said that like [ __ ] on it man get that guy out of here i'm about to take a piss no i don't do that don't do that that's [ __ ] how the [ __ ] did that news get across that's an industry called that [ __ ] was crazy though what's the second bullet point new single first class thank you thank you thank you was that one of your favorite songs before you sampled it or did somebody just black i got something i was obsessed with fergie when i was a kid talk about it i um i tried to do fergalicious at the talent show in fifth grade that's not good man it's crazy but it's true uh i'm dead ass and they should be ferguson i tried they didn't let me it's too it's too sexual you know hold on hold on when you audition you like i can't wait to play this [ __ ] let's just make it back hey point is i love fergie i mean she's she's so groovy too so i've been obsessed for a long time anyway yeah i love fergie so i've been wanting to do this my whole life so anyone that went to school with me knows this is full circle full circle that's beautiful greg street was just telling me that's the remix uh oh [ __ ] he don't laugh yeah that's the og no that's my uncle we fish you fish i can see that what you mean you can see that i believe you oh the white came out of i don't like it [Music] we just messaged she gave me her i mean she had to clear it yeah she gave me her blessing yeah that's good who is it in the game that you see yourself like want to work with cause you came out really like on fire really pretty pablo you [ __ ] you said that against [ __ ] man what type of music do you see you a pd maker song or like some smooth [ __ ] for the ladies like an introspective record no that ain't repeated oh no i'm not saying what he's done for us we would talk about our insecurities on the record damn that's interesting you need to put that [Laughter] [Applause] [Applause] like on the women's [ __ ] when he was naming all the latest names andre 3000 oh that's what's up and put that damn ukulele down it's a flute it's a flute yeah no but you'll take that if i drink these guys to work with you and he won't do his whole verse with a fluke i'll be able to [ __ ] whack him on it he can whisper yeah i'm like you know that hundred three thousand ready the title of the album came from come home the kids miss you what's the inspiration behind that my fans were commenting under all my posts and i just thought it was a beautiful sentence and i spent a lot of time away from kentucky making an album so just it's like poetic justice i just went with it that's what it is [Music] what was your inspiration a lot of chicks put that under your post yeah yeah that just means they want to give you some [ __ ] i know you're going crazy come home the kids miss you oh you i just want to see my kids i just want to see my kids i'm going i'm going with city girls this year it's your first tour no i've been on tour i i mean shout out to the city girls club [Applause] you ready yes all right you're going down this far they don't talk about their business for to be coming left and right yep how you deal with that like you know i mean the attention to women like i don't know [Applause] [ __ ] i mean i think it's something i can deal with i feel like you're stressful jack i mean god but i always say like god gives his greatest test to like his strongest soldiers and i just feel like there's something i can deal with that's a great test that is again a lot a lot with a lot of power comes a lot of responsibility like i'm down for the mission like whatever is necessary i'm just bad boy set up on that when i'm down for the mission whatever is necessary like interviewing for the men in black now i'm down for the mission yeah green light go what's it dangerous back it's it's a lot of evil [ __ ] won't nobody talk about jack i'm not here to deter you from your mission i don't but i'm just saying the the perils of [ __ ] jack manny a great man has fallen [Music] first of all that's the main goal stay prayed up thank god that you you're on tour perform can you follow the show then after that show it's another show it's another show i don't know see for me it's it's tough to go to a city meet a stranger and then get inside them sometimes [Music] [Applause] [Laughter] got to i'm just saying it's hard you know the stakes are high there's a lot you can run into nowadays they go to sleep wanting to do it wake up and why did you do this to me you're just busting up by yourself and it's over you don't have to deal with it that right there and that's how great me too big on that hey yeah [Applause] hey put her there [Music] it's still gonna be even if you get a little bit of [ __ ] it's still gonna break down that some of this [ __ ] gonna be some [ __ ] it ain't really no whole lot of stress-free [ __ ] out here sometimes even if it is it's probably from somebody you don't want it this is all yeah there's some straight for you good depends it doesn't matter they landed in the bed there are situations depending on um depending on the woman where it can be very stress-free how old are you