkage all right so we've prepped for the motor we've got everything removed that we don't need in there and the mounts are in everything is clean all we need now is the motor alright remember I told you that the engine has come in a slightly less than conventional way there it is and there it is Big John on the spot a little engine right in the middle interesting obviously everybody knows what this motor is it is the k20a I'll find out where he got it from he ordered it himself but it's pretty complete it does have the engine harness which is something we really need alright so after further inspection we find out that this is the wrong transmission this is the gyro our motor so the transmission isn't going to work with his mouse neither is this cable stay right here so we've got to contact him and we also looked over here this mountain is different you that bracket there isn't the same the one that he meets these two are level where these are staggered so that's a contact and then let him know about this but he suffers it kind of throws our timeframe off because we've got like a time slot allowed for this and that would wait for this motor and stuff is wrong so not to contact him given the bad news and probably change our policy again another positive change all right so now we're debating we're trying to find a transmission the transmission is completely different and the shift mechanism is different too so it would need either a complete shifter box different cable the cable stays and apparently you're supposed to shift the change the shifter selector from one RSX in a transmission and then of course you need all-new mouth so kind of sucks it closes at a standstill and this is one the reasons over the years and had a couple of times I've kind of said okay we'll do it why we don't want to have a customer supply their old parts because if this happens now we're going through like several parties of contact the customer the customer context apart that they get it from we're sitting here twiddling our thumbs and we need to get this done because we have other cars to do we're booked out until the end of the year and everything is is set you know everything has got a partition window for the work to be done and everything is ordered and ready in place I'm told we let the customer do it and it sucks because it's not his fault he ordered the parts from Saudi Al somebody else put the package together it's supposed to fit so while we are debating what we're gonna do we are enjoying another scar press copy again thanks for the gift cards that you guys send us it really is appreciated and it really does help ponder cruft before drinking our coffee I've enjoyed my whole coffee already he's doesn't come with a solution so it's not helping George at all from that actually escamole solution we're just went to get the okay are the AR day as the safe yeah so I'll take it back it has offered a solution is help Georgia a lot there I've loved someone a voicemail yeah so now now we stand and we watch the ice milk well we watch the pain get shiny ER or duller you see how bad things again George's watch him paint dry and he's banging his head against the type-r it's that bad you see what happens keep us busy guys don't make us stand around George is losing it we're watching paint dry I got there's nothing on them so the mounts have changed for the radiator they're welded on if he saw the weld that was on it did you save a piece of well fire sure the look put some ponder bond on it put it back on be good as new you could glue that well to make something just as strong as can be and I didn't cut it I mean I cut it a little bit to cut it off the thing but you can see this is where it was supposed to be welded to the body it was more anything with wasn't this one here wasn't a welded it was a tiered yeah is that the right term something like that so I just called Austin by the way and I said hey he wanted a piece of titanium for some kind of project is doing some motorcycle thing and I said hey I got a piece of titanium here with your name on it does that look like that so yeah once in a while rather than throwing things in the big ginormous recycle bin known as the dumpster we give you chance to own it for free so come and get it if you see it by the time you see this video is already gone so if you watch our Facebook and my camera is getting wet all right so this is about as far as we can go because there is no no option for transmission yet we're still waiting nobody wants to take responsibility for the boo-boo and we're kind of stuck in the middle and as you hear it's raining outside so the radiator is mounted and now has that nice cool little titanium bracket just a little bit special that might end up getting moved we don't know it might be the right spot but right now we are kind of stuck so we're gonna push this aside and luckily we have another car that was shipped from out of state and it came early so we're gonna use the time that we have to start on that one and then maybe use his slot for this car if we can finish it but right now we're gonna pause at the yellow one right here all right so the update is he said go ahead and get a transmission the engine is out right now so tae to the rescue I called them they have an RS X Type S transmission so we're going to put that transmission and then at a later date