bibles to joshua joshua 1 8 [Music] and it says here in joshua 1 8 this book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth but thou shalt meditate there in day and night you know something i've learned and what everyone needs to realize is we're meditating on something all the time whether it's doubt unbelief fear whether it's peace joy whatever it is we're meditating on something and i don't think this scripture is leading us to do this for no reason something is getting our attention all the time and if we want the word to work for us in our life effectively we're going to make sure the right thing is in our mouth and that we're meditating on the right thing because what we meditate on is what we will see manifest in our life if we're unhappy with the way our life looks we need to reevaluate what are we meditating on what are we putting our attention on if we're unhappy with where we're at he's given us the authority we have been given the authority he gave us the right to use our words to use our authority hallelujah and when we do that our life will begin to change but we have to evaluate are we meditating on the right thing so it says here do not let this word depart out of your mouth what are you saying with your words because it'll change it'll change things for the good or the better hallelujah so thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written there and you will act on what you believe and what you meditate on what's big on the inside of you that will begin to manifest you will begin to act on those things so if you're unhappy with the way your life looks what are you meditating on what are you meditating on hallelujah aren't you glad we have the opportunity right now to act on his word hallelujah that our answer when we see our answer in the word it's our responsibility to act on it put it in our mouth in our mouth meditate on it all the time people are so used to meditating on their troubles or worrying about stuff and not even caring about it being okay with it just letting it happen because that's just something i'm used to doing don't be okay with habits things that you may feel like are just normal really should be evaluated and say you know this is a bad habit those thoughts don't line up with his word if i want to see his word manifest in my life i need to make sure i'm doing the right thing with this thing right here and this thing up here what am i doing with that because that is showing what you believe that is showing what's big in your heart but if you if you take time just little steps you don't i mean listen bad habits don't get totally cut off right away you're going to have to establish new habits so don't get tripped up when you feel like man i should be further along just start where you're at what are you dealing with up here what do you meditate on the word find your answer in the word focus on that focus on that answer don't try to fix it all in the same time but as you begin to be faithful with his word it will begin to manifest and trickle into every arena of your life so things that were hard for you are now easy things that were overwhelming are not overwhelming anymore but be faithful to focus on one thing and and just work on that don't beat yourself up over because you're not where you entirely want to be in this very moment but just take one step at a time he's faithful he's walking hand in hand with us being patient with us he is patient for a reason he's patient with us so just hold him to his word focus on something and work on it hallelujah because you will look back over your life and you'll say man he took me from that to this only only he could do that amen so be faithful to putting his word in your mouth and keeping your focus on the right thing amen hallelujah and your life will begin to look very different hallelujah his word works but it won't work if we don't do it it's not the word's fault it's not his fault it's our fault you know if you get a new car and you get frustrated because um it's not going anywhere well you have to get in it initiate it turn the key start driving operating the thing learn how to use it and next thing you know you're skillful in driving that car but don't get mad when it's just sitting there do something with it the word is waiting for you to get in operate it use it function it learn be skillful in it and it will work for you and it will accomplish things for you amen so just initiate it do the word do the word it's waiting for you the cheat sheet it's waiting for you it's right here it's in the word thank you father for the light that comes we choose to be doers of it not just hearers and everybody said amen turn around and give three four people around you a great big god bless you then you can be seated hallelujah hallelujah thank you hallelujah praise the lord good evening everyone hallelujah you're awake right okay three of you hallelujah turn with me tonight to first peter chapter two first peter chapter two and we're going to teach on healing tonight because every day we need it i said every day we need it and not only will you need it but someone you're going to come in contact with is going to need it and as we feed on the word we build health in us even if you're not sick by feeding on the healing word it builds health in us amen and it fortifies that flow so we want to make sure that we're tweaking our thinking because sometimes you can just slip into a way of thinking when it comes to healing and just a little bit off the mark is still off the mark so first peter chapter 2 verse 24 it reads who his own self bear our sins in his own body on the tree that we being dead to sins should live unto righteousness by whose stripes she were healed notice in this verse he refers to how in his own body he bore the price for our sin and then it goes on talking about he's made us dead to sin then it says that we're to live unto righteousness and then he talks about healing yes amen uh i want you to see something right in here where it talks about that he bore our sin and freed us from sin the phrase now we should live unto righteousness how many of you know that that's going to affect the next phrase by his stripes we were healed and it that healing is best received by those who are living unto righteousness we cannot persist in living a life of sin and think that health is going to be our flow we've been freed from the power of sin so we set aside sin amen