Jet power! Quad-turbo 2JZ Silvia is back

here today at Caroline racing in Tochigi it's about an hour and a half away from Tokyo this is the workshop that belongs to the guy who built that double-double turbocharged s 14 you might have seen in a previous video now his workshop is out here in the lovely countryside of Kijiji surrounded by dairy farms and rice paddies but then there's this sort of thing here now this place is wait wait until you see the sort of stuff he's gotten here oh look there's a Ferrari f40 just rotting under some car parts just kidding it's actually a Pontiac Fiero bodykit ok this is this is Taco door he's the guy who owns this place and also the owner of that s14 and basically all this stuff you see here that's what I said he's probably enjoying car life more than anyone else I know not only does he have drifts he does grip rally also with these younger brother as well they have a lot of fun it seems yeah good job so just have a quick look around here because there's some pretty cool stuff I really don't know where to start so most of these cars belong to its customers because he does have a business here that he runs a modifying cars and that sort of thing at the s13 Silvia GT car this is a Porsche here with the rudest wing I've ever seen in my life there's a fairly big mix here of street style cars drift cars rally cars as well must be nice to have a space this big here in Japan to be able to put all this stuff on so plenty of cool stuff here he saw me looking at this one he wants to show me what's under the bonnet Wow okay that's a big engine for a car that it didn't look like it had that engine ng or you just think she took it there are two bean noodle can or cannot Nintendo logic notice this is an RB 26 stroke to 2.7 liter and it's also been moved back in the engine bay about 20 centimeters it's bit hard to see but I like this it's got a really really old-school pneumatic boost controller and they'd turn that knob there and turn the boost up you don't really see too many s twelves in Japan anymore but here's one alright so I was just about to walk out and get in my car and go home and he said oh I thought you might want to see this it's a jet engine alright so he just has a t-33 engine here under a tarp put it all sort of smelly this guy alright so jet-powered car coming to a circuit in Japan someday soon alright just when you thought it couldn't get any worse Tucker Oh makes it worse okay equals a dare and all jet engine cackle no spinnin there you go muscle to me Tacoma shop so there you have it he wants to see this this is what people sort of don't understand like when when when people watched the s14 video right they all sort of said why do you do why does he just put one turbo on why does he you know want to make four turbos it he's the kind of guy who just wants to try stuff and I think you know we can all understand that feeling so all right we're back in decoy circuit it's about a week later after I shot that last video I'm being cheeky and doing an oil change on the van in the car park while I'm here type perl has finished the car it's here right now in the pit and we're going to see if this time he manages to get it to boost up on those quad servers or not okay 100 trucks get a Hodgkin confiscate a Shidoshi no registro turbo Totino's Kemosabe profitable avocado Quechua a kooky Renault camino para su jinenji mas que porra de - pabu stockade a man even agree on deck no pero como se yo vengo de muchacha neo credo muchacha mark and profit are most welcome Xavier he attacks the indominus Eugene Onegin it was a horrible day suppose you talk to Antonio say the implacable people walk their talk and we are today you tell me [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] all right [Laughter] [Music] Oh what [Music] [Music] [Music] yeah [Music] [Applause] [Music] so once again to the addictive and to see a a base or the temple fair play stage deserving Dortmund fall and equally double double throttle body that we said before infinite it could be sub 1 which by the hey Vitaly and it is amazing itself idea what accelerator done time at the Honda boy those guys month so once again unfortunately some mechanical gremlins and lack of time in preparation the car not performing as well as maybe it should or they can give it one good hit demonstrate and it sounded amazing with like you know for turbo spooling upper one hopefully we'll be able to see it again anyways thanks for watching Ella scenic [Music] please yeah all good - co-pilot you hit yep ok you know just jump on eBay and get myself a jet engine

4 turbos, handle controlled secondary throttle body, more gauges than the space shuttle, and a jet engine pointed up for downforce.

I <3 compound turbos, but there's no way he can use two t88s worth of boost with those tires. His ecu should be able to manage an electronic secondary throttle too.

When they started driving it I was thinking to myself what a genius this guy must be to get it tuned correctly and running right, and then the problems started. Still, not many people could pull that off.
