good morning well we are going to get right into the word well that was loud all right all right well we have been ministering along the lines of the fact that you can be healed now everybody knows that here pretty much but we need it reinforced and uh this morning we're going to be ministering actually on i think technically this would be part three probably but um we're gonna look at ephesians chapter six this is probably one of the most um well yeah for people's healing it is one of the most important things for people that need to be healed to know uh other than of course healings in the atonement and things like that but this is where when we talk with people especially people that have been maybe sick for a long time are sick from various things and they've been to various people to pray for them different things have not happened and so they were upset when i say upset i don't mean they were mad or anything they were just you know as we would say at their wit's end so to speak and because they had tried everything they were told and still needed healing so the other day we were talking when i say we asked my staff and i and we were talking about this particular aspect because a lot of people don't know how to stand and we're going to talk about that this morning because there's so much in a person's life that because you know in in in the past uh people would say okay well you got to have enough faith for you to get healed and if you don't have enough faith you just keep coming keep listening until you get enough faith when you get enough faith then i'll pray for you and then you'll be healed and that's not biblical and that's what they had been taught and that's what they'd heard and so they didn't know how to really receive healing and how to stand once they had been ministered to and then we discovered in the word that we can actually believe for them that god made a promise to us that who we lay hands on they shall recover and that means every believer can lay hands on any sick person and the sick person shall recover matter of fact we're going to talk about some of that later on today even about the word recover and some of the aspects of it but this is one of the things that we have seen because and i did a teaching while back called when healing doesn't come quickly because that's probably one of the biggest questions that i get written into me emailed text whatever people say what about this or what happens you know if i go to pray for a person and it doesn't happen right away what happens and so we we ministered along those lines but today and as i said this is one of the things where we see most people fail to receive healing or at least let me put this away they don't fail to receive it they fail to keep it which is even more devastating and more you know heartbreaking for people because you know they can be healed and they'll come to a service like this and then we minister to them and they get healed and it's great and it's wonderful and then they get home and you know maybe sometimes maybe the next morning they wake up and the thing is back and we've heard that from time to time and so one of the things that i set my faith on is exactly what jesus told the boy when he cast the devil out or what he told the devil when he cast the devil out of the boy he said enter into him no more and so i started setting my faith so that when we minister healing to a person and they are healed that that thing doesn't come back to them because now we have told that thing that it cannot and we have seen results in that we've seen that we can actually go that far in it and then it's funny because we would have religious people that in every other area especially in the areas of healing and things like that they see great healings they see god do things and then they get mad at us because they're well that's you know that's going too far well that's called greater works they're going to you can't go too far as long as you're on the bible as long as you stand on the bible uh i may have gone too far according to your belief but that doesn't mean i've gone too far to jesus's belief amen because he said we're going to do the same works and greater so if you say we're going to do the same and greater that means the same and even of the type of same greater of the same right doesn't mean different things it means the same thing just bigger and better amen so i want to talk about how to stand today is having done all to stand to stand and know how to stand because people have to know how to stand because i'm not always there with you i can get you free but i can't keep you free in the sense that if the enemy tries to come back in and you agree with him in some way then he's going to come back in and jesus said you cast the devil out it's going to walk in the dry places and in a little while it's going to get tired and it's going to come back home and it's going to try to come back to you wherever it left and so you can bet on that you can just rely that jesus knew what he was talking about and know that once you get free the thing is going to try to come back but that does not mean we have to let it back amen so in ephesians chapter six so today we're talking about how to stand for your healing and how to keep it so how to stand having done all to stand stand right so ephesians chapter 6 verse 13 it says wherefore take unto you the whole armor of god not partial not part of it i don't know if you realize it or not they're entire denominations that are set on taking part of the whole armor of god because you're going to see part of it here in just a minute is the hell of salvation people get that and that's it we want salvation that means when i die i want to go to heaven that's it i'm not going any further and so people camped there well that's not what he said he said take the whole armor that means every piece of it right and then he says now notice he says so that you may be able to withstand in the evil day now notice he tells you to take the whole armor of god so that you can withstand in the evil day what does that mean that means an evil day is coming and that means that the enemy's going to try to attack he's going to try to do something to you but he said if you take the whole armor of god you will be able to withstand right that means the devil doesn't have to get an upper hand he doesn't have to get an advantage he doesn't have to get an opportunity amen he said that you can withstand in the evil day and that evil day is when the devil comes to try you because it's not god trying you amen he's not testing you the devil comes to try you he comes to see well let me see if i can get in this way and if that doesn't work he'll come back another way and go well what about this reminds me of the old those in my generation you remember the old show with uh was it don adams get smart remember the old guest smart and he would say something and then they would argue with him more than he said well would you believe this would you believe that and he'd go to the different things well that's what the devil does he'll come along and poke you in the side and go oh that hurts and he'll go would you believe it's cancer and you go well let's say no no nobody's in my family's ever had cancer so i don't think that's cancer well would you believe it's this and he would come up with some other thing and he'll keep backing down until you finally go well you know i did have a cousin that had that there we go and then you take it and so you have to realize that the evil day comes when the enemy comes to you and tries to convince you of something amen now he says here that you may be able to withstand in the evil day now watch this and having done all to stand now the next verse of course says stand therefore so he says having done all to stand stand amen do you see that and he says now watch this many people right here now let's just read again that you may be able to withstand what is that's two words to stand it means to withstand means to stand against something so he says here already three times right here he says having done all the or that you may be able to take the whole armor of god that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand stand three times he says stand so there's something to standing amen and now here's the thing many people are waiting it doesn't say wait it says stan do you understand that so when he says stand he doesn't mean wait now understand because if you're set in the waiting mode now i understand the bible says we're to wait on the lord and i get that that's not what he's talking about because everything that he has provided in the atonement and through his sacrifice we don't have to wait for it's already been paid for and it's us to receive and walk out it is that simple so it's not well yeah he died for your sicknesses he bore the stripes for your sicknesses by his raps you were healed and it's coming and it'll be here someday no by his stripes you were healed it's already come amen and you get to decide when you're going to believe that now but he says here and as i actually just wrote in my note there many are waiting but it doesn't say wait it says to stand so don't think in terms of standing as waiting well i'm standing what does that mean well i'm waiting for him to show up my heating no that's not what's going to happen you have to stand you have to receive your healing see all the bible has to work together and so you have to receive your healing believe it right and you receive it and you shall have it now in that period that's when you're standing amen now notice also that is the evil day why because that's as we always say that's the mean time the time in between is the mean time why because it's so mean because it's rough on you amen so he says in verse 14 this is the apostle paul of course writing to the ephesian church which was an amazing church they were the best church of the day right and he says stand therefore yeah now let me well i'm gonna have to back up he says take the whole armor of god that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand stand therefore notice you can't stand until having done all most people haven't done all and if you haven't done all you can't stand so first you have to do all to stand before you can stand does that make sense so how does he tell you you're going to withstand by taking the whole armor of god so part of having done all means taking the whole armor of god not pieces but the whole thing and if you look at the whole thing you'll see that he that that is preparation for you to be able to stand so let's read it he says stand therefore having your loins gerd about with truth now what he's describing has been likened to a roman soldier's armor and you can get the picture of it and we don't have a picture handy for you but you can look him up and you'll see that what he's talking about he says have your loins that's the the waste area gert about and gert means to be tight there have your loins gird about with truth that's the first thing he says truth not ideas not theologies not ideologies truth so the first part of the armor of god is finding the truth right not your denominational viewpoint not what church you've been to but what the bible says because thy word is truth john 17 tells us and he says here having your loins gird about with truth and so here's piece number two having on the breath breastplate of righteousness now that breastplate there's really two main pieces right all of them are important but there's two main pieces the first one he mentions here that is a main piece of course i mean you don't want to get stabbed or hurt anywhere obviously but your breastplate is one of the main pieces i'll tell you the two main pieces the breastplate and the helmet of salvation why because that protects your heart and your mind and so this these are the two most important now all of it but now notice he said take the whole arm of god so even though we got two most important you got to get all the other pieces too amen so he says have your loins gird about with truth so first you have to have truth and having on the breastplate of righteousness what does that mean that means that you know that you are the righteousness of god in christ that it is his righteousness that you're right with it's not your righteousness it's not what you've done to achieve it or attain it it is his righteousness that's your breastplate why because that's where the enemy is going to try to hit your heart he's going to try to convince you that you're not righteous he's going to try to convince you that you don't deserve to be healed that you don't deserve to be okay that you don't deserve the blessings of god why because remember last week you remember the other day you did something and you have to have the breastplate of righteousness which will protect your heart you have to have that on so that you can be protected and so that you can stand in the evil day this is vital if you do not understand that your righteousness is of christ and it's not yours in the sense that you did good then your righteousness will fall apart because as soon as you start relying on the your own righteousness the enemy will start pointing out every fault and you'll start shooting holes in your breastplate of unrighteousness right so you have to put on the breastplate of righteousness listen what what i'm talking about here and you're going to find this because what are we describing we're describing a soldier's armor paul told timothy be a good soldier of jesus christ endure hardness hardship we would even say endure hard times endure hardness when it comes as a good soldier what does that mean that means two things you soldier on you don't bellyache about it right you don't gripe you don't complain you don't murmur which guess what you don't do that in the military and you don't do it in christianity why in christianity and the military you just get in trouble in christianity the earth opens up and swallows you if you remember back in the old testament some people were murmuring and 50 000 people died that's not good amen so you don't want to murmur you don't want to complain you don't want to go on you want to be able to stand and that means to soldier on as i said and so there takes a grit for some reason people think that christianity is supposed to be oh it's just all nice everything's wonderful uh no you've decided to go against the flow and going against the flow is never easy never nice now here's how it can get easier that you get out of yourself and you take on his burden his yoke amen because his burden and yoke are not heavy they're not bad they are light and they are easy in that sense but only while you're in his strength if you try to do this in the power of human strength you're well what you're doing then you turn it from christianity to religion and then you make it hard because religion is always hard religion is always you're not good enough you'll never be good enough you can't do enough and it'll keep on driving you religion is a driver right and so we have to realize that but once you come to christ and you rest in him and you rest from your own works and you take on his works and his strength then you realize that whatever you face you face it in his power and when you face it in his power you know that there is enough power behind you to deal with that situation instantly amen this is where most people mess up they try to look at the problem through their own eyes rather than looking at it through the eyes of god whenever you can see a problem see it's amazing when you look at a problem you can see a big problem but when you get up about 30 000 feet and look