we set it aside and now we come into a life of righteousness it matters how we live when we're receiving healing when you go to receive healing from god it's going to address every arena of your life yes amen to make sure we're living a life of righteousness right now this verse tells us uh when healing was purchased the last phrase by whose stripes we were healed so when stripes were laid on him that was the the purchase of our healing amen amen then you know that before they crucified him stripes were laid on him 39 stripes now the medical industry will tell you that every sickness and every disease falls into one of 39 categories and so so precise and so complete was his bearing of our sickness that he bore every single category that a sickness could be laned under it doesn't matter how many sicknesses or whatever every one of them have been addressed amen amen hallelujah when did this happen before any of us were born this is why the word is so important because the word records things that we weren't around for yes yes amen we did we were not there to witness it so god witnessed it recorded it and said let me tell you what happened long ago for your benefit even though you didn't witness it you can now experience it amen amen that's why the word is so important because god records what he witnessed and we believe his witness we believe what he says about that event amen but god doesn't just god didn't just witness what happened in the earth god witnesses every realm amen he witnesses heaven's realm the realm of earth but the realm of hell amen and he tells us that satan was defeated stripped what was he doing he was he was reporting the witness of what happened in the region of hell when jesus defeated him destroyed him but he also witnesses what goes on in heaven and he records that and the word is a record of what happens in all the realms that we aren't there to witness but we believe his witness about it amen amen now so all jesus did this before we were born again health was purchased before you needed it amen amen your forgiveness was purchased before you needed it your freedom from sin was bought before you needed it what's that mean god's in front of every need of your life he's not behind he's in front of every need amen amen that's why there's no worry because no matter what the need shows up we know that god already addressed it now it's just waiting for us to believe his testimony about it which is believing the word amen and and and attaching our faith to his word attaching our faith to his testimony amen so at the new birth is when it became possible for us to move in to everything that was purchased for us now this purchase as i said happened long before we were born amen now turn with me if you would ephesians chapter 1 ephesians chapter 1 and verse 3. ephesians 1 and verse 3 the king james says blessed be the god and father of our lord jesus christ who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in christ and then my favorite translation of that verse is the gnorley translation that says blessed be the god and father of our lord jesus christ who has blessed us with everything that heaven itself enjoys so heaven enjoys total health heaven enjoys wholeness heaven enjoys a pain-free existence right and so that's what god has already blessed us with not going to already blessed us with because it's part of our redemption package that redemption package is complete it's just waiting for your faith to activate it everything that belongs to you in christ is part of that redemption package not just healing but prosperity peace joy victory yes amen everything that god has purchased it resides in your redemption package and when you became a believer when you were born again then you moved into being able to access that redemption package amen but even though it's yours you still have to access it further daily with your faith amen hallelujah uh all of these things that belong to us because we're in christ we were born into at the new birth we don't have to pray enough to get it read the bible enough to get it we were born into it at the new birth now don't misunderstand me i'm not diminishing prayer and study of the bible but we only study the bible to learn what we've been born into it doesn't cause us to be born into it to study the bible but we study so that we'll know what we're born into and don't live defeated when victory belongs to us so we're not earning anything of this it already is ours it already belongs to us and when you approach every opposition as though i don't have to get anything it's all mine now you handled that opposition differently amen amen i mean just like when i was born i was born a female i didn't have to try to get that born that way now mother had to teach me one of the things she'd say you be a lady she had to teach us what was appropriate as a female amen she would teach my brothers what was appropriate as a male because although you were born that way doesn't mean you're good at being that in your lifestyle right but it was nothing to earn it i was born into it same thing i was born witch i was born prosperous i was born into health and wholeness i was born into it amen i so appreciate uh one testimony that a particular minister was telling that one day he was talking to a jewish man that was quite wealthy a businessman and he said to him tell me how you prospered and the jewish man looked at him and says i don't understand your question he said tell me how you became so wealthy he said i don't understand your question he said how did you acquire so much wealth he said i'm a jew yeah and the man just stood there looking at him he didn't get it in other words to this jewish man jew and prosperity were the same thing the pr the preacher was asking him a question that was separating the two yeah and in the mind of the jew you couldn't separate the two they were the same thing so he said i don't understand your question because you can't ask me how did i get to be a female i don't understand your question that's right i was born that way amen it's the same thing we were born we were born into health we were born into victory at the new birth amen and the devil brings opposition to try to get us in our own thinking to separate ourselves from that we are not separate from health we are not separate from prosperity we're not out trying to make money and get wealthy we are because we're prosperous money must come