It Finally Happened! How Will the FJ45 Ultimate Rock Crawler Perform On It's Maiden Voyage??

yeah it's pretty awesome i'm stoked this thing i'm happy with it you guys ready we're ready we're ready are you ready i'm ready let's go let's go man all right today's the day yep we're about to where we need to be about to the fairgrounds where everyone's meeting i don't really know what to expect but we're about there we're about what 70 done probably 80. but we're doing it it's not done but we're still gonna go have fun out on the trails as long as it stays running we are am i gonna freeze to death that's my main concern right now i don't know that you're gonna freeze to death but you might be cold i brought this just in case all right ours is 65 to 70 ready to roll let's see how she does in the cold it's not that cold oh yeah i'm tired not at all good thing i brought a blanket that's all i know all right where do i need to be i see you we'll be there in a second hi matt good morning we got some great air conditioning in this thing yeah no way it got done it's not done but it's not enough we'll see if i'm getting drunk home by darshan it wasn't done enough what do you think i like it i'll take it i've driven it the doors and back that's as far as i've made it we weighed it how heavy is it what do you think 42 it's uh like 47. i put the old heater box in them but there's no fan motor on it so it's just a radius yeah just radiant heat in the cab i guess if it gets bad i'll run the the blower hose up and through we can just blow air through it as we're driving we get some heat if you like driving a loader at 50 it's pretty good and we're off we're going i should have brought our fabric yeah no doubt we're here that's all that matters well we're here and she's driving so far what's the consensus well we've gone about four miles and we're still running i got a exhaust leak that's developing and i think it's missing on one cylinder it feels like so maybe a long day we'll see maybe early short day get in sparkle farts we've got chaos to spread oh i thought this would be a manual it's not a match he's been messing with a whole bunch of things this whole time and i don't even know what is it twin stick yeah that's skid breaks and then it's try stick on that i'm glad all right so you've got high high low high low low extra low low wow yep that's what you got you're all aired down yeah you're all here we go and we are on a dirt road this is the first time i've driven this old girl on dirt so we figured out the trail this is the east rim trail that we're doing never been on it it's sand ball yep so we'll uh let you know how it is hopefully we find some rocks i want to test it in the rocks [Music] [Music] our trail leader seems to have something wrong with his jeep i'm glad you could go your pace for a minute for just a second i don't think this is a good omen when our trail leader breaks down first yeah definitely not we got it here this is the last one you got all your bolts you need yeah oh we're missing a bolt i think we're good we're we've got two out of three [Applause] this is the first obstacle we're going down oh it's pretty sketchy i feel so nice out here now dar's doing it too huh [Music] all right trevor is currently driving up jamie's jeep trevor it's rendered you got to drive it like that and then you get to fix it me and paul have a debate going on right now we got this noise it's the iac on this thing idle air control is out of adjustment so it's squealing and michelle thinks it's making a high-pitched squeal and i say it's making a vacuum noise so what does your noise sound like more like a to me it sounds like like it's kind of a higher pitch what do you guys think i should have gotten adjusted before today but i ran out of time stupid i act cows all the time i needed to adjust that i mean it wasn't that important so but it's pretty important right now because it's annoying isn't it just super awesome though that like this is out on the channel yeah it's pretty awesome i'm stoked this thing i'm happy with it we got some bugs to work out it's missing a little probably bad spark plug we'll figure that out tonight and have we're ready to roll tomorrow but drives good handle's good wheels good i think we haven't really willed it yet i know there's a lot of work left to do but it feels pretty good to just be driving it right now [Music] lunch is over we're heading now do you like your sandwich seems to be working we're just in between half and a quarter after wheeling all day so things are looking pretty okie dokes that looks like it should go to where we're going let's try the alternate somebody got sideways in the dunes but we got rudy back there and john and alan from yanking ropes so we're not going to turn around and try to go rescue them because i think they're in good hands they are in good hands we got all the peeps here so the trail ride was pretty much all oh my gosh oh this is rough we should have stuck to the dunes anyways it was pretty much over and we had to like skedaddle out a little early because jace has a basketball game tonight that we got to get home to kids come