down that problem don't look so bad well that's god's viewpoint and so you always have to look at it through god's viewpoint not yours amen because i can tell you when you're feeling the heat god ain't feeling the heat so get out of yourself get into him and recognize who is in you in the power of his strength right because that's who he tells you what or what he tells you to have power in is not in your own power but in the power of the lord and the power of his strength now this is a until you develop it this isn't that easy because you have to constantly remind yourself to quit striving and quit trying to push it through in yourself and to to relax and to rest in him now the thing is what i've learned is the more i rest in him the faster i move and the more i get done and the more people get healed and the more works i get accomplished but they're not my works they're his amen why because i have ceased from my works i have never healed a person in my life but i've watched jesus do a whole lot of it amen why because i don't rely on my own strength my own situation you know i'm a human uh got family got relatives got all kinds of things got all the same problems everybody else does with relatives and family right but when people stand in front of me and need help i can't focus on that i can't be their son they're well i don't have any brothers or sisters in the natural but i can't be their family i can't be their cousin i get in the past and they've kind of got past it now but in the old days you know the first 15 years i used to get complaints well how come curry's not coming to the family reunion because i'm preaching in the ukraine that's why and i'd rather be with them than with you i will admit there have been times when they said our fan reunion is coming up next september and i'm like schedule me quick schedule me somewhere out of the country i love my family at a distance anyway so [Laughter] anyway but you have to take on all these pieces of armor to be able to stand look at the next part in verse 15 and your feet so here's the next piece of the armor shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace now notice when it says the gospel of peace that is our peace with god jesus said his peace he live he leaves with us so we have his peace if we enter into his peace there are a lot of christians that never enter into the peace of jesus and but he said whenever jesus was born the angels were saying peace on earth good will towards men not good will amongst men good will from god toward men in other words god is saying look i'm for you i'm for you this is why i'm giving my son is because i'm for it this should be proof enough that i'm for you but a lot of people don't think of it that way but we have to realize that the gospel of peace is that we are at peace with god and if we are at peace with god then we don't have to worry about what god is going to do to us we can keep our minds focused on what god has done for us and what he's going to do for us and what he's going to do through us not worry about what he's done to us or what he's going to do to us amen well that's but yet now notice your feet have to be shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace what does that mean that means that you have to prepare and the preparation aspect is that you are learning that you are at peace with god believe it or not that that can be a process because so many people have been under guilt and condemnation and oh god's going to get you and well not if you're his kid not if you're on his side not if you're not evil come on amen and even if you are evil god doesn't have to do anything evil has within itself its own consequence it's called sowing and reaping amen and he tells you this is the path to walk in walk in it don't walk to the left or the right but walk in this path and you'll be blessed and then people are always wandering around out in the right and the left going why is life so tough uh you're in the wilderness come out of the wilderness get in the way of the lord and don't get in his way get in the way okay that's been another problem well i've been in the way now for 50 yeah i know right in the middle of the way you've been in the way move over and let somebody else do something amen but we have to realize that god has prepared a path that we can walk in that is blessed amen now keep let's keep going let's keep looking at it he says in verse 16 above all and what does that mean it means above all right doesn't mean last of all doesn't mean least of all it means above all taking the shield of faith now why you say wait a minute is so is the shield of faith the most important thing okay you have to look at the context the context here is taking the armor of god that you may be able to withstand so the context in the context of standing the shield of faith is above all do you get that why because he says wherewith where with what with the shield of faith you shall say shout out that that means not maybe that means it will happen is that right you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked now notice it it's amazing shao is the most it's the strongest word in the english language you shall do this in other words now notice he says with the shield of faith you shall and then he adds this word that has a variable you shall be able he doesn't say wherewith you shall quench he says wherewith you shall be able to quench what does that mean that means you can have a shield and not use it do you get that so you can have a shield but not use that shield but if you use that shield of faith you will quench all say all not some amen oh all means all one of the shortest words but biggest words amen all the fiery darts of the wicked so that ought to tell you right there he said because above all you take the shield of faith so faith is important amen without it of course you cannot please god with it all things are possible anything is possible amen nothing shall be impossible if you believe so now notice in verse 17 and take the helmet of salvation the helmet of salvation in other words now this is where we got the old term in the old old time pentecost you might say in other groups too but i was in old time pentecost so that's the group i know about the most and we used to call we used to tell people well you need no so salvation no so salvation what are they that means that you know that you're saved well see no so salvation is they got this from this right here from the helmet of salvation if you have the helmet of salvation your mind is protected for salvation because you know you got it you people say well you say well i hope so see hope so don't work it's not hope so salvation it's no so salvation amen and you know if you are if you're not now you may be able to fake it around people you may be able to fake it you know in church and that kind of things but god knows and you know and the thing is if you're around people long enough they'll know why because your salvation will come out your mouth if you never mention anything about god if you never when you're just talking in general and you're not talking about the things of god i would doubt your salvation i really would why because what's in your heart comes out of your mouth and so people say well but to me it's private ain't no private salvation there's no such thing as a private salvation you go off in a corner somewhere to get saved and keep it hidden you know until you die or something no salvation is for odyssey you're supposed to be a light and you don't light a light a candle and put it under a bushel jesus said that amen so he said above all taking the shield of faith wherewith you shall be able now what does that mean that means that you have a shield of faith and he knows god knows and he wants you to know that if you have that shield you are able to quench the fiery darts now it's up to you what are you going to do with it he gave you the tools to stand he gave you the tools to win he gave you the tools to withstand even the fiery darts of the wicked one and to put all of them out so that means now understand whenever you have a shield and if you go back to the well we would say the old uh like some of the old movies and things and they would be they would have their shields and they the enemy would be firing arrows at them sometimes they were on fire just as this is an illustration of and when those arrows hit the shield you got to realize those things hit with force they didn't just stick it up there and couldn't tell if they were being shot at or not it's kind of like a bulletproof vest it might keep you from dying but you're going to know you got shot right you're going to have some bruises and even some sometimes some cracked ribs and that kind of stuff so why because you're going to know you're being shot at and it was the same thing with that shield that when those arrows hit it there was a thump and it it jarred you because those things are hitting with force that's why a lot of times you'll see someone when they get hit even in the movies or whatever when they get hit with an arrow it knocks them backwards you see sometimes when people just get hit and they just kind of fall down that's movies in real life when they got hit they usually fell backwards why because of the force with it and so and the force wasn't fast enough to be supersonic because when it's supersonic you fall forward whenever you get hit so but when this arrow hits there would be a thump and you would feel it and sometimes the arrowheads could even start to come through the shields so whenever you're in the battle just because you have a shield of faith doesn't mean well you're not going to know anything that's going on no you're going to know you're under fire you're going to know you're under attack but you're not getting wounded and you know that okay i'm standing i'm standing and now here's the thing you have to know that your shield of faith will withstand the attacks of the arrows of the enemy you have to have faith in your faith in that sense of knowing that my faith in christ will hold me here and my faith in him is that he is protecting me and that he will carry me through this that's your faith and when i say have faith in your faith i'm not talking about just building up your faith and go will my faith my faith no i'm not talking about that aspect because i want you to realize that your faith is in him your faith is not in you when you put your faith in your faith it becomes humanism so when i say have faith in your faith in this context i'm talking about you knowing that faith works and that your faith in christ will work for you amen does that make sense now notice he says that if you take the shield of faith which is another piece of the armor you shall be able to quench that means put out every fire the enemy starts right of the wicked verse 17 take the helmet of salvation now notice these he just kind of goes through pretty quickly and take the helmet of salvation that's as i said knowing that you're saved knowing that it's a done deal for you in other words you ain't backing up you ain't backing off you ain't backing out you're not drawing back uh to perdition as the bible says but notice and then the next one and the sword of the spirit which here he actually gives you a definition of it which is the word of god now when he says the sword of the spirit which is the word of god and the word word there in the greek is the greek word rhema and there's been all kinds of teachings about rhema and all kinds of teachings about the logos and the raymond these kind of things and probably 98 of it's wrong and all you have to do to find out is open up a strong's concordance or a vines dictionary of new testament words and you'll find it and matter of fact if you've been to the dht you can see we did a section on that and all i did was copy and paste straight out of strong's concordance straight out of vines dictionary of new testament words and it shows the difference between the two most people think that rhema is this mystical thing that god just thinks and it clicks in you and now it's god speaking to you a a word almost like an audible word but not all you know not necessarily audible but it's him speaking right then that is not true that is not what the bible says and even if it were true then we would just be in big trouble because in james it actually says be doers of the logos not doers of the rhema and so we're to be doers the logos the logos is this bible in right context in other words on a particular topic say like healing if you have the right concept of healing in other words all the scriptures about healing in order put together rightly divided you have the logos of healing now whenever you take that logos of healing and you start doing it mark 16 believers lay hands on the sick when you start doing that that's one part of it there's many more parts but that's one part of it and when you start doing that now that logos becomes rhema to you why because rhema is the word you live by so people say well you know i live by the bible no you don't you live by pieces of the bible i don't know anybody that's living by the whole bible you know because if you did you'd look like jesus and we'd all know it so we're all just walking in different levels of the word right well it's like people say well you know i live by the laws of the land okay well that's good uh all of them yep everyone let me follow you for 10 minutes on the highway let's see you know it's against the law to change lanes without a signal that's against the law you can get a ticket for that right and a lot of people you know they don't even think about a signal i've seen people train three lanes not going to get off under this but anyway just because they didn't want to go down and make a u-turn and come back they zip across three lanes and you watch all the cars light up because they're having to hit the brakes because somebody didn't want to go down another block and make a u-turn they want to cut right across them anyway okay we're going to go on spend a lot of time in my car let me tell you i see a lot i see a lot so but now notice the sword of the spirit which is the rhema the word of god the word of god that you live by notice he says take that word that you act upon take that word that you live by and that is the sword of the spirit same the sword of the spirit is not just a scripture you can't take a scripture and just quote it and just say oh well that's the sword of the spirit or somebody say where's your sword oh here's my sword no it's not no no this is the maybe the scabbard or the sheath for it but your sword is in here why because it's the word that you live by do you get that and so that you you do realize uh the apostles never had that they never had a bible that they could walk around with all the sayings of jesus in it they didn't have a bible altogether uh that had all the epistles in it from paul paul didn't walk around with epistles of peter and that kind of stuff in a book like we have it you realize that right all they had what was what was in their heart and in their minds what they could remember and what the holy spirit brought to them for their remembrance now as you according to vines expository dictionary new testament words it actually says that the word rhema for you to have rhema you have to store regularly the logos of god in your heart and whenever you're in a situation that word that you have stored in your heart will come to your mind that's called coming to your remembrance and so when it comes to your remembrance then you act on that word and it works matter of fact i'm gonna give you an example of that i think in uh well i don't think it'll