because we're prosperous businesses must come customers must come the prosperity draws to itself all that belongs to us but if we separate ourselves in our own thinking from these things then we're out trying to get it that's right that's right and that's where the devil is able to rob from us because we don't understand that that's not just what we have that's who we are and this is why that jewish man did not have any any difficulty with prosperity because he realized jew and prosperity was the same word amen amen new creature in christ healed new creature in christ prosperous new creature in christ victorious same thing amen because that belongs to us at the new birth and the devil would love in your own thinking to try to separate yourself from those things so that you try to reach in what you to try to get hold of what you already are therefore missing what you already are yeah amen do you get that i said you get that because that's where the devil dupes so many people in their own thinking they they're trying to be something that he's already made them to be and because they think wrong they talk wrong they believe wrong and their faith doesn't work right amen well pastor nancy you don't understand i have pain in my body you don't understand you're healed there you go amen i'm not saying you don't have pain in your body i'm saying that who you are trumps the pain in your body yes now you need to talk to the pain in your body about who you are tell that pain who you are you can't stay because i am healed i'm not trying to get healed from this pain amen and this is what we need to move into the consciousness of amen amen praise the lord the deception of the enemy is trying to get you to be something right get something earn something pray long enough for it read enough scriptures for it confess long enough to earn it listen it's right to pray it's right to feed on the word it's right to confess the word but not so we can get it but so we can come into the full understanding of what we are amen already yes amen and when you approach something as though you already have it you treat that thing differently you start kicking things around instead of running from them amen amen amen praise the lord listen you say but i don't understand what you're saying pastor nancy because i have pain in my body it may be true that there's pain in your body let me say it this way that that's the wrong wording it's not true it's a fact it's a fact facts change truth is something that never changes never changes every newspaper you read is full of supposed facts false facts accurate facts inaccurate facts whatever you want to call it but tomorrow pick up the paper and it all changes why because all facts changed you you you balance your checkbook last week and there was a certain amount you balance it this week it's a different amount why it wasn't it a fact last week sure it was but facts change they're very changeable based on circumstances truth won't change based on a circumstance amen it never changes truth will not change from day to day week to week life to life it will not change and it might be a fact that your pain there's pain in your body but the truth is that you are the healed you take and you talk about the truth you lay the truth on the fact you tell the fact what the truth says and that fact will change it will change if you will stay with the truth instead of staying with the fact don't stay with the fact in your own thinking that i'm hurting and i'm getting worse stay with the truth that he bought my health i was born into it at the new birth and you hold to that in the face of facts yes and whichever one you hold to is the one that's going to dominate you amen amen hallelujah praise the lord so we're authorized to live with the awareness i'm already healed i'm already healed so the devil would love for you i'm trying i'm trying to be healed i'm trying to get healing he loves those words because he has separated you from who you are by speaking those words by thinking those words amen amen we have to renew our minds i am healed i am the healed just like i'm thus saved and i mean i will say this many times when people get saved they don't feel anything different they don't feel okay i feel salvation no you just somebody told you that if you'll call in the name of the lord you shall be saved the the spirit bore witness with your spirit but you didn't feel anything in your body you couldn't touch anything outwardly to confirm that it was all just in here you just agreed and the spirit bore witness that you were a child of god but it was all in here yes amen then why do you look for your healing out here if everything comes from in here your healing doesn't begin out here your healing begins in here amen so we have what we do is we are the healed we get up and we say i am the healed that's who i am at the new birth i don't have to confess enough to get it read enough to get it now how do you activate it you confess it but it's not by confessing it that makes it yours it's by confessing it that activates what's already yours so yes there is a place for confession but not in trying to get it but in activating what is already yours amen these little tweakings of the mind are huge the way we think about these things and the way we address these things amen you are not the sick trying to get healed you are the healed and symptoms and pain and physical conditions attack you to try to steal the health from you that it's already yours amen now see when you understand it from that direction instead of healing is over here and i'm trying to get to it healing is who you are and symptoms are trying to get to that it all matters what direction you think in that's why so many people in the body of christ have financial problems because they're trying to get prosperous they don't realize that's who they are that's who they are and they think in those terms that that means i don't have to worry about money because i can't how do i worry about being a female that's right that's who i am i'm a female i don't become more of a female because i worried about it when i first got up well you don't become more prosperous because you worried about it when you first got up when you start tweaking renewing the mind tweaking that thinking and to come into agreement with i am prosperous it's not money that makes us prosperous you were born into it at the new birth it's part of your your