heaven's hosts or heaven's armies you are the mighty lord and so right now i ask that you would charge our hearts and charge this place with the reality of your tangible presence let nothing else matter to us but you in jesus name i pray father that as i preach your gospel that hearts which feel your love your word says to teach us to number our days do it lord let eternity be more real than momentary pleasure tonight come holy spirit and wave your sickle bring jesus a mighty harvest tonight say amen in jesus name oh wow hallelujah hallelujah i want to talk to you tonight about the love of god i'm going to read a quick passage from matthew 19. i've been reading mother vesselia's book here a bit smile for him go to matthew 19 verses 16 through 22 and just stay with me here i want everyone absolutely focused there's nothing more important than a man's soul a woman's soul matthew 19 16 now behold one came and said to him good teacher what good things shall i do that i might have eternal life so he said to him why do you call me good no one is good but one that is god that was jesus's way of saying if you're going to call me good you better call me god but if you want to enter into life keep the commandments he said to him which ones jesus said you shall not murder you shall not commit adultery you shall not steal you shall not bear false witness honor your father and your mother and you shall love your neighbor as yourself the young man said to him all these things i've kept from my youth what do i still lack jesus said to him if you want to be perfect go sell what you have and give it to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven and come and follow me but when the young man heard that saying he went away sorrowful for he had great positions later it tells us that jesus loved this young man the greek word is a deep pulling longing love a passionate love a pursuing love i've been blown away lately by the reality that jesus left the throne of heaven to come and be born in a manger made for animals what type of love is this what type of humility is this that god almighty would run to our rescue say thank you jesus this is amazing love i want to share two stories that are true they both happened in my family and they have to do with the way two different family members transitioned into eternity one was my grandmother the other was my uncle we grew up in a very uh traditional which is not bad family we were very committed to our local church which is clearly not bad but nobody had ever simply shared the gospel with us so at the age of 12 right here in this city i heard the gospel for the first time as a little boy my father-in-law was preaching i had epstein-barr disease i had been in bed for the good part of a year and my cousin who was a greek priest had been filled with the holy spirit after reading good morning holy spirit when his son was filled with the holy spirit he spoke perfect aramaic and began to quote the entire chapter entire chapters of the book of isaiah his father the greek priest actually took him to the synagogue and asked the rabbi what's going on here he said your greek son is speaking aramaic and quoting the book of isaiah now one thing i can tell you about our family is that we didn't speak aramaic how many of you know most of your cousins don't speak uh ancient aramaic this was a great wonder in our family and that same priest brought me here to this city to forest city road what was the address 7601 forest city road orlando christian center and i walked in and heard the gospel i felt for the second time in my life the jesus that i had heard about in the bible i felt him in the room how many of you feel jesus tonight in the room how many of you would agree that it feels a little different in here than it does at a theme park may it be that all the theme parks feel this way god can do that as well that would be a miracle i probably still wouldn't go so that night i heard the gospel i saw people healed i saw a skin irritation disappear off of a lady's arm in the road behind me i heard devils leaving during worship i saw people throwing up during worship i know you're supposed to do that during worship i prefer that you don't do that here unless you have to we can help you out and after that first worship set my father-in-law pastor benny took the platform and he said if you want to know the jesus that we've been singing to come and give him your life tonight and that's exactly what i did i ran down gave my heart to jesus that night and took my bible back home with me underlined everything in in that bible i didn't even know what it meant you know you're in love with jesus when you underline the genealogies at 12. you don't even know what they mean but they feel right they move your heart may we all start reading the scriptures with our hearts rather than our brains and so i went home i take my bible out walk through greek town where i grew up and preached the gospel the best i knew how my technique wasn't so great i hadn't been trained so i would start off by telling people they were going to hell it was true but maybe there's a better lead-in i started with my aunt who at the time was probably 68 or 69 years old i said thea that's the greek word for ant in greek i said you need to give your life to jesus i'll never forget it we were sitting over the the the dinner table and she goes oh really and why is that i said because you're going to go to hell and she said well she said what did you just say i said you're going to go to hell she said how can you say that to me i said because i had my bible i said because the bible says you're going to go to hell if you don't give your life to jesus she said wha well what do you think i am i said a sinner i was just 12. she said if you call me a sinner one more time i'll slap the lips right off your face so i backed off and discovered the power of praying for the lost oh man i'd take my little bible walk through greek town and just preach the gospel then i started to pray for family and they were slow to come slow to come to jesus anybody there right now anybody ever been there okay and so for years for maybe uh 15 years no i would say no sorry eight to nine years we prayed for my grandmother to truly give her life to jesus she was a wonderful woman but at the time she had not put all of her