first yeah cancer first always so here we go how do you think today went they went pretty good truck worked pretty awesome done everything i asked it to made it back to the trailer barely blew an exhaust manifold gasket out we got to change that tonight throw some spark plugs in it see if she'll uh come back to life it started running pretty rough yeah i got a basketball game to go to and then do a little wrenching but it won't be bad it's not a big job so [Music] so day two of the winter 4x4 jamboree it was a late night late night everything's fixed up so four dead spark plugs and a manifold gasket she's good as new again so it sounds good runs good i think we'll make sure another day of it we are headed to gun lock i don't think this trail is very hard really i think it's kind of a scenic trail is what we're headed to but i don't know never been on it should be a good day we're about to gun lock reservoir just getting close to where we're gonna park this rig and fire up the fun one on the back and drive it or michelle's gonna drive it today the more bear needs something on it to make it look a little better so i think i got something to make it look better yep that looks way better so yesterday we got a little thing on our windshield that made it really cold in my face the wind blew right into my face so we have a really good idea we're fixing it this should cover it up shout out to bleeping jeeps band-aids so we're day two matt are you excited i'm super excited i'm not as tired as i thought i was going to be ask paul what his gas gauge is currently reading it's i got 45 miles paul's practicing to be a full-on legitimate off-road recovery guy he's got to start running out of fuel we got rory here too with us today his truck looks like it needs a little more a little more stuff on it as well we'll make that real pretty too i came over and videoed your truck and then you weren't there oh sorry you guys say hi to everybody hi everybody we came all the way from moab you look a lot better in that driver's seat than paul does hey paul you gonna get the experience of backseat driving now yeah i'm gonna tell her everything she's doing wrong the question is is did you do a name all them parts in there yet she's gonna know by the end of will want to go with somebody else do you want to jump in with um so far this isn't bad i can handle this kind of off-roading a new development apparently dar has dropped drive shaft in his jeep and he didn't know about it we didn't know about until just barely we're clear up the trail there's not much going back and helping him at this point so good luck dar hoping to get that handled you know i thought we should turn around and go back paul said door could handle it though he can handle it plus we'd have to wait for 30 people to come by us and by the time they did that he'd have it loaded on the trailer because i guess he wasn't far from the trailer when it happened so we'll just keep pressing on here [Music] we met up with randall and tell me what you just told me papadar broke his rear driveline and i was like what we gonna do now because he said he's going back and everybody's like oh you can bail in with us you can bail in with me i'm like pretty girl i'm gonna go bella but yeah send it ruby go check her out on instagram i feel like i got i'm a hen and i found all my chickens texting and driving kills i got demoted michelle's a driver now so i'm number two cameraman he's update we just got done eating lunch and apparently this is the end of the road you'll notice i'm still not driving i've been kicked out of the driver's seat today all day and michelle has willed this basically were just having a good old time papador frogged on it a couple of times and it broke his yoke right up by where the transfer case is and so driveline hit the bottom a couple of times hard and he's like i think we just broke something i'm like dar we definitely broke something then i bailed in with send it ruby and away we went we're heading with rory he just got a call for somebody that broke down at the maze yeah we may be headed up there to do a little welding so anyways i'll be in the truck editing some videos for your viewing pleasure while they're out having fun fun somebody's got to be the responsible adult all right so we're just out looking for some rocks basically so we can test this thing a little bit it's sick it's not running good but we want to see how it we'll be there in no time just a little detour no big deal we took the wrong turn we're coming up on the trailer we're currently at stooky farms apparently there's stuff going on there's like a core flagged out oh that was horrible well you get up there and show me better let's see it holy smoking you did horrible holy smokies not enough fun fun you can see the hill come [Music] we didn't keep score but we're fairly certain that i won no no no you're all winners in my book because i'm estimating under 200 for all of you i was straight cheating i think it's more like bowling i bowled there's the man right there that beat us all handily dar probably got second the rest of us cheated our way to the end [Music]