redemption package and that's why so many people struggle because if god tells them about giving they they get up tight and they don't give why because they're afraid they won't have enough money what's that a testimony to i don't know that i'm prosperous i think i'm trying to get it now i've got to hold on to this money to get it our conversation and our mentality has to change from i'm trying to get this to that's who i am it's who i am amen amen i don't get up in the morning and try to be defrained it's who i am amen well praise the lord now you remember when dad hagan told his testimony of course he was raised up off of his deathbed from an incurable heart condition years later he is in the home of mom and dad goodwin doing meetings at their church and he's staying with him in their parsonage for several days he had heart conditions symptoms that tried to return and he says i've been dead several times i know what that feels like when your heart is trying to quit on you and all these conditions he says i know what that feel that that feels like he said they were alarming heart conditions and he said but about the third day or so of dealing with those he said i just pulled my pulled the sheets up over my head and started laughing at the devil and the devil said to him what are you laughing about and he said i'm laughing at you he said why are you laughing at me he said because you said to me that this is one time you're not going to get your healing and he started laughing and he kept laughing and after a few minutes david said what are you laughing about he says i'd already told you you told me i'm not going to get my healing he said that's right he said this is one time you're not going to get your healing he said devil too late i've already got my healing i'm not trying to get i've already got my healing see he didn't get his healing that night he got his healing jesus bought it when the stripes were laid on him but he moved into it at the new birth amen you see if the devil can always get you in the in the mentality i'm trying to get it i'm trying to get it i'm trying to get it it shows ignorance and we're destroyed by our ignorance that's what the word says amen it's ignorance that destroys us and so the devil was playing this word game with him he was trying to whip him on a technicality of words yeah that's right but dad hagan caught the strategy and he said i'm not trying to get my healing i've already got it but see if you don't build that in you before pain comes you likely won't build it in when you're hurting it'll be more difficult for you to build that you can but i'm just saying you'll struggle with the mind more when you're hurting that's right yes well praise the lord symptoms that come do not change who you are that doesn't change it cannot change who you are amen lack that comes cannot change that you're prosperous can't do it unless you think wrong this is why when some people are not generous toward themselves oh i just you know i just don't want to spend that much money on myself it shows your mind's not your mind's not right in line with the word in line with the word because how do you not want to bless your own life when you are prosperous now i'm not talking about going out and spending beyond your faith but i'm just saying uh if you're not generous with yourself you have an understanding problem amen amen you don't understand that you are prosperous amen praise the lord some people will hear us preach that by his stripes we're healed and then people will say this well why don't i feel healed then you want to know why people ask that question they're carnal yeah that's true what's carnal mean body ruled right they're body ruled they're checking their body to check their redemption they're checking their body to see if they're healed or not amen their body ruled if you check your body to see if you're healed you'll never experience the divine healing that belongs to you because healing divine healing doesn't flow from your body it flows from your your redemption and you have to build on the inside of you the understanding that you are the healed amen if i doubt that i'm healed because of what i feel i'm carnal praise the lord let that one sink in on you he said i want to get up and want to testify i just want to testify today i've been carnal all day i've been swayed by what i've been feeling all day just teasing just teasing don't do it so carnal means you're believing your body more than you're believing what god said to you yeah that's what carnality is yes and you can be carnal in a lot of different ways right turn with me to romans chapter eight romans chapter eight anytime we believe any outward circumstance more than we believe the bible we just have to say it i'm being carnal amen because i'm being ruled by the senses i'm being ruled by what i feel being ruled by what i see romans 8 verse 6 and 7 this is the king james translation it says for to be carnally minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace so to be carnally minded is to be occupied with ev everything of your five senses what you can see feel touch smell handle everything of that that's to be carnally minded you're you're led by everything outward but to be spiritually minded is to be led by what's inward amen amen by the greater one in you by the word you've sown in you amen yes amen now the amplified i want to read the amplified of romans 8 and this is verse 4. romans 8 verse 4 of the amplified it says so that the righteous and just requirement of the law might be fully met in us listen to this who live and move not in the ways of the flesh there are ways of the flesh there are ways of the flesh what are the ways of the flesh the five physical senses what i can feel what i can touch what i can handle what i can see all of that so it says might be fully met in us who live and move not in the ways of the flesh that means we're not dominated and led by those senses but we live and move in the ways of the spirit our lives governed not by the standards and not by the standards and according to the dictates of the flesh but controlled by the holy spirit see the holy spirit is going to talk to you about the word he's going to counsel you and lead you based on the word not based on senses yes to follow the holy ghost you're going to have to go against your flesh to go with the word you're going to have to go against your flesh you know when i became a