hope and trust in the lord himself and how many of you know that our own righteousness is a filthy rag in comparison to the to god's perfection and so my mom and dad started a little church in a town called tarpon springs florida they met in a little uh trailer like a double-wide it seemed almost like a classroom trailer a modular unit and one day my grandmother showed up to church by that time her her knees were not so good she she couldn't walk very well she needed a cane or a walker i remember that and my dad was preaching the gospel my dad had been gloriously saved my dad had walked in to a meeting like this in 1999 i believe i had been saved for about a year my dad had told my mother if you take my kids back to that crazy church in orlando one more time i will divorce you and so my mom said have you ever gone a night without food my mom's greek she can throw down he said no are your clothes wrinkled no do you ever have dirty clothes no do i keep a clean house yes have i ever denied you no there's one thing you're not taking from me jesus [Applause] said you can have it all i'm not i am not leaving jesus for you now i'm not saying she should have taken me or not but it worked out okay so i said ma you got to get me back to orlando because there's some i was at 12 years old i was begging my mother to drive me three hours each way and we did it twice a week 10 a.m service we got in that line we got in line at eight to get into the ten and then my father-in-law likes to say that he never had a service over two hours i'm like you never i preached a message shorter than two hours bub trust me they went to two he goes no no no never never had a one short longer than two hours mikey i go okay bob if that if that it maybe felt like two hours to you but trust me the 10 a.m would end at two we'd run to shonies just up the road here remember shoni's we get in line shoni's is the pentecostal marriage supper did we get to shoni's go to the buffet eat the popcorn shrimp the mac and cheese as fast as we could get back in line back in line by 3 30 for the six o'clock wait all afternoon run to our seats just to be in the presence of god you know god's moving when your kids are begging you to drive them three hours not to the youth service to be in god's presence i feel that same glory it's the same fragrance it's the same gentle jesus so my mom took me my dad found out he went to that greek priest he said are you going up to benny's service to that crazy church my cousin the greek priest said i am you're he said did my kids and my wife go up there father he said yeah they have he said i am driving there i have the papers ready i am driving to orlando to serve evelyn the divorce papers in the building so my dad drove up and my father my cousin the priest said look before before you divorce her before you give her those papers can we just have a talk on the way up there i don't think the talk worked very well so i was on the second row right down there kind of like right where jordan is and i was worshiping jesus and my cousin nudged me he goes bro we got a problem we were singing alleluia most likely most likely i said what's the problem i was caught up in glory like how there are no problems in god's presence he goes your dad just walked in i go we got a pro we got a proper i didn't know anything about binding and losing or running i said my dad just came i kept my eyes closed he goes yeah where is he he goes walking toward you so then my cousin moved and my dad sat right next to me so i didn't even look at him i was like straight up oh god though he slay me yay will i trust him and he happened to walk in right before the miracle started and the people were coming up to testify of their miracle and my dad started mocking god he said that's not real people started falling under the power of god he said that's not real and then he told the lord right there in the second row as a lady walked up a young woman with her one-year-old baby she was in her 20s he said god if this is real let that when benny prays for the lady let her not react if he prays for the baby the one-year-old i know that baby can't fake it let the baby react to the power of god and so my father-in-law prayed for the mom and the mom just kind of stared at him nothing happened and then he touched a little baby just a little baby on the mom like her the baby's head was on the mom's shoulder he touched that little baby's head and when he did the baby's head fell to the side and when the baby's head fell to the side my dad went flying through the air in the second row slammed into the pew while i i'm like i have my hands raised and i'm like it looked like he got shot by a sniper he his back smashed into the pew you have to understand my dad was on the board of our cathedral my dad was in the military my dad went to law school this is not the kind of guy that you think would just shake rattle and roll he flew in to the pew slid under the pew and started hyperventilating oh man i was afraid to look but i had to part of me was grateful part of me was like that's what you get that is exactly what you deserve that's what you needed it's exactly what you needed he was down there for an hour sobbing shaking under the power of god he stood up after an hour lifted his hands and said said jesus i give you my life tonight receive my life he was born again right there in the second row and then he looked at the whole family and repented and said forgive me for what i've done my life belongs to jesus now come on give the lord praise fast forward that same father my dad planted a church the guy who was resisting all of a sudden became a pastor jesus gets the last word i said jesus gets the last word and so in that service my dad was preaching the gospel my grandmother had come in with her cane my dad preached the same gospel i'm gonna preach tonight and when he made the altar call all of a sudden i looked over my right shoulder and my my 80 probably i don't know two three-year-old grandmother i could hear her cane shaking on that mod floor and it took her i don't know how long and i think she was the only one that day to give her life to jesus and it took minutes and she didn't care because she discovered what i tell you every week we don't come to the altar we come to jesus and he's worth the walk i said he's worth the walk