How Did This Happen?! DISASTER STRIKES One Of Fab Rat's Own!

the whole truck went sideways down the side of the road here we go look at this so Trail hero time we gotta get this thing ready to go we got to take the top off of her put soft top on it and I got a little radiator that's going to go under the back to try to keep this thing cooler so we'll give it a whirl see if we can get all these things done and go hit some trail all right so we've been fighting the old heating issues on the FJ for forever really we're hoping this adds or takes away from our heating problem so it's just a little a little cooler we're gonna try to find a place underneath to mount this thing so it's going to add a gallon and a half of water and a couple of fans that we can kick on and hopefully this will do it let's see if we can seek out a spot that it'll fit I'm kind of thinking about back here under the fender right here somewhere maybe we'll uh throw it on the Hoist and lift it up so we're not setting under there we got some investigating to do [Music] figure out why that was leaking out on the flashlight on me sure like to know what that beeping noise is in the shop I was getting fairly annoying I don't know what it is but there's something over in that area of the shop that's been beeping for a couple days and I can't figure it out what are you doing that one okay this little chip and this battery it randomly just go and hide it or something yeah randomly chirps [Music] it counts not every 30 minutes it'll go an hour 15 so it sets itself so we're gonna stick on top of the toolbox and see how long I like that and we'll see how long it takes hey that's my that's my fuel leak right there it looks like that thing's cut that sucks why not add some more to our plate we'll Tank's coming out we'll fix that too don't rightly know where it needs to go we'll get back to you on this one this this could work right here I mean it's possible that this could be the spot do a little Drilling and tapping and mounting right there and run some heater hose I'm afraid that if I Mound it this way it's just going to fill full of dirt and Cake it wear this way may have a better chance of dirt not getting in it all right six and a half hours later all right back on the the FJ Ben's finally here after a slight detour this morning we had a little detour yeah the Jeep's junk and uh the trailer's junk so bad yeah Ben is uh gonna be rebuilding the Jeep pair I guess if he's going to be Wheeling quicker than I wanted to yeah so Ben brought his Jeep down go to Trail hero and uh it made it almost to Beaver before it was close disaster struck so yeah you'll see those pictures now you'll see though yeah that Jeep's kind of toasted oh it's great it's been everywhere [Music] [Music] oh pretty good twist in that one we can take that out of it I guess something failed the hitch is still latched we haven't even messed with the pin still in it still latched came off somehow and then one safety chain broke and it pitched the trailer sideways and then it rolled down the freeway after that so the spare tire and that hit him hit the back of his truck and poked this through his truck and then we just cartwheel Trail here too lightly used they'll buff out and I need it I need a tailgate too it has an air conditioning home holy holy cow yeah trailer back [Laughter] it happens I got on the side of the road just a little bit and I think the ball came off which I don't know how it's pinned and I know when I loaded it last night I pulled up on the trailer and it lifted my truck up and moved it so it was hitched it just came off and it drove clear to Beaver and then it came off to the side there went off the side and whipped the whole truck went sideways down the side of the road and then went back straight I got it straight and then to a stop and I looked back and everything was tied into a ball and there was a hole in the back of the truck I'm like oh well it came through but you know here we go look at this [Music] huh it's time to rebuild obviously peace at a time now Ben's okay and that's really awesome good job I had my safety glasses on even we're good it was a quick stop you survived the wreck no they're everywhere in the bed I know you know that's the worst thing right here look at this oh no I broke my RC car oh man and this Jack bent that threw it across the road along with that tire my tools were scattered all down the road but you're all right but we're all good so on with the next one I'm done with my stuff let's see so I guess now we're just gonna take and uh pull the fuel tank it's this one get this one so we can take it we at least gotta have one gotta have one so what we're doing here if you remember when we went to the Easter Jeep Safari my fuel pump came off so the fuel pump fell off the pickup in the tank we gotta drop the tank pull the cover off put the pump back on it and put it back in that's the problem we ain't got no gas so and we've discovered in there that the fuel line was getting ate by the gas so we're gonna take it off fix it I have another grommet that's leaking on this side so we're just some preventative maintenance is what we're doing right now all right well we got taps how much gas is in this ah three quarters of course yeah yeah that's that's how we roll the hardest possible way to get it out that's why not huh well it's down that mangled thing oh yeah [Music] now all fuel tanks are that easy to get out that's why I put a Jeep one in it just so it was maybe we'll get something and blow that off [Music] hey