twenty-four cool from the young days yeah you [ __ ] in a whole different generation see the winner 24 year old women they throwing puzzles they all got ain't no strange attachment poker games i look like i like women [ __ ] you like you like them oh katie i love 50 year old women my range is like from my age to maybe 40 50. yeah like [ __ ] why the older women what they have something where you know they can teach me yeah because they got kids don't say that don't be like that all the time what are you meeting 50 year old women at jack craig's list no i'm joking [Music] don't do that please all right he's not working you're the only white man on plenty of fish [Laughter] plenty of fish oh okay you already knew what it called black it needs to be on black or crazy black black just black it's called black what the [ __ ] is it it's a box out of the site with the pawn category black [ __ ] be all black every time they hit a city i'd be like what was wrong with y'all [ __ ] and they catch every time jack you got all kind of dude going on there i didn't know this i got a profile you're on the iss you on the cover of rolling stone yes what the [ __ ] you doing here bro you actually on rockstar status ted well i've seen the show it just seemed like the right thing to do you right [Applause] the [ __ ] that people say you know you can't help that you're white but people automatically assume you can't you can't but that would be even worse okay you can't help it you can't help daddy white he was born that way he's the [ __ ] paint come on but how do you deal with the people that automatically uh assume that how do you deal with b-white no no no no it's easy being white but as a white rapper that's the hard part being white everywhere else is easy but once you become a rapper it's like this [ __ ] like so how do you deal with the people who say the industry plant and all that [ __ ] just because you know success might have came a little easier for you in their eyes i've never had to deal with anyone um nobody's ever said that to me i've seen it typed out but i've never had it said to me so it don't bother me good good you feel more pressure i i create some pressure on my own on myself because i have high ambitions and i want to see everyone around me like not have to worry about a thing and continue to see kentucky elevate but you know i really love this i have a true passion for it it's not a cash grab it's not a way for me to get famous like i've been rapping since i was in middle school like passing out mixtapes you know what i'm saying like i love it so this is my passion that's what it is how did you get in contact how did dj drama find you well kentucky's about six hours from here it is yeah it's not good we went the wrong way about a good twelve when we were around took a lime yeah yeah i mean coming out of high school we just would come down here we'd get a rental and i was coming down i remember i did a uh open mic showcase that i won that playboy tray was hosting i was shaking anyone's hand that would [ __ ] with me and then i was working at georgia state with my best friends i was in the chick-fil-a at georgia state and then i got a call that dj drama wanted to meet me at mean street so i went up there and um told me wanted to sign him and he ended up signing me you went back to chick-fil-a you said [ __ ] yeah i go back all the time what was the rap song that you heard that made you want to rap great question is that on that paper did that come from your soul because that was a great question there it is no i'm joking um i always say to me the best rap song all times drop it like it's hot like when i first heard that beat i think i fell in love with hip-hop i don't know when you're bullshitting them when you for real no cap well you don't like that song i never said that oh but that was the one that is our [ __ ] a couple times um yeah that's like early like black eyed peas i was obsessed with i got peas that's a hell of a transition drop it like it's hot black eyed peas but it ain't if you think about it it ain't though because um yeah it's mid 2000's it's like super groovy it's kind of influenced by the same thing like that whole pharrell timbaland era right like that's if you hear my new album it's super influenced by that but like my earliest memory is my mom buying late registration and playing in the car and telling me i can't say the n-word and just be getting introduced to hip-hop that was it right there that was your man that was that good rule yeah she was about to play this like the first album hey you're about to hear a word on here you can never say in your life that put the pressure on you that's great which word is it mom she said you know it when you hear it don't ever say that [ __ ] can't nothing good come out of it you're right yeah i don't even see it in my room under my breath by myself don't ain't never think it should just be a blank spot when you think that [ __ ] i had that far removed from my brain right surgically you got here with the flashy thing never say [ __ ] that's a good thing to