and so i watched her get saved that night that day a few years later jesse and i had met our wedding was approaching i got a phone call saying yaya that's that's grandmother in greek yaya's not doing well you need to get home when i got home it was clear to me that she was going to transition into heaven and that was the first time i got to be with someone for days before their transition and just before she passed the entire family was gathered around her we were worshiping the lord we were singing this was three weeks before my wedding and just before she passed in that wonderful atmosphere she sat up and started pointing to different probably to angels that's what the scriptures teach that the angels receive us into glory on that day and she began to point and all of a sudden she sat up and said i love my family as she was in between heaven and earth she laid back down and ultimately went on to be with jesus in the glory of god that's the power of jesus when the scripture says upon this rock jesus i will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail it doesn't mean what we think that means it actually means the gates of hell are the gates of death not us running around trying to conquer every city though that's okay in a way that scripture is pointing to the gospel being so powerful that the gates of hell the gates of death themselves cannot stop jesus in your life job speaks of the gates and they speak of death jesus has conquered death that's a glorious way to go then i have another family member an uncle named bob jesse and i were married i got a call from my brother my mom and dad my uncle bob had come down with cancer i believe in the lungs and my mom and dad were with him my brother was still living in florida at the time jess and i were living in dallas as it became clear that he was going to pass away my family stayed with him in the hospital and my mom and dad day after day day after day begged my uncle to receive jesus to hear the gospel because they knew he was going to pass and he would say things like this i was born a catholic i am going to die a catholic don't tell me about your jesus now let me say clearly there are many jesus loving catholics all over the world he could not see jesus day after day my parents would say bob come on the hour's approaching don't you understand what the scripture says what good is it for a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul so my brother went in to visit and he said uncle bob can i pray for you he said no get away from me he was so bitter about his sickness and so my brother called me and i wrote jess we'll remember a four letter from dallas spelling out the clearest declaration of the gospel i knew to give and i wrote it out and i fedexed it to his wife my aunt and i said get i overnighted it and i said get this to uncle bob immediately next day she got it and she said michael wrote a letter to you from dallas please read it she went to give it to him he batted it away he said i don't want to hear about that jesus again so my brother went to him again in person he said uncle bob please just hear the gospel receive jesus and my uncle kicked him out he said get out of this room i want you to hear the mercy of god how many opportunities did my uncle have how many did god give him to secure his eternity and so my brother was kicked out of the room he was walking down the hall in the hospital listen to the mercy of the lord and the holy spirit said are you going to give up that easy this is after weeks are you going to give up that easy go back in and tell him again friend let me tell you something nobody will stand before the throne and if they miss heaven nobody will point at god and say it was your fault christ has made a full payment jesus has paid the price my brother went back in he said uncle bob god just sent me back in this is hours before he's dying before his death uncle bob please hear what i have to say he said get away from me with this jesus so my brother left either that day or a few days later my parents were around the table or the bed in the hospital and death began to set in and all of a sudden this moment came when my uncle be sat up over the last few minutes of his life and began to punch listen to me and kick and scream and tried to defend himself as the devils of hell came for him he began to fight and the hospice nurse ran in and she said i've witnessed i think it was 500 or more deaths she said i can tell he doesn't know the lord i've done this for years she said quick let's just sing a worship song to ease it to ease the suffering so he began to sing amazing grace and he'd stop fighting and then he started fighting again they'd worship again and he saw he did not receive jesus and to my deepest pain i can only tell you what my parents saw with their eyes that he transitioned into eternity fighting the very devil that jesus had defeated my grandmother went to be with jesus in glory and in peace my uncle transitioned fighting the demons of hell why are you speaking this way because the hour is too late to play games with your soul with every head about an eye closed jesus has made full provision your eternity has been paid for jesus said on the cross it is finished there is nothing in this world worth your soul there is no reason to leave tonight wondering if you're truly born again there is no reason to leave tonight choosing something that does not bring life only jesus himself brings life i want you right now to ponder your eternity ponder the security of your soul peter said make your election sure all of us will either close our eyes one day or behold the lord in the sky and for those who've given him our entire lives for those who received him and his work on the cross and the precious blood we will experience jesus as a loving bridegroom for those of us who've lived in the world and given jesus a little shot but chosen the world day in and day out we will not meet him as a bridegroom but as a righteous judge [Music] and in our own merit we will stand guilty jesus has made provision friends if you want to give jesus your life tonight or you want to recommit your life to jesus tonight whatever that sounds like i really don't care i just want you to obey the holy spirit right now i want you to lift your hand you say i am not gambling with my soul i want to