well it's a I am really looking forward to this conference with Randy this is huge for the valley for the region for California for I mean it's just it's just amazing to have a man like Randy here and honor the leadership of this church for just inviting Randy and and wanting him to be a part of release what he's carrying this man carry is an amazing impartation and I don't know most of you probably don't know our story a lot of new faces here which is wonderful my wife Janet and I went to Randy's school and we weren't walking in any miracles any healing you know I pay for people and they die that's my background as far as the healing ministry okay but that's not the case anymore the Randy Kari is an amazing impartation to release of the Spirit of God and get at people activated in healing and their and their calling and their anointing so if you can make it all make it all you can register at global awakening com Randy will be here personally this time we've had we've had several global awakening events we've had Paul martini remember Paul and Paul's coming again yeah and oh man I'm gonna be with Paul next week we're doing a stirring conference with Richie Seltzer and Paul and I and it's gonna be wonderful if you could make it to Fresno that was that's starting this Thursday in Fresno should be it should be an amazing time but this is what really got us activated John and I are so thankful for Randi and global this man is just he just says like a coin in your pocket Lord spend me and God sends him all over the world and I mean he used to travel 250 265 days a year just ministering goes to Brazil a lot and you will be on the fast track to walking in a greater level of the anointing and a love and power of God by attending this conference it's that life changing my wife and I have never been the same and Randy wrote an amazing book called there is more and in this book he highlights all the people that have been touched at the meetings in how they were kind of a flop beforehand he tells the story of Heidi Baker and Roland Baker how they were just a flop beforehand and then they came and they blasted and now they've led over a million people to the Lord I'm Samantha a headland who's led over a million Muslims to the Lord just amazing before and after stories just life-changing things so you won't want to miss it if you can't make the whole conference you can come for the evening sessions and that's free you don't have to register for that but hopefully you have enough advance notice to get off of work and and request some time off because it's gonna be absolutely life-changing and Bishop Garlington is going to be here who's an amazing man of God Tom Jones is gonna be here not the not unusual guy but the the he's Randy's right-hand man Randy Clark's right-hand man basically and how many of you hear when Tom Jones was here I guess it was last year only a few of you oh my goodness okay Wow that's awesome so good well it's a great honor to be able to speak the first message of 2018 I was really praying Lord what would you what would you have what would you like to release to the body of Christ here for the first word of 2018 and I believe you highlighted eight areas that I'm to share with you this morning and usually get a four point sermon you get eight this morning so it's it's the year of the double but I've got about three minutes to share on each area so each of these areas could be you could there a message in and of themselves but I'm just gonna touch on them briefly because this is an overview of what the Lord wants to do in this region how he wants to establish his church his presence and what he wants to do in this area in 2018 what he wants to do at JPL Church and other churches JPL is not the only Church right we work together with other churches in this area to establish the kingdom of God in this area and this is also for you as individuals and families the church can't be established if you yourself as individuals are not walking into it as well so apply what I'm saying this morning to your own life then bring it into the body of Christ to add to that and then the region will be transformed this is the way it works total transformation that's what God one he's not just a God of restoration as good as restoration is restorations getting back something that it was stolen when you restore a house you take it it was nice to begin with it gets junky and then you restore it to the way it was okay that's good but God goes above and beyond restoration into transformation he makes it better than it was before it takes it above and beyond all we can ask or imagine so it's about transformation so the first thing I want to mention is what God wants to establish as a house of his presence we have to get this first I like the songs that just focus on him and his presence it has to be about him it's Jesus Jesus Jesus we've got to look at him and we've got to focus our eyes on him look up you know the Lord said to Abraham to look at look look at the stars in the sky in other words look up get a different perspective on things than just your ground level in your own experience you need to have my perspective on life and on things and start to see things the way I see them the psalmist writes until you I lift up my eyes o you who dwell in the heavens he says I will lift up my eyes to the hills from where does my help come from we there is no point in establish we have to establish the vertical first otherwise we can't be a blessing to one another on the horizontal levels my wife and I were we visited a church years ago in Columbus and they were all about community community all horizontal level and the thing just completely fell apart because without God establishing it this is not going to ever work this is why communal living is a flop you don't have God in the center of it and establish that first it's how people get weird and Colts get established because it's this horizontal level of stuff I love what Moses says you know this you know he gets he receives the he talks to God face-to-face and he says this he says in Genesis 15 he brought him out science said no I'm sorry this is the Exodus 33 passage he said him if your presence does not go with us do not bring us up from here now if you're not with me god if I don't have this establish forget it it's got to be this it's got to be you Moses figured