he's going to come up with a solution for an LSD or take the guts out of this one whatever the options are so I'm gonna go run to plant city that's where tae is now George is gonna pull that transmission off and I'm going to come back the transmission will put the transmission on there check for a clutch if it needs a clutch we do have a clutch in stock we'll put a brand new clutch in there that way it doesn't have to take it apart because of a clutch because who knows it might change in six months it might be a couple of years till he comes up with a transmission option or whichever direction he goes so I'm gonna go drive to plan city so I was kind of concerned about the clutch and it doesn't look real good so you see right here it's almost down to the rivets in fact it almost is exactly on the rivet so I was kind of anticipating pulling the transmission off anyway so good news is we keep clutch masters in stock so we put a clutch masters FX 300 it's gonna be close to stock but it's gonna handle a little bit more power if needed so I just returned from tae they actually move to a new location they're in a much much larger location so it took me longer to get there but this is the RSX transmission this is the gyro our transmission so the way Ashley attaches as you see this mounting area here see first off this just has the two bolts here whereas the RSX shares everything with the k20a JDM it has the three points here which is the right one for our mount also the rear mount attaches to this you see this ear here and then if I spin this it has the two bolt holes here well it's actually let me go get it I'll show you so first off I want to say I do read the comments and a lot of people have said hey I really appreciate you sharing the tips and some of the little insight and some of the extra little things that we do so we kind of feed off that so you say hey I really appreciate Mason if you want to do it more right so it's like it's going to see a band and you cheer the band gets better there's a same kind of thing so okay back to my story before I start going off on a tangent this is the bracket right here these two ears that are facing away from me with the two holes that attaches to the mount and this area here you see it has this piece this is Walpole's to the transmission so on the RSX if I could hold this it will bolt I'm trying to do is one-handed it bolts like that see the ear up here and the two holes well here is the euro our transmission first off you see around the diff housing it's completely different there's no where this is gonna bolt it has different mounts it has two bolt holes here and I'm assuming there is another attachment point somewhere it's probably gonna have another spot I don't feel it but anyway that's a bag mount so it's completely different hey let's build a mount to use his transmission but it's not just that it's these are the cable stays the cables go through here and this is what is you know changing the gear well they are different you see there's a quick glance first off these are different these are a big thick piece the cable attached is different but you see these two points here this here is on the opposite side up here see this piece here your forward and back here selector between do it one-handed without transmission moving this is on the left and this is on the right see here so it's not even close but I have to custom change and make everything so hence the whole transmission and this is a good transmission so as well as the clutch being worn out this is the release bearing and it is seized up it doesn't spin and you can see this material here it's just falling apart this is the plastic and it's from the greased and someone's been operating the clutch is just warm the release parent but again good idea to always take the transmission off and inspect now we have the new brand new Nietzsche release bearing in there everything is cleaned and greased the clutch masters clutches on the flywheel is surfaced we can put this thing back together alright so transmission is on its back together and engine mount just one quick note here one of my pet peeves is this big long stud now a lot of this is just for assembly at the factory this is easy to locate hence it has a point when the engines put it in the factory the car comes along the engine comes from the bottom this helps locate it it goes in a hole there is another one - zip zip it makes it much faster but when you put it together when your engine mounts it's here and you see this big ginormous stuff sticking up here it just looks kind of ugly so go ahead and take that out and then when your mount goes on here you have two matching bowls it looks much cleaner looks like you've put a little bit more thought into it so go ahead take that guy out alright so the engine is ready to go in and we thought we would start moving along now and everything will be smooth and everything will be cool and happy but it turns out we're running to two more issues so hopefully you are learning from our our encounters here it's the first time we've dealt with one of these gyro arm motors which if you don't know this is essentially an accord Type R motor I guess from Japan which is like our TSX here that is called an accord there that this engine goes in that car well obviously the transmission is different I showed you that as a few