follow up with though you're about to be in this movie white man can't jump that's right that's fine yeah i can hoop him all right he ain't bothering me just watch the movie man of course i know it's gonna happen you didn't know what you called it the two on two thing right yeah yeah we won so you bought friends i'm useful we ball for real i believe you oh lord hello that's the billy oil's right there wow that's a relic so look right even in the studio right because when i when i first heard your song was popping i'm like i i hear the lyricism you see what i'm saying like i like the word play like have you ever just got into the studio and gotta write his block and it was like [ __ ] all the time so what did you do to overcome i mean there's only so much you can do i'd like to think i have a solution but it's like you have to search for some sort of emotion i don't know but i guess i still get stuck to this day and you really can't do much about it it's just you have to let it come the the the songs i ever put out the best verses i ever write it was like it was just coming from it's just coming from something it's not it's not like i really focused hard and got the good lyrics it's like it's you can't drill it in it's like it's just falling out of your mouth you know what i'm saying it's some real [ __ ] [ __ ] right here white people you witnessing history [Applause] you ain't see how they lit up when i say a real [ __ ] [ __ ] they're like oh my god we finally found some [Music] please have a good time but don't get too drunk like drake [Music] what is this [Music] [Applause] [Music] ryan look like um [Applause] but we can work it out [Applause] okay so now we gonna get into [Applause] i love y'all so much [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] do you have anything you go to for inspiration that's guaranteed to give you inspiration like a movie or a song nothing guaranteed yeah but maybe just like a full day outside or that's like one of the things i'm really now that the album's out like i just want to not i spent so much time in the studio like i just want to not go to the studio just want to go outside and have something new to talk about dude i know it's beginning but dude do the fame i see you saying i'm going to be outside and stuff do it get overwhelming like now that it's coming on you see how much hardware you had to just do to put out that project yeah in order to stay great you have to continuously to be you know what i'm saying consistent and persistent yeah there's moments and then you like there's interviews that are a drag like unlike this one like this is the type of interview that is a blast but there's tons of [ __ ] you do that you're just like ugh but every time i get that feeling i'm just like ain't this what you dreamed of like wouldn't you rather this than anything else right you come with it that's part of it yeah i'm grateful i'm grateful i'll do all the work i want it more than almost anyone so what's that hear that about it yeah you stay in the studio i always hear my first talk about little babies staying in the studio y'all two [ __ ] that i always come up is yeah i i believe it with him because i think i learned that from being down here is like the first few years of my career when i was in kentucky i used to write everything i got down here started seeing people freestyle i started i started realizing oh i'm slowing the session down my verse is taking forever because i'm trying to pin it out and i'm in the studio with these guys and they just and they make 10 songs a night so it's something i like i just learned while i was down here the work ethic it's like very wheezy influence you know you got a favorite part of fame like is there anything that with the newfound thing cause you had a level that a lot of people never get to already so is it something that you like man i got that you thought was going to be a certain way that you realize it's completely different now it's a good question i mean my favorite part is probably just like the leverage like when you just go places like you you're treated well and just being able to put my best friends in the position they want to be in like the most fun part ain't even like what i get i don't i don't buy very much stuff like it's more just creating experiences for the people around me stuff that other people just don't especially where i come from like in louisville you know down here there's so many success stories and it's beautiful but in louisville we have a few but we're still waiting to hit that type of stride it's actually more than it's ever i mean just having g out bryson and me at the same time and then um i gotta say yeah it's like it's never been like this and so we just want to keep feeding that and just whenever i go home it's like i get to bring some magic home with me i'm like because they see me they they see me on the internet they see what's going on and then i come home and i'm like yeah that's what it's like it's not special creating an experience for your people your hometown that's what a lot of people