give my life to jesus i want everyone to stand please please if you raised your hand or you wish you did i want you to come forward immediately right now get down here right now get down here if you came with somebody listen who you know needs jesus you know in your heart come on you know in your heart they need jesus i want you to look him in the eye and say come on i'll take you down there you know you need to give your life to jesus look they're coming come on come give your life to jesus come on thank you lord i want you to look that person in the eye right now and do the work of an evangelist you do the work of an evangelist say look do you need to get down here kids if while i'm speaking you feel like you need to give your life to jesus i to be free listen if you need to be free from sin tonight you come and give your heart to jesus he will set you free you are you do not have to remain a slave jesus and the power of his blood will that that was exactly what the cross was for even if it's a five-year-old boy a seven-year-old boy girl puts her hand up and says yes jesus i'll give you my life all of heaven right now is rejoicing way more than we are i mean they are rejoicing like crazy over what just happened then over every life every single life it's pretty easy right now to do the offering because you realize what we're giving to we're giving to the king who's gave given us everything but i'm a little bit out of it i'm sorry that just really hit my spirit seeing these boys give the life to god i'm shaking actually and i don't usually do that i just feel a little bit of the reverence of god on the way here um i'm so sorry guys i'm usually good at uh holding things together but like i'm shaking and i just feel the fear of the lord and the reverence of god and i just think that things are much more eternal and much more real than we think they are sometimes we think we're in church really we're seated with christ in heavenly places the things that are happening are eternal they're significant they're important they're of great importance every person's life that was just committed to the lord is a new life that is eternally sealed in the blood of the lamb a new creation i mean to give to something i used to give so much money to the world i gave everything i had to drinking to i gave everything i had i would never hold back when it came to buying an extra drink that cost eight dollars i would never hold back to when it came to having that last cocktail or last shot of vodka i would never hold back there you know i i i find it strange sometimes when we wrestle in our heart with god he's so faithful he's so life-changing life-giving and he's given everything and i'm just struggling right now man my heart is like i'm my heart is thumping bro i'm so sorry like i i just uh i i i think that that we need to understand the hour we're in the focus of the hour is the lord and it is the gospel there's no other reality that will change people and those children right now all of heaven they look back on that cross they look back on the lamb the work that he did for the regeneration of a human soul to become one with god what greater thing is there what greater thing is there to give to it shouldn't be that we need offering messages we should have to someone should say it's offering time and people should run to the front and say i've got it all to give just show me the bucket we shouldn't have to be convinced when heaven became bankrupt for our life for a little boy like that to be made new we shouldn't be convinced real hard but i'll tell you what god said to me on the way here i just drove from jacksonville now i said lord because i can preach to you from many different angles i can hit the ball from many angles here on the offering messages i can bring up scripture to you that would convince you it's the right thing to do and i said lord your streets are paved with gold what is the offering we give when i when i give a tithe what does it do for you and the lord spoke clearly to me in the car he said it communicates you trust me it communicates that you trust when i say that there'll be you won't even have enough storehouses test me in this when i say show me your tithe and i'll show you my faithfulness this is the trust we give to god when we give him our money and what is money it's not a little note you have it's time it's intimate time that you spent to earn that money so you're giving god a sacrifice of your time you're putting the time that you spent to earn that money into the hand of god and it's a trust thing and i said that's amazing god and immediately i thought of this scripture in psalm 37 it says i was young and now i'm old yet i have never seen this is david talking yet i've never seen a righteous man forsaken or his seed begging bread ever david could say and all the psalmist could say all those who wrote the word of god anybody who put their trust in the lord anyone who lived that way was never forsaken never have you gone a day where you have forsaken could you put your hand up in this room if you ever remember a day where you were forsaken where you didn't have enough there's no hands he said to me that communicates trust when you give your tenth when you give your tithe to me and so i asked him another question because i started to think of all these scriptures and i thought about my money is time my money is effort it's sacrifice it's not just a note i have it's what i it's what i did to get the note it's me being faithful in my job it's it's what is it god it's time it's so i'm putting my trust back into a kingdom in time and then i said god what does it communicate to you when people give more than the tithe you know what he said to me it communicates that i'm worth it to them i'm worth more than the tithe and the principle than the money i'm worth more than the time they spent i'm worth more to them and i said that's what i want to be that's i want to be one who gives more because you're worth more to me and i thought about that woman with the alabaster box you know who she was right mary magdalene or some people say it's either that mirror or mary of bethany but if it was mary magdalene it means that all she got that alabaster box worth a year's wages what she had inside her hand she would have saved everything for she would have worked hard