little other things engine mount here turns out the intermedia shaft is completely different as well as the wiring harness let me show you those items real quick so I didn't think about it because I didn't do one side by side but when I put the transmission back on I put this in a media shaft on and I mean I don't do a ton of K motors but I've done enough where I know something looks right or you know it doesn't quite feel right but you know you can't quite put your finger in well it fits back in there but this point here I want to get another any MIDI a shap and show you side by side but this is wrong it should be about here this should be shorter I'm gonna show you it when I get the correct an immediate shaft also known as a jack shaft so this is the engine harness this all looks correct through here until you get to the ECU plugs this these two are the correct looking plugs this one is completely different this should be the 101 plug which is that plug this about this wide and now you're seeing this you'll notice it in other videos when people are doing these this is a big gray connector and that's what the swap adapter goes to so not only is this plug wrong the wire pin outs and these are wrong this is essentially like an O 506 and the time it's gonna take for us to repin this find this plug repin that and then who knows what else is different we're just gonna go ahead and get us our SX harness also this will be longer the position of this here this would have a hard time going through the firewall so essentially the RSX harness will fit better and give us more room so that means I'm driving I went back to plant city again to tae used auto parts so those guys of being awesome I've called them and said hey can you pull these parts he said yeah no problems let me go get them pulled for you head on up so keep those guys in mind talk to Jamie tae used all our parts guys I appreciate it again I'm on my way all right so it's several hours later or it feels like that I drove all the way there in massive monsoon storm all the way there I do have the amount another amount I have to get what I went for it's been so long ago the drive there sucked I mean you know when you down to 30 miles an hour where no one else can see in you Cassie and then the Florida drivers put their hazard lights on which often they call on the rain lights anyway I returned I have the harness in the shaft and I also came with lunch because it is lunch bhai's boss boss day all right there's a side-by-side comparison this was the one that came on the motor and then this is the one we actually need so now we can put that on as you see the length different it's quite a bit all right so we want to tell you everything is going really smooth you ever watch our videos and think to yourself why does it go so easy for those guys everything is there everything plugs in everything fits why it's because we've worked very hard ahead of the time to make that happen so this time these are the two hoses that came well first off that radiator isn't gonna fit how many the radiator fits but look where that is where's that gonna go same place does that go so I choose which one do you want to use well after examination this is a lower hose if you buy these guys swapped radiator k tune if you buy their radiator that fits and then there's big hose here would have gone and you put the radiator over there I guess so anyway long story these don't work so we're back to figuring stuff out so this is a learning lesson a lesson we're learning because we're going to make changes so we're gonna have to kind of do some tweak into this radiator to make it work and George is working on these little guys right here so yes sometimes it doesn't always go smooth for the guys LHD sometimes it's actually quite annoying so this car is all about conquer and overcome it's also about trying to figure out how to make your radiator hoses fit without spending a ton of time and a ton of money on your car and this is Doug from craft works by the way Doug thanks for your help you're doing a good job over there and he's also a text to me also now we have low Ho's done I just see it's got a joiner in there and it's a one millimeter thick piece of titanium courtesy of Tyco on industries a reason we use the thin material so it doesn't cause a restriction if your material is too thick you're essentially taking inside diameter and reducing it it's that time again touching me the wire harness work make it fit make it round the way we want it and adjust the length of each pigtail so it meets the sensor and everything sits nice and then once it's done loom it tape it make it look pretty all right wiring harness is done and prepped and taped all the ends of being changed so that it fits and routes properly all the lengths and the plugs are put in the correct position so hopefully this is just installed and we should be good all right so we should be able to start it up we just double-checked everything making all the fluid is good and everything is tight the clutch didn't work properly and it sucked it didn't put a master cylinder in there the clutch had absolutely no movement at all you could tell it what he came in with something wrong with it but now we have a brand new clutch and it still felt terrible yeah so just replace that let the system georgia's actually working on the intake