but i think the most difficult thing definitely here has been there's so many of these um you know is it acronym acronym like when you shorten when you take a thing and you shorten it down acronym like there's so many of those here like like talk like fbi ymca so many just so many and people just use them in conversations people just use them people just assume that everybody knows every single acronym even people who moved here like a week ago and people to say to me they say things like i'm going through tsa at jfk can i bring a pbj i have a phd and i uh i take cbd for my add [Applause] and i'm like well you're just yelling out letters like what you're like because i studied english i studied like we we in school they taught us english back home they taught us but they mostly they mostly told us words i know so many words but we didn't go through all these acronym things because back home we didn't have actually like when i was growing up we had only two acres only two ufo hiv that's it [Laughter] only those two but here it's everything every even official papers when i moved here they gave me a form to fill out first line on the form d-o-b no explanation i was like this could be anything [Music] dead on the beach d.o.b then the following line was ssn and i was like oh i think i know this saturday night live but then i did my first show at a comedy club here the club owner said hey you have to fill out a w-9 and i was like what the [ __ ] is that and he said it's a form for the irs well what the [ __ ] is that and then he was like you shouldn't say that you should say wtf and i was like what the [ __ ] is wtf people just use them people say like i think it's dangerous to assume that everybody knows these acronyms like one guy was yelling like help i need cpr well i have absolutely no idea what that is so he died so it's dangerous but but i am determined to learn all these actions because i live here now i live in america i live in the land of acronyms even the name of the country usa like that's the first hint that there's going to be so many of those here because the name and actually even usa that's like that's even like nobody in america says usa no but like people just say u.s just the u.s so who has time to say the a like even an acronym is too long but i'm determined to learn all these acronyms so i'm going to learn them and i figured the best way to learn them is a little song there's this um thank you there's this one uh song that has lots of letters in it the alphabet the alphabet song i just moved the letters around a little bit and now it's the acronym sound abc nbc hbo mtv ptsd from dmv dui with suv ibs ocd fyi std [Applause] [Music] so