for as a prostitute she would have taken all of her life savings and seen somebody worth more and she she broke that and all the other disciples and all the other people in the room are like what is she doing she's doing something stupid this much money shouldn't be spent on a person's feet but i love her offering she gave an offering of worth she looked at the king she never knew him until then but she looked at the king and she's like that person whoever he is he's worth giving everything to and you know she could have easily unscrewed the top of that alabaster jar and poured the oil on his feet but it says she broke it you know why she broke it she made sure it could never be used for anything but him she broke it open so that she didn't have to pour a little bit and squeeze the the top back on and have a little bit more for herself have a little bit extra and sometimes i think god he doesn't look at what we give he looks at what we keep and how much we trust in all this other stuff and which we put so much weight on our money when instead of wait on that we should put worth on jesus i want to encourage you tonight don't give to god just to tithe give to god what he's worth to you give to the lord what he puts in your heart joyfully as it says in the book of corinthians the lord loves it when we joyfully give not begrudgingly but because the spirit in us he just wants to cry out other father you're so worthy you saved this kid's life god you're so amazing i who cares if i spit i'd rather spend this extra fifteen dollars or extra fifty dollars on you than starbucks i'd rather pour an offering out that is worth something and i'd rather give that to you where i know i can never get it back but i know i'm sowing into an eternal kingdom into an eternal king who i have intimacy with and you're worth more to me than the dollars in my wallet i will put my trust in you and my worth in you it's trust and worth do you trust your king you've never had a day where you're forsaken and how much is he worth to you you get to make that decision if you stay with the tenth and give the tithe god honours the faithfulness god would never say to you how dare you not show me how much i'm worth that's not what i'm saying to you i am saying this to you though when we give the tenth to god we're we're showing we trust you we trust the principle and we trust your word but when we say god i want to be generous because i love you more then we're saying this not only do i trust your word but you're worth more to me so i want to give you more and it's valentine's day and i'm single so jesus is my valentine so so i want to encourage you even if you're married or single your valentine the one with the sweetest kisses is the king of glory so why don't we give to him a joyful offering on behalf of who how good he is and how he just saved these lives so i'm just going to pray and then and then i'll uh we're going to put it in the bucket it's going to be at the front here again okay so king jesus we love you we want to give you not just a tithe we'd like to give you an offering today lord jesus out of all the loves in the world we say we love you the most we love you more than money we love you more than false security we love you more than what we could trust in we love the fact that you take dismiss tonight i need to bring you up to speed on a few things that are very pressing and important matthew 22 verse 23-40 the same day the sadducees who say there is no resurrection came to him and asked him saying teacher moses said that if a man dies having no children his brother shall marry his wife and raise up offspring for his brother now there were with us seven brothers the first died after he had married who even thinks of this stuff and i'll tell you the religious think this way anyways let me keep going and having no offspring left his wife to his brother likewise the second also and the third even to the seventh you can this is like calculus last of all the woman died also therefore in the resurrection whose wife of the seven will she be i mean really gosh for they all had her jesus answered and said to them you are mistaken not knowing the scriptures nor the power of god now if you're going to stumble in your revelation of the lord it's typically in those two areas the scriptures and the power of god you might know the text and not know the the person and power of the spirit or you might have you might be full of shaka baba's but you don't even know john 3 16. both are a problem trust me both are a problem you're mistaken not knowing the scriptures nor the power of god for in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like angels of god in heaven but concerning the resurrection of the dead have you not read which was spoken to you by god saying i am the god of abraham the god of isaac and the god of jacob aren't you happy he's a god of covenant god is not the god of the dead but of the living say thank you jesus but when the multitudes heard this they were astonished at his teaching well yeah compared to their combo i mean jesus is amazing but can you imagine hearing what they wanted to talk about and then what jesus just laid down light years apart but when the pharisees heard that he had silenced the sadducees they gathered together since he checked their enemies then they gathered together and started talking to jesus again then one of them a lawyer asked him a question testing him not a good idea to test the word himself teacher which is the great commandment and the law jesus said to him you shall love the lord your god with all your heart with all your soul and with all your mind this is the first and great commandment by the way mark adds strength this is the first and great commandment and the second is like it you shall love your neighbor as yourself which is basically the most simple description of the great commission by the way is to love your neighbor as yourself on these two commandments hang all the law and all the prophets the religious wanted to discuss revelation and supposed deep conversation and jesus brought it back to love this is the first and great command now here's a question for you why is it the first and great commandment why is loving the lord with every fiber in our being by the way if we love him with heart soul mind and strength that is the entirety