right now but we can go ahead and start the engine and just kind of verify everything works really alright so the shifter is in I've already uploaded a map see just put the datalogger on it and just double-check make sure we have no codes all right I said it you ready [Music] just try it again [Music] miss Byron here it probably a steady ginger no-tax thing [Music] I'll be a stuck injector probably yeah so it turned out to be a bad boil which took all the injectors out tested them we're clean the books that are already checked squeeze the coils from this fire went with the coil so [Music] motor sound good it's got a bleed out all the cool visit president piece of paint so we talked about policy change the new policy is we supply everything everything because we've fixed some of the issues on the car we have three issues right now we have crank signal is not working either the sensor is wrong or is bad attack doesn't work so it's probably in the wiring and the speedo doesn't work well we know the sensor is right so we don't know if it's in the wiring or it is something else we tried check-in Oh for sensor and oh five for the RSX ones a counter rotation we checked both of those and it doesn't work it sucks because we can't dyno it without those things working so we have three problems to fix what sucks is we usually like to get everything done ahead of time so that if we have issues we have time at the end to fix it well this car through that completely out of whack because with that issue since day one and he's pushed us so far back just to give you an idea on this we fund five days for this typically the car be running day three would they finish you know making sure there's good Dino and did four double check everything day five drive it make sure it's happy breaking the clutch drive it a little bit more double-check it and the problem is is when everything pushes you further back now we're down to the wire where we're going to get a sensor it's late Thursday night when we're gonna get a sensor at this time nobody's gonna have what it's talk so if it needs a sensor one would do now it pushes into the next car which I don't like I like everything finished on time not just for us and the customer for the next job the next job is already popped in it's already here at the other shop waiting and it's not a big job but we like to be ahead of the game if you guys could just pop that motor in Dino yeah and we should be good but we can't because so it's kind of frustrating it's funny but it's frustrating so what do you do you learn from your mistakes if you repeat the same mistakes again well that's on you we're not going to repeat this mistake felt like I was just filming you doing this was it the sin fight hey you guys bring it back polish it again alright so this is gonna be the cold air intake but the Integra I'll show you it real quick see this part in the right hand side right here where it kicks up get going and show you what that is about so the intake is going this orientation right here but let's do a quick install see and get an idea well that little turndown this goes right here goes like this and the idea is to turn up so we get the filter as high up in that cavity as we can it's actually close to about this height obviously you worried about standing water if that intake is down here and you run into standing water you submerge the filter you pull water in hydraulic the motor or you ruin the motor so we're trying to get a cold air benefit as well as as safe as we can so hence by pulling the filter up high you're getting kind of like a cross between the two gonna hold it out okay see how much that kicks up as opposed to the filter being here it gives us about another 4 or 5 inches of clearance which this car have cause people don't drive and stand in water anymore or at least I hope they don't I always tell people my word of advice if you see stand in water if it's anything more than about 2 or 3 inches deep turn around go the other way or better yet pull into the most expensive restaurant you can find eat everything on the menu tip the guy a hundred and fifty bucks you're still ahead of the game as opposed to Hydra locking your motor and spending their next few weeks getting your car taken care of so a little crude advice but just look at the the cost so crank signaling things no arrests probably we've still got Noatak we're still trying to figure that out I don't think there's a problem in the conversion harness or what it is that's something that we're still trying to address so I just altered another one of these to replace George's cuz he had to rub it out of his car late last night so we could finish this car and get it running this little guy is over $100 a Zomba lievable I thought that was gonna be a $35 sensor so that sucks there's another reason not to buy the urahara motor make sure you buy the Integra Type R k 28 so you remember earlier in the video we showed you some of them look nuts that he had were the wrong ones not a good idea you see these are from mag wheels this piece here if I get the camera to focus on that that usually slides Ashley in the wheel and then this Ashley is pushing against the wheel they don't use this style very often this is just a an oddball for the Honda world so luckily we saved a bag of Honda nuts which I can undo with one hand evidently but these