of approval okay guys the starting point is kaminarimon thundergate this gate was first built in 941 but the current gate dates back from 1960 after the previous gate was destroyed in fire in 1865. it's a beautiful gate don't forget to take pictures because it is very photogenic walk through caminari gate you can find nakamise street it was built in 18th century and rebuilt in 1925. there are 89 shops along this street [Music] oh the first shop is kibidango asma this shop starts in 1940 and this chibidango is made as edo era style i know already this kibi jungle is very tasty but today today's one is on top of shaved ice creamy shaved rice looks yummy i love this mora says deep morasses as a syrup for shaved ice sometimes it becomes diluted but it's not it's a distinctive clomic flavor really good of course it's cold and the ice is nicely shaved all right guys so uh i'm gonna take a bite it's a super hot day today oh by the way there's also some kinako powder on the top cat's kinako which is a ground up soybean so oh so good i love kuromitsu i love love korean too i'm gonna put my mask on when i'm talking because there are people right next to me but oh if you've never tried kuromitsu you gotta try it it's basically japanese black sugar syrup sauce so good i'm gonna try the kiwi tango on the top here we go usually if it's not summertime they you only sell this they don't sell the kakigori you can get five of these in one set so good so squishy and peanuty soybean flavor take about the taki-gori this is a perfect summer sweet i tell you oh my god there are two plums in here two unit plums inside the kakigori did not expect that i'm gonna try this out sorry it's not um it looked like um no this is shiratama this is a mochi balls squishy oh my god what a surprise so we're at a place called ichibanya they actually have three shops sort of interconnected here they they are famous for their melumpan and kaminari okoshi which is like rice krispies but for the summer time they are selling these sodas and we got the melon soda for melon float i can't remember what it was called but um there are two mochi balls on top i actually thought they were ice cream but it's actually mochi ice cream there's american cherry and this is the melon flavor they also have blue hawaii as well as strawberry but we've got the green one because this one's the most nostalgic all right cheers everybody wow yeah definitely melon soda from the past i don't think i've had this like since i was a child i was a child really really it's hard to find melon soda these days okay i'm gonna have one of the uh the mochi ice cream so this is the mocha ice cream it comes with this little pick so you can pick it up oh look at that ice cream inside it's a very thin layer of mochi which is a like rice cake oops and the ice cream fell into my um soda but then you can simply make um a melon float but i'm gonna oh my god i can't take it i can't get it it's melting it's melty the mochi skin came off ice cream remains in the soda but that's okay this is your classic melon float and that is a real thing guys it's actually better with ice cream anyway that's my excuse mmm nostalgic shaved icing flavor melon shaved ice melon flavor cream soda i like yes i like this flavor it's summer taste mochi mochi ice cream this one is red pink pink this one is pink peach strawberry i don't know the mochi part is strawberry inside is a regular vanilla ice cream tastes good and the idea is very interesting not only regular cream soda made on float but it's it's fun it's fun to eat refreshing so let's go to the next so this is ichigo warabi mochi strawberry warabi mochi it's made with a real each strawberry puree i've never seen strawberry puree of ichigo warabi much before the dish shop is asakusa ichigoza everything is made with strawberry moss i can taste the real strawberry flavor and texture preparing jiggly jiggly and just light sweetness it's very comfort comfort flavor and on top is this milk powder it's milk powder interesting interesting it's milk powder like this jiggly jiggly it's like a soft type jelly the texture is soft type jelly but it's warabi moji texture oh that is soft it is so soft i was not expecting that what is usually is a bit more jelly like but this is almost like it's so smooth i don't know what it reminds me of it tastes like condensed milk there's condensed milk on top of it that's it no condensed milk and you can actually eat this part this part is acting as a a little dish right now but that's the thing called monaka it's basically like an ice cream cone like a round shaped ice cream cone the other thing we got is called shin uchi shuzo and i love the way it looks it it's basically a strawberry clothed in a beautiful mochi kimono [Music] that's what it is and this actually won an award for international taste test or something it won like three stars not really sure what that means but give it a go fresh strawberry on the inside tacky moss so juicy the strawberry sweet outside is like it's like it's like a ichigo daifuku but in a more creative form i believe there's like peach puree inside this pink mochi so you get both peach and strawberry flavors really good stuff here we are at omia can you tell i'm sweating again sweating so profusely is so hot anyway we are famous for their panda parfaits this one is your chocolate and it's supposed to be soaked in matcha syrup that's what they said so i'm really really curious to what that tastes like oh that's the panda right there and there's something at the bottom as well i'm not sure what that is caramel maybe okay so dakimas look how creamy that is