of the human being so here we have jesus himself saying commandment number one the first and great commandment is to be radically in love with your bridegroom why is it number one are you ready it's because that's what he wants most say this out loud close your eyes say jesus you want my love wow i want you to write this down beneath every command in the word of god is a revelation of the heart of god beneath every command in the word of god is a revelation of the heart of god so god is not a robot god is not telling us that the first and great command is to love him with all we are just to do it it's actually the lord saying i want your love more than anything in your life are you with me tonight do you all have too much chocolate all right a little insulin spike what's going on y'all here all right because i'm talking to you about the most important thing in the entire universe loving jesus there's nothing more important there is no crusade that can make up for it if you don't love him you can't get enough people saved to make up for your lack of love there's nothing you can do there's nothing you can give god that would please him if you just decide to keep your love back it's not checks and balance system one time we were sitting with a family member i said you need to give your life to jesus he goes well look he goes should i stop sleeping with chicks i go yeah you should he goes okay well how about if i keep sleeping with chicks and just stop smoking and drinking i go bro this is not like a chex you don't that's not how this thing works okay you're either married to jesus or you're not that's what this you either love him or you don't you're either all in or you're all out according to jesus lukewarm causes him to vomit he don't pet it he vomits it out he doesn't cope with it he doesn't understand it and the reason he doesn't understand it is because if you look at that cross you realize he gave all to you perhaps nothing is more frustrating in a marriage than for one person to give all of their love and for the other to hold it back love is not a feeling though you can feel it love is a choice and at the end of the day love is to draw near god so loved the world that he gave his one and only begotten son god's love has been proven through the life of jesus no other listen nobody has proven their love like jesus has proven his love no one the next time somebody says how do i know god loves me you take them straight back to the life of jesus and it is absolutely undeniable my lord god himself chose to knead a nap on the bow of a boat let alone the cross of calvary when jesus said i thirst he actually meant it love we're talking about the one who neither slumbers nor sleeps all of the sudden became limited to a human body unbelievable his love is proven so it is the first and great command because it's what god wants most his heart is always revealed through the scriptures are you with me okay now check this out if it's the first and great command that means god has priorities or it wouldn't be the first wouldn't it be a shame to give our life to the 11th great command and miss the first and the reason we know god has priorities is because he has a personality which makes him a person that's why it's always shocked me why the church cannot figure out that certain sins are worse than others it is basic theology if i shot you in the face with a 12 gauge god would deal with me differently than if i stubbed your toe by accident with my shoe and didn't say sorry but for some reason all this is confusing and i'll tell you how this happens when relationship leaves when love leaves you flocks shall again pass under the hands of him who counts them says the lord behold the days are coming says the lord that i will perform that good thing say that good thing which i have promised to the house of israel into the house of judah it who is jeremiah talking about in those days and at that time i will cause to grow up to david a branch of righteousness jesus he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the earth in those days judah will be saved and jerusalem will dwell safely and this is the name by which she will be called the lord our righteousness when john the baptist said love of a bridegroom unto death gosh this is amazing you know in matthew in mark chapter 2 verses 18 through 20 it said the disciples of john and of the pharisees were fasting then they came and said to him why do the disciples of john and the pharisees fast but your disciples do not fast and jesus said to them this is mark 2 18-20 can the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them as long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast but the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them and then they will fast in those days now i've heard people say i don't have to fast because jesus hasn't been taken from me i've heard a lot of preachers say that the reason i don't fast is because of mark chapter two he said that the day will come where jesus is taken away and since he's never been taken away from me he lives in my heart i don't have to fast i'm like bro let me let me help you out he ascended to the right hand of the father yes he's in your heart he's in your heart by the spirit absolutely but jesus has ascended why do we fast are you ready because we're in love wait let me help you i'm now i'm getting all wild listen let me more than you launching your ministry it's about more than all this stuff fast because you're in love literally fast because you want to be more aware of his presence our team is on a fast right now just a little window hosea chapter 2 verses 14 through 17. listen to this language therefore behold i will allure her i will bring her into the wilderness and speak comfort to her i will give her vineyards from there and the valley of acor as a door of hope she shall sing there as in the days of her youth as in the day when she came up from the land of egypt and it shall be in that day says the lord that you will call me my husband no longer my master for i will take from her listen i will take from her mouth the names of baals and they shall be remembered by their name no more love listen love incinerates idols now now listen i want you to begin seeing john the baptist's ministry a little differently yes the forerunner yes the prophet