are Factory on the ones so we're going to go ahead and give in these and that way you know a little bit safer than the ones they had we'll bring that to his attention that's it quite cool today guys quite cold chaps I'm surprised you have a scarf and a hat on because you're so sensitive to temperature change all right so we're on the dyno we're strapped down compressors making a funny whistling sound but it's all good we've got a break in the clouds we've got our own unique way of break into the clubs and unfortunately I can't share it with you because I don't want to be on record and that's now the industry standard and then if somebody says it doesn't work you know the deal that's in the exhaust that's okay but it doesn't look good they all thought it was bats on hope it is residual cancer murder so we'll run it a little bit safe now so we've done a bunch of driving on the dyno just run off to run up to run and evacuate the shower for the smoke but I think it was residual that was in the exhaust because the murder sales held the cells healthy there's no issues and vacuums really high so I doubt there is an issue with the engine go to a couple light throttle runs and if everything looks good we'll just full throttle full mast aren't unity [Music] so we can't get enough fuel in the car we let off early we had to fuel through the injectors it cannot keep up so it's gonna need a fuel pump it's like hit to keep giving this guy bad news but we would have done larger injectors it's not the RSX sorry the euro our injectors which are probably three tens and the car is already hitting two hundred and run out of fuels or up to let the run off early and the good news is we're only running one ECU we haven't plugged in the second ECU and once we get that second ECU in and we found out what all these bunk connectors do this thing should really scream definitely somebody's been in there huh yeah that's not Factory the pump might be I don't see any definitive marking on it but Honda usually doesn't put them in with a band clamp no no I knew more maybe the very first one that the put in yeah but now they use like a real nice rubber isolator down here isn't there yeah surprises me I don't thought this card are being put together really well this'll probably drip on my feet if you hit put on my pants it'll drip and drip it on your shoe okay kind of like that see the nice little clip that's used to be their focus this stupid camera yeah nice little clip the thumb to supply you that's not necessary we had a hammer you just hammer it over you peen that over don't it Wow it's like everything we see on this thing so we need one of those clips we need a rubber isolator we'll put our larger pump in there just give you an idea of size-wise this is comparative for the OEM Integra pump and the GS s 342 so back together at the wall bra pump with the rubber isolator under that we have the proper clip got off the pump doesn't need a bend around there hose clamp in it no it's actually Isolators there's a gap between the pump and the bracket here that takes a lot of that noise this is actually isolated for a reason it should be just attached here and on these feet here [Music] tune into now we've got it where it's making maximum power is not making anymore let the cam angle in time and it's pretty much plateau but it's got a little wonky bit in the middle it's right over VTEC changeover and right as the kids can tangle so we kind of blended that out biggest weekend all right final numbers 2 16 147 it's pretty cool down at a sigh 82 degrees everything looks good this was the air/fuel I was playing with it would go a little bit lean here and a little bit rich here so playing with the beat a change over the camp angle an air-fuel we're trying to keep it you know again a speed density so you're not going to get it absolutely crisp you know 12.3 like on a map but it's down close and the motor sounds really good the spoken to stop so that must have been residual oil in the tailpipe alright so we're gonna go over everything double check it oh look at that we had that pulled away from there and it got in the that would have sucked I just checked it a second ago and it was alright yeah sorry to touch so we're cleaning it up double-check everything make sure everything is happy and we're still got to adjust the the speedo problem and then we're good to go okay so on this Integra even after putting a new master cylinder in and a new clutch it's got that much play before anything happens let me show you this is something I've seen a lot so in the notice let me climb under here see if I get my big head in here so where are we there can you see see the pedal he's moving that much and the master isn't moving anything that clipped is in there by the way I took it out and I'll just put it back temporarily so it would stay inside could do this demonstration I'm also standing on my head but basically see how loose that is well there is a collar in there like a bushing that falls out a sight people don't notice it let me just take it apart I'm going to show you real quick all right so first off this is the part number you need this is a little plastic bushing it's such the tiniest little piece and it makes a world of difference let me show you it all right so this is the bushing and what it does is it slides in that pedal most the time it stays