be in it'll be at some point today uh probably during the announcements i'm gonna give you an example of that so but now notice he says in verse 18. so now these are all the pieces you got that these are all the pieces loins gird about with truth breastplate of righteousness shoes your feet shot with the preparation the gospel of peace the shield of faith right the helmet of salvation the sword of the spirit that's the armor now notice what he says next praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit and watching there unto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints that's another aspect now prayer technically is not part of the armor but it is one of your weapons right now if you go to mark chapter 5. mark chapter 5 verse 21 and when jesus was passed over again by ship under the other side much people gathered unto him and he was near to the sea and behold there comes one of the rulers of the synagogue jairus by name and when he saw him he fell at his feet and besought him greatly saying my little daughter lies at the point of death i pray thee come and lay thy hands on her that she may be healed and she will live and jesus went with him and much people followed him and thronged him and a certain woman which had an issue of blood 12 years and had suffered many things of many physicians and had spent all that she had and was nothing better but rather grew worse now i could preach on that for a bit but we're not taking the time for that today when she had heard of jesus came in the press behind and touched his garment for she said if i may touch but his clothes i shall be whole and straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague and jesus immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him the word virtue means power that virtue power had gone out of him turned him about in the press and said who touched my clothes so notice somebody got healed and he didn't even know who it was and then and his disciples said unto him you see the multitude thronging you and you say who touched me and he looked round about to see her that had done this thing but the woman fearing and trembling knowing what was done in her came and fell down before him and told him all the truth and he said unto her daughter your faith has made you whole go in peace and be whole of thy plague while he yet spoke there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said thy daughter is dead why troublest thou the master any further now watch get the picture the man came to jesus and said if you'll come to my house my daughter's dying she's at the point of death right now if you'll come and lay your hands on her she will live notice he set the conditions the man set the condition if you come and lay hands on her she will live jesus went with him now so as soon as jesus agrees to go right as soon as that happens what's the next thing that happens he gets bad news okay look at the pattern because it's gonna be the same pattern that hits many of you because you're gonna have some problem going on you're gonna take it to jesus jesus is gonna give you his word that by his stripes you were healed and then the next thing you're going to hear you're going to get a bad report somebody's going to tell you oh that that situation that's terminal oh that situation that's going to be debilitating it's going to make you well you'll never be normal again you're going to hear some type of bad news somebody's going to come believe me people always come with bad news bad news travels much faster than good news and so they're going to come and tell you why and they're not going to say jesus is wrong well you might have some that will do that well jesus doesn't do that anymore but generally they're going to come and they're going to give you a reason some natural thing and you're going well i've already dealt with that you know i believe god well that's nice but you know you're just in denial because this you got to realize this is a real situation as though the bible isn't real right it's more real why because it's spiritual and spiritual is more real than natural right and so you're gonna you're gonna come up against this situation it could be maybe that it's not you in that situation it could be you ministered to somebody and then you get a bad report that their situation got worse and then see when you hear that why do you need to hear that why because the enemy wants to make sure that what he's going to do is he's going to try to test you at the fiery dart he's going to try to get you to see if he'll back off and go oh well i guess it didn't work and then that person will die because you retracted your faith so you have to stand in these situations it's good if they can stand but one of you have to stand and so whenever you hear that bad report number one you can stop yourself from hearing it in many cases but if you can't then you have to immediately take that thought captive because it will go in as a seed and it will grow up in you and you'll start backing off the next time you start to pray for somebody that thing will come up in your mind and you'll have to fight that thing off then or you'll go well yeah and now you move out of the prayer of faith in the prayer of hope which we are not guaranteed an answer for so i'm telling you how to stand so once you have been prayed for you have to stand once you pray for somebody you have to stand you expect them to stand but most people don't know how to stand so you have to stand for them in that case amen now let's keep going he says while he had spoke they said why trouble is thou the master any further as soon now watch as soon as jesus heard the word that was spoken as soon now notice this is mark still in mark yep mark the big thing with mark is you'll read his word more than any other place any other gospel he used the word immediately why because mark was a young man and young men want everything done now right it's we got to move we got to do something and i agree with 100 i'm still that way right so i guess i'm still young in here right but it says here as soon you'll always see mark talking about quickness as soon as jesus heard it in other words this man is standing there the ruler of the synagogue jairus and this man comes up and says uh your daughter's dead don't trouble the master as soon as jesus heard that before jairus could even respond jesus steps in so as soon as here now watch as soon as he heard the word that was spoken he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue be not afraid only believe so here this guy just said it and i mean literally as soon as it got out of that man's mouth before jairus could respond before he could say something against what he had already said as before he could nullify or negate his faith jesus steps in and says not only believe don't be afraid only believe in other words don't listen to that what did you tell me you told me if i lay my hands on your daughter she will live stick with that do you see what i'm saying there's a battle that goes on that once you have been ministered to there's going to be a battle why because the enemy comes immediately to steal the word that was put in your heart and he's going to try to get you to change your mouth why because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and he wants you to change your mouth and disagree with the word so that he will have free reign to first he comes to steal the words on your heart then he comes to kill and destroy and if he can get that word out of you he can kill and destroy so you have to keep him from stealing if you can keep him from stealing the word that was put in your heart you can keep him from killing and destroying you your family or whoever you have ministered to amen but this takes a grit you have to realize that this word is more true than anything you'll see what the words that are written on these pages and on this paper is more real than words written on pages that have a doctor's name or a hospital name at the top of it do you understand that it is amazing the number of times i've both heard and even know of people that just because they got the doctor's report and the minute they read it literally they started going downhill beforehand you couldn't even tell they were sick they went and got tested for whatever and they weren't even sick you couldn't even see it they had no symptoms sometimes it was a physical just a regular yearly physical and then they come back with a bad report and immediately that person starts going downhill why because they have agreed with it and you have the right to determine the the condition of your own body amen my grandfather was 69 actually yeah 16 he was born in 1900 so back in 1969 i was 10 and whenever he was 69 years old he had worked at a uh actually at a funeral home for 30 years something like that and had known these people the people that owned the funeral home all this time was good friends with them and then the man that owned the funeral home actually retired and i think he actually passed away at some point but my grandfather was the one that actually took out the back home and dig the grave and then he'd have to get in the grave and shove this thing out and he did that until he was 69 years old out there digging graves right in south texas it's hot and so he was out there digging these graves and then the son took over the funeral home and said okay we got we're going to give you all insurance but uh you you've got to go get uh a physical my my grandfather went to to get a physical and the doctor said what how are you alive and he said what do you mean he said your heart you could go at any minute and this is a 69 year old man it's been out there digging graves physically with a shovel working eight ten hours a day and is in perfect physical health i mean he you know i still remember him we used to go up to the indian um reserve uh up in oklahoma and we'd stay up there on the weekends and go up there sometimes for the summer all the time from my time i was about six i think i was about six or seven and we'd go up there every year and we'd stay up there a week sometimes we almost stayed a month one time and we lived outside and he would show me a bunch of old indian ways of doing things it was a lot of fun for a kid and so taught me how to run how they used to run for miles and miles and miles and not get really tired and that kind of stuff and so we went through all that stuff so we were very close plus it was in their yard where i got ran over whenever i was 17 months old and so i was always very close to them and they helped take care of me whenever i was recovering from that and so he was very close to me and so but whenever they told him that this uh doctor said yeah you could drop dead any minute he said you can't do this kind of work and so he told the funeral home director this man cannot do that kind of work anymore so they forcibly retired him basically six months he was dead six months why because he had nothing to do he and that generation especially work made you worthy you know you were valuable because of the work you did and so he had nothing to do and literally in six months he was dead and yet he had been going fine for who knows how long with what they said was this heart condition so one of the worst things you can do is believe a report he should have just watered that thing up and kept on going he probably lived to be 90 or more right so because others in our family have done that regularly so just saying watch what you believe watch what reports come to you and like isaiah 53 says who who shall believe the report of the lord you've got to decide what report you're going to believe amen so let's finish up here he says here he said be not afraid only believe that's standing and he suffered no man to follow him except peter and james and john the brother of james and he comes to the house of the rule of the synagogue sees the tumult and them that wept and well greatly when he's come in he sayeth unto them why make ye this a doom weep the damsel is not dead but sleeps and they laughed him to scorn but when he had put them all out i love that he laughed they laughed him to scorn but when he put them all out laugh at me will you i'll throw you out of the house it wasn't even his house i mean think about that he'd chase people out it wasn't even his house so he says he takes the father and the mother of the damsel and them that were with him and entereth in where the damsel was lying he took the damsel by the hand and said unto her talitha kumi which is being interpreted damsel i say unto thee arise and straightway the damsel arose and walked for she was of the age of 12 years the same number of years that the woman had the issue of blood if you remember and they were astonished with a great astonishment and he charged them straightly no man should know it and commanded that something should be given her to eat now notice too the man said if you come and lay your hands on her she will live is that right notice what it says here and he took the damsel by the hand why did he do that because that was the rules that was the condition the man had set if you lay hands on her so taking her by the hand was the same as laying hands right now go with me quickly to james chapter one we're gonna finish up right here i think we are yep pretty close james chapter one verse five if any of you lack wisdom let him ask of god that gives to all men liberally and that braids not and it shall be given him but let him ask in faith nothing wavering what does that mean stand stand for he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed for let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the lord a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways what does that mean once you make a decision on it if you decide that by yourself you were healed stand by don't waver don't speak other things don't make plan b's amen faith has no plan b so what do you believe let me let me put this way why do people come to me right well they believe god hears my prayers they some people believe that i have a gift or some special anointing or something like that but the fact is i'm a believer i believe the word of god i believe proverbs 18 21 that death and life are in the power of the tongue so what i do i watch my words right but this is why people come why because i do these things and god honors it by getting results i believe mark 16 18 that if i lay my hands on the sick they shall recover that word recover i'll tell you what it means it literally means this to take hold of your healing as a possession to take hold of as a possession to take hold of your healing so there is a place if i lay hands on you you have nothing i will do this but you have to do this you have to take hold of your healing as i've got it this is mine and it's my possession so right now i'm in the possession of healing do you understand and when you do that that's called recover see the word recover means to take possession that's what it means you're going to lay hands on the sick and they shall take possession of their healing that's literally what the what the greek says so so you have to decide to take to recover basically and then finally i said second finally i know okay james chapter 4 verse 4 says you adulterers and adulteresses know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with god whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of god do you think that the scripture sayeth in vain that the spirit that dwells in us lusteth to envy but he gives more grace wherefore he saith god resists the proud but gives grace to the humble now watch what it means submit yourselves therefore to god resist