but in a way a best man introducing israel to their bridegroom now i want you to couple that with john's message a message of repentance listen carefully a bridal message is by nature a repentance message it has to be you're not hearing me i'm about to throw a guitar into that section a repentance message is the message to the bride it will forever be it's what jesus said to the loveless church return to your first love return to the first works why because the bride must be prepared for her wedding day a wedding is coming a real wedding the wedding will be consummated at the marriage supper of the lamb it will really happen just like god ate with the elders of israel as israel's husband on mount sinai the father listen we'll give the church away as a gift and we will dine at the marriage supper of the lamb and forever we shall be with our husband listen listen yes the message to the church is jesus the message to the world is jesus i don't know where we came up with all these systems and like well i'm a pastor now maybe i stopped preaching jesus no the church needs the gospel and the lost need the gospel jesus is the father's only sermon so whether it's to the lost tell them about jesus you'll never bore a true jesus lover by telling them about jesus i promise you if jesus bores us it's not his fault there's nothing boring about jesus who's listen whose eyes are flames of fire nothing boring about that there's nothing boring about being fully god and fully man at the same time nothing there's nothing boring about wearing eternal scars in glory and every saint and angel will eternally meditate on the one who is fully god and fully man we will never stop staring at him because there's nothing boring about him never never never so i i'm shocked when people go bro you ever stop preaching jesus okay and what would you like me to replace him with 12 steps to interpret something no i'm not going to do that loving jesus is life's greatest achievement you can pack jesus 20 21 jesus 22 jesus 23 you can pack every field between here and tampa you can pack all of a i-4 and billions could get saved and healed but if i don't love jesus i have missed the mark because he raised the dead with judas that one be as generous as he is she needs to love the things that he loves and hate the stuff that he hates she needs to hate iniquity so that she can be filled with the oil of gladness she needs to be like the one she's married to and when god is done when the holy spirit is done and every spot and wrinkle has been removed because because she has prepared herself god's not going to read your bible to and covered your nakedness does anybody else remember a day where they did not know jesus and had you walked into a meeting like this you would have felt exposed in the light of god but jesus said i the word yes i though i thoroughly washed off your blood and i anointed you with oil that's the presence of the spirit on us i clothed you an embroidered cloth and gave you sandals of badger skin embroidered cloth are ropes of righteousness jesus gave us his own righteousness and he gave us badger skin as shoes why because bad your skin keeps the elements off it's ugly to the eye but it keeps the dirt off it's why it covered the tabernacle it keeps sin away i clothed you with fine linen the innocence of jesus himself and i covered you with silk his own royalty i adorned you with ornaments the very gifts of the spirit i put bracelets on your wrist the person presence and gifts of the spirit a chain on your neck and i put a jewel in your nose that's why we are called love slaves of jesus earrings in your ears and a beautiful crown on your head we are kings and priests of an eternal kingdom thus you were adorned with gold and silver gold is his divinity silver his redemption your clothing was fine linen again the innocence of the lord silk and embroidered cloth you ate pastries a fine flour speaking of the sweetness of his presence and word honey the sweetness of worship oil the presence of the spirit you were exceedingly beautiful and succeeded to royalty he has made us kings and priests your fame went out among the nations speaking of the gospel's power today because of don't know what that marriage supper is going to be like where christ's presence is the meal and jesus himself is the host and the father like every father who walks the bride down as a gift to the son because of the cross philippians 2 that he died even death even the death of the cross and therefore he's earned the name above every name that father is gonna the father is going to give the bride to his son as his son's eternal reward he's gonna give us away and when all things are under the feet of jesus as he ruled and reigns in his conquered death jesus first corinthians tells us will give us and everything the entire kingdom back to the father so that god can be all in all you talk about humility oh hallelujah jesus our heavenly husband oh jesus now you understand why john said i must decrease so that he might increase what is he saying it's not my wedding when the best man stands at the side when the vows begin the best man takes a step away it's his desire to pull away before the groom and the bride get there the best man stands at attention he's just about centerpiece but when the bride and the groom come when the groom shows up when the bridegroom shows up his easter services and then easter sunday night we will be here that's april the fourth april the second for good friday we are going to the apopka amphitheater thousands will gather we're taking this cross with us we're inviting really i don't think the borders will be open but we're inviting people from around america to come to gather around the cross for us to worship we're going to receive communion preach the gospel and have a glorious time in god's presence outdoors it'll feel a lot like jesus 20. it's going to be phenomenal it's going to be a yearly tradition for us good friday is a very holy night so that's april 2nd 7 p.m entirely free come to the apopka amphitheater easter two services at the sheridan maitland one service here that night all right yeah there we go december 17-18 we have penciled in the dates we're about to sign the contract for jesus 21. we are going back to the central florida fairgrounds but we're taking a much larger field come on