in the panel but if you push the pin in on a slight wrong angle this falls out again most people are just oblivious to this little piece of plastic they pick it up throw it away and it has a whole bunch of slop well think of the outside of this is the size of the pedal so this is the pin you see is all worn out of that side I mean if this was a bearing and the motor the thing I've been knocking like crazy so between that looseness and not having a bushing the pedal has all that place I want to go find another pin because this is no good but this fits in here and it would usually be fairly snug but because that pin is wore the bushing is still a little sloppy let me go find a pin I'll put it back together and show you all right so I just found another pen it's got some black marks on it but it's it's smooth it doesn't have where but now when that bushing goes on there it's nice and tight so this is gonna make a huge difference this is one of those things this is like a three dollar part but when you feel the difference when this is in there it's worth every penny in fact it's worth 10 times that ever I'm car and you press the pedal it's got a click or a funny you know funny feel to it it just kind of gives you that feeling the car is kind of wore out and old and yucky feeling when everything's tight precise makes such the difference let's go ahead and pull this in and we're gonna lay under there with a camera but I'll show you what it looks like when it's done real quick don't forget to put your magic grease on there when you're done you guys know how to pronounce this by now which is good because I don't don't forget this okay it's answer no it pushes a full clutch now that that's the movement in FreePlay which we've talked about that before to have your clutch adjusted correctly it needs to have 20 millimeters of FreePlay before it actually applies pressure to the release bearing if not you prematurely wear out that release bearing but now it's smooth look at that such a difference and such a cheap little part don't neglect that little part it'll make all the difference all right so we've been kind of postponed waiting for this box the transmission that we put in this car is a 2005 RS X Type S and the speed signal is quite a bit different well fortunately k tuned make this little box it's a little conversion box you wire in and he changes the signal for a different frequencies so it will operate and the speedo will work good thing about the O 506 RS x transmission the gearing is a little bit better so it is an upgrade from a no.4 but it just sucks that you're gonna have to get one of these so look around you can pick these up I think they're about a hundred and fifty bucks again search around my phantom cheaper but plug as a little harness you program it you tell you what you want it to do you wire it in and your speedo is now have taken care of hopefully i'll report back and let you know so this hybrid racing shifter I told you that I would talk about it and let you know what I think the good part is the installation is pretty nice is it takes minimal amount of cutting to put this and he's almost on ball ten it pulls into the two factory bolts that the b-series shift of bolted to and you drill to under here but of course as you see the plastic all goes back and you've got the rubber boot but it is very noisy in my opinion is very clicky very metallic II I mean it's precise this is the cables and shifter box as a combo so it does take a lot of that slop out of it this actually as you see it's adjustable this can actually come up which will make your throws a little bit longer by raising this but again that's just my opinion I like the factory RSX box and even better the lot of the ones that you see us do we put the Buddy Club box it's just the factory box designed just a little bit more adjustable better okay I'm not gonna say anything bad about it because it does work it does have pretty precise it's just a little hard little bit hard to operate which over time if you're stuck in traffic and using it as a daily driver this might get a little bit on your nerves so I've got my end of the video glasses on these are my Honda glasses I love these things what we learned from that car is policy change over the years I've never liked to build using customers parts because they don't do this all the time they bar them by the parts of the engines from a different sauce I want to supply the parts I want to supply the engine that way if I mess up it's on me I will pay to overnight things I will drive across the state I will drive to plan city twice in two days I'm not complaining about it because it's on me that's the way we're gonna make sure from now on we don't want this we got the wrong part this vendor doesn't want to change it the vendor said it's fine we're the outcome was great the car drives fantastic the customers give us some feedback he loves it but there's a lot of chaos in the beginning a lot of stressful parts there so hopefully I didn't sound like I was crying too much on the video but we still enjoy the stuff we just enjoy a whole lot more if we're in control of the parts and the pieces that go on it so thanks for watching and we'll see you on the next video i'm john from lht this is lht performance we'll see you in the next video and don't forget enjoy your cars thanks for watching guys