pastor one of the things just my own natural makeup my own natural temperament i am not confrontational i'm not high strung i'm not you know up in the rafters i'm just um i'm just pretty even keel probably a little on the lower side you know but having lived with my husband for almost 30 years that raised my level because he was like up in the rafters he was everything was speedy speedy speed he had to be done yesterday so he brought my pace up he brought my speed level up a little bit but still i just don't go to the wild extremes but my husband just in his makeup he was confrontational i don't know if you ever got to be around and see that but brother he was confronted he didn't bat an eye if somebody did something brother he was all up in the business and me i just ignore it you know that's why i you know growing up i didn't get in fights i didn't have any i didn't have issues with people why because i ignored them i don't care i just don't care what you say what you think what you guys don't care well if ed didn't care he was he had let him know he didn't care he was more confrontational he was just more you know in your face but when i became a pastor i couldn't just let things float on by because in your life things might just go away if you fl just let them float on by but in a church they don't always do that you're going to have to address things that need to go away problems issues all kinds of things so i learned early on that if i was going to be a successful pastor i had to become confrontational i had to become what i was not and i spent that all through my 30 my 25 years of pastoring i spent that there were times i had to call people in and we just gave them a god bless you why to keep the family safe when they when someone tried to touch the family i had to keep the family safe i had to pastor based on the word and not based on my personality i had to go against my my natural flesh to pastor based on the word and i did every time i did amen i can say honestly there was never a time that something needed confronting that i didn't confront it and i told god i said my i'm going to confront problems and if you don't want me to you better stop me why because i knew i had to take that approach to get past my flesh i didn't just sit back and pray god would do something god did do something about the problems in the church he gave he gave you a pastor amen and so god expected me to do something when things needed to be held in order when things need to be held in place to keep the church family safe so i had to pat to pastor successfully and in 25 years we never had a church split we never even came close to a church split why because of the help of the holy ghost and pastoring based on the word and not pastoring based on my flesh if you're going to try to be healed based on your flesh you won't be healed you got to be healed based on the word amen amen just like i had to go against my flesh to pastor you're going to have to go against your flesh to be healed yes you're going to have to go against your flesh to live prosperous because your flesh will say no you don't and your and your body when it comes to pain will say no you're not healed and you have to go against your flesh to obey god to believe his word and to not live carnally yes amen amen well praise the lord and we can go against our flesh when we understand what the word says that we are the healed we are the prosperous this is not who we're trying to be that's who we are and we refuse to allow circumstances to steal from who we are and try to redefine us in a way that's not in the light of the word amen amen amen praise the lord verse 8 romans chapter 8 verse 8 and the amplified says this so then those who are living the life of the flesh catering to the appetites and the impulses of their carnal nature cannot please or satisfy god or cannot be acceptable to him why it's not acceptable to god for us to side him with our flesh when the word tells us something different that's not acceptable amen god will not manifest your flesh the testimony of your flesh he will only manifest his word in our lives and if we just talk about i'm just i'm just hurting and i'm getting worse if we do that god can't manifest that why because god moves at faith and it has to be faith in his word and not someone who is catering to the way they're flesh and they're always talking about the flesh if you i so appreciate one one of the things about my mother is my mother was not an emotionally dominated woman she did not like emotions that that that made people up one day down the neck she didn't believe in that and i'm so appreciative of that that as children she would not allow us to behave based on ups and downs of the flesh she didn't put up with it and as christians we have to learn not to put up with that in ourselves based on the word the word will never turn make you up down up down up down it makes you consistent why because it teaches you what to believe and when you know what to believe it doesn't matter what shows up amen so we have to realize uh that to be body ruled will cost us something amen we've got to learn to quit talking about our i i you know i'm not a big fan of let's get together in a room and talk about our feelings i don't care about your feelings i don't care about my feelings you got to train yourself not to be not to be caring about the carnal side life god gave you all of the capacity for these feelings but not so they can dominate you but so they can add color to who you are yes but not so they can lead you praise the lord body ruled people are not faith people carnal people are not walking by faith why is it say that they're not pleasing to god because it pleases god to work in our behalf and when we're being carnal body ruled he can't work in our behalf and it displeases him when he can't work in our behalf not that he's mad at us it robs him from being the blesser he is amen for us to be carnal and talk about what i feel the pain i'm going through i so appreciate one minister he was going to visit someone who was diagnosed with terminal cancer and they were really in the last stages and as he was going there he he said to god he said tell me how to help them to believe because you know people can go in there and say bless god buy his stripes your he'll get up from there well that's truth but can they grab that you've got to offer it to you've got to offer things to people in the way they