out its or nothing I've lift my eyes up we have got to focus on him it's all about him it's all about his presence it's all about being established vertically let's get that first to seek the kingdom of God first then all these things will be given to us as well we need to see him directly I love it the Apostle John got it right he just was with Jesus when all the other disciples fled it was that it was John see that's a good name John it was John that was there he rested his head on Jesus he realized the most important thing was to be with Jesus it's like the Mary Martha story better to be with Mary chose better than Martha didn't she because she was with him Martha's horizontal Mary is vertical we need to establish this for God's presence to rest on us the second thing it once the God wants to establishes us to be a house of praise to enter into high praise and glory remember we saw some 100 says we enter his gates with Thanksgiving and his courts with praise this is what we established it and when you get in God's presence you just praise him for who he is you know he is God and you are not amen okay and we need to give him glory for who he is now your Christ in you which is wonderful that's the new creation I'm Christ in John your Christ in whoever your name is but that's different than God okay that's not the same as God we're sons of God but we're not God he is holy and he shall not share his glory with another there is a level of non-communicative glory that the father has that we need to be in awe of we need the worship we need to praise him for who he is and and we make no apologies to the world for that he's God and and we're gonna seek him with all of our heart and give him glory and honor and fear him I can't tell you how many verses there is in the Bible about the fear of the Lord praise and fear go together when you start praising him you enter into the aw of God and there's a reverential fear of him that comes over you he's not heavenly mother he is Heavenly Father okay God is a father okay okay let's just establish that okay let's listen let's revere him for that now Holy Spirit that's okay there's this dude but I'm talking about the father here father we need to honor him respect him and enter into his presence this is for I the Lord I do not change Jesus changed sometimes he's a lion sometimes he's a lamb the father does not change okay anyone who tells you they got the hole they went in the father's presence and looked into his eyes forget it you don't look at the father okay there's a great fear he is so amazing that there's a there's a cloud of glory that guards people from being able to look at him just let that rest on you for a minute the reality of who he is and let that obvious stablish and let's enter into high praise and worship and give him glory there's one path Jesus that's it I'm not gonna make any apology as Jesus said I am the way the truth life nobody comes to the Father nobody except through me you know this whole inclusive business out there in the world oh there's many paths to the truth you can get to you that's good you do your thing and you know that's just not truth okay we just we need to be established in truth and we make no apologies for truth you don't be politically correct with the truth you speak the truth in love but you speak the truth nonetheless but it has to be in love amen okay I love the songs that just give God glory a mighty fortress is our God I love those songs that just magnify him and his name a mighty fortress crowned him with many crowns and oh I was at a meeting harvest over 20 years ago there was over 200 men just singing and it was just so powerful to the glory of God it was just it was it was absolutely amazing the name of the Lord is a strong tower the righteous run into it and they're safe let's give him glory for being a strong tower the third thing I saw as a house of prayer the Lord said in Isaiah my house shall be a house of prayer for the nations just to establish prayer to enter his presence to enter the secret place and to give him glory and to know the word to study the word when were in his presence were in the presence of the Living Word and God gives illumination into the scripture as we write it this is JPL Bible Church we are established in the word it is so important to know the word if you don't know the word your easy pickings for the enemy you know that the devil knows the word and when Jesus was tempted this is very interesting to me he says to him he takes him to the pinnacle of the temple and he quotes scripture the devil does from Psalm 91 he shall give his angels charge over you and in their hands they shall bear you up lest you dash your foot against a stone so he's quoting school he's being biblical quoting scripture to Jesus so you know the devil will try to throw scripture out of context at you and so will the world they will try to give you the word but twist it not right not complete unbalanced so Jesus says back to the devil he didn't say that word is not correct but he did say this it has written again everybody say written again you shall not tempt the Lord your God and he quotes Deuteronomy 616 he quotes a counterbalance scripture that brings a more complete message in reality of the word this is how many churches get in trouble you're here the church is just you know I could I could take I could take certain verses and make God seem like a really bad guy or I could take verses and make him seem like only he only does this he's only good he's only loved uh you see but a balanced teaching is he's a God of love but he's also a God of justice therefore there's justice on the other side and there's also wrath there has to be a balance and Jesus understands the totality of Scripture because he's the Living Word we need to know the word this well so that we are established so that we're not led astray by this win and this doctrine tossed about to and fro God wants to establish his as a house of prayer for the nation's and therefore we need to be correct in the Word of God and have that established study the word get into the word read the word treasure the word asks for the Holy Spirit to illuminate the word and make sure what you're hearing from him lines up it always lines up God will not contradict his word it's really the misapplication of the word has caused a lot of trouble that's how the enemy