the devil and he will flee from you notice the order submit to god resist the devil he will flee isn't that easy submit resist he will flee so before you can resist you have to submit now notice this speak not evil one of another brethren he that speaks evil of his brother and judges his brother speaks evil of the law notice it goes immediately after talking about submitting it goes immediately to your words and judges the law but if you judge the law you are not a doer of the law but a judge there is one lawgiver who is able to save and to destroy who are you to judge another in james 4 17 it says therefore to him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not to him it's sin now remember ephesians where we started ephesians 6 13 says wherefore take unto you the whole armor of god so that you you may be able to stand in the evil day and having done all to stand right finally real finally for sure okay smith wigglesworth said every sickness and every disease is a devil that does not mean that it is a spirit in and of itself even though that is true i would even say a majority of the time but what he means is an adversary sickness and disease is an adversary it's an enemy right and should be treated as such treat every sickness like a devil and you can't deal lightly with the devil he must be treated roughly and that's why he was the way he was when he ministered and so i want you to realize there are going to be times in your life where you're going to have to take a stand decide i'm not going to say this i'm not going to say that i'm going to say what the bible says by his stripes i was healed i see that report and i do not agree with that report right i agree with this report by his stripes i was healed and then you get rough with the devil and the devil at that point you command that thing and you get rough with it and you get loud if you have to but you have to get rough and you have to get violent with that thing that is trying to stay there and you can call it whatever the doctors have called it you can call it whatever you want to call it but it's a devil it's an adversary i'll never forget i was with i was at a meeting with teal osborne and he was given a testimony of a healing that took place in africa when he was there and he had a doctor there with him and the doctor would examine the people before and after uh tail ozone was ministered to him and the doctor was with him at this meeting that i was at and he was talking about this woman that had been bowed over just like the bible the woman in the bible and he said and she came up and she was bowed over and it was a pitiful sight and he would talk about it and he said and the doctor he said doctor what was that she had and the doctor gave him a long name i mean a long name and he said what and he said said it again he said it's a devil cast it out why because you have to realize it's not the name it's what it does and so you have to realize that's an adversary whether there's a spirit attached to it or whether there's not it's an adversary and if you treat it all the same then if there is a spirit you'll get that too you'll get it away and so you don't just play with it and well be healed in jesus name all right no there are times whenever you have to get violent with that thing and let it know you're coming out today and whenever i've seen whenever i get more aggressive we see faster results and greater results immediately and so now a lot of people don't like that but it just depends on how free and how soon you want to be free amen all right drag anything out of this you learn something on this learn how to stand and then don't back off so get up get around a little bit you can meet and greet people and talk to them and we will be right back all right let's take our seats let's take your seats all right well good morning good morning we are here it is a beautiful july the 4th and we are thankful that we live in a free country amen so it uh we went to actually went to a rodeo last night over in mesquite been man years probably 30 at least 30 somewhat 35 years i guess since i've been there somewhere like that that's where i went i went through the bull riding school there when i was a kid and it was good it's good to be back over there brought back a lot of old memories the last time i was there was with my actually my dad who passed away in 2011 but we were there together and we knew my dad knew all the people there so we got to go around behind the bucking shoots and all that and see all the different cowboys that were there got to meet some pretty well-known people and had a good time but yesterday my daughter rebecca had bought tickets for us to go for father's day and then set it for them because last night they had a veteran's kind of a appreciation night and then because of the july 4th but it was awesome we had great seats we were right i mean on the front and right up front right near the bucking chutes and then whenever they did the barrel racing they put the barrel right in front of us and every time a horse ran around we got doused with dirt it was it was great it was good it was a lot of fun so um and then one time when they were doing the bull riding and one of the bulls after he threw the cowboy the bull came running after the clown they had there i'm sorry they're called bullfighters now they were clowns whenever i was growing up now they're bullfighters which they do and he had to run from him so he ran and jumped the fence in front of us and my daughter and her husband and my grandson had just left so there were three empty seats and my wife was sitting there and the uh the the clown jumped the fence and just around sat down right next to him put his arm on my wife and just started talking to her so it's kind of he said he said oh i'm sorry i thought you were my wife but actually he was running from the bull that's what he was trying to do but we were that close and the bull was right there too he was right there so it was we had a great time um my wife said you know i just don't understand why i don't know how you got into that and i'm like adrenaline that's the only reason that was i never did alcohol never did drugs none of that kind of stuff adrenaline was my drug of choice and there are only certain ways you can get adrenaline and live through it which bull riding annoys one of those but anyway it was it was a good time of growing up so um i kind of wished i had been able to stick around that culture more uh we were walking through and there was a little little boy there about this tall had a big old hat on and whenever he saw my grandson who is seven they were about the same age there's a little boy standing there he's standing just like his dad he's just standing there my they saw each other he touched his hat when i'm like that little man little guy there he's just so cute so that's the culture we need a culture of respect that we still show respect one to another so but this morning i'm glad you are here glad those that are watching by internet also i'm going to read something to you very quickly and then turn it over to the worship team and we are going to just sing to as they say to high heaven amen amen so this is actually from smith wigglesworth and he said a needy man came to me in a meeting he was withered and wasted in a hopeless condition death lay in his eyes he was so helpless he had to have someone on each side to carry him along he said to me in a whisper can you help me this afflicted man standing before me so helpless so withered he had had cancer of the stomach the physicians had taken away the cancer from his stomach but in removing it they had taken away the man's ability to swallow the cancer was removed and seemingly his life was spared but he could not swallow any longer in order to keep him from starving they had made an opening in his stomach and inserted a tube about nine inches long with a cup at the top and he fed himself with liquids so you get a picture remember this is in the 1920s going into the 1930s and so they had put a hole and run a tube in and then put like a funnel that he had to pour things into so he could get nutrition right that means it was always open and that tube was always in there right he had to walk around with that now think about that and he said for three months he had managed to keep alive walking about like a skeleton here he was asking whether i could help him what should i say listen carefully this is why i'm reading this to you i remembered the promise do you hear that i remembered not and the lord spoken to me saying no i remembered the promise this is the great smith wigglesworth right you want to know how he operated it wasn't some mystical wispy thing he was in the word constant and he said i remembered the promise if thou canst believe all things are possible to him that believeth and again he that believeth on me the works that i do shall he do also and greater works than thee shall he do because i go unto my father the word must be true jesus is with the father and therefore even greater works than his can be done if we believe so i believed therefore i spoke here's what he told him go home and have a good supper the poor fellow replied i cannot swallow i repeat it on the authority of the word of god i say it it is the promise of jesus go home in the name of jesus and have a good supper he went home supper was prepared many times before this he had taken food in his mouth and had been forced to spit it out again but i have believed god and i'm here to inspire you i'm a natural man just as you are but i dared to believe that he would swallow that night so after he had filled his mouth with food he chewed it and then it went right down his throat he ate until he was quite satisfied he and his family went to bed filled with joy the next morning when they arose they were filled with the same joy life had begun again it seemed the man looked down to see the opening which the physicians had made in his stomach but it was gone he did not need two openings so when god opened the natural passage he clothed the other that is what god is like all the time he brings things to pass when we believe and trust him god wants you to realize this truth dare to believe then dare to speak and you shall have whatsoever you say isn't that pretty simple now think about that and remember how that started i remembered the promise well he couldn't remember it if it hadn't been in there but he was known he would sit down and read for 30 minutes read the bible then he would pray for about 30 minutes then he'd go back and read the bible again for another 30 minutes and if there was somebody present he didn't violate that he still went along with it and they would talk a little bit about it but he would go from prayer to reading the bible to prayer to talk about it to prayer to reading the bible and that's how he lived you want wigglesworth results live a wigglesworth's life stay in the word of god get the word of god in you if you abide in him and his words abide in you you will ask whatever you will and it shall be done amen god always works where there's faith and god wherever there has been faith god has always done the miraculous when we see the cease of the miraculous it's because god is seeing the cease of faith because faith is the tracks that the train of power runs on and wherever you lay the tracks power will go but the tracks is faith in god have faith in god lay the tracks speak it god will honor your words but you remember his promise amen that's about as simple as it can get and when you do that you will see the miraculous in somebody getting saved right now in jesus name [Laughter] glory to god i'm telling you man as the days draw near man we need to ramp up our joy our rejoicing our believing our gratitude amen god is good and all the time god is so good well the children are they just know we usually are supposed to release the children but they know as soon as we resound with the big amen they they can't go on a head out but lord we just bless these young ones these young saints that they grow up to know that they are like christ that even right now at this young age that they would walk in the signs and the wonders and the powers and the wisdom and the glory and the grace that you have provided for them in jesus name amen hallelujah hallelujah well good morning welcome this morning it is good to be together yeah are you encouraged this morning uh i i can sense it in the room let's keep this level of expectancy even as we prepare our hearts to receive the word this morning so uh happy independence day who likes liberty yeah amen amen if you don't i have a few countries that you could travel to and uh you'll be wanting to run back i guarantee it but we thank god let's just take a moment let's just pray for this nation yeah it's one thing to celebrate and it's another thing to come together and to pray like the bible tells us to amen so father we just thank you for united states of america we thank you lord for the great liberty and freedoms lord that are afforded to us under our constitution and our amendments lord we are so thankful that even now lord when we gather we can gather in freedom we can gather in liberty we can gather under the name that is above every name and lord even if that liberty wasn't afforded to us these saints we will gather regardless because we are we've been called to liberty for it is for liberty that we have been set free but right now lord we declare your salvation over our officials those who are leading and governing lord god at every dimension we declare salvation to their souls salvation lord for this country lord god we thank you lord that those who are been set to serve us lord and our fire departments are the police departments we declare your protection lord god we declare that your spirit would lead them and guide them lord god and that they would know the truth that sets them free so we bless this going to be having for the whole month of september a healing campaign and so that means every night from monday to thursday and that may change depending on how things are moving with this uh monday to thursday every evening starting at six o'clock there's going to be teaching on healing and then we're going to have uh basically like a healing crusade a healing line and god is going to have his way we're going to see his kingdom come and his will be done in earth why because we're gonna because we set our faith to amen and so we're we're 11 we're we're raising the level of expectancy this is going to be an amazing conference now it's set for the month of september we're just going to see what god would have us do and so as this thing continues to grow which it has been the ex expect expectations have been growing and the numbers have been growing for it and so um we say please register if you have not yet please register for every night that you will attend so just registering gave your son and so lord we choose to give with the same level of generosity and expectation knowing lord that every seed that we sow right now we sow with joy we sow with faith believing that it will accomplish your desire here on the earth lord because every seed that is placed in your hand in faith has limitless potential so we bless this time of offering and worship in jesus mighty name and the church said amen amen and as they do that let's talk about some testimonies how many of you know that god is still moving how many of god is still healing how many know god is still saving oh come on somebody need to make a little more noise than that it's jesus lord hallelujah hallelujah so i want to share with you um we had two of our our uh members actually go abroad actually