don't get the importance of being able to put your city on the map because a lot of times i think that any city that we don't know about is because a rapper has never came from then and narrated the story of a city think about how exciting it is when one does right i mean think if somebody came out of wyoming right now right and they were hard you'd be immediately interested right i mean that's what outcast was you know what i'm saying it was just like whoa neverland we haven't heard that story yet exactly saint louis right i was just so many players like and that's why i talk about louisville so much because when i was coming up i just love to hear the stories of artists and where they were from i mean it's just sick so what was it like coming up there i mean we have a scene it's special i'm from i'm from a neighborhood called the highlands which is kind of like more of like how do i put it like i wouldn't say it's the arts district but it's like kind of the place where everyone comes together to be creative and so it's kind of in the center of the city spot that i mean i guess it ain't like it's like if i go fast it's a little bit like that it's a little bit like that it's a little bit like that it's like not as hipster right right but there's some of that energy um yeah it's just a like really accepting area like i don't know if i haven't been raised in this part of town is what i'm saying i don't know if i could have been a compelling rapper you know if i had been raised in like a deep suburb like i don't think i would be able to do this very well so i think just being outside and walking around and leaving school and being outside until it was dark and going to play basketball with everybody and all this like it's just helpful live life yeah you experienced something right all the way now usually when you come from a city when you blow up from a city it's always somebody that was there before locally that was known was there anybody in louisville that was locally known that never really popped nationally but was influence you in the city well when you we've had um people like that people don't know a lot of people don't static major wrestling pieces from louisville which he's not a good example because he really yeah he went anywhere i think i'm just saying i think you know he was on his way to being like superstar yeah producing that right slim was wrong yeah but like for example when i was in high school is when bryson tiller came out and i was just so like what the [ __ ] i was so just i cannot believe this person's from louisville i thought his music was so amazing i was obsessed when i was like post notifications on i was dying to go to his shows like and uh he showed me love so early like when i was still in high school he would retweet a video here and there for me and um bryson's still my idol because he's one we're in we're at the derby this weekend he's one of my good friends but one of my idols immediately that's dope that's dope man people don't understand that the the craziness of when your idols actually become your peers like people that you grew up watching the best film in the world it's the craziest feeling in the world and then you get to see him and meet him right that's your habit that's the real what you just said is a real gift to this [ __ ] yeah it's to have somebody like even drake for me like drake is one of the people that literally taught me how to rap you know what i'm saying it's like him wayne kanye and now to be cool with him it's like the biggest that's better than 10 million dollars that's how i feel there's no there's no price tag you can put on like meeting somebody that taught you how to do it and i'm saying yo you're dope right we all got that from that person for you lo that you when you got in the game and you met that that was like oh [ __ ] i really this [ __ ] my partner now i know this person [Laughter] so everybody that i thought was famous is like all you know what i'm saying like you said i looked at everybody like that because we didn't see nobody like coming up on the patient i see them all now you get what i'm saying like like i remember one time charles barkley stopped through that and it was the biggest [ __ ] he just randomly showed up and just went to the schools and [ __ ] all right but that was like that's like the biggest move like [ __ ] charles barty just showed up and they're gonna be the store for years [Laughter] and chopping it up with martin and being able to head like this [ __ ] calls me and checks on me now like it's the most because i remember sitting in front of the tv and you know fame was different for us coming up because there wasn't no access to celebrity like it is now i couldn't just go to armand hey that [ __ ] you just did is jerome was funny as [ __ ] [ __ ] in his comments so to be sitting beside a [ __ ] that you watched in a different world like inside the box for us was different so that [ __ ] for him to know who i am and know who we are for is crazy it's the craziest [ __ ] in the world it's insane bro it's crazy it's so many