can grab it yes it's the truth that by his stripes you're healed and if you understood the fullness of that and were walking and had your mind renewed fully to that you could get up and walk off that thing but people are all at different levels of believing all different levels of faith and so you have to present it in a way that they can take hold of it and not be pushed down for not walking as jesus has paid for them to walk amen so he had something to come up into his heart so he went to that person and they said you know brother he said uh i'm i'm so weak i'm so i'm just so weak and i mean he said they were really just talking in a whisper and he said i understand that what's he saying that's a fact he's not denying that they're feeling that but he said but the bible says let the weak say i'm strong so instead of talking about what you're feeling let's talk about what he says so he said i want to offer you this one thing today all i want you to do is start beginning to say i'm strong i'm strong i'm strong not trying to get it yeah that's right i'm strong i am that strength is there but weakness had robbed them of the strength that was theirs you see they're not trying to get strength they've got to get weakness off their strength how do you get it off by saying i'm strong and he said i i don't want you to think about the weakness you're feeling what's he saying i don't want you to be carnal-minded i don't want you to be carnal-minded i don't want you to be body-ruled i want you to say i'm strong and he said don't even think about healing don't even think about the pain you're in all i want you to do is say i'm strong i'm strong so said he said i'm going to be back in a few days he said when they came back they said he said their voice was at full volume normal level why because strength strength began flowing because they started becoming mindful of truth instead of fact yes and so the truth overrode the fact changed the fact of weakness into the truth of strength amen the next time they went he went back and they were encouraged because they could feel their body gaining strength but see they didn't feel their body gaining strength until they quit quit focusing on the body they started focusing on the strength that was theirs instead of the weakness they were feeling body ruled is being mindful of the feelings yes amen so the next time he went back uh he said are you in pain they said yes i'm in pain okay jesus paid for your pain so all i want you doing now is saying thank god i'm free from pain he said let's not let's not even dress the cancer don't even dress a tumor don't even dressing that let's just talk about that you have no more pain now see you get in the middle ring you go well wait the reason i got pain is because they got tumor and if you don't get rid of the tumor you better stop all the business of figuring out what you can't figure out it's what can they grab hold of you don't have to go all listen miracle power bypasses all natural processes anyway so he got her focusing on thank you father he bore my pain he bore my pain thank you that i have no pain so see took one bite at a time just one bite at a time and it really wasn't too terribly long just a matter of weeks and they were up and out of that bed and everything had changed and healing had begun working in their body why because he didn't try to change everything at once he tried he just helped him change one thing at a time that they could grab hold of so i say this grab hold of this this this reality and the truth of it that you are the healed regardless of what you feel regardless of what you see you are the healed yes amen praise the lord i said praise the lord what god provides for us let's just stay with the healing topic your body needs healing healing power does not flow through the avenue of the body everything that comes from god is spiritual it's not natural the body's a natural thing the body is a physical thing everything that god has made you to be flows through your spirit healing flows through the avenue of the spirit and changes the body it does not flow from the body it flows from the spirit into the body the body is the recipient of it of healing power it is not the source of it so people will check their body to see if they're healed but that's not the source the source is the word and who you are in christ is in your spirit man so to walk in health you have to be mindful of your spirit not your flesh because divine healing flows to your body through your spirit see now medical science flows through the body to the body because they can't touch they don't have access to your spirit they can't they cannot touch your health through your spirit so all they can deal with is the body but that's why it's not total the help isn't total that's why the health isn't help isn't complete but when god heals he heals through the spirit this means this he'll start addressing your love walk he'll start addressing the way you think he'll start addressing how you talking to your spouse why because it's flowing from your spirit and it will affect every arena amen amen he's going to deal with things that have been in the way blocking the healing flow from reaching your need amen and so this is where people miss it and they become body ruled and they become carnal is because they're checking their body instead of checking the word instead of checking their spirit amen because healing fl you lay hold of it with your spirit before it ever shows up in your body amen you got to lay hold of it i am the healed and when you lay hold of that with your spirit it it will become a non-issue to you about your body when your spirit has gotten hold of it i mean nothing that goes in your body affects you i mean there there have been times that i would needed to receive something from god and i was i had received the answer with my spirit and i was so certain and i was so sure and i had a handle on that with my spirit that when it the answer finally manifested it was anti-climactic yeah that's right showing up in the natural was a anti-climactic because the rejoicing and the reality of it dawned on me in my spirit first and i was so sure and i was so certain and i was so confident that it had to show up and so when it had went so when it did show up i go yeah i knew you had to show up because i was i had it in my spirit see in your spirit it has to dawn on you that you're the healed in your spirit