both of them went to africa and one went to tanzania the other is still in zambia uh and uh brother reggie actually who plays keyboards he went to tanzania and we're gonna hear the amazing things that god did through his ministry and and what he did there bringing this message there and actually the open door now to go back in tanzania for this message to continue there so we're going to hear at some point what god did in that but we have uh sister catherine who's still in zambia and she went there for a particular reason but the enemy through kovid kept trying to shut it down kept trying to shut it down and doors would open and other doors would would close and doors would open and so but she her the director said you need to get out of there now you need to come home now and she says nope nope i'm here for a reason i'm here for a purpose and and the gospel is going to go forth she's just there trusting god just going around sowing seeds preaching the gospel healing the sick so this is an update from her and what god has been doing so she says last week my son my zambian son so she's been sponsoring a child from zambia for for the last 12 years uh my zombie and son joseph uh who i've been sponsoring for the last 12 years messaged me and said he woke up very sick he was vomiting he was weak and he had headaches uh he had passed out trying to go to the restroom i drove to his place and commanded healing over his body and he was instantly healed now what you don't i think i believe it's the same story and her dad can correct me he was supposed to go take an exam right and he called his professor and said hey i can't i'm not feeling well and so she comes and she prays for him and he's healed and she goes all right get up like like a mom does to a son get up and call your professor go take your exam so i'm sure he was excited about that um so she says this miracle has led now to several others three of which happened that very day so joseph asked if i would go with him to pray over his older sister who was hiv positive when we finished praying she said all her symptoms had gone did y'all hear that hiv positive man can't do anything about that but god can all her symptoms were gone she's going to the clinic to get tested again we're excited to see her negative test results come on number two when we finished there she she asked us to go with her to their aunt mary's house aunt mary said she had pains in her legs so bad it kept her up most of the night crying and she was never able to sleep we began to pray she backed away immediately and a demon began to speak through her telling me to stop and all the other stuff that demons try to do i told it to be quiet commanded it to leave and it left mary then began crying as she joined me in prayer i commanded healing for her legs which were still in pain and the pain left you could barely contain the joy of mary in her little house after her deliverance and her healing come on hello number three while i was praying for mary her friend bertha had stopped by and saw what had happened she then asked for healing over her body join x headache pain in her chest after praying a couple of times and the chest pain moving from her chest to her back bertha was completely healed come on come on somebody give jesus praise that he's worthy of and we're going to show this picture so the the the far left that's aunt mary and then that's joseph in the middle and then that's i believe his sister uh all of them healed by the stripes of jesus we serve a good god amen amen amen amen and so we'll say it again just believe hallelujah i'm loving the atmosphere in this room i think there's some people in here expecting expecting the god to do the same things because he's the same yesterday today and forever amen amen so right now would you prepare your hearts to receive the word that is going to be sown on us by our dear brother curry would you give him a good god bless you as he comes this morning [Applause] amen amen god is still moving he's never stopped amen amen as we said god bless america today especially god bless texas amen texas is a leader in liberty i think it's a two-horse race between texas and florida uh but we're we're we're getting out there so but um you know we got to let our light shine amen and there was uh that was listening of course to the testimonies and i hadn't i hadn't heard these testimonies uh i get testimonies in they get testimonies in and sometimes we don't get to talk about them beforehand and there was a couple things he mentioned that uh where we talk about today as a matter of fact but i remember when i was in south africa at one point went over with the team and we were there was a apparently a very wealthy family uh lived in a very nice area and they invited us well they asked us to come to pray for the woman that was there who had been sick for a period of time it was really serious i'm trying to remember i believe it was cancer i'm trying to remember exactly the situation but because you know glory to god you know when you have so many testimonies it's hard to remember which is which that's not a bad thing amen and so but we went to her house and like i said it was a beautiful home gated community everything was really pretty and they had uh a worker there that they had a crew there that was working on the yard and so we went in to pray for the woman and she got completely healed was up moving around joyous and then when she walked us out they had not seen her walking before and so not in uh it'd been over eight months uh since she had walked and so and then when she could try to walk she would try to come out and tell them about the lawn but she had to use this walker thing because she was just so weak and so the here she comes out now she's just full of life and they're looking at her like what happened to you and the man and it was a actually the guy that was there i think he was actually australian or had been from australia at one point and so he saw her and he's just teared up i mean teared up and so he he was telling us about the woman next door that he did their yard too so he said that woman next door she she needs you and so i said well would you introduce us and so he said well yeah i guess so so he walked us over there and this woman had a walking cane and she she couldn't walk except with that cane she was very the whole side of her leg her whole side of her body was stiff and so he went in he was standing at the door and actually he stayed outside so he could smoke a cigarette because she wouldn't let him smoke in the house and so he went outside to smoke after he introduced us and he was standing there watching through the door and so i had another couple other brothers there with me and we just started commanding and then about the time one brother was standing there he said well here if you're healed you don't need this and he took her cane and said now walk and so she just took off walking and was completely healed and the man standing outside just threw down his cigarette and started looking at it and then we walked outside and he was i mean by this time he was he was so much it wasn't like tears were pouring down but he was right there and he was doing you know he was in his probably in his uh 60s i guess trying not to cry trying to be you know very masculine and not showing the emotion but he was just you could see his eyes were tearing up and so he said he said well you know there is another family around the corner here so and that's what reminded me of this testimony that uh brother athena was telling us about how it just goes from family to family to family and from person to person and so we ended up all getting in the car in the van we were in and then we followed him to the next place which was around the corner and prayed for another family there and while we were there they got healed and this woman this woman was cooking food had her apron on was cooking her husband was there and they invited us in and she said oh you know i wasn't preparing for this but you know we'll make do for fruit no we're not here to eat uh it smelled good but she's we said we're not here to eat so we're just gonna we're gonna wanna pray for you and uh because she had been sick for several years herself and her husband was just standing there and as we started praying god started healing her and then started healing her husband which we didn't even know about and then he goes over and grabs her and they're just they're both totally healed and they're both so excited they just grab each other and hug each other and we're kind of like okay we just kind of left them alone and just kind of walked out the door but he just went from one thing to the next to the next and then when i went back outside the man that had brought us there uh was sitting in his truck and he didn't want to faith because we we went by and talked to him and said so what do you what do you think about all this and he said well i i'm not not much for all this religious stuff i said no i mean neither and he said he said he looked at me kind of strange he said but god god was here today and i'm like i got news for you he's here every day i said if you drove around with us like this is what we do the whole time we're in africa this is what we do and he's sitting there and he kept looking away and wiping his eyes and he'd look back at me and talk some more and he'd look back over and wiped his eyes and so as i started to walk off one of our other brothers there was a african he went to him and said you know can i pray with you and started praying with him and the man had never the lady at the first house knew him and said yeah he's not you know forget it i mean he had a bottle in his truck and his life was very uh as well as he said non-religious but that way and but she said yeah he's not into any of this but before we left our other brother got to pray with him and he gave his heart to christ because he saw god because he saw god moved so so it is amazing just before i came in also i was reading some of the testimonies you know i've been reading some of wigglesworth's testimonies and different things and i was reading about mother etter about her meetings here in dallas and there was a young boy that was there that was what they call deaf and mute and he was deaf in both ears and could not speak and they said whenever they brought him forward for her she it's so funny because the boy okay spoiler alert he gets healed okay i'll just tell you because he was the one telling the testimony and he said that when sister etter came up to him she put her finger in the back of his mouth and touched his tongue at the root of his tongue right so just picture that right not your normal prayer right she i mean can you imagine head back stickers her finger down his back and then put her other finger in his ear and but now notice here's here's why i'm bringing this up he said when she commanded the deaf and dumb spirit to leave me god opened my ears the spirit left and i regained my speech and he began speaking instantly right so why do i say that because today we're going to pick up where we left off and if you'll notice we're i'm actually doing two series at the same time i'm doing and they kind of vary of whether it's the nine o'clock series or ten o'clock series because i'm not doing them in the order in other words i'm not doing the nine o'clock in order one two three that way or the ten o'clock one two three i'm doing because we're doing two theories one is uh you can be healed and the other is we are not alone if you remember the other week when we started that and we talked about yeah i know yes and we started with the uh the soundtrack okay um and so uh so we're talking about these two different things and it kind of alternates of where they fit in the service and i believe god shows me what to bring out when so today we're picking up this morning we talked about you can be healed and how to stand for your healing to now we're going to be talking about literally we are not alone and this will be part two and last time we talked about angels and their ministry to us and through us and for us and that kind of thing uh but today we want to talk about something that a lot of people don't even talk about today at all don't even believe in anymore and that's demons and evil spirits and so you'll notice in both the testimony that i just gave with sister etter uh that had to do with demonic spirits the testimony of othniel had to do with a woman being delivered of an evil spirit and so evil spirits are real that's one of the problems why people in judicial circles or court circles that kind of thing they don't know how to deal with certain things because they have not accepted the reality that there is evil and so they look at certain things and they always try to make evil some type of mental illness which is a honestly it's a very disrespectful toward people that are dealing with mental illness or dealing with the situation with somebody that actually has a mental illness and so because they make it seem like all people with mental illness fall in that category and it's not one of the things that i'm thankful for is that i was blessed early in my formative years of my christian life to be with dr lester sumrall and dr sumrall was an acknowledged expert in the areas of demons and demonology and um well just deliverance put it that way and when i say he was an acknowledged expert i don't mean in the church he was acknowledged in the church but courts would call him as a expert witness to go into court cases and testify on the reality of demon possession and or demon influence and what that would do and what could be the result of it and so and it's recorded in many court cases that he went to that it was recorded in the court files of particular certain cases of demon possession and aspects of it and so he is the acknowledged expert in the church but also even in the world of the reality of demons the devil there's the devil if you look in the king james bible the word demon is not in the king james it's devil or devils and now we have to realize that there is a devil the devil and then there are devils which are demons so there's one the devil satan and then there are demons that are his workers his messenger so to speak and so we're going to talk about that this morning so when i read this i'm going to go through a lot of facts here but i want you to get ahold of it because the main point about this is this i'm going to read some things to you and you're going to see how demons work and their some of their influence and things like this now as i read these things these are all from the bible and they are proof that demons did this or caused this now let's be very clear though if i say something here what the bible says that this demon did this or said this or caused this you have to realize if a person you know is having that thing go on i'm not saying they are possessed do you understand because there is a difference between possession and really it should be called influence and there's a spectrum and so you can be influenced like peter when peter you know said jesus said well we've got to go over it no that's not going to happen we're not going to let you do that jesus spoke to peter and said get behind me satan why because the word satan literally diablos diabolos uh literally means an an adversary it means a a slanderer an accuser i'll give you all the words in just a minute but it means an adversary so at that moment it didn't mean that satan had come in and possessed peter and now he was possessed he was being influenced at that moment to say that so that little statement no we're not going to let you go get