operates it tries to miss apply truth and that's a lot of the mess that churches get in and people get in this is why the kingdom doesn't come to people because it's an incomplete word many times people just be crazy scream scream scream scream scream screams grace there was this move of great still going on oh it's just grace it's just grace it's just it's not just grace it's grace but it's not just grace it is written again or another translation says it is also written you need to know what the also written is don't just believe what is written believe what is also written because if you don't know they're also written you might believe what is written and miss what is also written which is your boundaries and what keeps you established in the Lord does that make sense oh my good I knew I had a good crowd here today so spend time in his presence in the secret place close the door the Bible says close the door I love this tell your neighbor close the door all right says we go into your room shut the door pray to your father in the secret place and your father who sees in secret will reward you openly my kids know when my door is closed in the morning there and not to even knock on that door said somebody better be dying if they know if somebody knocks on that door I am NOT gonna get bothered while I'm in the secret place with my god in the morning I just get my espresso and get to my room and I stayed there for a little while you know that's the way it is you go into the secret place establish that if every believer would do that get into praise first seek his presence get into prays pray in the secret place you begin to hear his voice you need to hear God directly yourself men will be taught of God it says instructed of God don't expect somebody to hear God for you hear God for yourself in 2018 that's good goal isn't it hey we could do that right okay okay number four a house of boldness there needs to be a boldness I love what Ritchie brought the other day just about boldness and entering in and and he tells people boldly about the kingdom of God because he knows its truth and he's walking it you don't want anybody to miss out on it but like David I love that David charges forward toward Goliath good why it's nothing but a big trash talker and and David is is a truth seeker and he actually says in the Bible that David ran at him he did not shrink back from Goliath he actually ran at him and I love Esther is such an amazing woman of God she enters into the King's presence when she knows it could cost her her life when my favorite quotes in the Bible is when Esther says and if I perish I perish but I'm gonna do this anyways there was just a great boldness on that lady I was a great respect and honor for that lady Ephesians 6 the armour of God you know it talks about front side not the back side breastplate of righteousness doesn't say your back will be covered with this or that because because we're supposed to be moving forward okay that's right okay saying 2018 is a time to play offense with your life not defense okay you can play some defense but don't just play defense you need to play offense you need to move forward in the kingdom of God and establish that be offensive the devil let let the devil be on his heels rather than you be on your heels from what he's doing let him be afraid of what you're doing instead of you being afraid of what he's doing in 2018 didn't that sound better because we've got the kingdom of God and the Holy Spirit the kingdom is within you the wicked flee when no one pursues but the righteous are bold as a lion there's a boldness coming upon us as a people I love that we need to be bold how are people gonna hear about the kingdom of God if we're not bold and proclaiming the truth to them there's got to be a boldness that rises up in us number 5 a house of healing it's to be a house of healing you know Jesus we know he went around and healed the sick wherever he went and it's a total body thing one of the words for healing is so so that means saved healed delivered you get the whole thing physically healed healed in your soul healed everywhere delivered so that you can go out and help other people get free as well and one of the words for another word for healing is therapure where we get the word therapist Jesus is the great therapist and a church should be a house of therapy because this is God's house and this should be a place where people come and are healed and are set free and are made whole where the power of God moves boldly and people are set free and it's by this power of the Spirit not by psychology there's too much psychology in the church we're made up of a spirit soul and body Spira the sole the word asuke was where we get the word psyche too much of the church has light been life coaching messages not here other places but it's been too much life coaching in psychological solutions rather than an encounter with god that changes somebody's life and breaks through the strongholds and bondages in their life you get psychology anywhere that's not the power of God God wants to show himself strong he has a mighty fortress we living from the inside out not the outside in it's a house of compassion number six we're here to be a house unshakable that's right pure a unshakable and unoffending offense will shut down praise and thanksgiving faster than anything if you get easily offended something is wrong with you you've probably got offended by that statement but it's true okay all right affecting the atmosphere wherever you go Jesus could have easily been offended at Nazareth that was a bad day mentioned your own relatives wanting to throw you off a cliff that's a bad day right but he wasn't offended at all I mean he said some choice nice choice words for them which I always appreciate about Jesus he doesn't hold back his words at all but he's not offended it's like it is what it is let's move on okay tell your neighbor sometimes you just gotta move on you gotta move on get delivered to be it we got to look outward as a body as as a church not inward we can't be inward focused we die if we get to inward focus we focus on him and then he focuses us outward then we can affect things horizontally we try to do a horizontal without this established it's just all yeah okay all right you know within six months to a year after somebody getting saved they should be