of them stories that i could tell i've been doing entertainment for so long like one of my coldest entertainment memories is like rest in peace charlie murphy i was getting ready to go do this thing with mike epps right just like tmz type [ __ ] and he's like hey man charlie murphy wants you to bring some weed i was like how much it was like you say want a house i was like all right so i get the weed right bring this [ __ ] to charlie murphy he'll take out how much he wants and he'll give me the rest and then he just sit there and we smoke for like two hours man and he's just telling me all these wild ass stories like everybody who ever met him just know he just talked and he got like the most entertaining [ __ ] ever so that was just one of them dope ass moments like that get the night i met them 95 percent of that nigga's right and [ __ ] like that so yeah you got one black so it's all over i want to say well it's two with three i got three maine was peripheral uh until he really like influenced me like when i was rapping atl west that bad boy you know that when light skin [ __ ] couldn't be bad you feel what i'm saying like he forced his weight life but y'all got me [ __ ] up i'm from banky [ __ ] i take your cookie dude like you might think yeah i mean no cat you feed me and then once i started getting into the to the game and then we reached out before you know you started linking up a whole lot more and i'm like damn like we really family we friends i'm like i'm kicking it with my favorite rapper you feel me like this is wild in the world god is beautiful you feel what i'm saying and then mike being on the road with mike keps i remember sitting in the bed suspended from school watching him goddamn on next friday we got down roped head and got there put his lip in the vacuum [ __ ] man i'm hiding like a [ __ ] the young [ __ ] like this is crazy like this is something i can relate when that movie came out we used to quote that [ __ ] at football every day every day nothing that [ __ ] you know how much i love the pimp and that [ __ ] like when i met him it was just like oh she know me like they were like yeah i know you man i i rock with you man i love what you're doing and this thing had that support system so that's right that's the best so crazy my release party was in louisville this weekend and bumby showed up and so many of like i was obviously honored and excited but so many of my ogs that like are mentors in me that were just in the party with me that i grew up in louisville around the world introducing me bro yeah you know i never seen them look i was like damn that's the only team right yeah yo bro you're my idol all right holy [ __ ] right and you provided that opportunity for them so yeah that's the you got to give your best expectation wrong i've been star struck one time oh i seen al abs me too my [ __ ] [ __ ] up i don't know where this [ __ ] come from this [ __ ] came out of nowhere bro [ __ ] we in the club [ __ ] we we outside i think in the club 11 45 [ __ ] we standing on the couch outside i just so happen to look he's walking that way i said [ __ ] [ __ ] i moved the business that was without like [ __ ] move boom not knowing that he walking over there to come speak to me so i jump over the thing he like hey i'm blood i'm coming you speak to you i'm like [ __ ] you are michael jordan [ __ ] you he's the hood yeah oh man i did the comedy all-star [ __ ] with mike vick real hell yeah that hard [ __ ] i'm [ __ ] when i seen allen i was in the front of linux and i was waiting on them to pull my car the valet that [ __ ] walked there with monica and monica said what's up to me and i said hey i was like i think i'm bullshitting i couldn't say nothing yeah when she walked in started singing all the thugs in the audience stood up and they were crying tears no new faces there yeah that's crazy man so like moving forward jack like i got a little more work like when you accomplish so much so quick you know what i'm saying like how do you keep your goals you know what i mean to keep elevating your goals you know because you you i know what i think the hardest part from my perspective is trying to make it and once you get to a point where you feel like you made it like how do you you know get to the next the next thing you know what motivates your goals to move forward i guess you're just chasing a high like every time i go in the studio to make a new song is just chasing a high you just want to feel that feeling again because no matter how many times you make one like that doubt creeps in of like am i really that guy no matter how many you've made so you need to make a new one to feel like oh yeah i am who i think i am so it's just that i don't know i mean this is i i don't have a grammy like there's just tons i could name a bunch of just randomized right right how do you feel about the comparisons and [ __ ] to the other white rappers uh don't bother me gonna be vanilla ice you said well it could be vanilla ice and that would be that way eminem is the one to be compared to no i mean obviously yeah