killed jesus said you're an adversary you're being influenced by my adversary that's trying to keep me from my divine destiny do you understand that peter was not possessed but he was influenced so it shows that many times and you need to think about this and i really hope that what we speak about today really settles into you because you need to realize that the devil or devils depending generally here i would dare say probably most of the time the devil doesn't have direct uh interaction with you or influence in you personally uh usually it would be demonic spirits evil spirits that kind of thing that would be trying to harass or different things going on so in saying that that there is an influence so the devil can influence a person to make a statement in other words just at that moment that person is susceptible in their mentality and the devil can whisper in their ear a demonic spirit can whisper in their ear and they'll have a thought and they'll say that and that thought is against the bible it's against god it's against his purposes and it was uttered under the influence of that demon spirit and then that spirit's gone in other words it's not whispering it's not standing there whispering that person that person's not necessarily demon-possessed they're just influenced at that moment because most people's minds are not renewed enough and not stable enough or strong enough to resist influences right and their ease most people are easily influenced both well generally more easily influenced by demonic uh influence than sometimes by god's influence and so anything that has a statement or makes a statement that goes against god's purposes or disagrees with the word of god technically would be classified as a doctrine of devils all right so this is a very serious uh subject that we're talking about today because many people now have educated themselves to a place where they don't even believe demons exist anymore i've heard preachers say that the idea of demons was all because the people back in those days believed in them and so jesus came along and was saying that he was casting out spirits because he understood those people believed in them but in reality he was just trying to get them to think right okay so and this was these are preachers saying this but if that were true then jesus was also part of deception because he made them think that he was casting out a spirit and so i go with the bible there are spirits jesus casts them out and whatever preacher says that kind of stuff probably needs some cast out of him just that simple so now i've ran into people that don't like talking about this they don't want to talk about demons you know everything's got to be good and i don't want to hear that and if i don't talk about it it doesn't exist okay that's childish and foolish okay just because you know it's like saying you can't see me because i got my hands over my eyes no just because you don't want to admit it doesn't mean it doesn't exist then you got people that you know would say well there's a demon behind every doorknob and if you grew up in the charismatic community uh in the charismatic movement back in the day that was the thing oh there's a demon behind every doorknob and then came with a statement of well i don't believe there's a demon behind every doorknob i think there's two you know and that's the other thing all right but here's what we do know no matter how many of them there are we outnumber them and greater is he that is with us and in us than he that's in the world amen so this is but see the thing is and and i've told you this before because people say well i don't want to talk about that i don't want to hear about that that's probably because you got one that would be a number one reason why you don't want to talk about it because you start talking about it it's going to get stirred up and so we can tell a lot of times and then people things happen and especially when you start talking about these things things start happening and phones start going off and babies start crying and you know which really makes me mad to think that some you know demon pinched a baby just would cry in the middle of a meeting but we've seen this kind of things happen i've been in meetings where light bulbs started blowing out uh when you talk about stuff why because the devil wants you to get your attention off of him and he wants you to believe he doesn't exist because an enemy that you think doesn't exist has free reign so you have to know your enemy so that you can make sure that you defeat him right and so jesus beat him every time he turned around and so should you and so can you amen so but if you know how he works and sometimes you can you might not think it was a devil a spirit a demon but it was now here's our problem we have educated ourselves into unbelief why because we've watched too many things that talk about how this thing is a natural thing and that's a natural thing and this is a natural thing and that's caused by this and you can beat that let me tell you people will say well look at medicine medicine has beat polio medicine has beat this disease it's beat that disease no it has not it has caused the effects of the disease not to be as prevalent but it's still around and it still happens and anytime that you're not in that area with that particular medicine whatever that disease will rise up again so it has not been defeated it has only been submitted to a large degree now people say well if it's a demon how like okay listen carefully i have to be so careful how i say this because listen it is never my intention to ever in any way hurt anybody or make anybody feel bad in this thing other than sin if you're doing sin i want you to feel bad and repent all right just that simple okay let's just be honest but if it comes a sickness or a disease or some problem like that look to me it's like a flat tire it has nothing to do with you so let's just change it get you fixed and get you running again amen i don't think in terms of oh you got this disease so oh you're a bad person because of whatever no that disease is bad that demon is bad this this thing is bad you are under attack and my job is to get that tire changed and get that flat tire gun and get you back on the road amen so if i mention something that you're going through please understand i'm here to help i'm not here to condemn or put you down i want you free all right because there is nothing like freedom amen i hadn't even planned that for today look at that anyway now but for instance there are diseases that doctors can't diagnose problems different situations and when that happens it's always spiritual if they can if they cannot diagnose it with all their instruments and all their great knowledge if they can't figure out what it is it is always spiritual it is usually a spirit of infirmity which is the word infirmity means sickness so it's a spirit of sickness and we can we're not going to talk about that too much today but because i don't i just don't have time because of the list of things i got to give you but i will tell you this for instance you take a situation like epilepsy the medicine for epilepsy or the treatment for epilepsy does not cure epilepsy if you have absolute epilepsy and they give you medicine you will have to take that the rest of your life according to the doctors right it's that simple it does not cure it only causes parts of your brain not to be able to function so that listen carefully that spirit cannot make your body move that way and if you don't take that medicine that spirit because all it does is it numbs i'm using a very generic term i'm sure a doctor would have a much better term for it but it would not it numbs the part of the body that would allow the effects to be seen so it is not fixing anything it is merely hiding the effects do you understand that now i've dealt with this all over we've dealt with epilepsy since we've been in ministry i don't know of any particular case of epilepsy we've ever ministered to that wasn't healed but it's also because we don't just say be healed it is because we deal with the spirit and there is a spirit and people say well no it's because of lesions in the brain yep that a spirit caused and they said well but but it's because we don't know what caused it or we don't know i know what caused it well it's called a demon right it does not mean the person is demon-possessed do you understand that okay it means that that person is influenced by a demonic spirit it generally has no especially epilepsy has nothing to do with the person nothing to do with them it has all to do with the enemy and what he's trying to do that's why you tend to see well this would almost sound kind of ridiculous to say it this way you almost always see epilepsy pronounced epilepsy in children but even when you see it in adults guess what they were children at one point so it still goes through so in any time i see something that affects children predominantly automatically i hate it and i know it's a devil automatically why because only a devil would attack an innocent child right only a devil is that cruel and that evil and so i have no problem now when i deal with children that have uh demonic influences or situations going on then obviously i don't talk about devils and stuff to them and i don't have to why because the devil knows it's the devil i don't have to call you know if i talk to you i'm going to say excuse me human human excuse me i don't have to do that you know you're a human right i don't have to call you a human so if i talk to this this thing that's bothering this person i don't have to call it what it is especially if it's a child because i don't want to you know children can have ideas and it can scare them and so we move away from that so i i a lot of times you just tell them listen i'm fixing to i might get loud i might sound kind of angry but i'm not talking to you i'm i'm talking to what's bothering you and when i get done you're not gonna be bothered anymore and i explained that to him and i said so don't you don't pay any attention to anything i'm saying because i'm not talking to you right and so then whenever i deal with that thing i tend to get loud and sometimes i'll even leave the room and i'll go to another room and deal with that thing in that child why because i don't have to be in the presence for them to be free and that way i can get as loud as i want to and get as mean as i want to and it's not going to scare the child amen why because god is that big he can set somebody free from another room amen all right so let's look at the rest of this now as i said dr sumrall was a an expert witness and we're going to show you something in just a minute also but in every country that we have been in we have dealt with demonic entities uh you know demons and people demons and animals uh we we have dealt with these things and we've seen them and i really want to emphasize though we must okay look i'm not saying that when science says this is why this disease is here or what it's doing i'm not arguing with that i agree that disease is there it's doing that okay what i disagree with necessarily is maybe how it got there or what started that see they only start with the symptom i go past the symptom and go back to the to the root and the root is the devil it's always the devil amen i don't care what it is now that doesn't mean there's always a spirit with every sickness it doesn't mean there's not there can and there may not be it just depends on the individual circumstances but here's what i know we have dealt with this in every country and in every people and i've had people when i was in um actually i was in tanzania and in kenya whenever i had a woman speak to me in perfect texan not english texan i'm talking about y'all you know yonder things like that right i'm talking texan and this woman spoke only swahili the pastor knew it he i mean he knew her and he knew she couldn't speak english and let alone texas right and so but she spoke to me in perfect texan and then i grabbed her and cast the devil out of her and she couldn't understand me anymore but she could whenever she had a devil amen so it shows that there is a spirit aspect that was there now we were in germany and we had a situation we got the the video ready for that if they will show you this happened in germany it's very short it wasn't planned obviously that's not germany that's a shield germany will be coming up momentarily tick tock no not that one waiting still waiting don't tell me the prince of the power of the air did something let me keep going five minutes all right okay well we'll keep going for five minutes set your timer okay okay now so the subject of spiritual warfare warfare between the kingdom of god and darkness is real the war is carried out against humanity and against god's people especially throughout the bible we see that the enemy we face is the devil and his agents known generally as demons the word demon is not the king james as i said instead the word used is the word devil there's one devil but many demons technically the word translated as devil in the king james version is the greek word demonian right which is texan for greek if you just translate that out now the word used for satan is usually diabolos or diabolos it means adversary false accuser slanderer and devil in 76 places in scripture so this is not some small little thing it is in 76 different places where the word devil or devils is found it is used to refer to evil spirits or demons now listen carefully listen carefully the devil satan the devil not demons but the devil has an angelic body and cannot enter bodily into anyone so anytime it talks about the devil the devil not a devil but the devil or satan um or a person or entering into somebody it does not mean he bodily entered into it means he entered they entered into union together in other words he entered in by influence and convinced them to do or say something does that make sense because he has a body now it appears and i say appears that demons do not have bodies hence that's why they want to possess a body so that they have movement because they generally are relegated to only what they can do through a body now the body can be a body of a human or an animal right or or a bird i guess if you don't want to classify a bird as an animal but one of those you generally one of those two things now and well there's so many there's so far we can go on these things but i'm trying to hone it in today just to give you kind of some basic facts and understanding now um yeah so first we're going to talk about the nature of demons all right now this is their nature this is their character remember this and i'm not gonna give you all the scriptures we'll be here all day but i will go through them and there may be some scriptures i bring out number one they are evil first off number two they are intelligent in other words they think they plan and generally they are smarter than most humans do you understand that smarter in the sense of information and especially smarter at manipulation and deceiving and things like that okay number next okay they are powerful you can find that in mark chapter five verse one they possess men or people and can be cast out they are individuals right they have knowledge they get well before we go to the next one they got the video ready we're going to play the video this was in germany this was not expected this is what happened in a prayer line go ahead [Applause] [Music] that's him afterwards we followed him on through uh it took four men to even try to hold him down and they couldn't really hold him down but we got over to him cast the devil out of him