completely delivered of demons they should be healed then they should be walking in the power of God okay this is a reality of the kingdom of God should be ten years into it Oh Oh Bonnie Jo she's just been giving me such a hard time and this has been going on for years and Sarah Mae and you know Billy Bob and we're in the south all of a sudden I guess but you know I could we got spirit-filled in the south so a lot of our stories are from there so someone gets healed then you come to your small group because you've been set free you but delivered you're experiencing the power of God you can release it on new comers that come in that don't have a clue yet [Music] but if you haven't been walking in that you've been a Christian for years and years you come in and you spew all your trouble out in the group you're just spewing garbage into the atmosphere these aren't care and share groups these are victory power groups that move in the power of God these small groups are victory groups these small groups are power groups this is where people come to encounter the power of God not share all their issues and their problems we got that one down way okay we got jesus wept and and confess your faults to one another we take those two verses and we build the church on that let's be more rounded and established better than that that's not what the church is just that it's not just about people crying every week let's get healed let's move forward let's get let's get set free let's get delivered so that people come in they're like Oh surely God is in your midst they get up they come to the small group they get a prophetic where they encounter God they say surely God is here and that what the Bible says what does it say you know pretend like they're your psychologist lie down and start unloading all your issues and problems now I understand trials and I understand trials that's biblical okay going through a trial is biblical but how many know there's a difference between going through a trial and you dealing with the same issues here after year after year okay that's not something you want to bring into your small group unless it's a new visitor that comes in and then you give them the victory in Jesus name okay shouldn't be dealing with the same stuff year after year after year after year that's not God get set free in 18 identify those areas of your life where you might be in this cycle of this it's real what it is repeated whippings of the enemy just you think you're getting one somewhere and then in your mind Shh they don't like you sure this actually puts it in the first person you know that whenever the devil talks to you you didn't say you're this he says I'm this so that's you think that you're talking to yourself that's how he does it you sneaky that way I'm no good oh they don't like me or or you know whatever I don't know he's full of trash talk so don't listen to him anyway but get free and get established you know sometimes people are victims stuff happens to people but they don't have to stay victimized their whole life that's the problem people are victimized I understand you could be a victim but if you're continually victimized by what happened then you haven't gotten over it and you haven't gotten free and you ain't gonna be able to help anybody else we were in a meeting years ago I won't tell you the city yeah but I do remember because this is hard to forget a story like this we're ministering real real late laid hands on a ton of people it was a glorious time God worked many miracles and healings in this service we prayed for a long time for peoples we're done we're ready to get up to our hotel room and just get to get to sleep if we can and we're walking out we're in this vegetable getting ready to go out in the car it's very cold outside but we're in this area that's indoors and then from behind and we got uh sure's in front of us and behind us somebody goes dr. Maloney dr. Maloney I need a word from you do you have a word for me the ushers are like he's you know he's just he needs to go to bed come back tomorrow she goes and he's just walking out and she says dr. Maloney I really need a word from you and then all of a sudden he just stops like this he turns around he looks at her straight in the eye and says it's over and she has kind of a like but definitely what do you mean it's over what do you what do you mean it's over he says he you know he does not know this woman none of us know this when we have no idea who she is okay and then the next thing he says is he left didn't they and then she went yes he says it's over he's not coming back move on and he walked out the door that was the word she wanted to word she got a word didn't have time to pastor that word very very very well but it was it was a direct word and it was what she needed to hear move on he ain't coming back things happen don't things something sometimes things happen don't they so we got to get over it and not take offense we need to be unshakable this is a church is not a place of life-coaching it's of a place of encountering God we're vertical relationships are established where people are trained to hear the voice of God directly and they're set free they're moving in the power of God and everywhere they go they bring the kingdom of God with them if we can get this I tell you this is a church unstoppable this is God this is what God desires for us yes Lord thank you lord people would come up to him and say he had a history when he was a baby dr. James was abused he was beaten by non family member but it was it was it was a terrible situation people come up to him and say well I can't how do you say get over it you know you don't know what I've been through and they don't know what he's been through he's saying listen you don't know what I've been through if I can get over this you can get over it do not deny the power of God and saying that you can't get over something when you've got the spirit of living God in you all right number seven it's a house of faith and rest one of my favorite passages in the Bible is Hebrews 4 I absolutely love Hebrews 4 because it's about rest and not doing things in our own strength in our own power in our own abilities for he who has entered this is Hebrews 4:10 he was entered his rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from his you enter into God's work with rest and