it has to dawn on you that you're the prosperous that you're the victorious it has to dawn on your spirit so that you'll quit trying with your flesh to get something there he is praise the lord this is why paul said in ephesians 1 verse 17 that god would give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation and the knowledge of him the eyes of your spirit being enlightened that you may know what is the hope of his calling what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints and what is exceeding greatness of his power to us word who believe he's saying when this stuff dawns on your spirit you're done struggling you're done trying to in the natural in the carnal realm in the physical realm trying to win yeah you win from here you win from the inside of you your your victory is authored in your spirit amen we're spirit people we're not carnal people amen praise the lord now romans 8 and verse 12 the amplified says this so then brethren we are debtors not but not to the flesh we are not obligated to our carnal nature we have a carnal nature but we're not obligated to it yes we have a body we feel things just like everybody else but we're not obligated to it amen it's like when ed went home to be with the lord and i this is one thing i told our congregation we are not obligated to respond to my husband's homegoing like those who don't know what we know those who don't know what we know will fall apart and become depressed and get sad and i'm not mocking that i'm just saying but when you know something it changes how you respond out in this scene realm amen and in verse 12 of romans 8 paul said so then brethren we are debtors but not to the flesh we are not obligated to our carnal nature to live a life ruled by the standards set up by the dictates of the flesh why we have something higher offered to us to live based on the spirit live out of our spirits amen amen because the new birth was imparted to your spirit salvation was imparted to your spirit healing was imparted to your spirit prosperity was imparted to your spirit victory was imparted to your spirit he doesn't impart it to the flesh he imparts it to the spirit and it flows out of the spirit and affects the flesh but everything of god's best is in your spirit every christian who died premature died with health in them every christian who went broke went broke with prosperity in them why it's in their spirit and i don't try to push people down by that but it's to wake us up to all we need in this life is in us because he is in us and we are in him and we've got to quit reaching and thinking and measuring by these outward terms of what my body feels or what it doesn't feel yeah amen morgan and i were talking about it again today one of the when when ed went home to be with the lord one of the things i said to my kids is i said one of the best things ed did for us is he taught us how to live on the edge of nothing it felt like the edge of ruin at times but he taught us how to get on the edge and see nothing out there and keep going what's that mean you're living by your spirit you're not living by what you can see in your flesh and about what you can measure and what you can touch and what you can hold and how much money you can count to see if it's going to work and i said that is the one of the greatest things that he did for us he kept us on the edge it really was the edge of glory but at times it felt like the edge of ruin to the spirit it's the edge of of greatness but to the flesh it feels like the edge of you know it depends on which which one you're going to live and people who don't like the way it feels on the flesh they'll get off the edge they'll get way back they won't even get on the edge of where god's stretching them to they'll live back where they they just don't they're not advancing amen praise the lord so we just we want to live on the edge because we're not trying to comfort our flesh our our spirit has all victory all help all answers and it's not risky you know what's risky he's living carnal there's a risk living spirit-minded living mindful of what his deposited and made yours and made one with your spirit we are one with the father everything of him is mine yes amen that's right so i'm not trying to say you don't feel things i'm not trying to say you don't see things i'm trying to say there's something higher to be led by yes praise the lord hallelujah i said hallelujah praise the lord people may say well pastor nancy you say i'm the healed then how come my body is hurting well first of all we've got to not be carnal right remember what it said about abraham he considered not his own body now dead neither yet the deadness of sarah's womb remember but he gave glory to god what would he turn to his spirit instead turn into his flesh and that's what carnality does is it holds you in the flesh but spirituality holds you in your spirit you're mindful of your spirit but if you came to my house and my pantry was fully stalked and i tell guests in my house if you need something to eat of the kitchen you better go get it because i can cook for you but you can't eat it but i said anything you can you can see you can have but you can't have it if you don't get up and go get it amen everything you need in this life your spirit is fully stocked but you're going to have to access it yes yes people say well if i'm healed how come how come i'm sick because what you're stalked with has to be accessed it's faith that accesses it amen because you can sit in a house where there's food and still be hungry can you not how many times growing up did i do and did you do you walked in i opened the refrigerator and said there's nothing neat in here and the refrigerator's full what you meant where there was no twinkies ding dongs and cupcakes that's what you meant everything in here has to be cooked everything in here has to be combined right well everything of god's word has to be combined too it has to be combined with your faith and when you add your faith to it you're gonna serve up something good to eat praise the lord thank god for that victory is yours victory is yours prosperity is yours healing is your that's not just what you have that's that makes up who you are hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah praise the lord so we're not going to be carnal i said we're not going to be carnal then you'll have people and i've you know like i said i pastored over 25 years so