and then at the end of service uh they he the man that's the man that brought him that man picked the man on the right picked him up and brought him to the service because he knew he had problems and so he brought him to the service and then after he got free uh asked if we could meet and so we got a chance to meet uh to meet with him and so but that that is just a mild situation where it starts to manifest but didn't do anything uh he was in the healing line and didn't do anything until we started using the name of jesus and when we got there and started saying uh well actually what i did was i prayed that he would be free and be made whole i had no idea what the situation was then that started recently as i've told y'all uh the other the other day while we were in minneapolis uh people came to us afterwards uh there were two women that came to us afterwards after the service one night during the healing line uh tom scarely no that was good no but um thomas gorilla was ministering to people he called me up to help me or to have me help him minister and i went over on one side was ministering to people and then these two ladies came up or one lady come up first and describe situations going on with her and said she need to be free and it was a horrible situation been going a long time and as i began to and i was just standing there and i said okay and i was going to hold her hands i said no okay just hold your hands there and then i just all i do is simply get ready to set her free and then i explode on her and that was it it was just i'm standing there and i'm talking in the name of jesus you'll be free i'm going to set you free in jesus name right now we command the devil to leave we command all of his works to cease and then i just kind of grabbed her by the head and kind of moved forward and then i mean it was loud and bam hit and as soon as i turned loose she went straight down and was there and um then she got back up and she was completely free then the other woman that had come up uh came up and i started talking to her and this had been going on for a while with her and as i started at this at this point i didn't touch her i knew it was the devil and i started commanding her to be free and as i did that she started growling and saying some things and so but in me and i just got so mad and just all i did was stand there and i said cease cease shut your mouth and instantly she stopped and then i grabbed her and commanded the devil to come out and she fell and when she got back up she was completely free and she could tell she was free didn't even know exactly where she was and so we've had these situations uh go on we had the other situation probably heard me talk about it before uh where the i was opening day of a dht and i was praying and the woman came forward and started screaming and i hate you i hate you i hate you an oscar and i thought okay you know i knew she had a devil i mean anybody that hates me has to have a devil i mean what's not to love come on no i'm crying no but loved or hated but never ignored that's what i say you know either way but um i had somebody tell me that one time they said well you know i don't like you very much say well that's good neither does the devil you are friends so anyway so just leave it at that but we've had situations like that and that one was completely free and didn't even know where she was at when we got done so we've seen this on every continent i mean every every country we've gone to um but and i want to emphasize this we as a people we want to think we're smart and so when people give us reasons to to not believe the bible but to try to explain something we want to go with that a lot of times and you know what i'm just going to be honest with you because i mean i love studying i've read a lot of different things you know gaining knowledge wanting to know certain things and years ago and i probably told you this before also that i was watching the show house about the doctor that thinks out of the box kind of and i really liked the way he thought and that he was a little kind of rough and brusque and way down like i can identify with that so i'm you know i'm watching the show and then one day i came home off of a trip and so i started watching the show and as clearly as anything i heard god speak to me and he said if you keep watching this you're going to hurt your faith and so i paused it and stopped and said okay why he said because every show he has a natural answer for everything and he said and you're going to think that way and he said and you're going to start thinking when someone comes up to you for prayer you're going to think of the natural answer you know for that and he said that's not why people come to you and so he said you'll start thinking it's a natural answer when they're not always natural answers and now are there some natural yep to a degree some things can help but nothing beats the devil except jesus and his blood and his name amen that's the only thing that beats him now so i quit watching that now the thing is though because of that we tend to educate ourselves to a place where we move away from the from the bible and i have decided even recently redecided you might say i recommitted a lot in my own life there's a lot of things that i don't i'll just be honest i don't care i i there's things i don't care about going on in the world and stuff why because that that has it has nothing to do with why i'm here i'm here for a particular reason and let me tell you if faith in god can fix anything then i don't care about the reason and i don't care if it right i don't need to know all these details that the world wants us to know i would rather know nothing except christ crucified i'd rather know that i'd rather go back to that well you know you're gonna be close-minded you're not gonna look at this if need be if i if i have to block out natural knowledge so that i can walk in faith and get more people free i will do that i don't care about the knowledge amen amen so uh you know i'm just i'm seeing this stronger and stronger and so i'm focusing more and more and so i'm going to be saying some things that probably some people will but that's this or that's think what you want but remember if you're in my healing line what you know don't work for you so if you come to me you come for me to give you what i know to give you and that's what i'm going to do and what i know to give you is the name of jesus and faith in that name and and faith in god amen and so that's the direction i'm going so uh anyway i gotta move on here so go with me to james chapter two for this next point remember we're still talking about the character of demons james get over there there we go james chapter two and if i can find it here yes okay in uh look at verse 17. it says even so faith if it hath not works is dead being alone yea a man may say thou hast faith and i have works show me thy faith without thy works and i will show you my faith by my works look at verse 19 thou believeth that there is one god thou does well the devils also believe and tremble do you hear that devils believe and tremble which i always say that shows they're one-up on most christians why because at least they tremble christians believe and don't tremble but now there's a reason to believe because it's a it's a fearful thing to follow the hands of an all-consuming god amen to fall into his hands now you can walk into his hands that's one thing fall into his hand that's totally different and so demons believe in god and yet now get this okay get get ready to have some theology squashed if it's only believing that gets you saved every demon is saved because they believe amen that's the verse after you say you have faith and i say show me your works isn't it right but he said but i show you my faith by my works so when people say oh all you got to do is believe nope devils believe it don't get them saved so there are works that must accompany salvation believing for you to be saved do you understand that is that clear pretty simple isn't it yeah okay now so devils believe so if devils believe we have no excuse am i right if they can believe and they're evil you can believe right all right next one they fellowship there's there's talk in first corinthians chapter 10 in verse 20 it talks about the fellowship of demons right they have doctrines doctrines of devils the bible says first timothy 4 1 they have wills in other words whenever remember whenever jesus started to cast the demons out of the the boy they said oh send us to this these pigs that was their will they had a will and they wanted to go into the pigs right and now it which again shows you know they always say that pigs are smartest animals and they're real close to humans and how smart they are i think they're smarter in some ways because pigs wouldn't even live with the devil in them ran right off in the ocean right now witches or this either they have wheels they have not get this miraculous abilities demons have miraculous abilities and in revelation chapter 16 verses 13 through 16 you will see that they have the ability to do miraculous or wonderful works in that sense miraculous works they have emotions that's acts chapter 8 verse 7. they have desires that's in matthew 8 verse 28 through 31. so these do you do you see that they are why do they want to inhabit a human because they have so many human-like qualities and there's all kinds of debates on where what they are are they falling angels are they disembodied spirits are they different things okay i'm not getting into that today because that would be a whole thing by itself and that's not the purpose of this what you have to know is this number one in christ you have authority over them through the name of jesus end of story don't care where they come from you got that now but now let's look at the work of demons what do they do now this is just a bible list of what demons do so if you are going through this experiencing this or anything else this is the work of demons in your life do you get that it does not mean you're demon-possessed if you do these things yourself it doesn't mean possessed because possessed means owned but possession we talk about it on the spectrum of influence but a the more you allow influence the more that thing starts to own you that makes sense and so when you see it by the time dr sumrall gave seven steps or seven uh levels of influence or possession or demon influence we would say and it starts with just basically being oppressed even just the enemy is just oppressing you and making you feel a certain way or giving you certain attitudes and things like that just an oppression but it goes all the way up these steps up to full possession and now two things by the time you get to about level four after level four or roughly level five you generally can't get free by yourself up to up to level four you can free yourself you can get rid of that thing yourself level five and on you generally have to have somebody else help you somebody else has to come in because that thing has so much control over you that it even has control over your mind to the degree that you would even think you don't want to be free and you might even think that you are free when you're not and so now when you get to level six and level seven most of you will never meet a level six or level seven possessed person why because they by that time they have already done so much evil that they are usually locked up either in prison or in some type of mental institute so most people never deal with them policemen deal with them more than anybody else policemen and then of course uh mental health workers would also deal with them too and so but that is a person this is a person that jesus talked about what does it benefit you to gain the world and lose your soul because these are people that have lost their soul all right and generally their personality is completely submerged and the only personality that that you would encounter would be this demonic influence now there are times when it will imitate them or and there are times when they might be able to kind of get through and ask for help you can see that in the case when jesus saw the man when he come across the the sea there the man came running to him and fell down and worshiped him and the man demons didn't come running the man came running to him and then the demons said what have we got to do with you jesus in other words they didn't want to be there and they even said have you come to destroy us before the time so they know there's a time coming see they're smart enough to know there's a time coming and they were actually probably testing him because if he had said yes i'm here to destroy you now then that would have been before the time and that would have been wrong and then they would jesus would have lost the authority over them so there is a process all right does that make sense so now let's look and see what they do first thing they possess people and cause dumbness being mute not able to speak and deafness now you can also find reasons why a person can't hear or a person can't speak there can be physical reasons going on it does not mean that that was not caused by a demon it the the problem could be caused amen now and i'm not going to give you all the again all the scriptures for these i'm going to go through them they cause blindness right they cause grievous vexation now we'll give you that one matthew 15 22 so you can look that up they also couldn't remember if you're going through any of this or you know somebody that is it does not mean they are possessed it means they are at least under attack and it's and the way to get rid of it is to cast it out right they cause lunacy and quote-unquote mania right a manic situation they cause now get this one and this is by far the number one thing oh boy you're going to see this once i tell you they cause what's called uncleanness uncleanness 21 times in the new testament and that's out of 76 times total i think it is 21 times it says that a person had an unclean spirit and then if you look at that unclean spirit they're almost always unclothed almost always out of their mind always almost always loose usually sometimes they'll be in chains not people you would necessarily see but they would try to cut themselves and they tried and their their language is very foul okay now this is one reason why christians should have no corrupt communication coming out of your mouth corrupt communication means anything that does not bring life there's life and there's corruption anything that is that does not bring life is corruption and it is part and what it does now at that point you may not have an unclean spirit but if you keep having unclean words you are calling unclean spirits that situation now all of these other situation uncleanness falls under almost every sexual sin almost every sexual sin falls under uncleanness what we're seeing right now is widespread uncleanness in america where every sexual sin and aberration is being accepted to where now they're willing to actually allow people to marry animals seriously that these these laws are being enacted and passed right and so that is uncleanness and that goes into every type of basically every type of sexual sin so now uh and it's called unclean spirits and there's a lot more to it we'll probably have to break some of these things down at some point but just not today next they cause supernatural strength and that is particular you can see the case in the video we showed you but is also the case with jesus where it said that the man was in the caves constantly crying screaming out and think about this this was just outside the city