record what track jumps out at you is the one that you're proudest is now in popular culture again because of you that's pretty good you know ask a question the Japanese artist Thomas eenie ahoy who the theme for battles without honor and humanity that we use is sort of like Oh Ren's theme as she comes into the house of blue leaves with her her entourage [Music] the fact that this was in this one Japanese movie a few people outside in Japan the only reason I thought is is the remake of another Japanese movie ko fight with that jingyan that I was always a fan and I didn't love the remake that they did of it in the 90s but that piece of music was amazing and so I got it and we put it on there and the fact that that has almost become to killbill theme or it's it's it's people walking in slow motion badass badassery is almost the theme to it and like they used it in Team America for where like when the team gets together or when they use it for Shrek 3 and all the Disney Princesses get together and then they play the battles without honoring humanity theme as they walk triumphantly they kick everybody's ass oh my god I cannot believe that this is passed on in to Shrek and marionettes that's what you know you've made it yeah is it ever strange where it must be so much fun to see your influence pop up across pop culture there's a group that make music call Yolanda be cool no I do not know that that's a cool name well there you go there's the confused Travolta meme which is just everywhere right now yeah it's just everywhere that you know obviously fun-loving criminals it goes on and along where's the strangest place you've seen on that's what I mind Oh what am i doing there cuz you've got the simpsons obviously after that as soon as EDD gets here the party will begin rightly I mean even like something like Kung Fu Panda is just a straight-up parody of Kill Bill when you focus on kung fu you suck the way to get through to you is with this have a dumpling Wow in every way you go you can get your liver ah gee I mean like obviously they saw it obviously it's written in the script it's a straight-up parody in Kill Bill [Music] [Applause] Kung Fu Panda 5 and a TV show and you'll go where's my back end on that but never mind son of the month they're doing me a favor they're giving me pop-up culturally-relevant priceless priceless yes that's more than me opening what is it if we jump to pulp fiction what is it I just want to ask you what's the most wackadoo suggestion that people have come up to you with and said I know what's in the suitcase it's this oh wow so what I think is [Music] beautiful damn it what is it well I I don't have a really good answer for that because unfortunately the whole idea why I didn't tell people what was in the suitcases so they would come up with it on their own but nobody wants to do that they just want to know what I think and I don't give a damn what I think I want to know what other people think I've had a million people ask me what's in the suitcase but I have no I I don't think I've had five people tell me what they think is in the suitcase Elvis's gold suit is it the Holy Grail yeah is it the script for killer yeah I think I've read a funny article when they said it's Elvis's gold suit which I I like that it's not but I like it it took you I did I said the I think the fifty million fans can't be wrong I have two pairs I was cool man you were cool and cool I watched your movie and I go I cannot wait to discuss it oh yeah I have had some very loud conversations about the Foley work and Kill Bill I've gone note it was I promise you that's bowling ball skittles I promise I know you're wrong no I trust me I'm finding on YouTube so yeah that brings my life joy now I want you to go in that bag and find no but I had let's just ask about a couple of mementos which one is it it's the one that says bad [ __ ] where is the bad and wallet right now oh it's in a case in my house all right I have a little case for the certain kind of props and so the bad [ __ ] wallet is there the mr. blonde straight razor from Reservoir Dogs is there I have a few things like that where do you keep it [ __ ] wagon now this one a garage I would yeah I'd lot that away just like I don't want that well you like it takes up a lot of room in the old driver so unless I'm gonna take a cross-country trip in which I have done shut the front door really yeah well I drove it to base that's that's across a little country yeah yeah I've been from here I remember in Los Angeles a little but nevertheless we cross country for sure hey you're a [ __ ] doll me don't you forget it when you cast a cast like this when you look this guy's down he must speak on I've got a movie I have well no I definitely did all right you know but people are asking me they're like well did you write with them in mind and go well I guess I did but I couldn't assume that I would get them I mean like this is like the casting cue of the century yeah people when I talk about it they go ready mm-hmm three of them yeah yep but look in the case of Brad and and Leo who I've worked with before I think this just mom not nice to be look I'm I'm just lucky where like they respond to my work mm-hmm you had my curiosity now you have my attention if I send them a script to read they will definitely read I mean unless it's like I say and neither one of these guys books themselves up three pictures deep you know so you know so unless they're doing something at that particular moment and you can maybe get them sure it's conceivable but I'm just lucky about the fact that they you know what you do they like my work so they wanna read it and then we can talk about the character push it I'd like to ask you cuz I read it in Empire Magazine that you've been watching all the MCU Marvel movies these days what was your reaction to seeing the reference to as he kill Ezekiel 25:17 the path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil me on the gravestone of Nick Fury in a think I want to say Winter Soldier yeah yeah yeah I want your selfie oh so you've experienced this sort of thing before you get used to it it must be just like there I am again yeah I had no idea was coming but there we are well I knew it was coming because I ended up watching Sam Jackson on the Jimmy Fallon show and Jimmy Fallon mentioned you know for the Tarantino fans out there there's this big thing well the fact that I grew up with Marvel comic books and you know uh the Marvel Universe before it was a cinematic universe when it was just basically a Stanley Jack Kirby and Lloyd Thomas's web-spinning nuff said ha ha ha you remember the Fantastic Four oh yeah with that invisible [ __ ] famous thing [ __ ] looks just like doesn't think probably the first commentary I Verret was the Stanley so clangs so the fact that all of a sudden my universe was now being quoted inside of as closed gate as the Marvel Cinematic Universe is felt pretty good yeah and also attending infinity war with Sam Jackson saying mother and I went and when fans bump into you in the street or they they see you out and about what do they typically say what's a casual Tarantino fan saying to you and they bump into you usually it's just it's usually just letting me know that my work met something that don't be I've been doing it 27 years now it sounds even strange to say so they could really mean that I mean they could have followed me along the way gonna leave one moment they could be older than me so they found me along their way go or it could be they grow up in a world where I just already exist three mommy bang maybe they saw my first film as you know 10 or 12 up his ass so as far as they've known the world has always had a guy like me anyway [Music] and I never take that for granted it's pretty moving and I and I always try to give them the respect that they're giving Ali Plumb is a great interviewer who really knows his shit. If you can, watch the entire series ("Movies that made me"). Most of them are excellent. He asks really great questions, which most of the interviewees notice and comment on.

I don't agree that King Fu Panda is a 'Stright up parody of Kill Bill'

It has it's Kill Bill influence, but it's also mining form the same stuff Kill Bill mined from.

That being said it's a cool video.