you see striving in that nice I love that oh just the rest of God where it's not striving but it's resting in him who he is realizing he is who he says he is you are who he says you are let's just rest in that fact and see the power of God manifest wherever we go and you can only own arrest by faith because it says at the beginning of Hebrews 4 1 through 2 therefore since a promise remains of entering his rest let us fear lest any of you come short of it for indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them he's making an example here but the word which they heard did not profit them not being mixed with faith the word does not profit unless it is mixed with faith and faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God and it comes from the Holy Spirit that is within you which is why we must be tapped into the Holy Spirit which is why we established this vertical relationship with him first and foremost we seek the kingdom of God then that faith is deposit to each man and woman a measure of faith is given but a matter of tapping into the measure of faith that you've been given and walking in the measure of faith that you've been and when you do and that faith begins to open up in your spirit man and in your soul it begins to subdue your soul by the power of the Spirit you begin to walk in faith you enter into his rest this is why Jesus can say to the storm he's woken up he's like what are you guys fretting about peace be still he was at rest because he had faith you see how they work together isn't that beautiful let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience the Word of God is living and powerful it is living and powerful because he is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword piercing to the division of soul and spirit we must divide that which is soulish and that which is spirit in order to enter into his rest if you've got things that are soulish in your life they must come under the Dominion of the Holy Spirit and the kingdom of God to be subdued so that you identify that so you set aside that which is soulish and let it be under subdued by that which is of the Spirit it has to be the spirit it's the spirit or not oh nothing that's why Moses said if your presence doesn't go forget it if out if the Spirit of God is not moving into your life you cry out into a greater level until it is and I forgot to mention when I was doing the section on prayer it is vital that you pray in the spirit and pray in tongues you are easy picking for the enemy if you are not praying in tongues it's good to pray in tongues it is scriptural I don't have time to review a whole message on tongues but it is in the word and again this is where you need a totality of the word just like you can apply healing as well jesus said these signs shall follow those who believe they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover in mark 16 then you read later in Corinthians some have a gift of healing duh and it's easy to say well I don't have the gift of healing therefore people won't get healed when I pray for them but that contradicts Jesus and you realize that Paul's talking about something different there's a gift in a special move of gift of healing is different than the fact that every believer can lay hands on the sick same with prophecy there is a gift of prophecy but Tesla says it all may prophesy - same with tongues there's a gift of tongues but there's also just praying in tongues and speaking tongues doesn't have to be tongues with an interpretation it's a private prayer language that's why we see we get talked out of the word because we just take one scripture from an epistle and we don't take the totality of what the Word of God is saying and this is how we miss out on things I'm not gonna pray for the sick I'm not gonna pray in tongues I don't have to give to tongues that's not scriptural that's not complete that's like what the devil did with Jesus he gave him an incomplete scriptural understanding to deceive him I need an amen or something okay you still alive okay this is a good word and I agree this is aren't these good things okay okay oh you're thinking about it okay thank you sister I needed some encouragement here okay the last thing is a house of fire and passion we have to bookmark it this way because it starts with presence the presence is the fire he is a consuming fire yes but and but we keep that fire burning by staying in his presence that's why we have to book market presence and then fire and then everything in between and what we talked about those that are passionate laid down lovers when trials come it's easy to shrink back in fear but when you've got the power of God the fire of God in you you know I could run through a troop and leap over a wall are used to seeing that song there that fan into flames that what you've been giving not only stay lit but let that fire burn brighter and brighter and brighter you see people like Richie now God is just pouring them out all over the face of the earth and we need to prepare for Randy Clark coming because what Randy is going to release is the fire of God the presence of God and we need to nurture that receive it as desire him with all of our heart that the life of the Spirit would flood our souls and then let that fire burn so brightly in us that it changes us and transforms us so that we're never the same we should never be the same we shouldn't settle for a mediocre Christian life in 18 it's gotta be dynamic it's got to be a great expression of praise and and Thanksgiving and boldness and fire and power and healing and love unthinkable and full of glory this is what will bring people into the kingdom of God Paul told Timothy second to me therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands there's a stirring up he says for him to do it that you need to stir it up you keep the fire burning the fire is there why because you how many of you have the holy spirit you have the fire of God if you have the Holy Spirit okay God is amazing and preach the gospel I thank you Lord to keep that fire alive active burning in you wherever you go you'll see people get healed you'll get words of wisdom for people you're the Holy Spirit so you know there's gifts of this spirit I wasn't about as well are you real quick no I won't okay let's have the prayer team come up I need to land this plane all right