look how creamy that is so this is chocolate soft serve oh nice looking texture that's a good chocolate saucer oh i am happy to report that i'm so happy this is not one of those cheap ones they use real cocoa it is very very chocolatey oh this is good not very sweet either okay i'm gonna have a bite of the little panda here you know what i got to eat it without the ice cream that's texture it's it's a texture of castera but a little bit more dense i think it's not as airy as how castella usually is but it's good it tastes a little bit like honey i don't really taste matcha though not sure what's on the bottom well oh you know what i think that is crumbled up castella pieces wait a minute what is that there's some kind of syrup on the inside look you see it's kind of syrupy it's just it's kind of syrup like a caramelly syrup how tasty that's a pleasant surprise it's rich chocolate i love this texture and this richness i think it's because of inside in the i think it's because of it's in the ice cream it it is not so it is [Music] it is different texture from regular caster but good good good yes like chinese sad little bit taste of honey oh you see it's refreshing once you make it to the end of the nakamisedori street you will arrive at sensochi temple this is the oldest temple in tokyo it was first built in six four five the year 6 45 long long time ago so we're going to make a left here and go to this other side street where they have waiting for you much a beer beer something you've never tried before right that's right finally i can drink matcha beer we are at kaminari issa niyak near sensoji temple i'm very very looking forward to drink this one yes i found last year but i couldn't drink that time now i can drink matcha yes i can't enjoy it i can't taste the matcha flavor with beer taste i'm very worried the matcha flavor disturbed the beer flavor will be afraid to disturb the mushroom but i can enjoy the both flavor well it's not disturbing each other little bit tanginess i don't know why where it comes from but a little bit tanginess it's good good good accents accent little bit citrusy taste good beer it's very refreshing in this hot summer day alright guys so we decided to get something else this is the whole jucha ice cream 400 yen for premium hojicha ice cream that's roasted tea with a teddy bear shaped monaka and you got some i think that's like rice krispies or something but anyway this particular shop not only do they have the matcha beer they specialize in a lot of matcha products so i'm definitely gonna check it out later on but um yeah let's take a bite [Music] definitely you can taste the hojicha roasted tea which is really nice but it's also blended nicely with like a creamy milky flavor it's good i want to try it with these uh crispy things on the side i'm not really sure what they are [Music] i have no idea what that is hmm [Music] i guess it's like rice crackers not savory but not sweet either it's kind of like rice crackers not bad as a nice little crunch i like it it's delicious and the guy who works here is really really nice he was so worried for us that we might die of heat stroke which is why we're upstairs in the air-conditioned room but there's a lot of um matcha things here i'm kind of looking forward to like checking it out and i might take a couple of home all right let's go on to the next place after we finish this [Music] all right guys so not too far away from the kibi dango place that we were i just turned and i'm kind of going to on the side streets there's a place to sell a melon pan they're really really famous for their melon bread but of course during the summer time you should get it with the ice cream the first one we got is the one with the matcha the outside is still crispy and hot inside is cold ice cream here no good stuff the bread is freshly break so it's really nice and hot but contrast so much with the cold interior of the ice cream good matcha flavored ice cream as well and this place their melon pan is special because the outside is really crispy there's a really nice crispy crust it's a little bit sweet and it's super fluffy on the inside it's basically a melon pond ice cream sandwich oh but i haven't eaten my first time crispy and hot warm it's still warm so we have you have to eat immediately because it is hot the ice cream will melt and this chroma taste the black sesame paste taste is really good and chrome matches with skeleton black morasses you know what i think this is even better than the matcha one a black sesame flavor is super intense so you have to like black sesame but if you love black sesame you're gonna love this one oh my god oh so good oh boy satoshi it is so hot we had so much ice cream and cold drinks cold things and i'm still hot i'm actually hotter than when we started it's too hot yeah we're actually planning to go to a couple of places but the weather is just horrendous so we're gonna end it here um what was your favorite yeah we tried the matcha beer you know i gotta say that was a good beer i had a little bit of taste and it's not sweet at all you just have like a the aroma and flavor of matcha but it's totally beer like i could drink that like normally it was so good my favorite was um actually my favorite was the shaved ice the kakigori the first one we had from the kiwi dango shop first of all i love the kiwi nango there they're so delicious every time i come here it's a place i always recommend people to go but during the summer months they had the kakigori and that was delicious highly recommended with that said guys thank you so much for watching as always what did you