is that the one Matt did yeah [Music] did he find the gasket it looks kind of stressed out but it's definitely in there don't break it gotta chill out Paul did it you guys didn't say a thing you guys are bullying me I'm blaming him brother it was me or not Matt broke that Matt broke it we gotta try to get a new rig built for winter 4x4 now we'll get one done okay see this little hose a little victim that's oh it's swelling up yeah it's about ready to go again it's in bad shape so I saved one for that I'll bring it over here and let it leak on the table so these are little rollover vents this is why it was leaking fuel that's broke so we'll pull it out of there and put a new one in it junk one new good one we'll get that stuck in there should solve our Pro our leaking problem when we get it up on a hill like that it was dumping fuel out the back so this will fix it come on you know you want to go in there let me go get some grease and put on this and then pop it in and we're fixed in and fixed Ben will get that other piece put on and we'll go back together bang that was like on cue oh yeah that thing was failing wasn't it you're about to blow yeah that's that was bad and this is actually high pressure and for fuel it's a little bad just like so I'm gonna check them with the hand ratchet make sure they're good click okay we'll get the hook on it we'll be done what do you hear that uh a beeping noise is there a weird beeping noise there seems to be a weird beeping noise you wouldn't have anything to do with that would you I've only been hunting for it for like uh a week now I was getting fairly annoying I don't know what it is but there's something over in that area of the shop it's been beeping for a couple days and I can't figure it out maybe two weeks been a while I could show you something over here by your toolbox well I know what's over by my toolbox I've I've narrowed it down to that corner let's see if you light a guy on fire one time one time look there's this little there's this little Cricket that jerks makes all kinds of fun noises I thought it was like a fire alarm that was half dead I'm I can't even have a fire alarm in my shop how long's it been there two weeks yeah wow I would even notice it until I'm down here by myself and it's all quiet I'm like he's gonna go crazy what is that I hope he doesn't shoot me when you guys are all sitting right here eating lunch yeah it went off and me and Ben just slowly looked at each other that's all right he coming he came and saved me so I had to tell him right there fun little chirpers guess what we're gonna do now we're gonna get Michelle with it hang out I think we're good I think we put it back in this new hose on there what about that one I did put the Tang in there okay let's show that back in there anything else we need to service while we got the tank out I think you've uh thank you got her okay well just you never know once we get up and get the lines close then I'll cut these to fit and there we go okay all right this is convenient I'd give you one but mine are on the highway scattered on the side of the freeway you'll get that sometimes it does happen no more gas smelling when you tip it on its side I hope okay I think liner up and Boulder in and bolts she's there and who designed this I don't know he was a genius whoever it was pretty good fuel pump r r right there yeah he designed it to work on because he figured he was going to be working on it quite a bit yeah done all right so what we got going on here my valve covers are leaking oil they have from day one and we're uh sick of it so we're got some new cover gaskets we're gonna tear them off of here and throw some new ones on it see if we can fix that wheelie [Music] you got some stuff in the way jeez this is ridiculous it's like so tight and miserable and Nothing fits [Music] okay [Music] looks like I'm gonna need some cleaner because there's some sand in there how did that get in there it's a sand [Music] about to have this one off all right I don't know what what the skinny is but leaking uh known reason I think it's the horsepower I believe somewhere leaking horsepower it'll be fun when it's all plugged up oh yeah the easiest way to get those off cut them yeah too bad they don't have green ones green ones never leak they're never late they'd be good forever because they're just not bad crazy thing they just leave they're just leak so I guess technically they are bad but they just don't look bad see anything wrong in there why they would leak you know I'm just making sure all clips and stuff are still clipped and the never sees any RPM hardly ever light use only we put good parts in there so hey I'm interrupting this video really fast to remind you guys that there is only seven shut too quick this idle air control does that we're going to try it we've drilled a hole in the front we've tuned on it still does it so we're hoping this little doodad fixes it you put those in with love and new Loving Care okay I just wasn't forceful enough I was afraid to break something oh yeah I'm okay if you break it given your track record today I'm stopping I'd be concerned too stopping it's amazing they got water and water as long as it goes in there and seals who cares that's kind of what I'm thinking I might guess we'll know real quick if it doesn't work [Music] we did get it to Sand Hollow all right it's morning it's early morning early morning we're headed for Sand Hollow we'll go Wheeling today and see how that turns out hopefully better than yesterday turned out it