say amen we're taking a much larger field thousands and thousands are going to come and it's going to be phenomenal so write that down now that being said can y'all come up here come up here that being said um with us beginning sunday morning which is a must obviously as a church family uh we have some major costs that we have taken on uh for audio now you know me i i rarely do i do this and when i do it's always for other ministries we've given to john bevere's ministry on the second offering to the send and to upper room that's about it right yeah so for a second offering but if we're going to move forward we're going to have to do it together i said if we're going to move forward we're going to have to do it together so if we're going to call this our church as ben said it's going to require our hearts and our resources so can we put up the figures of what audio and uh okay that's the total 310 000 do not sigh that is not a lot to the lord i said do not sigh that is not a lot to the lord but it did keep me up two nights ago nonetheless all right i'm joking it did for like 20 minutes and then i thought of golf and i went straight to sleep all right now we wanted to be really clear because this is a big number and we've already taken on some of these costs because we have to begin march 7th some of them we had to order they wouldn't arrive in time so the ministry took on debt it was charged to us much of this that's right huh carla yeah so i have chris up here because i this is not my wheelhouse we wanted to break this down so that you can see we're not just throwing a number out and i wanted chris to kind of speak in like cables chris why do cables cost thirty four thousand dollars well can i speak to the whole yeah yeah please yeah so we're called to be good stewards with god's money so let me work toward that so everything you see up here these speakers this drum kit other than basically these microphones that he's speaking on and me and carla have and that keyboard aren't ours judah this church has blessed us with the opportunity to use their gear going into uh the sheridan it's all us so we could spend between six and eight thousand dollars every week how much six or eight six years just renting it depends on the production company all that stuff and in a year we're spending more than that and what do we have we don't have that we don't have a sound system so once that building's built all that gear goes into that building and then we can take it on the road with us too you can take it on the road with us absolutely it'll minimize the rental costs as well for the apopka good friday jesus 21 etc we'll still need stuff we've spent hundreds of thousands just on renting for the yearly event and then our vision breakfasts we spend i don't know but thousands in rental yep uh we we when when things get back to normal we'll have two a month so we'll be able now instead of renting uh this audio equipment especially in the southeast we'll be able to have our own and take it so do you want to speak into any of those costs or they're pretty pretty clear it seems yeah i mean it's i don't want to bore you with each detail but again it's from the ground up we're using basically the the the building and we come in and we build that this has to go in quick go up quick and then come down because we have to set up and tear down everything because then we have to come back here you know okay and we're you know our our main goal in production the cameras the sound is to create a distraction free intimate experience with jesus come on and that's it yeah how many of you know excellence matters and as jeremy said last night the worship or said last week the worship going on here is going to water the nations and it already is so we want that same experience for sunday morning carla do you want to speak into can we throw that some of the children's costs up are they oh kids kids why do kids cost so much money they do um so like chris said we are starting from you know the ground up so even all the items that we have inside of the nursery they are not ours they are judas who has been so gracious to let us use that and so as a parent um you know and obviously most of us have kids we want to develop and have the safest and funnest atmosphere for our kids to not only experience the lord but to build community with other children that love jesus so you know we have um so what are we buying yes what are we getting so a good portion of that has to do with um kind of like a tv setup that we have so currently on sunday nights the kids are able to live stream the service so that's still super important to us that the kids are able to get in on what is happening in the main sanctuary and then it just is toys and books those pads oh yes lots of foam mats safety is important to us so we're making sure that you know anything that um that the kids are going to need that it's going to be provided for them yeah yeah well i told the team look if we're going to have to raise this quickly and together but i want to be as transparent as possible so i asked them to break it down that came off a line item uh itemized sheet that austin and chris worked through and so we're going to need to do it together and i know we can do it together and the generations are going to thank us when we do you remember when i came to you and said we need to raise money for the video it was right after jesus 19 we we i i took an offering at jesus 19 and about 60 percent came in all of the sudden within a few weeks all of it came in and i think it was too it's like two but how much was it 250 something like that the day we received our last piece of equipment the following day everything shut down from covet and no more equipment could come in from china we would literally have waited six months to a year to get the video equipment that we're using right now that is blessing the world had you not given so jess and i are going to do this i want you to think about your children's children god has called this to be a church in the city and we're going to have to all build it together now there might be some of you who can say you know what i will cover i don't know the audio board or i don't know for those of you watching you've been blessed by the ministry you may be able to do something can we throw that up on the screen