eminem's idol mine and yeah don't bother me at all they go competing to the other white people i mean yeah they have to because like no matter no matter how serious or no matter how much respect my music gets like it's black space and i'm like there's something novelty about being a white guy and they got they have to they have to do that so that's never something like i'm never going to get online and be like why do you all keep doing this if you did don't do it like that because they'd be like that's why we keep doing it so this is what comes with it i've already i've been getting that since i was 12. that's funny i feel like the music that you put out like over surpassed that you see what i'm saying it's like i ain't never really tripped on the [ __ ] like that ever since i heard the music i'm like okay as long as you stay consistent and people are going to rock with them you dig what i'm saying you ain't just dude you rapping you rapping it's different [ __ ] i want to be rapping you right you would wear this [ __ ] just like 17 appreciate that like even the [ __ ] with the video that they the girl got police show the girl outside your concert and [ __ ] like you know what i'm saying like you seen the deal where what the [ __ ] be going on thank you brother yeah i'm trying yeah i'm trying ain't hard just stay in there yeah you're there now you gonna keep learning we all are i think the music is just about just staying consistent don't get complacent your favorite no that's my that's my same motto i i mean just seeing pharrell say to kanye something to the effect of just like don't lose that mentality when you make it like don't to me i took it as like don't think you got it figured out or don't believe your height like i got here out of trying to figure out what's wrong with my [ __ ] what's not connecting like how could it be better it doesn't mean don't have confidence in it but just be honest like look in the mirror and really look at yourself and tell the truth so that's what i did is just i'm gonna continue to do that figure out how to be better because i know it's not perfect it can never be perfect right but your music let your music express it we want to eat i want to hear it learn from the grace yeah especially you you bumping shoulders especially the early stage of your career already bumping your shoulders with the frills and the drakes and [ __ ] this ain't for no reason you see what i'm saying yeah i need them in rapping forever they only bump to a [ __ ] at the radio station that's it but once you get around these guys this is your time as a young jet in the game to soak it all in and when you leave go be the best superstar that you could ever be yeah huh a lot of people get to this point of success and then it changed the people around them like you know a lot of people get to the point where you can't you know you get successful and they don't want nobody around them they can still tell them the same truths that they was getting told before they blew up do you still keep people around you who can say hey jack man that [ __ ] whack as [ __ ] i do but i can see what happens to people because when i first started experiencing some of the success and some of my homeboys would be like yo i think you should do i didn't like this or i think this is corny i felt this like emotion come out of me like oh you're just you're just saying that or you're hating or you're trying you're trying to be different from the crowd the crowd loves me so you're trying to say this and i started to realize oh this is why people push their day ones away because they get delusional and think that they're hating well really they're just telling the truth so uh that's kind of my mindset now and now i mean i'm surrounded by the people i came up with i have a collective called privacy to everybody yeah i mean you got a gate you got to be your own man you got to gauge it but cause they don't know they're not the ones selling the records and [ __ ] yeah but they ain't mention me on the song [Laughter] man all these [ __ ] man [Music] the way you do it though the way you do it jack what's the next move man it's time to shoot this movie when y'all start shooting oh can you shoot me here asap oh you can't say it yeah asap i'm starting i'm making sure [Music] oh so incredible that's something that came to you or that's something you was looking for as far as the movie isn't there it arrived it came from the [ __ ] were you swooping nah i mean i just got a call from drama one day he was like yo kenya barris once you just star and white men can't jump and i was like which character he said the white one i said i mean [Applause] you're a superstar it's a wrap you got a hit single you better be in a hit movie that's what they all say yeah they wanted me to be um they wanted me to be the wesley snipes character but i was like you know i'd be stranded and try to put you as a black [Music] we appreciate you stopping through the trip though man keep doing your [ __ ] things [Applause] can we get the photograph one more time brother [Music] here