i've heard this at times during the during that time and i've had other pastors you know i've been on the road and had people say it to me pastor nancy i'm getting ready to the doctor believe with me for a good report um no no no no that's not the problem the problem is your mind's not renewed yet you're waiting for the doctor to give you a good report jesus already gave you a good report take that report to the doctor take that report to the doctor with you and then when the doctor if he says something less than what you want to hear you're not swayed because you already took the good report with you and if they don't testify to it yet don't worry they'll be okay they'll testify later i can't tell you the number of times i've heard through the year just believe with me for a good report they're waiting for the doctor to to agree with the body because they're believing the testimony of the body and the all the doctor can't agree with is your body he can't agree with your spirit he does not know what's in your spirit he can only agree with your body but the word is for your spirit so in your spirit you say thank god for the good report and when the doctor says nothing's changed oh god thank you that i still have the good report and when you open up your checkbook nothing's changed or the big or the minus sign got bigger thank you father i opened up this checkbook with a good report see the good report has to be in you god already gave it to you but you have to make that report yours i said you have to make that report yours settle yourself on that report before you go listen to what other reports are because if you're not now how listen we've all been there we've all been there when the report of something else unsettled us what's that a sign of we need to get more settled on god's report that's what that's a sign of we need to settle it more we need to get so firm in this so certain so sure that i have the good report i have already the good report whether it's my finances whether it's my business whether it's my family whether it's my body no matter what it is i have a good report don't let it be said believe with me that the doctor will give me a good report because what if he what if he changes right and see then you cast away your confidence yeah yeah yeah that's true that's right god gave us the easy part just agree that he is who you he says you are amen amen he's already blessed me with everything that heaven isn't he's already blessed me with it he's already blessed me with it and everything out here that doesn't testify of that it's going to change every bit of it every bit of it's going to change every bit every bit every bit every bit of it's going to change and i don't have to get it to change i just have to get it bigger in me of who i am what i have and what i can do faith is not an issue when you're settled on who you are in christ get that that's the truth that needs to be so anchored in us needs to be so big in us amen because ev let me tell you everything that's out here can change in a moment in a moment in a moment in a a fraction of a millisecond the natural can change that quick what takes time for the insides to change the mind to change that's what takes time not time on god's part time on our part you remember when dad hagan was was on his deathbed for 16 long months but once he settled it once he saw it and settled it in him i see it i've got to believe that i'm healed while my body is still lying here paralyzed he said i see that when he saw it he raised his hands and said it got up out of the bed and said it and just like hot oil hit him at the top of the head oozed over him and his body instantly healed see it doesn't take long once it's settled what can take long is settling it yes it doesn't have to take long it depends on how much we give ourselves to the word the more we give ourselves to the word the more the word is settled in us amen the more we talk about put that word in our mouth the more it settles us on that every day you have to resettle yourself amen amen you have to just settle yourself down i mean did your parent ever say my mother just just settle yourself down do you ever hear that growing up just settle down we need to settle down amen when when we're feeling something settle down settle down on what on the on our on the word in our spirit settle down before you pray get things settled in your spirit don't go to prayer and try to settle it let the word settle it and then go pray and then it'll be effective praying amen amen praise the lord i said praise the lord hallelujah we already have everything that our life is going to call for all the help all the answer has already been assigned to us it's already it's already been made hours but we've refused to derail and be led by our feelings be led by our flesh act like the word isn't true amen we can't change things out here we can just settle ourselves here and that flow out of us remember what jesus said there will be like a spring that flows up a fountain that flows up living water flowing up that's what changes out outward things is when you get full and that starts you out of that fullness it starts springing up and it starts at changing your finances it starts changing your marriage and it starts changing your children changing your finances and changing your business and changing your health amen because everything that god has for your life flows through your spirit not through your body don't check your body but it flows through your spirit amen hallelujah we're spirit people yes we're spirit people amen and aren't you glad yes that gives us the best life well stand with me to your feet tonight father we're so grateful for the word we are so grateful that you've given us the best way to live and we choose to live the best life say this with me say jesus jesus thank you thank you for the great price that you paid for us [Music] i receive all that you made mine you made it mine it became mine at the new birth so i thank you thank you that from the new birth help is in me salvation is in me [Music] they're in me everything that heaven enjoys it's mine now and i choose to live aware of who i am in you i am in you and i thank you that that flow is so great in me that says amen when we're having something different than what he says it's because we're believing something different than what he says because jesus said so be it done unto you according to your faith