he was in a cave which meant that it echoed forward into the city so these people could hear him in the in the city they could hear him out in this cave crying yelling screaming and he had an unclean spirit which means he was saying foul things we had a situation in canada where i started cast out a devil i had this boy and he fell down the floor and you may have heard to me let me tell the story how you kind of crawled around the floor and slithered like a snake and pretty much crawled out of his clothes for the most part and so he when he hit when his head hit the platform he turned like a snake and slithered down the side and so we had to stop him and started commanding that thing to come out and any time uh really not with the men but anytime a woman would would come near or anything like that he would say foul things to her and so every time he did we just you shut your mouth in the name of jesus and then he would stop and then another woman would pass by in a few minutes not even nearby but just passing by and he would start saying these foul things and finally we had a quick thinking uh deacon there that had a bottle of oil and every time he had started foul stuff it blew right in his mouth and it blew a little bit he couldn't say anything anointing anointing oil has several purposes all right so you know and i'm like that's good that's smart thinking hey just shut him right up there you go so you know his olive oil ain't gonna hurt him right so now but it can cause supernatural strength and it says that this man was in these tombs crying night and day cutting himself and men had tried to chain him and hold him but nobody no chains could hold him supernatural strength next one suicide they cause suicide right now i'm not saying that if a person commits suicide they were demon-possessed and therefore they go to hell that's not true i'm not i'm not saying that the person didn't go to hell i'm just saying that because they commit suicide didn't necessarily cause them to go to hell does that make sense so now they cause fits fits okay like epilepsy things like that they cause these things they cause lust right strong um i can say strong desires that cannot be uh satisfied yeah that's it so if in and these it can be in different areas see most people think of lust in the sense of the sexual area it's not just that it's anything uh covetousness is lust right and that can be brought on by demonic spirits so they cause counterfeit worship counterfeit worship think about that they cause error in thinking in teaching in uh believing okay they cause according to matthew 4 23 and 24 and acts 10 38 they cause sicknesses and diseases okay they cause torment they cause deceptions these are all the works of demons they cause lying they cause enchantments in witchcraft they cause heresies they cause false doctrines which could lead to heresies they cause wickedness they cause fear any of these things if you're experiencing any of these things that i'm naming out here we will be glad to minister to you at the end and set you free but i will tell you this once we set you free as per the nine o'clock you got to stand and not allow what you were doing before that gave way to that stuff okay i'll tell you another one yoga if you do yoga you need to be set free you have the influence of demons in your life it's that simple right there is no person that does yoga that does not have the influence of demons in their life right it is a false religious practice of false idols and false devils or false gods right so and people well i do christian yoga no such thing okay no such thing uh they cause now get this one they cause worldliness a christian that's very worldly is under the influence of demons that's first john 2 15 to 17 and first corinthians 2 12. they cause bondage romans 8 15 they cause discord right that's why unity and being in one accord is so important they cause violence they can be very violent they cause betrayals they cause oppression they cause sin and if a person moves into sin that the demonic entity sees what you're drawn toward and that then they will present you with the temptation for that right so they cause persecution they cause jealousy they cause false prophecy right they literally cause every evil to try to come to man for the purpose of hitting at god right because they want man to be as evil as possible so that so that it makes god sad i mean i know that's very basic but it's just so that it gets to god because there's nothing that gets to god like you hitting his kids just like any good parent amen so demons can do these things they can teach they can steal they can fight they can get mad they can tell fortunes they can be friendly and attached to families also known as familiar spirits okay they can go out and come back in until they are cast out now if they're cast out then they have to be accepted to come back in but if they're not cast out and they leave that's why many times the problem you have doesn't come to church with you i'm not talking about your spouse or your mother-in-law okay i'm not talking about that okay i'm talking about whatever ailment or situation you had going on in your life that situation knew that if it stayed with you and you got in the line and we cast it out it can't go back unless you accept it but if you have it and it leaves and then you come down and we pray or whatever and we do what we do and then you go home it can come back in so many times as you're telling me the situation i'm hitting the real problem and not the problem you're telling me about that's why when we see a situation like that we cast it out then it's up to you to decide whether you're going to let it back in or not because it may it'll come back it'll try to come back in it will come back in but this time it does not have free access because it has been cast up now it has to convince you to do whatever was you were doing before that let it in the first time right because according to bible the curse doesn't come without a cause in other words meaning you don't have a problem without some you know put it this way there's no reaping unless you've been sewing right and if you sow to the flesh you will love the flesh reap destruction and that's how these things come does this make sense to you okay so hopefully you're aware that's what i'm wanting to do i want you to be aware that there as as we have angels all around us there are also demons that try to get to you but we outnumber them at least two to one at least two to one amen and so we're good in that but all god is doing he's waiting to see which one you're going to listen to you got an angel standing there saying no be strong and then you've got a demon saying nah go ahead do it it'll matter go ahead go ahead you know and so you have to decide which way you're going to go because you're the deciding factor now so uh it can they can imitate the dead usually familiar spirits will also imitate the dead and they will many times familiar spirits will go from a dead a departed loved one that possibly had succumbed to influence and if a child is born just before that person dies many times that spirit will go to that child in that family if that family is not living for god living for god being right with god being born again is the only true defense do you get that so those things are there now uh demons can travel obviously they go walking about in dry places so we know they can travel they speak they spoke to jesus many times and they do many other things when in possession of bodies through whom they can operate they are called devils familiar spirits unclean spirits evil spirits and even seducing spirits which gives you an idea of what they can do they are made subject to christ and believers by the redemption that jesus provided by the name of jesus and by the holy spirit and i can give you all these scriptures what i'll try to do is have them put on the church website and we'll just load this up so you can go down through it to be an excellent study for life teams also thousands thousands of demons can enter into and take possession of one person at the same time thousands we know that from the story of legion with jesus right thousands now they must be discerned tested resisted and rejected by believers right he tells us to test the spirits we're told to discern amen and we're told to reject they have more than ordinary intelligence they have a personality they are satan's emissaries they are numerous they enter into people and animals to control them to do their will demon possession and demon influence are different things as we've already talked about demons know their fate and they know those who have power over them as we see uh whenever the seven sons of skiva tried to cast out devils jesus we know paul we know who are you so it shows they know who has authority over them now they fear god as we know from james we already read it they inflict physical problems and illnesses and according to ephesians chapter 6 verses 10 through 18 they make war on the saints they influence people okay all now listen carefully all unbelievers are more or less influenced or possessed by them all unbelievers why they have no defense now i will admit many unbelievers are so living so nothing lives that even the devils don't mess with them much because there's no need to right most of them already have the character of satan because they have his nature and so they're just they're already living out satan's will to their limited influence and so many of them don't even need demons to do satan's will do you understand what i mean by that now uh christian resources against him were primarily prayer self-control and the whole armor of god as we read at the beginning there are demons now listen carefully there are demon spirits for every sickness for every unholy trait or characteristic and for every doctrinal error right there's a demon pushing that they must be cast out to get relief from them now i'm not again i don't have time to go into this but diseased germs are really living forms of corruption okay and though that comes into the bodies of people because we live in a fallen corrupt world you understand but that does not mean that these diseased germs it's almost like as you breathe there are water particles in your breath and this may sound real simplistic but diseased germs are like that in the sense that they are just simply the breath of demons okay just think in terms of that now i mean please don't make that some weird thing all right and especially now with masks everywhere and get it yeah it's got a demon demons coming no no no no go spread your demons somewhere else no don't be saying that to people right but you just need to know that demons are real they hate you they would listen they don't necessarily want you dead especially if you're a christian they only want you dead if you're a christian if you're really doing damage against satan's kingdom if you're not they want you to live sick defeated why because you're a walking billboard for the fact that god can't keep his promise and so they would much rather keep you alive and defeated than have you die they're also parasitic they live off of your energy so they don't want you to die the problem is just like parasites they find a good host they'll overwhelm you to the point where you eventually die now they got to go find somebody else that's how sickness and disease happens right and that's what spirits of infirmity do a spirit of infirmity opens the door for many other spirits to come in and usually you end up having to cast out so listen bottom line remember you have we are not to fear anything especially a defeated enemy like satan and his demons we have authority over them we can speak in the name of jesus and they will obey now they will try to convince you they don't have to but you have to decide before you ever open your mouth how this is going to end and it's going to end with that person or yourself being free amen yeah so finally yes finally just as garbage breeds maggots so man in his fallen state of corruption breeds germs through unclean living and through contact with corruption in a fallen world it's the same way that it works okay having willful contact and or communication with demon spirits is strictly forbidden in both testaments old and new right that means no fortune tellers no psychic hotline listen if you go to fortune tellers listen to fortune tellers even if it's a joke even if you think ouija boards things like that you say ah demons you do things demons like guess what you get demons that's the way it works right you are a servant of whoever you serve and whenever and if you're just playing with something like that whether you're playing with tarot cards or there's all kinds of little things like that that the enemy uses and i don't know if you've noticed or not but lately if you go to a bookstore used to what was hidden is now on every end cap about witchcraft spells everything it's all out there about and it's all the stuff and and it's usually right next to the um self-improvement you know section and which is a total lie anyway but you need to realize you start messing with any of this stuff okay as as we used to say uh knock on wood okay that is a form of superstition that was meant originated to scare away demons right things like that you say well that's just a minor minor thing yeah and it's the little things that add up and so your life should be clean it should be holy it should be right amen and if you're right and clean and holy before god you can use the name of jesus and defeat every spirit i don't care all the way down from the little imps that are nothing all the way up to principalities it makes no difference amen why because greater is he that's in you than he that is in the world amen all right father we thank you your word is absolutely true we thank you father that we are commanded not to fear and we thank you for that command because we know if you command it then we know we can do it and we know that you will empower us to do it so we can live free of fear we can live now free of fear of even of satanic influence because we we have caught this thief and we make him restore and repay meaning that he has no influence in our life and we are watchful that we're not ignorant of his devices but we know how he functions and so we can watch and we can cut these things off and say nope not in my life so father we thank you they're right now in the name of jesus you give us peace you've given us power you've given us not a spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind the mind of jesus so father we thank you for this and i thank you right now for the ability to share your word and to expose your enemy so that your people can win every battle and quench every fiery dart by their shield of faith in the name of jesus amen amen amen all right well amen and so now if you if you do not need ministry you are of course free to go uh but if you do need ministry hopefully you'll fill out the cards and then uh what's going to happen is our brother off neil is going to organize that and we will minister to you and set you free so today especially obviously sickness and disease of course we always want to deal with that anyway if you have found yourself um in in bondage or under attack to fear and loathing the things you know you're just kind of afraid of things going on and if you think that maybe you have some of the characteristic traits that are going on that are caused by demons and want to be free we want to set you free amen because you can be free jesus died so you can be free and what what better day to experience freedom than on july 4th amen amen so amen so
